Fantastic experience: I’m 56 years old and I have been going to Kirkwood dental since I was a kid. In all that time, I have never had a bad experience with the dentists, the assistants or the staff! Everyone is awesome! Friendly, kind, professional, upbeat, and very helpful!

Negative experience: Been going here for years, I recently retired. I don't have dental insurance. It's not a problem I always paid my bill, but I guess me not having insurance must hurt in some way. Because I released from the practice. Sure I'll get the generic response . But not an answer, to be honest I don't think I even care for one.

Fantastic experience: I love Kirkwood Dental office in SMYRNA! Karen at the front desk is extremely helpful and friendly. She'll go above and beyond to make sure you're satisfied. Tina did a great job with my dental cleaning, and Dr Clive was very welcoming and professional. I very rarely have to wait long in the waiting room, and it's usually easy to get convenient appointments.

He remembers you so much that he can pick up where he left off from your last conversation. Also, Tiny can clean your teeth with precision. I give kudos to her one hundred percent!! In addition, the front office staff is very engaging. Finally, the office is beautiful and extremely clean.

Fantastic experience: The dentist Dr. Esbitt is very good. I came in to adjust my dentures but they are still not functioning properly. It’s my understanding that I need implants on the bottom to fix the problem. I unfortunately am disabled and don’t have the funds to get implants. The office staff is wonderful.

Instead of getting annoyed or bothered, Leah asked another dental hygienist, Gina, to come and entertain my baby. She played and rocked him while I finished my cleaning. Positive experience: I returned after 10 years at Kirkwood Dental ant Glasgow location and it was absolutely worth it. My dental hygienist, Jennifer, was professional, thorough, and genuinely caring. Dr. Haan was excellent as well—friendly and attentive. When I choose a medical or dental practice, the most important thing I look for is quality care and a supportive atmosphere, and I definitely found that here.

Fantastic experience: For my treatment to get started I needed to see a Dentist to make sure i didn't have infections or anything in my mouth. First my Daughter called my family dentist and he was out of the country for 1 month in the was closed. And to add the receptionist that was answered the phone from her house was kind of rude. Maybe I'll be able to go into the office tomorrow. I needed to be seen before I can start my cancer treatment. She couldn't help me. So my Daughter Kirkwood Dental they where professional and understanding of my urgency. With that being said, I was ask can I do tomorrow, the next day and pick a time. I now have a new Dentist and the whole stuff was very nice. Highly recommended.

(They have a big cute dog, but she was separated from the patient area)

Negative experience: I recently contacted Kirkwood Dental, Glasgow office regarding a billing issue, as I received a statement showing a balance over 90 days past due — despite never receiving a bill due to an error in my address on file. When I spoke with Lauren at the front desk, I asked if she could correct my account standing since the delay was not my fault. While she confirmed that my address was updated, she repeatedly stated that fixing the account was "not her job" and refused to take ownership of the issue. What was most disappointing, however, was her attitude. Rather than helping resolve the matter or documenting the situation, Lauren was dismissive and unprofessional. The call ended abruptly when she rudely hung up on me. I expect better customer service, especially when addressing errors caused by the office itself. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and ensures staff handle patient concerns with more care and professionalism moving forward. TODAY 4/23/25 After a previous issue with this office, I decided to give Kirkwood Dental – Glasgow location one more chance during my cleaning appointment today. I was hoping for some acknowledgment or even a simple apology regarding how things were handled before. Instead, the same front desk person who had previously spoken to me so unprofessionally didn’t even greet me when I said “Good morning.” After my cleaning, I asked to speak with the manager to share my concerns, only to be told the manager wasn’t in. As I began to explain my experience, the same staff member admitted she was the one I spoke with before—yet again refused to take any responsibility and still insisted, “That’s not my job.” What was worse is that other staff members overheard the conversation and chose to stay silent or even seemed to back her behavior. No apology. No effort to make it right. Just more of the same dismissive, unprofessional attitude. This visit confirmed what I suspected: this office does not value patient experience, accountability, or basic respect. I will not be coming back, and I would not recommend this office to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Recently transferred to Kirkwood Dental and I’m so glad I did. Everyone was so friendly! I’m never excited to go to the dentist but they made it comfortable.

Negative experience: I was considering becoming a patient at Kirkwood Dental – Glasgow, but after what my husband experienced today, absolutely not. He gave them a second chance after a past issue, and instead of professionalism, he was ignored, disrespected, and dismissed again—by the same front desk staff. He greeted them politely, asked to speak to a manager, and calmly shared his concerns. Instead of listening, they argued, refused to take any responsibility, and unbelievably said they would call the police if he “kept talking.” That’s beyond unprofessional—it’s outrageous. I’m honestly shocked by how he was treated. There’s no way I’d trust this office with my care. If that’s how they handle patients, I want nothing to do with them.

I forgot to mention (on my earlier review, praising the entire staff) that I called one morning at 7:20 AM to leave a voicemail, requesting the soonest available appointment. I had fainted and broke my jaw. It was fixed (surgery elsewhere), but I was having issues and needed an X-ray. The receptionist called back at 7:30 AM, scheduled me for 8 AM and I was back in my car with a smile on my face by 8:20 AM! The entire team has been amazing and my family and friends have been patients for a little over 20 years! Superior service, clean office and bathrooms - I’ve never had a single complaint and will never move to another state because I can’t imagine seeing anyone else. #TrueStory ☀️
