Fantastic experience: Love the customer service. Short wait times. Explains everything so its easy to understand.

Negative experience: I used to go to them, I drive all the way from Dubuque Iowa to see them. Nobody else in my area would take my insurance but them. We’ve had a lot of appointments throughout the year or 2024. Iowa city & back due to a lot of hospitalizations. I literally couldn’t and still cannot find anyone else to take my insurance. They would rather “dismiss” me because I called under 24 hours (trying to drive back from Iowa city, thinking I’d make it) and let my mouth get all kinds of infected & going through so much pain when I have begged, offered to pay a fee to be seen again & nothing. The response I got back was “once a patient is dismissed, that’s it” there are a lot of families that go through Medicaid and can barely find anyone to take them. It’s a shame because you’d rather have someone go through pain and suffering instead of reason with them. I understand what’s done is done but the fact that nobody cared and I might not be the only person/family going through this says a lot about how little you guys care. That’s ok. I apologize on my behalf & Thank you.

Positive experience: I would give it 4 1/2 stars - only if the Dr wasn’t rushed . He seemed to be sincere and full of experience. Will be having my full mouth extraction on 3/3

Fantastic experience: I have been a client of Secure Dental for over 6 years and have always been treated with respect and dignity. Their office procedures are top notch, from online pre- check-in to reminder appointment phone calls. The dental assistants are knowledgeable and GENTLE. They aren’t abrasive when cleaning my teeth. The dentists that have treated me have been straightforward and clear on how to proceed with any treatment I may have needed. I was able to get a lifetime bonus offer of an item and even the owner of the practice, Dr. Jafrie, approved and confirmed same. I have never had a problem getting the items every 6 months, at the time of my cleaning. A very professionally run dental clinic. I highly recommend it.

Fantastic experience: All staff from receptiont, dental assistant to dentist are all very friendly, helpful and caring. It's a great dental experience. A good place for everyone especially for those that might have anxiety about going to the dentist.

Negative experience: Edit: now they’re FORCING you to give them credit card information to have an appointment. Had an appointment two+ months ago about a night guard needing replaced. Was told I would receive a call within 3 weeks. Called during the third week and was told by Angel “oh well it’s not ready yet, we will call you when it’s ready” - that was MAY 12TH and it had ALREADY. BEEN. WEEKS. It’s JUNE 6TH. it’s a pretty sorry excuse of a dental office “we need more time” only to waste MY time AND money. I was told ********BY SECURE DENTAL******** that I NEED this night guard and I need to be wearing it EVERY night - so what do they do when my first one breaks and I request a replacement? That’s right! ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. and don’t even bother trying to call one of their FOUR DIFFERENT TELEPHONE NUMBERS JUST FOR ONE LOCATION THAT NO ONE EVER ANSWERS. Because you’ll sit on hold with a stupid robot for god knows how long, until you FINALLY get an actual human to talk to about this issue. And that actual human says “oh well my boss is busy but she said she will look into it and call you then” SOUND FAMILIAR? This dental office is a joke. I had even referred patients to this office because of my first visit, but I will make ABSOLUTELY CLEAR that I do not support this office anymore.

Positive experience: Staff was helpful. Dentist was knowledge. In and out quickly. Took my insurance.

Positive experience: I was able to get an appointment rather quickly. Wait time in office was very short. The hygienist was very personable, but the dentist was very rushed, and seemed to rush through the cleaning process, and did not thoroughly examine my teeth, outside of examining the x-rays taken that day.

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff and Dentist and staff take time to answer any questions I have. Keep up the good work.

Negative experience: I like this dentist well enough, but I just had a tooth pulled and they came in to make me pay my portion while I was in the chair with a numb mouth. To be pressured to pay the whole bill befor your even out of the chair seems a bit of a strong arm tactic. Other dentist have allowed me to make payments on a balance the insurance co didn’t cover. This makes it very difficult if you have a large amount of work that needs to be done.

But let me tell you that anxiety leaves you the minute you walk through the doors here. Very friendly staff throughout the facility. Very good at letting you know what the procedure involves. Very conscious of your pain tolerance. If you have to go to a dentist. This is the one.

Positive experience: I really am a critic to doctors and dentists. I find them all to rush you in and out without care, impersonable, and condesending. NOT at Secure Dental. The dentists are indeed speeding around, but only to provide as much care in their packed office as possible. My hand was shook with introduction and before the dentist was zipping off to the next one. My comfort physically and mentally were considered without queue. The staff was upbeat. Glasses girl hummed me a tune while she cleaned my teeth and subtly raved about her love for her job and the dentists she works for. Their charm was infectious. It was the fastest and most painless experience I have had at a dental office, and I had two teeth pulled. Im excited to have finally found a dentist I fully intend to return to. ---- 12/14/25 update ---- The dentist upset my child by not explaining procedures before putting needle like tools in her mouth. The dentist and technician tried to restrain her and asked for me to, instead of taking a few moments to explain what the tool was and calming my child.

