Fantastic experience: I went to see the team for an tooth extraction with infection. When I called the receptionist was soo nice and just listened to me about my fear of dentist. She made me feel confident to come in and get evaluation. After arriving the staff was fast and efficient getting my paperwork and check in. Bree(DA)took awesome care or me and kept assuring me that my fear was normal and everything will be ok. Dr. Gauss was my surgeon. Full of knowledge and care for his patients. The way he explained everything and in the most caring tone made all the difference. He told me I had to have more than one tooth pulled but gave me confidence that he would be able to take care of it all. I am a phobic of the needles and all so I chose the IV sedation. I swear it was like I went in sat down and 5 mins later I was walking out all done. I never even remember a thing. The anesthesia team was superb. They listened to my issue about the needle. She said," I got you just look away and I got you". I felt maybe a slight scratch for a second. Again another positive experience. From start to finish they will take awesome care or you. My Doc was available by his personal phone for any emergency or concerns. All of the surgeons are great. I accidentally called the wrong surgeon about some issue and even though he was not my actual surgeon he was happy to help and ensure I was going to have a great surgery and experience at the office. The entire team is great here. I am thankful that I found them. You get every bit of what they do... Great sevice, compassion, care and understanding of your fears. Negative experience: A Cone CT scan was taken without my knowledge that I would be charged $300+ as it was not covered by my insurance! I live on Social Security and should have been informed BEFORE hand! I feel that I was robbed. Their integrity is now questionable and I will not be returning.

Fantastic experience: When we first met Dr. Edward of Advanced Oral Surgery years ago he helped my wife anxiety through explaining the procedure and patiently answering any questions she had in the parking lot because she was so upset and anxious.I am very grateful for Dr. Edward’s and his team due that he hasn’t changed. He and his team are not only thorough, competent, but most of all caring. We drove over two hours for his care and we will gladly do it again. When my wife who is on hospice care was being turned down by other Oral surgeons in the area around Orlando. Dr. Edward’s office provided the care needed even with my wife complex medical history without make a statement about his license. The Advance Oral surgery is about care and they have proven to me and my family. Dr. Edward’s did not change through the years, for that I am truly grateful for.

Fantastic experience: Compassionate, professional, dedicated healthCARE. Dr. Jason Edwards and his team took a crying, barely able to speak patient and I left with not only zero pain, but a smile. He didn’t tell me what he couldn’t do, from the front desk to the procedure team I felt as if I had fallen into the hands of carers that put the patient first. As my family waited they witnessed this same level of care and compassion was the norm for Advanced Oral Surgery. Those in his waiting room could not say enough nice things themselves. These are the doctors we need more of. These are the care givers we imagine but so rarely see. As a hospice patient I have heard no so often. To hear yes is one thing, but to be treated so warmly and kindly. To have any question answered and to have them call to check on my healing process. This is a team committed to making each patient comfortable and I left pain free and able to eat regular food. But best of all, I left with a new found faith in the healthcare system, because they could have easily said no. The only no I received is NO PAIN. Fantastic experience: Previous rating has not changed. Dr Edwards is an excellent oral surgeon. He explained the procedure, why, and what outcome would be expected. Dr. Edwards answered all my questions, was very friendly, and had a great positive attitude He suggested a bone graft to help extend the life of a tooth. The process went smoothly and without pain. Bleeding was also minimal at home for the remainder of the day. I followed Dr. Edwards instructions on post-surgery care and that night I slept soundly and comfortably. I continue to follow the post-treatment care procedures and seem to be healing quickly with little discomfort. The staff is very helpful, friendly and courteous. I would recommend Advanced Oral Surgery for any dental work requiring an oral surgeon.

Fantastic experience: I have visited the Valrico location four times now and from being received and signed in at the front reception area, through the preparation of the procedure, tooth extraction, the tooth extraction itself, and then follow up, ALL personnel were very professional and had an answer to every question I asked. Very efficient, but polite. The thing I like most about this practice, next to my doctor, Tom Backeris is it’s diversity. Kelly, Corrie, Nesheba (sp?) were all on top of their game.What a difference this makes. I don’t know who is making the hiring decisions But they are making good choices, giving good training (you can tell) and hopefully good pay and recognition for work well done. Don’t hesitate to get your implant, extraction or any oral surgery done by this practice. They accept many insurance companies plans and contact them to ensure your get the most out of your plans’ benefits, including staged treatment plans if that works for you. One last thing, there are not too many service providers be a professional Or non-professional That offer you their cell number if you have a problem outside of hours however the doctors at Advanced Oral Surgery do. They put it in writing with the follow up instructions to your visit. I just wish all the businesses I deal with were this thorough and professional.

Fantastic experience: I contacted Advanced Oral Surgeons of Tampa because my general dentist felt that the tooth I needed extracted was a job for a oral surgeon due to the location of tooth. It was short notice and I wanted the tooth pulled today. Everyone in the office was so kind and helpful to try to make sure that I got the tooth pulled today because I was in such great pain. Dr. Edwards was awesome and a special 'Thank You' to Kimberly.

