Fantastic experience: Very kind dental assistants and dentists. I had come in on an emergency and was able to get seven teeth, ones that have caused me pain for years, removed. I am currently healing great and cannot thank them enough. They have a long appointment line but accept emergency walk ins nonetheless. Great work and i plan to return and get on a plan to improve dental health/teeth.

Fantastic experience: Getting my mouth and smile back beautiful and Ideal Dental of Winston Salem is a great place for to start. I surely like to mention Dr Jackson and Marsha for there great support and care for me. I strongly recommend them and appreciate that great service. IDWS where to go for all your dental work.

Negative experience: It's 2026, people. If you're going to offer the option to book online at least contact people. I'll find somewhere else to go to get my tooth extracted. Update as of 1/19. I have still been trying to book an appointment, but this place still refuses to call me. The pain is only getting worse, but I guess they don't care.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Henry Jackson was amazing he was very gentle and made sure my experience was on point. I had a very bad experience with a previous root canal and was very scared. Dr. Henry ensured me that he would make sure this experience was different and he did. Thank you Dr. Henry. My day started off with Marsha which was the dental assistant she was amazing and made me feel so comfortable. She set the tone for my day and made it feel so much better. This duo work so well together. I will make them my go to and I really appreciate them both for the gentle care and kindness they provided. See yall soon❤️

Negative experience: I was seen as a walk-in/emergency patient. I understand that waiting is expected, but I waited over three hours in excruciating pain with no communication. After finally being taken back for X-rays, the staff went to lunch without explanation, leaving me waiting another hour in pain. When I asked for an update, I was told the doctor had stepped away and wouldn’t return for another 20–30 minutes. At that point, the only “treatment” I had received was staff tapping on my teeth to identify the source of pain. There was no sense of urgency or concern for my condition. The procedure itself was quick and done well, but the lack of communication was extremely disappointing. The young Hispanic woman who took my second X-ray was rude and dismissive. When I told her the machine was cutting and causing pain, she said it was “supposed to be uncomfortable,” repeatedly told me to bite down, sighed, gave me an irritated look, and aggressively adjusted the machine, making me feel like an inconvenience rather than a patient in pain. Dr. Jackson was kind and efficient, and the young Indian woman who assisted was incredibly sweet and made me laugh during the appointment. They are the only reason for the two stars. Overall, this was a very poor experience. I felt unseen and dismissed, and multiple patients were leaving due to the excessive wait, showing this was not an isolated issue.

Negative experience: Had an appointment as a new patient. Waited 40 minutes before I was taken back. A tech took X-rays and got some information. 10 minutes. Then I was told the hygienists were too busy to see me. However she would send the dentist in once he was available. I sat in the chair for an hour. While I was waiting I could hear a lady in the office training another employee on how to upsell services to patients. It was only when I got out of the dental chair and took the paper bib off while the dentist was walking by that he talked to me. He apologized for the tardiness. There had been many walk ins. Since when did walk ins get seen before people with appointments. On top of that they double book. Wouldn't recommend.

Negative experience: I had an appointment scheduled today that I understood would include both a tooth extraction and a cleaning. When I arrived, I was told that only my wisdom teeth were scheduled for extraction. I asked why the cleaning couldn’t also be done and was told that cleanings are usually not performed on the same day as extractions. However, during my previous consultation, I was clearly told that both the cleaning and the extractions would be done at this appointment. If this had been communicated to me ahead of time, I would have chosen to have only the cleaning done and rescheduled the extractions, especially to avoid any inconvenience to the doctor. This points to a communication issue within the office. After discussing the situation, I was scheduled for and received the cleaning. Afterward, I was informed that I would be charged a cancellation fee for not having the extractions done, which was never mentioned to me beforehand. This was frustrating, as had I known about this policy, I would have gone ahead with the procedure. I go to the dentist regularly, and this was my first visit to this office. Based on the reviews, I had high expectations. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet them. Overall, the establishment comes across as organized on paper but inconsistent in execution. The staff doesn’t seem malicious or incompetent, but they appear disconnected, poorly aligned, and insufficiently trained in communicating expectations and policies clearly.