Fantastic experience: I am a freak when it comes to having dental work done. I found a cavity about a month ago. Made an appointment to get the cleaning and to have the cavity checked out. Turned out I needed a root canal. I've always heard nightmare about root canal so I'm dreading it. What an amazing experience! I didn't feel a thing! Since I hadn't been to a dentist in quite some time, I also had five other superficial cavities taken care of at the same time. The whole process took roughly an hour. He doesn't mess around! Everyone was great at answering all my questions and dealing with my freaking out! I highly recommend Secure Dental!!!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Kang was professional and courteous and explained everything clearly and completely with enthusiasm for his job! His receptionists were kind and courteous as well as his assistant Marie/Maria!? I was in serious pain and I saw a dentist, Gene Mueller, on July 31st about my tooth loss and mouth pain and he told me that I needed the remaining upper teeth removed but to keep the bottom teeth I had remaining so a partial would have something to hold on to! Then informed me that I had an infection and ended by saying he didn't extract teeth anymore and referred me to Iowa City College of Dentistry without addressing my gum infection with a prescription for antibiotics! Called Secure Dental August 11th after suffering through 4 days of unbearable pain and was in the office August 12th and left with ALL teeth removed, no mouth pain, prescription for antibiotics and painkillers and a plan for a "big beautiful smile" as said by Dr. Kang! Will be my D D S. from here on out!

Fantastic experience: Every time I go to secure dental, it's nice, clean and quiet. I like that they have movies on in the waiting room for people to watch while waiting to be called. They make it easy to make an appointment or even cancel it should you have to. I have always had a great experience going there and I like it.

Fantastic experience: The Dentist at secure dental is very professional he does the dental work with minimal pain. Because of a previous stroke my soft palate is paralyzed but they have been very considerate of my problems.

They take the time to explain everything and answer any questions. And they never make us feel rushed, as it takes time to explain the procedure to my elderly mother. Fantastic experience: I have been going to the Secure Dental located in Davenport, IA on Utica Ridge Road for about 1yr now and I can express with sincerity that it has been a great experience!!!! I for one am not one to stay up to date on appointments, especially dental appointments but going to this location has been AWESOME. My children loves the dentist which impresses me more because I was expecting them to be horrified based on others experiences; but this faculty takes pride in encouraging the patients to feel "Secure with their Dental" experience.The facility is ALWAYS clean inside and out and they follow proper CDC guidelines. The front staff, nurses and dentist are patient and have no issues addressing any questions or concerns you have. My family's favorite staff member is Amber. This lady is amazing, she knows her job and her personality is friendly yet professional. My dentist is Dr. Vang and I'll just say this, Dr. Vang and Amber encouraged me to actually feel good about my smile. Now my dentist appts are as important as my nail appointments. I recommend this company to ANYONE!

Negative experience: Referred to Iowa City for root canal that was January 27 2025. Had to return March 31 to complete. Several arguments between Iowa City and secure it was finally decided secure needed to do crown. Fast-forward to end of October and still do not have crown. My last visit for general checkup included pain with xrays, Dr putting my head down so low water from rinse started going up my nose and had to spit it out, hit nerves a few times and no flossing. I do have appt nov 12 so hopefully I'll finally get crown.

Negative experience: This place is the worst. They cancelled my son’s appointments and didn’t even let me know until I actually went in for the appointment and they didn’t even reschedule. Waste of time and unprofessional.

Positive experience: Most of the staff are absolutely fabulous. I feel they overbook themselves so they have to rush through your appointment. I had one assistant who did the exray stick thing and kept hitting my bad tooth Kla came and took over and was nice and calm and took her time but from that one assistant that kept hitting my tooth caused me to be in pain for a week until doc got me in to take tooth out. I ended up getting permanent dentures on the top which are absolutely fabulous expensive but wonderful i wish i could have afforded permanent for the bottom cause waiting for bottom teeth has been something else for me. I was not aware that the immediate denture would not fit whats so ever so it put me in kind of a rut. So if you decide to get dentures permanent are amazing. Cant wait till i can afford permanent bottom one.With all that said doctor is very nice and did answer my questions just wish there was a little bit more time he could spend. Negative experience: Why do you over schedule knowing yall can't even handle the normal amount of people. Waiting 25 plus mins after my appt time is very unprofessional, if I was to show up 25 mins late you wouldn't even see me, extremely ridiculous that you think your time is more valuable than someone else's. Please don't respond with an excuse bc this is every single time SMH. Thank you for dismissing me from your practice because I told you, my time is just as valuable as yours. And I questioned the way you clean my my child's teeth with a toothbrush and nothing more. I wouldn't trust you to take care of my goldfish Let alone my child again

