Fantastic experience: I had an appointment today to have my teeth cleaned. It had been several years since I had them cleaned and I was nervous. Bonnie cleaned my teeth and said they looked good for not being seen for 2 years. Dr. Gardner came in and said they looked great! The staff is so nice and very attentive and accommodating. I would highly recommend this practice! They are truly a great practice!

Fantastic experience: I had an appointment on February 17, 2022, and my visit from beginning to end was pleasant and professional. As soon as you walk into the door the receptionist are friendly and professional, my Hygienist was professional and very thorough while cleaning my . The dentist came in afterwards and conferred with the Hygienist. With same said, I will be returning to have a minor dental procedure done so I can keep smiling and keep my teeth for years to come. They both also asked me questions to make sure I did not have any issues going on with my teeth and/or mouth that wasn’t visible or that can be detected by X-ray. This is a Top Notch Dental Facility/ Office. Do yourself a favor, especially if you aren’t and haven’t been satisfied with level of service you are and haven’t been getting from your current dentist. I highly recommend this office and I had been going to my past dentist for over 25 years until they pulled a switch a rue and sold the business / never told the patients and passed the patients off to the new owner. My wife and daughter have been going to Bright Smiles for a while and begged me to switch. Wished I would have listened to them sooner but I am more than glad that I am now a patient.

Fantastic experience: Great appointment time, zero wait, friendly Dentist and staff

Negative experience: I love my dentist and the care they provide, but the front desk staff are a constant problem. When I called about a charge of over $100, the receptionist was dismissive and very short with me. After calling my insurance company, I found out the office had never submitted a claim for my daughter’s visit. I’ve left voicemails and called repeatedly with no response. This is not the first negative experience with the front desk. The three women at the front act bitter and rude, and they are the face of the office. They are the first people you see when you walk in, and you expect at least a smile or some professionalism, but instead they are short and dismissive. One of them handles billing and is especially unpleasant. She never says hello or good afternoon, just takes the paperwork, tells you whether you have to pay, and moves on with no courtesy or customer service. The dental care itself is excellent, but the front desk makes the whole experience stressful. The office needs to either replace their staff or provide proper training to teach them basic customer service. Update: it is Thursday 9/18 and since I made the first call to the office, they haven't responded. This is unacceptable.

Fantastic experience: I am a new patient and still happy with the change to this practice. This was my second check-up Jackie is my hygienist and she is very friendly and professional. She is effective with her cleaning and evaluation processes. Dr. Gardner successfully took care of a sensitivity issue I was having with my crown.

Negative experience: I have paid by cash for my child's service April 2025 since there was a problem with insurance. I've gotten the confusion with insurance taken care of and I asked for a refund and was told I'd receive my refund within 6-8 weeks. Today is Sept 17th 2025 and I have yet to receive my refund. I've called and they stated it's another 6-8 weeks for my refund to be received. I've been getting the runaround and received the same excuses even though July 2025 they stated it was being sent out. My child is seeing a different dental office due to how this situation was handled.

Negative experience: I DO NOT RECOMMEND. We had poor experiences on 2 occasions. One was when they made physical changes to my 12 year old sons front tooth without a parents approval... even though my husband was in the waiting room. The other was when I made appointments for my children around the same time. Two of my children were called back late one by one. As I sat with the last one waiting to be called back, I am watching other people come in and get called back. As I am sitting in the waiting room, the ladies at the front desk seemed very unconcerned with the fact I had been waiting over 20-30 minutes with no explanation of lateness even though we are literally making eye contact at times. Very uncomfortable. I asked my son how he felt and he felt very self conscious about that tooth afterwards in addition to him saying "they were a bit tuggy". When I shared the experience with someone else, they told me they had also stopped going there due to unprofessionalism of showing videos during procedures. We now go to Smile Garden and THEY ARE AMAZING!!!! I cant wait to take my other children there.

Negative experience: Double check your bill. I found they were billing my insurance and after my insurance paid the full amount, Bright Smiles was billing me more for the same date of service. When I brought it up to the billing folks, they said they were writing off the balance and I didn't have to pay it.