Fantastic experience: This is the best place that I’ve been to in a while. I love the environment and the people . There very friendly and they help out in anyway they can. And if you have a question or are confused they will answer you or explain to the best of their ability . Dr Jackson and his team are amazing and I’m forever grateful . Thank yall soooo much

Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff very informative on the information you need to know about the services procedures accept Medicaid and most insurance. Very pretty office space very welcoming. Not very long wait times they get you in and they get you out. Overall from what I can see so far this is a very good practice.

Fantastic experience: I had two teeth extracted today and I was absolutely in shambles because I have pretty bad dental anxiety. Dr. Jackson and his assistant (I don’t want to mess up her name) were AMAZING. They were so patient, calming, and gentle. I didn’t feel any pain at all, even the numbing part. I 100% recommend them and am so grateful for such a great experience.

Positive experience: The dentist I had was very knowledgeable and wasn’t quick to just want to pull my tooth out. We talked about the problem and what my options were and we decided on the best course of treatment. They are a walk in clinic so I did have to wait about an hour and a half before being brought to the back. I’ll definitely make an appointment next time.

Fantastic experience: Hello, first off I would like to say this is one of the first dental establishments I’ve been to that really made me feel welcome & the upmost comfort. Ms.Syreeta Shoffuer was my dental hygienist & she was by far the BEST I’ve ever been too. She’s very helpful & her kindness was one of a kind. I will continue to get my cleanings there. Everyone is very professional. I am a pleased client.

Fantastic experience: I am a single mom and have been needing work since two pregnancies! I had a really bad tooth that was abscessed for months prior to my appointment I took antibiotics until I couldn’t anymore. I went to my appointment and I was really embarrassed because of how I haven’t been able to seek care with working full time and with no help for my babies for child care options, and had to take them with me, a two year old and seven month old.. so they wanna touch everything and play and do not wanna sit still for me . The women here strolled them around while I got work done, really I’m scared of the dentist (bad trauma as a child from so much work) but I really appreciate that the women here just offered because they seen it was hard for me, I don’t ever even get that small break for anything. I work non stop and try my best but I was referred here by a friend, I don’t trust many dentists or like having to get a new one but I was very happy that I went because I needed to and I was really surprised that the people who work here actually care. They talk nicely about patients instead of being mean or judgmental behind their backs and really wanna help you better yourself. I am getting back on track with my own appointments for everything but I felt like you guys cared to help me and you don’t find that anymore. Thank you for everything thank you doctor Jackson, see you next month!

Fantastic experience: i am terrified of a dentist. I seen dr jackson, and his dental assistant Eric. They walked me through step by step of what they were doing . I live 4 hours away but will most definitely be making that drive to come see them again for any future dental work .

Negative experience: I’m disappointed, my cleaning appointment lingered more than one hour and half before leaving the clinic before the dentist exam. I don’t believe I will come back

Fantastic experience: Open Saturday, great dr and staff. I had to wait a while, but that was expected for an emergency Saturday dentist visit. Affordable too

Negative experience: Got a text today saying I owed $800 plus for services done in March I was under the impression that insurance covered a larger part. My issue is in eight months no one from ideal reached out to me to let me know I owed money. One month from Christmas and I get this text and email. Very poor business practices.

Positive experience: I broke a tooth and called first thing Monday morning. They offer walk-in during the mornings, so if you need help just show up when they open. The wait was significant but everyone was pleasant and helpful. I had Marsha and Dr. Jackson, both were kind and professional. They listened and accommodated my requests. Nobody wants to have dental work but if you need help urgently, they got me taken care of.

