Fantastic experience: Me and my two boys (ages 16 & 10)were all seen at the same time with 3 different hygienist. I had Meaghan who I just love! When they finished with my boys, they brought them into my room with Dr. Severance and went over their records with me. While they are all very professional we ended up having a few laughs and great conversation! All this after being greeted by Mazie which my son loved!

Negative experience: My bottom, denture experience and journey was a complete nightmare at pinnacle dentistry. If you plan on being a patient here, I hope you are very rich and VERY easy on your dentures. *I gave a three star because the staff is nice, other than that l, it is a regret going there. $14,000 for bottom dentures… That broke in half the first month of wearing them! . Not to mention it has not been a pleasant experience getting them to fit and stay right as well. After 5+ visits to pinnacle, I got to subpar $14k bottom teeth., But hey, when is getting dentures in a pleasant experience? For my top denture, I was referred and went to MUSC and paid $5000 for top teeth, which I have no issues with, 2 visits and have not broken, also they are much easier to take in and out. For $14,000 I should be able to eat what I want and not worry about them breaking, Which cost me hundreds of dollars to have repaired NOT replaced. If you were in the market for dentures, I recommend you check out MUSC’s program or Dr. Gillespie in Mount Pleasant.

Negative experience: I have been seeing Dr Greenberg for many years and I absolutely adore him. However, since he has taken his patients to Peninsula, I have had to seek elsewhere. The dental insurance I have is of course out of network which typically is fine. But I was told today upon being called to the back that I would need to pay over $500 out of pocket (for a CLEANING)! They happily let me leave with no service since I was not willing to pay that amount for a scheduled routine cleaning. I’ve never in my life had to pay such for a cleaning. I felt insulted and embarrassed and sad at the and time. Sad because i truly adored Dr Greenberg and have always been loyal to him. Insulted because i believe a cleaning (which I don’t mind paying the average cost for out of pocket knowing my insurance will reimburse me), but I’m willing to bet the insurance is not going to reimburse me over $500 for a cleaning leaving me to essentially pay for my cleaning. I pay for dental insurance and have happily reached out to family recommendations for a more cost friendly and in network dentist that I will now be seeing that won’t charge me over $500 out of my pocket today. That was super unexpected and quite unprofessional. I never chose to visit this dentist but was hoping to continue to follow my dentist. In the beginning they had told me that they would send the claim to the insurance company to be reimbursed. Over $500 is excessive for a simple cleaning for this single working mother of two.

Fantastic experience: I made an emergency appointment due to a cracked crown. I was instructed to come in within an hour. The old portion was removed and a new crown placed. Dr. Severance and staff were extremely accommodating. I've been with this practice for over 40 years and have always been satisfied with my treatment.

Negative experience: Was by far my favorite dentist office I've visited but my last visit I felt scammed. Instead of discussing insurance or anything before hand. I was called back, x-rays done and was told I needed an extraction which is exactly what I wanted. Then a nurse comes in and tell me the extraction would be $480 and I asked about my insurance and was told no I'm out of their coverage. Once I decline the extraction I was quickly guided out of the seat back up front to pay my $173 for the x-rays. All of this is understandable, but then I asked why wasn't this discussed with me before hand while I was waiting in the office, I was told. "I don't handle insurance" nothing else nothing more.

Fantastic experience: Peninsula is awesome! The front desk is always welcoming and efficient! The care is top notch from both the hygienists and the doctors. I’ve dealt mostly with Dr. Severance who is clearly very detail oriented and super friendly. It never feels rushed at all. 10/10 would highly recommend for all things teeth!

Negative experience: Beware of expensive overtreatment masked by smooth talk and good reviews. I trusted them based on their high ratings, but I regret it deeply. One of my upper left teeth was overtreated, and I was pressured into unnecessary procedures that have caused more harm than help. If you value your oral health, be cautious and seek a second opinion before proceeding with any treatment here.

Fantastic experience: Carrie did a great job cleaning my teeth. They feel and look so clean and white, thank you! Also, Dr. Wisner helped to alleviate the pain I had when biting down by filing the spot on my tooth where I had created friction. No pain, and it was quick and easy. They always do a great job and are very friendly. I was most impressed with their precautionary procedures set in place to handle Covid-19 safely.

Positive experience: 1 Star: The turnover of all the employee positions here is so high -- dentists, assistants, hygienists, and front office. I never know who will still have a job the next time I come in. 5 Stars: Impeccably clean. All the best equipment, including same day crowns. Parking is much better than it was when I started coming here 10+ years ago.

Fantastic experience: I drive from two hours away to come here because Dr. Wisner and staff are that good! I was so nervous about getting an implant done but from the minute I walked in the door everyone was so kind and made me feel so comfortable. Liz was my assistant today and she was so sweet. She made sure I was comfortable, offered me water, and was so knowledgeable. Dr. Wisner did an amazing job with the implant. I didn’t feel any pain at all and he took his time explaining everything to me and answering any questions I had. Everyone always has such a great attitude and is genuinely happy to be there and it shows in their work. Thank you so much for always doing such a great job and making the experience a great one!

