Positive experience: Unfortunately my appointment had to be rescheduled several times due to Staffing problems at the office. However I do like the staff there and hope they can get the hygienists that they need. I had hygienist Phee for the first time and enjoyed her very much. She was thorough and efficient. I had to wait a while before Dr Griffin could see me. He does have a concern for my total Dental Health and encouraged me to continue with my specialist who is taking care of my gums. Update 6 months later. Still short of hygienists but was able to reschedule okay when convenient for me. I like hygienist Jamie who was very thorough and fun to talk to. I didn't have to wait long at all to be seen and treated.

Fantastic experience: Exceptional experience at Fairview Dental Care. I was warmly greeted as soon as I walked in. The office was clean and professional. Kortney, my hygienist, was comforting, very thorough, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about her work and her patients. Dr. Griffin gave clear explanations and options that made the visit easy and reassuring. Without a doubt, the best dental experience I’ve had. Highly recommend

Positive experience: the last step floss was not processed completely, only several teeth were flossed, not all the teeth.

Negative experience: My claim wasn't submitted properly to insurance so it was denied. They sent me a bill, when I asked them about it, they said the insurance company wanted more information and not to worry about it. But, recently I got a bill from a collection agency with $277 in fees for a $1300+ collection amt. Won't go back with this to look forward to.

Fantastic experience: edit: updated rating from 3 to 5 stars. follow-up appointment went waaay more smoothly. the time of day my appointment took place made a huge difference. it was a lot quieter and made paying attention easier. hygienist explained and prepared me well. patient education was thorough and informative. --- the exam and xrays were thorough. staff was friendly and personable, bedside manner was outstanding. front desk checked with my insurance and costs were made known upfront. the way they greeted their clients as they walked through the door shows people like to come back. one thing i didn't like was not having my reasonable accommodation taken more seriously. the culture around accessibility in the office regarding invisible disabilities could improve. hoping my next appointment goes more smoothly.

Negative experience: Griffin Dental work is sub-par and the office is outdated. My daughter had a root canal done by Griffin, which Failed after 2 years. Griffin recommend a specialist (endodontist) to fix His work est. $3500. What he should have probably done was recommend the specialist in the first place. $$$ money was the reason he did Not.

Negative experience: My wife went there for crowns on her teeth. We were led to believe our insurance would cover over half of the bill. It barely covered anything. The dentist pretended to listen and told us that he wouldn't do things that we had concerns with,like cutting the gums back and making her teeth large and unnatural looking. Once he got her in the chair he did all of those things. She came away with a speech impediment and he told her to go to a speech therapist. We had to find another dentist to fix the mess that he created. They wouldn't give my wife the records for the new dentist,but the new dentist managed to get them. They have managed to fix the speech problem,but the gums cannot be reversed. They are all about the money not service. They should have a number lower than 1.

Fantastic experience: Amazing team. I have extensive work needed and recently had a root canal. When I had my xrays, they explained what I needed done, why, and gave me advice. On the day of my first procedure, Numbed me up good and i didn’t feel a thing! I am always a little scared of having procedures done like this but the hygienists are so nice and explain things so well and Dr. Griffin is very concise and to the point which I really appreciate, and during the work he would pause and ask how I was doing in case I needed anything to be adjusted or more numb. They do a great job. Not only that, but the front desk staff is very nice and considerate. Great team all around. I was always afraid to go to the dentist outside of my hometown, but going to this office took away my fear. I am very appreciative of this team.

Fantastic experience: I visited Fairview Dental Care in Columbia, MO for a routine cleaning on September 10th, and it was an excellent experience. The front-desk staff greeted me promptly and check-in was quick. I was seen right at my scheduled time, and the hygienist was thorough, gentle, and explained each step of the cleaning clearly. The office was very clean, modern, and comfortable, and the entire team made the visit smooth from start to finish. I left feeling well cared for and confident about returning for future appointments. Highly recommend Fairview Dental Care for anyone looking for quality dental care in Columbia.

Fantastic experience: I love Fairview Dental! I have a phobia about going to the dentist due to some past dental trauma as a young lady. I was open about it when I filled out my new patient paperwork and everyone was so accommodating. I was so scared I was crying and from check in all through the process to check out they all made sure I was ok.

The person I spoke with about my insurance was disrespectful, and raised her voice when I calmly explained I needed to cancel my next appointment because my insurance wasn’t covered. She was completely unprofessional and disappointing.