Negative experience: I got barred from going there when I 15 for missing too many appointments. I understood, im 23 now asking to go back due to severe pain ive had for months. I asked them to make an exception due to the situation, and the fact that im an adult now and was banned due to an abusive parent. I know not to expect exception but my abuse shouldn't be held against me. They don't really care

Fantastic experience: Quick and easy on my end. Easiest day visiting the dentist ever and I hadn't been in quite a long time. They had to remove a wisdom tooth and it took less time then the Dr mentioned prior to the procedure. Hands down recommend and don't be afraid of the dentist. I use to be and am no longer mentally fearing to visit.

Fantastic experience: The doctor and nurses here are extremely professional and make you feel comfortable. I have severe dental anxiety that kept me away from the dentist for 15 YEARS and my teeth were in bad shape, Dr Kang made me feel heard, answered all my questions thoroughly so that I could understand and did everything we could to save my teeth and bring a smile back into my life. Would highly recommend and they also take state insurance...my whole family are now patients here coming from Familia Dental.

Fantastic experience: I was so impressed with the staff from the front desk to my tech, dentist. I have a fear of the dentist from when I was a child. Due to an injury I was so embarrassed to go. They all made me feel so comfortable. They explained the process, showed me the X-rays. All the steps to get it taken care of. Gave me options. Didn’t just want to take the easy way out. Hands down the best dentist office I have EVER stepped into. Dr.Kang was so kind and eased my mind. I felt heard, and not just here’s what we need to do! He didn’t rush me into making a choice. Fantastic experience: I had 8 teeth pulled... yes I had some discomfort while pulling them but I had no discomfort/pain after words which myself and family were shocked lol. The Dr was very caring and took my anxiety to heart. The girls were super nice, caring and answered all my questions with care and understanding. This was my 2nd appt for work to be done, I have a couple more appts and I am sure they will go just as well.

Negative experience: I confirmed with Iowa Medicaid, Wellpoint, and MCNA that I do NOT have Nebraska dental insurance — they all told me Nebraska has no record of me. But Secure Dental keeps insisting I have Nebraska dental insurance in their system and refuses to update it. Instead of fixing their error, they kept passing me around and telling me to call the insurance myself (which I already did). Reading other reviews, I see the same pattern: they don’t update insurance correctly, they overbook, and they don’t take patient concerns seriously. This isn’t just inconvenient — it’s stressful

Fantastic experience: Hands down the best dental experience I’ve had in all 28 years of my life! I’ve been terrified of going to the dentist since I was a kid, but Secure Dental completely changed that. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel comfortable and at ease. They were incredibly gentle, efficient, and kind—and I barely felt the numbing needle, which is a first for me! If you have a child who’s nervous about the dentist (or if you're anxious yourself), I can’t recommend this place enough. The care here is truly next-level. You’ll be amazed!

Fantastic experience: I absolutely hate going to the dentist. Ewww them needles. But at Secure Dental they eased into it so it wasn't so bad. They even got me in for an appointment next day as a new patient even. How often does that happen? So overall a positive experience.

They let me ramble on with my nervous conversation. The talked me through what was going to happen and that they would be there for me. I had three teeth pulled and it was the best dental experiences ever. I had minimal pain during and after the procedure. To the very sweet, very tiny dental hygienist who let me squeeze her hand. I apologize for squeezing so hard. I hope your hand is ok. The front office staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Overall it was a great dental visit. I would highly recommend. I will keep up with my dental care. Thank you for everything.

Fantastic experience: This was one of the best experiences that I’ve ever had at secure dental. My appointment was at 11 for a broken tooth and I was walking out at 11:30! Great customer service, and the dentist was You guys can’t come in here and talk top notch!!

Fantastic experience: Dr.Daniel was great, ive never had anyone work so fast and efficiently, while taking my concerns seriously. Trinity has the most calming voice, it was a great help as I was very scared. Dana and everyone at the practice was nice and welcoming, the receptionist even setting up a hotspot on her phone so I could access my files. Ten thumbs way up!

Negative experience: I was very upset going to Dr. Kangs office- went in for 2 small cavities and it took him 20 minutes to come in room to give me a numbing shot and said we have to wait 10 minutes so he left and waited on other patients and came back an HOUR later!! Very terrible experience