Fantastic experience: It was GREAT. I loved the atmosphere. The plan we have set up sounds perfect for me. I have had horrible experiences at other dentist & oral surgeons so im VERY happy right now. VERY affordable as well which is a bonus. Dr Backeris & his team are Fantastic. The atmosphere when you walk into their office is playing upbeat music playing with videos to watch off tictoc or youtube but you don't get to watch them for very long because they call you back pretty quickly. The best thing for me cuz I have a horrible phobia of oral surgeon and dentist so they do offer to put you to sleep and I also have a terrible phobia of needles and they have the Freezy spray, I believe it's a lidocaine spray, that they can spray on you to numb you before they even put the IV into you so you don't even feel it. They put the IV with no pain you go off to sleep and you wake up and everything is done it's fantastic like I said I will not go any other place Dr bacharias and his team is the only one for me.

Fantastic experience: As someone who has alot of anxiety over dentist stuff and surgeries, I couldn't recommend this office more! I had a impacted infected wisdom tooth and needed an emergency wisdom tooth + molar extraction and they got me within a week and were able to do it same day. I do not have insurance, their out of pocket pricing was fair. The office was very clean, beautiful, and quite comfortable. I was extremely anxious as I've never had anesthesia before and the whole team was extremely kind and patient from beginning to end. Dr Backeris was amazing, they even provided a post op phone number I could text anytime with questions during this healing process. Thank you Valrico team!

Fantastic experience: The whole experience has been wonderful. Dr. Pat Gauss was my doctor. I had 4 wisdom teeth extracted under sedation. I didn’t feel anything for the actual procedure. Recovery was better than expected. They were very communicative and receptive to reaching out with any concerns. Months later when I had a random concern unsure if even related to surgery, they brought me back same day took a look and resolved it without even charging me. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: I suffered from extreme nerve pain in my jaw for over a week after wisdom teeth removal. Probably the worst week of my life, I’d rather spend another week in the icu before I ever step foot into another dentist office. Pain is subjective but it’s okay because the case manager has had a shitty day too I guess. (?) I now have to pay an emergency bill because this office disregarded me and the pain I was having. Thank you for furthering my extreme dental anxiety, I appreciate it very much. Some staff here is phenomenal and very caring, others not so much.

Fantastic experience: My experience at Advanced oral surgery was great. The office is very nice and feels bright and inviting. You can tell that someone was intentional about the look and feel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I can honestly say that I have been quite skeptical of Dr’s lately. Many visits have felt rushed and the doctors seem to be just reading a script and checking boxes. Dr Gaus however was the opposite and I can say it renewed my outlook. He explained things thoroughly and actually listened to what I was saying. His demeanor made me feel comfortable right away as it’s been a very long time since I have been to a dentist and I have never been to an oral surgeon. The thought of a biopsy and how much pain I have been in had me very uneasy. Like I said Dr Gaus’s bedside manner and way of explaining made me feel comfortable and confident that I wasn’t being sold or pushed to do something just cause it’s profitable for the business. It was just all around a great and refreshing experience that I did not expect. I would def recommend anyone that needs an oral surgeon to Dr Gaus and Advanced Oral Surgery

Everyone including the surgeon made sure I understood the surgery and the post care. They even just called to check on me a few minutes ago. That is very sweet of them to do.

Fantastic experience: This is the best oral surgery office around. I have been to a TON of them and work for insurance. I have seen offices that are trash and I have seen them be good, but NEVER as great as Dr. Edwards and his whole team. I was originally referred to them by my general dentist for me and my daughter to get our wisdom teeth pulled. I decided to get my daughters done 1st. It was so easy to make the appointments and the office staff from scheduling to even her surgery day was awesome. They truly make you feel welcome and like family. She as well as myself have major anxiety. Dr. Edwards was not only able to do her surgery but also save some teeth that she was going to lose due to braces. Her surgery and recovery was smooth and her braces have come out perfect thanks to him. Since I trusted them with my baby it was only right that I let him do my surgery as well. I can honestly say I am through the moon with such happiness due to the surgery and recovery. Everything was smooth and easy. I came home and didn’t feel like death. Because of the staff and Dr. Edwards bedside manners I felt comfortable and relaxed from beginning to end. I will NEVER go to another oral surgeon again and have been raving about them to anyone who will listen. They are the best in the county in my opinion.

Fantastic experience: This was my first tooth extraction...my wisdom tooth. The Dr was confident and thorough in his explanation of what would happen. Although the wait time was longer than I expected, and I was a bit nervous because of the issue, they were helpful in reassuring me. I chose them because of their rating and I am glad I did. They even called later to make sure I was doing okay, and offered the cell number of the Dr just in case ..

And then on top of that when it comes to places that have fast appointments it's usually suspicious not this place I was at the Valrico office the staff who work here: from the front desk attendants to the surgical manager all the way from the surgeons was extremely professional answered every single question under the sun and I want to say thank you so much for taking care of my brother Davonte. It wasn't too pricy like I thought it would be with our insurance. You guys are changing lives at this office it broke my heart seeing him in so much pain but you guys made us both feel comfortable a big big Thank you and God bless you guys so much! ❤️

Fantastic experience: I was concerned about a recent spot in my mouth after surgery. They were able to get me in same day and assured me it was nothing of concern. Dr. Edwards is a great and so is the staff.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Thomas Backeris is a highly skilled oral surgeon. I felt very comfortable at Advanced Oral Surgery of Tampa, due to the excellent care I received. Every procedure was explained ahead of time. My anxiety level was alleviated by the procedures at this dental practice. I experienced pain-free and stress free care. They are all very friendly and extremely considerate. I highly recommend them as oral surgeons. I wouldn't go anywhere else now, because they are the best!