Negative experience: I picked this place because of the great reviews. My first visit in January 2025 was so-so. I got a cleaning and when Dr. Gardner came in he seemed to have a sour attitude. I asked about discomfort where I have a root canal and all he said was “you shouldn’t feel discomfort after all this time.” (he did not do the root canal) I shrugged off the visit. I just went for my second visit, a cleaning. Angie, the hygienist was nice and conversational. Dr. Gardner was not in a bad mood last time, turns out that is just him. He’s not friendly at all. Angie said that the back of my crown was rough and needed smoothing out. He just willy-nilly starts grinding away at my tooth without checking my bite pattern. Now the back of my front teeth feel extremely gritty and my bite is completely off. I told him this and he just said I need to get used to it. It’s like he couldn’t wait to get out of the room to move on to his next patient. I am thoroughly disappointed and quite frankly worried about my bite now. Angie started out nice, then told me I was obsessing over it. Really disgusted with this place.

Example: I was with my son at his appointment when finish with my son I was complaining about an issue I was having. Dr. Gardner fit me in after but before he did. Fantastic experience: Dr. Reed is amazing. So is his assistant. He is the only dentist I’ve ever had where he genuinely helped put my anxiety at ease. Not to mention he did just fix my smile so I don’t feel like I need to hide my teeth when I speak or smile. He is a great a person & an even better doctor.

Positive experience: I loved this office when it first opened but over the last 12 months, I can’t seem to get a call back to schedule cleanings for myself or my family. I leave voicemails and they are never returned (calling during business hours, not after hours). I have even left voicemails for them to just schedule something and we will make it work, but no call back. Time to move on as my last attempt was made 2 weeks ago without a return call.

Fantastic experience: A little background information to start........I have two children with autism who have had bad dental experiences in the past and experience severe anxiety because of it. Before the appointment I made all staff aware of the situation. EVERYONE in the office was amazing!!!! My son made it through his cleaning, came back to get dental work and didn't even need to be sedated, something he has always had to do for any dental work, even a simple filling. Dr. Reed is the most gentle and understanding dentist we have ever been to. He is truly an amazing soul with LOTS of patience!! I would highly recommend this office to anyone!! Hands down the best!! Thank you for being an amazing human and helping my son overcome his fears! You rock!!

Fantastic experience: I was hard very bad pain from another Dental place. My mom referred me to Bright Smiles. I got checked out came back the next morning and My visited was done and over in 2 to 3hrs. But let me tell you how the Vibe in this place was so Excellent The Doc and his assitant was GREAT!! Even tho I was nervous they were GREAT... Went home over the weekend with very lil pain that night but have been GREAT since. Negative experience: I recently moved to the area and wanted to find a highly rated dentist. This office had glowing reviews so I made an appointment. The dentist was very kind, however, I was told I needed a crown and eight fillings after my previous dentist said I had no cavities for years. The dentist showed me the cavities on xrays and a tv screen so how could I argue. I paid a huge amount for the work to be done and was in pain for months following my crown. I returned to the office multiple times and they were unable to find anything wrong. I was forced to take pain medication around the clock for months until it improved, however, it did not go away completely. I moved to another dentist and was told I needed a root canal on the crowned tooth and one of the fillings needed to be redone (8 months after this work was done previously). I have had to pay for these procedures with no help from insurance because they will not pay for services twice. I have contacted this office multiple times regarding a filling needing to be replaced in such a short amount of time and to retrieve all my records. I want my new dentist to make sure all the work I had was done correctly. I would get a second opinion if this office recommends any dental work. I have lost thousands of dollars on dental work that I'm assuming was not necessary. If they do you wrong, they will not return your messages but will hound you instead for the last fifty dollars you owe on a bill.

Fantastic experience: My son cracked his tooth at night, we went first thing the next morning hoping they could squeeze him in. They got us within 15 minutes and took great care to make sure my son was comfortable. They pulled the tooth and my son was back to school that morning. Dr. Reed did an amazing job.