Fantastic experience: I was looking for a new dentist. They came to me as a referral. I called for an appointment, got in the next day and had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend them!

Negative experience: I seriously cannot believe the experience I just had here. I had previously left a three star review because of some rude comments and insurance issues that were not handled well. Then, during my next appointment, the dentist came in and chastised me for leaving a bad review and basically told me I couldn’t come back. I was in a vulnerable position and he made me so uncomfortable by treating me like a criminal or something for a POSITIVE review aside from those two issues. 3/5 was not bad, so enjoy a 1/5 instead, Dr. Before this, I was planning on changing my review to 5/5 because my hygienist was so great, but obviously not anymore. I wish that you had learned from my critiques about not saying insensitive things to disabled customers, but I guess not! The unprofessionalism from this place is unbelievable. Before my appointment , I had to call three separate times because my appointments kept “disappearing”. I would call and schedule and then call later and be told I never made an appointment. This includes when I made a follow up IN THE OFFICE. Jackie at the front desk is always incredibly rude and dismissive, especially over the phone. When my appointments kept disappearing, she was acting like I was the dumbest human on Earth and it had to be MY mistake when all I did was call and schedule an appointment (so it wasn’t possible that it was my fault). I assume this is because they saw my “bad” review and kept canceling without bothering to let me know, another example of their blantant unprofessionalism. My experience with both hygienists was great, but this last experience really sealed the deal that this place has serious issues. Thanks Dr. Griffith for this horrible experience! Please do better for other patients, especially those who listed mental illness on their forms so you don’t trigger them with your unprofessional confrontations. Sorry I touched a nerve!

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit. I thought I I had a cavity, but a thorough checkup showed it’s more likely sinus pain I’m feeling. Good to know! Then I was offered a cleaning if I had time, which I did. Courtney was careful, friendly and did a great job. All staff and Dr. Griffith were great!

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit to Fairview Dental and my first my experience was amazing. The entire staff was very professional and courteous. I have a phobia when it comes to going to the dentist due to a past horrific experience many years ago. However the staff and Dr Griffin patently listen to my concerns, and suggested several options on moving forward with my dental needs. For the first time visiting a dentist I felt included in the decision making, which I very much appreciate. Update Dr Griffin and his staff are amazing (GOAT)

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend! I’ve been to a handful of dentists over time, and this might be one of the most thorough dental offices. Everything from a thorough cleaning to giving me options for my dental needs. No pressure applied and gave me the detailed information i needed to make an informed decision for myself. I had called them a week prior to see if they were accepting new patients. They were but didn’t have any openings before my insurance was up. They had a cancellation and gave me a call the next day!

Negative experience: Really loved this dental office until I needed a letter written to show proof to discontinue at home aligners. Not only did it take MULTIPLE phone calls over 6 weeks to Jackie, but then Dr. Griffin flat out REFUSED to fill out the form that I needed from him, stating he didn’t want to get involved, after he is the one that recommended that I discontinue use of the aligners. Completely ridiculous.

Negative experience: I feel like this place is more interested in seeking out more lucrative treatments rather than genuinely caring for your smile. I would give them a single star, but I appreciate that they didn't try to prescribe any unnecessary treatments. I went there for my annual check-up. Since I hadn't visited the dentist since 2023, I was looking forward to a routine cleaning, as I have experienced at other dental offices. After enduring over an hour of scans and X-rays, I received a quote for a deep cleaning for a few of my back teeth. To my surprise, I was sent on my way without having my teeth cleaned. I was told by the hygienist it would be "malpractice" to give me a cleaning when I needed a deep clean.Malpractice? Mind you, the deep cleaning under the gums was only required on 3 or 4 of my back teeth. What about the rest of my teeth? I have never visited a dentist who didn't clean my teeth, even if I needed to schedule additional dental work. Should I go without a cleaning for another six-plus months until I need a deep cleaning for my entire mouth? You should have seen how quickly I was escorted out of there when they discovered my insurance wouldn't pay for any deep cleaning for another 12 months.

Fantastic experience: Great experience. All the staff are very friendly and they were constantly offering to get me in earlier than my scheduled appointment (I asked to be notified of any earlier openings). They did great work and were very informative. Im very satisfied with the services I received! Highly recommend!