Fantastic experience: I went into the office for an emergency visit. I was in so much pain and I had been waiting to get into another but they kept putting me me off. But when I walked into here they got me in same day and I didn’t even have to wait long. Their office was so nice and friendly very open to helping not just me but others came in also. From my first time walking in to ask questions, I genuinely felt safe and easy talking to the front desk , they were friendly and professional.I instantly set up an appointment to get work done. The day of getting my root canal the front desk Mrs Dee is absolutely wonderful, she handle me with the care from the beginning to the end and still had that warm feeling. Negative experience: My appointment was scheduled for 8:30am was told they really don’t open until 9am. got in back at 10:30am. At 1:10pm I am still waiting for them to take my two wisdom teeth out. I am very upset. This was going to be my new dentist but this is insane.

Fantastic experience: The associates here are fun, vibrant, and very professional. I needed an immediate extraction and they got me in the next day with no trouble at all. The two ladies at the front were so sweet!

Fantastic experience: It was a typical Friday afternoon in early autumn. The leaves were turning from their acidic green hue to a more amber shade. A shade that usually signals coldness, a bitter end, an end of a life cycle. Things seemed to be going as nature had planned and that harsh "bitter end" if you will, had manifested itself as a pain, a sharp, constricting pain. A pain in the "odontias sophias", "the third molar", a wisdom tooth. Weeks upon weeks of pain; and finally I'd given in; I'd given up. "You've beaten me tooth." I said with a low sigh. Wearily, I reached out to a colleague at the bureau; they slipped me a name "Ideal Dental". I scoffed "Ideally I wouldn't have to go to a dentist." Time passed slowly over the next 48 hours, pain growing stronger and stronger. But finally the time had came; I barged into the reception area. The receptionists eyes locked with mine; the dame could tell I was in pain. She rushed me back into the clinic in a flash; they spotted the problem in an instant. THE TOOTH. Like a tick stuck to a dog, it had to be removed. Twenty minutes tops and that tooth was gone like an outlaw leaving the city. "THIS IS THE GREATEST DENTIST EVER" I exclaimed. I will be back.

Positive experience: The Dentist and hygienist were fantastic. The woman DeeDee who polished my teeth was rude and condescending, getting visibly and verbally annoyed at my ACTUAL inability to open my mouth wider than it already was. I hope today was just a bad day for her, but mainly hope I never have the displeasure of being DeeDee’s patient again.

Positive experience: I was pleased that the office could fit me in same day for my throbbing tooth pain. But as the afternoon went on, I was afraid I might be left in the waiting room. It was an hour and a half before I was seen. Dr Jackson seemed nice and professional. Because the pain was with the same tooth I had capped barely barely 2 months back, i am concerned something may have been missed. Marcia was fantastic in keeping me calm and updated.

Fantastic experience: I took my disabled son to this dentist office, and they were great with him! First visit the dental assistant was so patient with him, answering all of his questions, and laughing at his not so funny jokes!!! They were calm and understanding! Second visit they checked the sites of extractions. Everything was healing fine, but still painful. The doctor was very good with him, and reassured him until he was ok. I would recommend Ideal Dental to anyone who needs a dentist!!!

Fantastic experience: First of all I would love to thank Xaitlyn and Mr.Nathani for their great professionalism. Caitlyn has natural energy and helped me so much to get a great understanding. I respect that alot . DDS.Nathani very great. He comes in and gives me great info and detail for reasons for what needs to be done I feel comfortable everytime I've had an appointment. AgainThey break things down to you were it is very easy to understand and also very informative. And helpful. You can tell at Ideal they want the best results for the patients. Negative experience: This place is terrible I made an appointment for today and took off work and went there on time to be told that they couldn't see me because I was not on there schedule after I was sent several reminders....I will be going elsewhere....I've been going there for years and never had a problem but now things have changed for the worse the manager was rude and even gave me a card of the doctor not her boss so I could let them know how she is treating people also there was a lady in the waiting room she told me she had been there an hour waiting just terrible.....get it together people. They dont even deserve the one star I gave them

Fantastic experience: Honestly I hate the dentist I hate pain I hate getting teeth pulled but this experience was great they numbed my very well didn’t even feel a thing honestly I was so surprised the staff amazing like top tier dr racha was very sweet gentle and understanding and so was Mrs Tasha and mr eric they all took really great care of me kept me informed during the whole process talked laughed and make the experience really enjoyable for being at a dentist office they even accommodated me bc I have a breastfed baby !

