Fantastic experience: Dr Cramer is so kind, gentle and caring. I trust her as she wants the best outcome for me and treats me like I was her mother! All of her associates were great also.

Fantastic experience: My dental cleaning at Cumming Dental was a very positive experience. The hygienist made sure the cleaning was pain free. She explained everything she was doing, which I really appreciated. I was able to relax & not grip the sides of the chair!

Negative experience: Me and my family have been coming here for quite some time now with no problems. I had an appointment and I was 1 minute within the grace period only to have the rude receptionist tell me they have to reschedule my appointment which was fine but I also have to pay a missed appointment fee although I showed up.

Fantastic experience: Had my routine cleaning today and worked with Jessica again. This is the second time she’s been my hygienist, and I really appreciate her approach. She’s thorough and explains what she’s doing without overdoing it. Just a solid, steady hand and very easy to work with. Good professional demeanor and knows her stuff. Dr. Short is the same way—thorough, straightforward, and I never feel like I’m being pushed toward unnecessary procedures. It’s kind of that “just right” middle ground that’s getting harder to find these days. I trust the care I’m getting here, and the whole experience has been consistently positive.

After over 15 years, the hygienists and dentists who have cared for us have all been highly skilled and personable. We've never had a problem with insurance or been surprised with our out-of-pocket amounts. It's run like a business should be.

Fantastic experience: I usually dread going in for routine cleanings due to my sensitive teeth, but this was a good experience. Christina is a great hygienist - very patient, kind, and gentle.

Negative experience: I would have given no stars if possible. Cumming dental have good dentist and hygienist, but be very careful if you have any work done that you are not positively sure your insurance will pay. I had a crown put in and was told it would cost approximately $350.00 after insurance paid. After the crown was put in I paid the amount I was quoted. 3 months later I get a bill for $980.30. I called and was told that they had mistakenly told me the amount insurance would cover. They explained that they needed prior approval for the crown to be put in and didn't realize until after my insurance denied the claim. I objected to the charge because I felt that the dental office was at fault. However, I was told that I had signed an agreement that I was responsible for whatever my insurance didn't cover and if I didn't pay, my account would go to collections and I was already 60 days past due. I had just received the first bill the day before. This office doesn't care if they make a mistake and it cost their patients more than they were quoted. So I paid and quit going to cumming dental. Again be careful with this dental office. ****Update, these people are not truthful. My insurance company called the practice about this. She was told by Cumming dental that there was not enough time to get pre authorization because my tooth was an emergency situation. None of that was true. The dentist found a crack in my tooth during a check-up and cleaning. Good grief****

Negative experience: So, just received a call from Cumming Dental Assocs. informing me they had a flood in their office & have to cancel my appointment for tomorrow. Office closed all week. Instead of “pushing” ALL appointments out a week they tell me they can’t see me now till Nov 13th. Understand “things” happen but, WTH? Totally unacceptable. I already had to wait a month for the appointment on 10/22! Time to find another dental office…

Positive experience: I have not gotten CLEANING on Oct.17.25 but don't worry about that matter because I understand the care you need to protect the healthy safety of the patient.

Fantastic experience: From the front desk and the registration to see my original dentist was so professional and with care.

Negative experience: I was looking forward to book a new patient appointment with this clinic since they are in network for Cigna. I called and spoke with a new patient coordinator. I have never had such experience before- she was very rude, short with me and unprofessional. She refused to tell me what her name was and to transfer me to a manager. I am just shocked. I was asking her about how this practice handles scheduling of existing patients for my information and she got very frustrated with me and suggested I look for another practice. I had the worst customer service experience of my life!

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough good things about how well they took care of me. Even in emergencies like my visit this morning, they kept their promise to follow up and they did. They handled my issue quickly and gave me real peace of mind, reassuring me that I’ll always be taken care of here. I wanted to express how grateful I am to Dr Brown, Donna and everyone that took care of me on Monday and today Wednesday. This practice embodies a high standard of customer service which is why I keep referring patients to this place.

I saw Dr. SWAIN very briefly to hear a good report. Sherri was accomodating with insurance matters. Wow! This is what a dental practice should be. EVERYONE I've dealt with has been eager to help. I reached out, looking for a new dentist and was also in need of repairing a recently broken tooth. It's Thursday and I've already had 3 visits this week. First was to evaluate the broken tooth and a new patient exam. The same day I was able to have my cleaning. My tooth repair/crown was scheduled for mid-February. However, I received an early morning call regarding a cancelation today at 9:00 am. I'm now at home with my temporary crown, feeling great relief. Big shout-outs to: Madison, Brittany, Dr. Swain, Sherri, Madison-2nd visit, Ashley, Sherri-2nd visit, Lexy, Dr. Swain-3rd visit & Sherri-3rd visit. It's a blessing to now have a dentist I feel I can trust.♡♡♡

Fantastic experience: I have been supporting Cumming Dental since 2006. I found them to be the best in the area and they continue to impress me with their professionalism, expertise and care. I have since moved to the Ellijay area and happily drive an hour + for my appointments. I have been going to Dr Swain since the beginning. Over the years she has replaced a couple of crowns, filled a few cavities, did a root canal and had the pleasure of installing a new tooth for me as I cracked a molar in half vertically eating Cracker Jacks. Yesterday she had to cut out a crown due to a cavity underneath it, we had been watching it for a couple of visits, and gave me a temporary. The whole procedure was easy. I had no pain with the procedure. Not even as I write this a day later. I can’t guarantee you the same results, no pain, but you’ll be hard pressed to find a more knowledgeable and caring place to go for your dental needs. My wife doesn't like going to the dentist but when she does, she goes to Cumming Dental. She sees Dr Esker and has the same level of professional care. Cumming Dental is a great place for your dental needs. Today I had the team of Lexi, Dr Swain and Sherri, Dr Swain’s scheduler/insurance queen/money collector on my way out. All are a pleasure to talk to and they make a great team. You should become a new patient at Cumming Dental where they respect your time and experience fantastic dental care. Conveniently located across the street from Costco in Cumming, Exit 15.