Negative experience: Dr Griffin and his medical team are just amazing! He's always been truthful and attentive, I have a lot of respect for him! However, if you are doing Invisalign don't trust a word that the front desk people tell you. They are not honest with you about pricing. Talk to your insurance first before making any decisions. In my case I was told I would owe $2,000 and insurance would pay $3,000 and am finding out two years later I have to also pay the $3,000. Hard to have happy customers when they have to pay more than twice the estimate. This is a strain on my family's finances. Update: I made the phone call to see how the front desk might try to solve this issue and their only suggestion was to appeal. But it's not even an option because the dental office took a long time to provide all the information to the insurance company that that window is now closed. They had no response to that. I also found out that when they originally provided me with the estimate for the Invisalign they only called the insurance to confirm my coverage amount for Ortho, but they didn't inquire specifically about Invisalign and never did prior authorization for that. Needless to say, this whole thing is very unethical and I felt like I was tricked into doing Invisalign. Lesson for all of you out there, ask for prior authorization before making any decisions not to have any surprise bills! And also ask for the billing code and call your insurance to double check! Ours required the Invisalign to be medically necessary. I'd like to talk to Dr Griffin regarding this whole situation.

Negative experience: They waited until last minute to see if they use my insurance, of course they didn't. my appt is next week and I've had this appt booked for more than a month. thanks for leaving me scrambling for a dentist.

Called on Monday & got an appointment on Tuesday. I was scheduled on Wednesday for my procedure & all went well. Dr Griffin & the staff were caring & very professional. Negative experience: Told my insurance would "cover everything" first, made plans accordingly only to find out they wouldn't cover everything. Tried to talk to someone who kept telling me it wasn't a big deal simply because I had questions. Tried to make another appointment but was told the Dr. would call me back, no one has called me back, Called back & I keep getting the run around. Got an email saying I needed to make an appointment. When I tried AGAIN they would not make me an appointment, keep telling me someone will call me back and it hasn't happened yet. I'm already sick of it!Responding to Fairview, I have been waiting for a phone call back from your office since the 15th of November and NOTHING. Sorry I no longer trust your office!

Positive experience: I would give 5 stars because the Dentist, Dr Griffin, is a wonderfully delightful person to engage with. He is always polite and lets you know what he is doing before he does it.Three stars because my hygienist offers services and doesn’t disclose beforehand an out of pocket cost on the service she's offering. For example, fluoride during a routine cleaning. At time of payment I felt like I was in the nail shop.

The attention to detail when fitting me for my top dentures was like no other Dentists I have had. After my past experiences I went in doubtful, that soon changed! They know what they are doing! Fantastic experience: Fairview Dental Care in Columbia Mo. My Sister had a appointment to get her Dentures Liner in. I went to make a appointment for Myself They had a few minutes before there next Appointment so they took me back and fitted me for my new dentures right then and there. They explained everything as they went. My insurance didn't pay for all of it and they put me on a small payment plan . I haven't gotten my new Denture's yet .But my sister Loves hers and she's is very happy with hers. That really says something there if you know my sister. Love you sis!!!

I HATE the dentist typically and even during my most discomforting moments here, they didn't make it any worse and went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. Negative experience: It seems that they just wanted money instead of doing what I asked them to pull my teeth and get me Dentures and people wonder why I don’t trust dentist, they gave me 12 shots of Novocain for a teeth cleaning and it took 2 days for my mouth to be back to normal but it’s also affecting my health I’m tired and have no energy and I wasn’t like that before I saw the dentist.

Fantastic experience: My husband recently had a large amount of dental work from Fairview and the care was amazing. Will definitely be returning for all future care.

Fantastic experience: Just had my first visit at Fairview Dental, and it was great! Everyone in the office was friendly and kind. They listened to my concerns and explained all my options clearly. The whole visit was a positive experience from start to finish. I’m glad I chose Fairview Dental and highly recommend them.

Negative experience: I came in a few minutes early to fill out new patient paperwork and then continued to sit in the lobby an extra 15 minutes past my scheduled appointment time. Then after getting X-rays and a cleaning I had to wait an additional 45 minutes just to see the Dr. who proceeded to try and tell me I needed braces although my teeth looked great. The worst part of all was that they did a fluoride treatment without telling me that it was not covered by insurance!! 2 hours for a simple cleaning and X-rays is ridiculous! The only positive of the experience was the dental hygienist. Jamie was so kind and made me feel welcome so I feel I need to give her a shout-out. Unfortunately I'm not sure I will returning due to this first experience.