Negative experience: Covering the cost of a cleaning that’s $281 should be something you cover prior to treating a patient. Particularly when you no longer cover the insurance that’s been used by that patient and provider. It’s especially fun when you have two kids at once. $562 for cleanings. And the extra fluoride treatment without verifying with the parent was the added bonus!

Fantastic experience: Kamryn and Dr. Thomas were fabulous. They showed me the x-rays and pictures they took and explained what they would look for and what they were looking at. They worded the conversation in ways that non-dentist people would understand so I didn't feel like I was lost! I love them and I'll be back for my Invisalign.

Fantastic experience: Often times I have heard others use the phrase “This person was a God send” . Having never truly experienced this, I would just smile along and support this person in their statement. However this all changed when a co worker made a suggestion to me that I am eternally grateful for. I will tell anyone that Dr Luke Severence and his staff at Peninsula Cosmetic and Family Denistry were truly a Godsend. About two and a half weeks ago I suffered a crack molar and was in excruciating pain. I live in Pooler, Ga and I called every Dentist in the area to see if I could have an emergency walk in appointment. Almost every office I called either didn’t offer the service, didn't accept my insurance, or were booked out until late March or early April. I eventually found a emergency 24hr dental service in Savannah that assured me that they could help me but I would have to pay a consultation fee, pay for X-rays and the cost of any extractions as they presented out of pocket. I was in pain so I agreed. After my first visit I was placed on antibiotics and the extraction was scheduled the following week. I never knew a tooth could hurt so badly but I endured the pain and showed up for the removal. What I endured was worse than I could ever explain. The Doctor asked me if I was ready and injected me several times to numb the pain and although half my face was numb and I was drooling I could still feel the mind numbing pain whenever he probed my tooth. I thought that was a sign to try another technique however the dentist proceeded to apply so much pressure on my jaw trying to pull my cracked tooth that I’m sure at one point I was looking over his shoulder into my own mouth telling him “That’s not going to work”. He continued to yank and pull so hard that he not only lifted the tooth out of the socket so that I couldn’t close my mouth, he also gave me a nice sharp edge from the freshly cracked tooth that constantly stabbed my tongue whenever I took a breath. Sweating profusely, he finally gave up and told me that I would have go see an oral surgeon the following week to have the tooth removed under anesthesia. Bleeding, bruised and on the verge of tears because I couldn’t close my mouth, I scheduled the appointment and went home and passed out from the pain. The following night I was sharing my ordeal with a co worker and after a few painful laughs she told me of a Dentist in Charleston SC that she had visited. She gave Dr Luke Severence at Peninsula Cosmetic and Family Dentistry high praise and provided me with number. I work nights so I went onto the website and completed the questionnaire explaining my ordeal. I wasn’t expecting to hear from anyone until Monday, but to my surprise Dr Luke contacted me immediately and asked if I wanted to come in the next morning (Saturday am). I quickly took the appointment and made the 1.5 hr drive to his office. Dr Luke Severence met me at the door and patiently and very professionally explained the process. Dr Severence immediately put me and my husband at ease with his knowledge and gentle approach. He expertly removed my tooth and took care of some the damage from the previous attempt at extraction. I highly recommend Peninsula Cosmetic and Family Dentistry to anyone in the Savannah and South Carolina area. Dr Luke Severence is definitely a Godsend and I am eternally grateful for his care.

Fantastic experience: There is no human on earth more terrified of a dental appointment than myself but my fears were quickly and finally put at ease today after leaving Peninsula this afternoon! From the welcoming and friendly receptionist, the dental hygienist, Callie, to Dr. Wisner - they all immediately eliminated the stress and reluctance I had before arriving. My decade long fear of having to endure even a simple cleaning is now in the past. They are genuinely kind, professional, and catered to my every need as far as bedside manner and hospitality. My one regret is that I hadn’t called them sooner as I have been avoiding the dentist chair for years. My teeth have been neglected due to my own fears of past experiences and in consequence now enduring the effects of that neglect but I have all the faith in the world that the fine people at Peninsula will get me back in shape! I would highly recommend them if you’re like me and avoid and put off what is a high priority in staying healthy.

Fantastic experience: I had issues with bone loss and gum inflammation / infection. From day one the staff makes you feel at ease, from the front desk to the dedicated dental hygienist to the Doctor in dentistry, The courtesy is paired by professionalism and state of the art techniques. I would trust their diagnostic as well as treatment plans. We all know how dental treatments are sooo expensive. However, buying the in-house insurance saves 20% of the cost. Moreover, the financing plan is a very good solution to pay over time and alleviate the burden of expensive yet necessary treatment. Being cost conscious, I feel that I don’t have to defer taking care of my precious teeth and gums any more.

