Fantastic experience: This is the nicest dentist office I've ever seen. It's like Disneyland for dental services. The staff is so nice, professional and well organized. I know it's only for kids but my wife and I wish we could go here too!

Fantastic experience: Our almost 2 year old had a fall on the concrete and fractured her tooth to the point the nerve was exposed. We were referred to Sumner Pediatric dentistry the next day to get an evaluation and treatment plan. Dr. Crystal was the first to evaluate and provided suggested next steps. Not long after leaving the office we received a call from Dr. Andy who walked us through the options again and eased our concerns. Dr. Andy ended up removing the tooth at a hospital and was so kind and easy to talk to. He calmed our nerves and was confident in his craft. Prior to the tooth extraction, the office staff was incredibly helpful and kind even after the million phone calls we made asking questions and figuring out insurance. Kerri and Rachel were so helpful and never made us feel like a burden. We enjoyed our experience here so much that we will be switching dentists offices for our kids. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: My son is autistic (high functioning) and our last visit there the assistant/hygienist was AMAZING with him. He never gets X-rays and even tries to chew the equipment at times and gets a bit violent. The assistant/hygienist was so sweet, direct, and gentle that he let her keep the piece in his mouth and got a good set of focused X-rays. He even laid back in the chair for her, which he never does. I'll definitely be taking him here ❤️ 100% recommend.

Fantastic experience: The staff was friendly, patient and knowledgeable about the Childrens needs. The first visit for them to this office was a success! My children enjoy going to this office, they feel comfortable and safe with the staff who always take good care of them. I like getting the emails reminding me of visits and updates due to my busy schedule. Thank you for all you do for us!

Negative experience: UPSET: Initially, I liked this office. The staff were welcoming. HOWEVER, my child was due to have a tooth filled, but the night before her appointment she fell and knocked out one of her teeth. We were told to come in anyway for the appointment so Dr. Andy could assess her. When we got to the office, they had me sign the consents, (which are never given in hand, but rather you sign the pad stating you give consent for treatment). After Dr. Andy’s assessment, he concluded we should wait until the area where the tooth was knocked out heals due to the trauma. A few months later, we came back to complete the filling. I did not sign a consent to treat at this appointment. They took us to the back and treatment began. After Dr. Andy, removed the decayed part, he left the room and the dental assistant began to complete the filling. I couldn’t see initially, but stood up and asked her what she was putting in my daughter’s mouth, because we do not do amalgam fillings, and prefer the tooth colored composite filling. Mainly due to the mercury in the silver fillings, and my daughter has a significant history of allergies, which silver fillings can cause and/or potentiate. I have made it known in the past to the staff that my family does not do Fluoride or silver fillings. The dental assistant stopped and got Dr. Andy. I re-expressed my concerns to him, and he told me if he stopped and removed the 1/2 amalgam that was already placed, that it would cause more damage to the tooth, and that she would be exposed to more chemicals during the removal process and that it was safe to continue. When I expressed my concerns about the 50% of mercury in the dental amalgam, I was reassured that there was a small amount of Mercury in the amalgam, much less than it was 10-20 years ago, not 50% and it should be safe. They proceeded to continue and complete the process. I thought he is the dentist, so he should know. HOWEVER, it still did not sit well with me or my husband. This is not what we wanted our daughter to have and it was against our will and consent. My daughter did become ill a few days later, which made us even more skeptical. So we researched and contacted another dentist, who told us that yes, the amalgam silver fillings still have 50% mercury and that they did not recommend the silver fillings for children anymore, which is what we have heard from many dentist. Our right to choose care for our child was taken from us and makes me second-guess other treatment. There was never an apology or rectification.

Fantastic experience: Everyone was incredibly patient, kind, and gentle with my son! The office is clean, and exciting for kids. We absolutely would recommend Dr. Andy and his staff to anyone!

Fantastic experience: We just had our first visit at Sumner Pediatric dentistry… we are new to the area and have been looking for a new dentist and we found the most amazing one here! From the moment we walked into the office we felt welcomed and a tangible warmth. The ladies at the front Desk were patient, positive and so welcoming! The dental assistant who cleaned my daughters teeth was Kaitlyn and she was incredible! She has such a natural way with kids it made the whole process go smoothly and she kept a big smile on my daughters face the whole time! She explained things and made pleasant conversation and I was so impressed! Another assistant K.R. was there too and she was also so nice and helpful. We met Dr. Andy and he was wonderful. He made my daughter feel comfortable and truly made it an easy and fun experience for her. He had a realistic approach and gave us great advise and direction! We also had the added bonus of meeting his lovely wife and adorable dogs. The prizes at the end were the perfect cherry on top of this A+ experience! I highly recommend this dentist. The entire staff was warm, friendly and made us feel so well taken care of! What a relief to find such a gem! Thank you Sumner Pediatric!

