She is so re-assuring, so friendly and welcoming, so efficient....Terry is the best ambassador any dental practice could possibly have. Dr.Lais is great...a crackerjack dental surgeon. The office staff is genuinely welcoming, helpful, professional, efficient and knowledgeable. I travel quite a ways, bypassing any number of dental offices, to come here. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

She takes her time to make sure you are comfortable and she has answered all your questions. Her l assistant is just as wonderful and they make a great team. They basically don’t need to talk, they just know what they are doing and are very much on top of it. The staff is professional. They are pleasant and courteous. There always seems to be different staff. Maybe they just work different shifts.

Positive experience: Dr. Vogell was very nice along with his assistant Terry.. I had come in previously for a cracked tooth & another that was causing a little bit of pzin. Dr. Vogel set me up for a root canal , before receiving a crown, hiwever i since have cracked another tooth which actually relieved the the pain to the tooth infrint if it. Dr. Vogell had me come in today to check it out & said being the pain was relieved, that we will wait a few weeks to make sure i remain pain free & can bupass the root canals & just get the crowns dine. I appreciate himm giving me the benefit of the doubt & waiting to see what happens before proceeding. Thank you very much. A satisfied patient!

The dentist, Dr. Renda, whom I have met but haven’t had any dental work as of yet, has offered opinions that I trust and have recently scheduled the first dental work I will experience at this office.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Leis and her assistant Brian were the best! I was very nervous before extracting my tooth ( it was my first extraction) and Dr. Leis made it very comfortable and very easy, did not feel any pain or discomfort!

Fantastic experience: Henry is a great dental hygienist. He is thorough and considerate. It's great catching up with him every six months. Some places make you feel like you're a stranger each time you come in, but he makes you feel like you belong.

Fantastic experience: Kate is the best hygienist I have ever gone to. She’s always on time, prepares ahead of time by reading my chart and familiarizing herself with my history before I’m even in the chair, and gentle with the cleanings. Completely professional while being very personable as well. Sachem Dental is lucky to have her. Dr. Mazzola was quite pleasant as well! :)

Negative experience: Horrible experience at this location. My insurance was billed for two crowns, but instead a two-part bridge was placed in my mouth — something we never discussed or agreed on. I am young, and a bridge is not appropriate since it cannot be flossed in between. The office requested the wrong item, and instead of correcting their mistake, the dentist went ahead and placed the bridge anyway. When I questioned it, I was met with attitude rather than a solution. They made no effort to resolve the issue or address my concerns. Extremely unprofessional and unacceptable.

Fantastic experience: I had an emergency request and my dentist at Sachem Dental in Nesconset, was not in on that Saturday. Dr. Joe Renda made room in his schedule to see me. Dr. Renda and his staff were very professional and thorough. His kindness is greatly appreciated.

My hygienist was very professional, and friendly. I thought the facility was clean. My cleaning went great. Fast. Front desk everyone was professional and friendly also. No waiting to check out. I made my next cleaning appointment and that was it. I have been here several times and I have always had the same experience otherwise I would not have written this review. I would recommend Sachem Dental to anyone!

Negative experience: The denist is good. The office staff...no. Choosing a new Medicare plan in Dec 2024 they assured me they accepted Cigna Medicare. I explained Humana Medicare was ending their participation in Medicare at end of 2024. 6-months later they call me, ask for my new Cigna Medicare card information. I give it to them. They confirm all was good after checking my account number. I show up today for my appointment and they say they don't take Medicare, only regular Cigna. If you have high blood pressure, skip this place. Their dentist deserves a better staff!

Negative experience: I had appt at 1.45 pm and arrived 1.52 pm due to heavy rain and traffic plus I was waiting for two min in the office to be called and I explained to them but they refused to see me and receptionist was very rude to me Plus after they made the appointment in advance for 6 months for cleaning and then when I called to confirm my appt they told me that I did not have one , very unprofessional and disgraced

I have been to the Smithtown office a handful of times now in the last year and the service is consistently excellent. The dental assistant who did my xray was very gentle and knowledgeable. She answered all my questions with care and concern for my well-being. Dr. Georgakopoulos was timely with my appointment and reviewed the work he was going to do before he started. He was kind and considerate with my comfort during my procedure. He explained the treatment plan going forward and assisted me with making and appointment. The front office staff was friendly and efficient .I will be returning to the office in three weeks to complete the procedure. I highly recommend this Dental office. They are consistently EXCELLENT at Sachem Dental Group Smithtown.

Fantastic experience: I am a person with moderate anxiety of going to the dentist. When I need to have “work” done that anxiety goes thru the roof. Dr. Renda has always been extremely patient with me and incredibly kind. He checks on me every few minutes and makes sure that I’m ok to proceed. This is something that to the average person is a walk in the park. For me it’s what actually gets me thru the door to do what I have to do. I simply won’t go anywhere else. Thank you for realizing and taking the extra steps to make sure that I’m as comfortable as I can possibly be. Highly recommend Dr. Renda to anyone with anxiety going to see a dentist.

Negative experience: It took a long time to find a dentist who I liked which is why I would drive from Miller Place to Nesconset to see Dr. Renda. However unfortunately, I had to stop coming here because of the billing staff. Every visit, I would pay whatever was owed with Cash. however, I keep receiving invoices in the mail saying that I owe what was already paid. Is this someone pocketing cash? Is it some sort of fraud? is it just extreme lack of ability to perform a job correctly? I am not normally a negative review person but this is beyond outrageous now. I am a business owner, I pay all of my bills in cash at time of service. It's sad that you have a Great Dentist at your location but the horrific billing department is who pushes clients away. Time for a Re-Structure.