Positive experience: The location of the building is amazing. The staff is very friendly and outgoing. The facility’s were very clean and definitely gave home vibes. I had an appointment at 10am I went to the back around 10:40. I ended up getting two teeth pulled the procedure was quick and both my doctors was amazing. My only problem with the dentist is they didn’t prescribe me any pain medication after my procedure. I told them I’m currently not working and wouldn’t be able to buy over the counter medication so they told me they would write me a prescription. I had to call them twice about the prescription just for it to still not be at my pharmacy. So now I have to hope and prey the pain is manageable until they open tomorrow.

Fantastic experience: I chose to switch dentist after over a decade and having a hard time getting appts in a reasonable amount of time and I had my son go here and he really liked it so I decided that if I trusted them to see my son that I should go here too. I though am not a people person and was a little scared but everyone was extremely nice and put me at ease immediately. I had to have 2 teeth surgically removed on my first visit which would have normally have been enough to scare me even at my old dentist I had been with since 2014 but oddly I wasn't scared at all, everything was explained to me so that I knew exactly what I needed done and how they were going to do it. One tooth did break as he was extracting it and he has to take it out in pieces but he once again explained everything to me as things went so that I knew exactly what was going on the entire time. My after care was also explained to me so that I knew how to take care of the area so that I didn't have any problems with it and was told to call immediately with any questions or concerns. I don't think you can ask for better people than that. Wendy

Positive experience: Went for an emergency walk in appointment on a Saturday, took about 2 hours to be seen. Needed tooth removal (850) or root canal (4500) but could not afford this. So will wait for Aspen dental on Monday for root canal (850-1400), and if pain becomes overbearing will go to emergency room and get some pain management medication instead. Surely the pain management medication will not as much as the 3000 dollar difference in root canal prices. Staff there was nice and polite as they could be, but being unable to eat for many days I became upset to hear them all discussing what they wanted to order for lunch while I waited in the chair. That with the prices of service made me look for other options. If I had 5 grand to spend on an emergency tooth operation I might have taken them up on the offer, or if my pain was excruciating and unmanageable. But i had just spent that amount buying a car and thus didnt have it on hand.. and am not interested in medical debt. (Monthly payments) I have full coverage insurance through the VA, being a fully disabled combat veteran, but it seems as if they denied coverage at this location, or there was some other issue. Not speaking bad about the place, it is there if someone needs something like right now, and is really the only place open on the weekends. So they definitely cover the niche of the market, but I just had my own personal problems that stood in the way of making such a commitment.

Negative experience: Went for cleaning and ended up with a bill for what they said they could do. Not the cleaning I had in mind. They did absolutely nothing, but told me I needed 3,000.00 dollars worth of work and told me they would clean my teeth after the work was done. I don't think so.

The dental assistant was very kind and sweet and every time she was going to do something she let me know what she going to do. I liked that. The dentist was nice as well. The wait was a little longer than expected but I figured it was because there was only one dentist. Other than that I'd definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: This is one of the best dentist offices I have visited by far the Dr. Jackson , Marcia, Kaitlyn and all the other staff have went above and beyond to make sure I had the best experience possible. Ms. Donara is always so helpful and thorough with answering any questions about billing or estimated cost for treatments which makes me happy because going to the dentist nowadays can be pricey depending on what is needed and Ms. D is always on top of it. Negative experience: The only decent person in the building was the receptionist. The nurse acted like she hated her job and, consequentially, you. The actual dentist wouldn't listen to a word I said; that is, of course, until I had to get up and leave of my own accord.