Negative experience: Large dental practice with two convenient locations. Both offices are outfitted with state-of-the-art technology. This is our second year going to them after our dentist retired. We were with him for almost 40 years. Unfortunately, we thought Cumming Dental would be our next long term Dental provider but after numerous calls with no call backs and the dentist assistant (who should have been fired) argued with me about the schedule procedure was wrong I walked out. Called them and told them this was unacceptable. They said it is my problem because she would remain his assistant. I don't know how that's possible because I had not met her before that day. The office said they would call back after talking to the dentist. It's been a month and not a peep. Find another Dental practice.

Fantastic experience: I went there for wisdom teeth removal earlier today. I was really shocked at my own reaction when faced with anesthesia for the first time- given I’m completely okay with needles and ivs. Despite me losing my cool, I couldn’t be more satisfied with the care I received while I was there. Everyone was so kind and understanding, there was this awesome lady that held my hand and helped me take some deep breaths right before I went under. The whole procedure went perfectly and I have minimal swelling. No one’s asked me to write this, it just genuinely went so well- a lot easier of a process than some of my friends who went elsewhere to get theirs done. It’s only day one and I’m already feeling a lot better despite what I would consider minimal pain for the situation. I couldn’t recommend cumming dentist bald ridge more, especially if you’re having any teeth extractions. If not only for their kind and professional attitudes, but also for their precise and tending operation.

Makes those cleanings much less stressful. The dentists there greet you like a friend and explain everything that they are doing or going to do! Front office is always pleasant and helpful. Fantastic experience: Dr Short has been my dentist for over 25 years, he’s a great dentist and a great guy. His assistant Emily has done my teeth cleaning as long as I can remember and she’s just terrific at her job and is really appreciated. I received a good and thorough exam and we decided on a plan to follow. ***************************************************************** On June 1 I went for my first cleaning. It was very good and thorough. Jessica, the dental hygienist, was knowledgeable, professional, and did a great job including some useful tips to follow. Dr. Brown was as always polite and welcoming and gave me a very thorough exam. My next visit July 1 for a crown. The entire office makes you feel welcomed and the environment is always upbeat . I really appreciate them going the extra mile. Update Had my permanent crown put in on August 19 and again Dr. Brown was excellent. His assistant Maggie also surpassed my expectations. Very pleased with both of them and Cumming Dental.

Negative experience: DO NOT GO HERE, I made an appointment a week ago for a week out and it was set for a 3:10pm appointment. I arrived early at about 2:50pm and the front desk says oh your appointment time was actually at 2pm today. I showed them the message where they sent me the confirmation for my appointment at 3:10pm today. They talked to the manager and they said oh well we let you know in the text that the appointment was at 2:00pm. I checked again and sure enough on the same day as my appointment at 12:00pm they decided to send me a generic reminder text and changed the time to 2pm!!!! Two hours before hand! They turned me down and said sorry they were all booked for the day. This is just one occasion of 3 that I have had a terrible experience with them.

I saw Dr. Upshaw who was very informative in explaining a procedure I need to have done. He and the assistant were both friendly , kind and thoughtful. Had a very great experience . The dental practice was very clean as well as welcoming. Today was my 3rd visit to Cumming Dental Associates, I unfortunately had to have an extraction ; I was very nervous about having to go through the procedure , my dental assistant Holly was so kind and caring and to me, regarding the procedure. She was very kind and compassionate, I was so grateful to have had her there.

Fantastic experience: I love Cumming Dental Associates and I think my dentist is the very best, Dr Teresa Esker. Been going to her for years. And, my Dental Hygienist, Karen is great. She gives you tips on how to brush better in some areas of your mouth if needed. She and Dr Esker are one heck of a team. They take good care of me, their patient I was there yesterday 04-23-25 and had my permanent crown put in. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my dental health care and Dr Esker is the best in her field. And, Taylor was so nice and did an awesome job of removing my temporary crown and replacing it with my permanent crown. Dr Esker was always checking to see how things were going and then to check when it was finished and gave the ok that it looked and felt right in my mouth and I was on my way out. Didn’t take that long either. I highly recommend Cumming Dental Associates. I was at Cumming Dental Associates today for my 6 month cleaning and check up. Again, I would not go to anyone else. I trust Dr Esker as the best dentist and Karen a wonderful hygienist. They make you feel comfortable and like a part of their family. My Dental Hygienist Hannah Hatcher does an excellent job and makes you feel comfortable. And the beautiful Sherri Neal, Dr. Swain’s patient assistant will great you with a welcoming smile and provide you with a full breakdown of services.

Fantastic experience: Although I expected to be placed into a room upon my on-time arrival for my early appt., my wait time was not excessive. I was seated & properly preped. The procedures were explained as performed. I experienced little discomfort & was released promptly. All staff was professional & friendly.

Last week, I was in for a crown placement and the dental assistant who took care of removing the temporary and then took on the detailed task of locating any areas that were too tight or too loose was LeAngel. After resetting the headrest so that it fit my head more naturally, she gently and carefully buffed off the areas of the crown several times so as to leave me with a crown that feels perfectly natural. I was eating last night, a full week later, and realized that the moment I left the office was the last moment I'd even thought about that crown because it fits so beautifully and naturally!