Negative experience: I will never go back to this office. Unprofessional behavior by dentist and hygeinists, talking about personal business and ignoring me, the client, trapped in their hellish dental plastic chairs. This would be tolerable if they did quality work. I had to pay out of pocket for a procedure which was not needed. Either they are greedy or incompetent or both. I do not recommend.

I enjoyed meeting Dr Reed and I'm happy to have found them. I was with my previous dentist for 30 years, but they no longer excepted my insurance. I hope to be a patient of Bright Smiles just as long.

Fantastic experience: 2/2020 Dacie the hygienist is great and of course I think very highly of Dr. Gardner. They are wonderful and caring. I highly recommend the Bright Smiles folks. 2/2024 Received a new crown. Dr. Gardner and his assistant are terrific. They were very professional and took great care of me. They also use very up to date technology and the new crown is great. Everyone there was very kind and professional. I really enjoyed the experience and highly recommend them. 7/22/2024 Needed work on an implant that had come loose. Dr. Reed and his assistant did a super job fixing me up. Dr. Reed has a great chairside manner, is efficient, honest about what needs to be done, and explained things all the way through. What a great dentist! You won't be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: My two cents-- I have been going here a couple years and think that the doctors and staff here are first-rate. I moved from the immediate area, but still return for services. :)-- Update 2024- moved back to Mosley. I am still going here. Pretty much everyone I've seen from staff to the doctors are pretty top-notch. Glad I don't have to drive as far :-)

My hygienist, Mija, is super patient, professional, kind, and gentle in helping me cleaned out the stains on my teeth. Dr. Read was very professional too. He explained in details as he pointed out to me what was shown on the X-ray of my teeth.

Fantastic experience: On 6/27, I had a new patient visit for a routine cleaning at Bright Smiles Dental. I had a most pleasant visit. My hygienist, Melissa, was kind, gentle, and professional. Fantastic experience: I was in and out today in SIXTEEN MINUTES. I couldn't believe it! I was back in my car only 9 minutes after my scheduled appointment time for my (top) wisdom tooth removal. The staff here is absolutely incredible: gentle, kind, respectful, non-shamey, and they treat you like a real human. They are the only people who have gotten me to change my dental care routine (or lack thereof) by being so non judgmental. They even showed me how to floss at my first cleaning. If you have dentist trauma, come here. Seriously. You will not be sorry.

U can have a neck pillow and other cool amenities, TV shows... I'm a stay home mom of 6 and I wasn't able to get my next procedure on my rotten mouth from neglecting myself so long and I didn't even know it. I went 3 yrs with no dental appointments and boy am i ashamed. Nevertheless, funds can't afford the 3k but I'll always have Bright Smiles as a fave in my book. The only quam is that my bridge is still a little off my gum line and food gets in there and it's stinky. When I get funds I will get it rectified. I had seaweed salad and boy it was hard to get out . My son, 14, has braces and got a deep cleaning couple days ago, sadly, after 2yrs of no dental health appointments. Yet, Bright Smiles gave my son a bright smile and confidence. 5 star Dentistry. #momlife

Negative experience: Have been going here for a couple of years now and things have been great. Regular cleanings and such go smoothly. Recently was told that there was something on an xray and was told I needed a root canal and crown. The dentist was very convincing with the video and screens so even though I was in no discomfort I agreed to the procedure. Now insurance will not cover it, insurance says there is no proof of medical necessity and the dentist should have sent me to a specialist. Now I am on the hook for more than a couple of thousand. I have completely lost trust in the dentist here. If you need more than routine work, get a pre-authorization and maybe a second opinion.

Fantastic experience: Went in for a cleaning today staff and Dr. Gardner are great. Very professional and they put you at ease. Appointment was for 10AM they took me back right on time. If you are looking for a good dentist this is the place for you.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Gardner and his staff are the best. I moved 2 hours away a few years back and I still go to Bright Smiles because they are soooo good that it is worth the 4 hour round trip. They have all the latest technology and make an amazing effort to make sure your experience is as comfortable and pain free as possible. Needless to say I highly recommend!