Fantastic experience: As always Sumner Pediatric Dentistry surpasses my expectations. Today I had cleanings for all 3 of my boys. 1 school age child and 2 daycare aged. I took my oldest after school was over and my 2 younger children this morning. The dental assistants were so nice and helpful with getting the boys in the chair and talking them through everything. My youngest is 17 months the dental Assistant that had him was new and was very patient with him even though he was not too happy today. However, she continued her exam and remained calm and patient.

Fantastic experience: Finally found a pediatric dentist and staff that really cares about children! After an extremely bad experience with a different pediatric dentist office (mostly their dental assistants) I was skeptical. I called Sumner Pediatric Dentistry and Rachel spent as much time as I needed to explain my granddaughter's anxiety and concerns. When we arrived at the office, everyone was extremely nice and the atmosphere was upbeat. My granddaughter was still very nervous but the dental assistant, Jennifer, was so calm and patient, explaining everything she was going to do. Fantastic experience: I brought my son there for his first appointment (he's 3). The techs and doctor were wonderful with him, they were patient and kind and made his first experience very positive. Love the child centered atmosphere and look forward to going back for his next check up. I also like how they were professional, polite, and informative about what I can do to help his teeth stay healthy. It's 2025 now, several years later but we are still so happy to go to Sumner pediatric dentistry, my youngest is autistic and almost three and Dr. Andy and his team are amazing with my little guy and my almost 8 year old. We could not ask for more caring or competent dentist and are so happy to get take our boys to their offic!.

Fantastic experience: The front staff went above and beyond before my sons procedure to get us a detailed plan with our insurance company. The staff on the day of the procedure were just as awesome. They helped him with his anxiety, listened to us and made changes to ease his pain. They were positive with him all the way.

Fantastic experience: All 3 of my kiddos love Sumner Pediatric dentistry, they have been apart of my family since my oldest (5) had her first appointment. The atmosphere is incredible, my children are always occupied with the many things available in the waiting area while we wait to be called back. I am always greeted with a smile walking through the door until I exit the door, everyone is so friendly and treat us like family. It’s the simple things such as remembering things about our family and knowing just how to make it the best experience for our little ones. It’s never been an issue for everyone to be seen at the same time which is amazing with a busy schedule with 4 children. Last but not least Titan, we love Titan and everyone is always so excited to see him and he adds to that homey feeling this clinc already gives with just the amazing staff. Highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience: I love summer pediatric dentist!! Every one of the assistants there are always happy smiling kind and patient with my son. Dr Andy has saying every single one of my children since 2013. My youngest son is nonverbal on the autism spectrum. They have always been patient and gentle and silly with him, and I am thankful for this whole office!

Fantastic experience: My husband and I brought our 2 1/2 year old daughter to Sumner Ped Dentistry for her first ever cleaning, and the staff handled her SO well! She had a great time choosing from their flavors of tooth paste, watching movies as they brushed, and taking in the fun visuals of their decor. As we walked away she said, “Wow, I’m so proud of myself!” I’m very grateful for the gentle approach everyone took so that her first dental experience set a positive precedent.

My 10 year old daughter is not a fan of going to the dentist but they always make her feel so comfortable and confident! My son had his first visit today at just 13 months and they handled a toddler so well. They are helpful and knowledgeable with my questions and concerns. I would highly recommend to any parent! Fantastic experience: Collyns walked out of there already wanting to go back! This is huge since the last dentist scared her and made her so afraid! Dr. Andy also motivated her to brush her teeth more thoroughly! She has brushed at least 3 times today since our appointment! We have found our dentist home for sure! I am a little jealous and want to know if he will see big kids (adults) too!

Fantastic experience: Excellent service- kind and friendly staff My son Caleb has been treated in the past weeks and has 2 more appointments coming up and they have been absolutely phenomenal with him . He has a speech delay and gets anxious and they have handled him with so much care. Repeating things to Caleb in a calm manner to help him has been key! Thankful to Andy and his staff.

Fantastic experience: We have went to Dr Andy since my kids were babies. My oldest is fixing to be 17 yrs old. There is no one else I want to trust my kids teeth with. Dr Andy is one of the kindest Doctors I know. He came out of his way to let me know if I needed to leave and go back to work today that he would get my son back to my work for me. One of his girls at the front desk had told him that I had to be back at work quick to see a patient cause we are short staffed. I thanked him but told him that it would be ok. It's Great to know he really does care for his pts ❤️

And the way the nurses and dentist comfort her and make her feel safe is absolutely amazing! They never rush or push her to do something she’s not comfortable with.