Fantastic experience: Calli was my dental hygienist again today & as always she was thorough & professional cleaning my teeth. She also took pictures of questionable areas to alert the dentist. It is always a pleasure to work with Calli. Dr Thomas was my dentist today & he quickly & professionally assessed my dental health. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient of Dr. Wisner’s for 10 years. Aside from routine checkups, he’s put in several crowns and one implant for me. I can’t overstate the quality of his work. He stays on top of things but isn’t aggressive in pushing services and lets you know what your options are. Great guy, great demeanor, and great skill set.

Fantastic experience: First time I came, based on the referral of my son in law who has used them for many years. I was totally impressed of their professionalism, the time the doctor took to investigate my case and recommend three alternative solution options (with different costs). Then he discussed the pros and cons of the different solutions. I really liked this and I felt I had the details to choose the right alternative for me. This is what I call being a trusted partner. The facility is amazing, all hi-tech, and all the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I have now chosen to get three crowns which will be done in the same session from prep, creation of the crown and installation. I left and felt I couldn’t have expected anything better. I’m back next week for the crowns.

Negative experience: Unfortunately I was treated with an aggressive treatment plan and had gotten quite a few fillings here in 2020. I was back twice after receiving one filling and on the third visit it was discovered I needed a root canal. I spent a small fortune on numerous visits and asked for some sort of refund which they did do. 3 years later I’m still paying for the work I had done here…I just had to get 3 prior fillings redone.

Fantastic experience: Carmine (?) new hygienist was a total delight to work with. As I navigate the burial of my mother, sale of my Charleston home and purchase of new home in my native beloved Texas (all in a five day period) she exceeded all expectations. Be good to and hang onto that one!

I was sorry that Dr. McPherson was no longer with the practice but I wish her well with her more specialized practice with children with tongue tie.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Dr.Wisner for some years. I had gap on my dental appointments and with all the time that passed, my teeth and confidence suffered. I went in for my consultation appointment and Dr.Wisner heard my concerns , my goal, examined me and created a dental plan. Nervously, when I went in for my next appointment I honestly did not know what to expect. I knew that I was in good hands. At the end of my appointment, when I saw my results I was speechless. Getting my teeth back healthy is top priority to me but also being able to smile without feeling self-conscious was very important to me also and Dr.Wisner along with his amazing staff made that possible.

Most recently, I’ve had some tough health issues— I didn’t think it was possible for them to get even better but they managed. Dr. Caitlin McPherson and her team are patient and they genuinely listen and care. You’ll be hard pressed to find better people and dentists.

Fantastic experience: We had a great experience. My daughter Aleena loved the hygienist that cleaned her teeth. Dr. McPherson was also wonderful. We are very happy with our experience!

Whenever kids need to get a filling then after they can get two prizes! " -K, age 4 Pros: • has Pediatric sized nitrous masks (and even when those are too large they'll trim them down for your 4 yr old, halelujah!) • single tooth isolating numbing for those wiggly or nervous patients significantly diminishes pain and discomfort during and after procedures • the patience, adaptability and respect of the dentist (Dr. Mac) towards her very young patient was truly beautiful. • payment was easy and straightforward • being a cash patient was affordable. They offer flat family plans which covers two cleanings per yr. • Dr. Mac does infant tongue and lip-tie assessments and procedures • floor to ceiling 3-walled rooms keep noise down btwn rooms • friendly, informed and helpful staff all around • beautiful and comfortable asthetic Cons: • they are not in network with all insurances yet

Fantastic experience: This was the first time that I actually had a pleasant visit at the dentist! My hygienist, Megan , was so nice and gentle. She explained everything and really put me at ease. My anxiety about going to the dentist is much better now after my visit today. Thank you so much!!!

Positive experience: This was my first visit for a cleaning. Everyone from the front desk to the back area made me feel comfortable. Megan took time to show me a few real time pics of my teeth and gums and made feel like we had known each other for sometime .A very good experience

Fantastic experience: I have a well earned fear of Dentist. I had four issues going on today, from a root canal and crown and alignment problems to needing a cleaning and clenching. My doctor was able to address the most urgent matters and we made a plan for the everything else. I loved their communication, their gentle hands, and how concerned they were with my care and comfort.

Fantastic experience: Took my mother in law for a consultation today and now I am planning on switching to this practice ! The staff is amazing and Dr. McPherson was so compassionate and caring. My mother-in-law was very nervous and she explained everything and made her feel like she was in control.

Fantastic experience: I went into Peninsula Cosmetic & Family Dentistry to have a filling put in to replace a temporary from an earlier root canal. Dr. Caitlin McPherson did the filling and I cannot express how impressed I was with her attention to detail and passion for her work! It was a pleasure to meet Caitlin as well as the awesome staff who made the entire visit a wonderful experience. I highly recommend checking these folks out for your dental needs!

Fantastic experience: Excellent staff and excellent experience from entering until leaving. Dr. McPherson is terrific!! Her assistant Kate is very knowledgeable and caring. I felt like I had two dentist attending. Hygienist Hannah is the sweetest young lady and most gentle cleaning I’ve ever had!!!! She is so friendly and a joy to be around!!
