Last year I had a tooth removed for the very 1st time Dr. Patel was very gentle and made my Experience less Painful, I was extremely scared but he assured me everything was gonna be ok and it was I was so happy. I had no problem afterward.

Negative experience: Not a good Dentist he didn't do the complete dental exam and I'm unable to get my X-rays transferred to my new dentist;office. I will never return and I will never recommend anyone to go to this dental office! The one star is only for the polite office staff!

Fantastic experience: Great Expressions in Southfield has been amazing both times I’ve gone. The staff is always welcoming and kind. Dr. A and her assistant did my fillings, and they were extremely gentle, professional, and made me feel comfortable the whole time. I truly appreciate how respectful and patient they were with me. If you’re looking for a great dental office, I highly recommend this location at the corner of Lahser and 9 Mile. They do a great job with both children and adults.

Negative experience: Major HIPPA VIOLATIONS.. as they discuss your care openly… waited 45mins after my scheduled appointment to be called then an additional 45min for cleaning… They cancelled my appointment because they didn’t get verbal confirmation… never had that happen anyway where else… I asked me several times to sign a treatment plan with services I never had nor didn’t intend on having.. which brought the price up.. of course I refused to sign for services I never had… overall it’s very unprofessional and i wouldn’t recommend… also the hygienist was way too aggressive… but the dentist was nice

Fantastic experience: I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Dr. Shamo, his assistant and the entire staff at the office. They were kind and SO patient! Dr. Shamo is truly gifted when it comes to the little ones. He makes them so comfortable and puts them at ease. Your child will be in great hands! I highly recommend!!

Negative experience: not impressed. waited over an hour for a 20 minute procedure. they obviously overbook themselves. came back for a cleaning and their system wasn't working so i was made to leave. they never called me back to reschedule despite giving them my name and number for when their system was back online. i also was recommended a prescription but the doctor forgot to give it to me. i called back to follow up and get it and the receptionist/dentist never got back to me. poor service.

Negative experience: I come to this place every 6 months and have had dental X-Rays every 12 months which have been within normal. I declined getting an X-Ray on my last visit because of pregnancy and they refused to do cleaning without new X-Rays even though the guidelines allow more than 12 months between X-Rays for low risk patients.

Fantastic experience: The pediatric side of the office is amazing. We drive an hour to see the dentist there. They are very patient with the kids and treat them good.

Negative experience: I’ve been coming to the dentist for four years ever since they switched their name. They switched their office team. It is a horrible place. They never know who you are when you come in their system is not working. It’s always something the office ladies has a very bad attitude. They went completely downhill ever since they switched their name. I’m very upset and now I have to get a new dentist me and my kids used to love going here. But it is just not the same it is very unprofessional It’s really too bad cause they have good dentist but their office staff sucks

Negative experience: Very disappointed I called before closing and was told to call another number and that number told me to call them back then when I finally talk to someone she only schedule 1 child instead of two like I asked and transfered back to the other department which didn't answer. Very time wasting and consuming and unprofessional by the way I was on the phone altogether for about 30min waiting on hold

Fantastic experience: From the assist that brought me to the back to get me ready for my appt was professional, polite, well spoken, courteous, informal and had an awesome attitude!! The hygienist was also awesome, professional, informal, polite, concerned about possible issues that could arise later down the road & keep me comfortable as well as the dentist. The interaction I had with all three of them was impressive!!

Negative experience: This office attempted to play with my insurance by using the wrong codes and my money for what the insurance wouldn’t cover. I was asking questions and the answers weren’t adding up. Nor did I get a straight answer. I cancelled the upcoming appointment. Just think of the patients who don’t pay attention to the billing or ask questions.

Fantastic experience: Great care … great work … great experience…my daughter had a few things done and I can say very good with kids!!! Caring dentist … and team overall I do recommend… especially for kiddos ❤️‍

Negative experience: I left with a traumatic expression I’m still traumatized never in my life have I ever experienced something like this. This has been my dentist of three years but I will no longer be coming back even after they had another dr fix the issue and gently remove my tooth out my mouth. I’m just shaken. The dentist told me to raise my left had when I feel sharp pain. I did just that and he ignored me and tried to make me suffer it was so unbearable I slapped to tool out his hand I had to leave and almost go to emergency. They really affect my well being. My mouth is currently in severe pain and I believe it’s from how forceful that Dr was in mouth. It’s was so painful I constantly can revisiting that experience. I’m am not happy all. But again glad that other doc was gentle and did his job correctly. I did not deserve that pain.

Negative experience: Went in with wisdom tooth pain which is extreme pain got an imaging done doctor came in and told me he couldn’t remove my wisdom tooth unless I had $180? So instead of removing my teeth he sent me home with an antibiotic and a prescription for ibuprofen And yes I have insurance so here I am 5 days later still in pain worst dentist office ever highly dissatisfied

Negative experience: Our family of five chose this dental office based on its high star ratings and glowing reviews. To start on a positive note—the front office staff is exceptional. They’re fast, friendly, and professional, which made our initial visits feel promising.Unfortunately, my personal experience with the dental procedures told a very different story. I came in with no known dental issues and was surprised to learn I supposedly had six or seven cavities. I trusted the diagnosis and, without seeking a second opinion, proceeded to have all the recommended work done in one appointment. During the procedure, I encountered a concerning moment: while working on the left side of my mouth, the staff instructed me to bite down. I did so, but was told to bite harder, only to be stopped abruptly after biting into my own cheek. When they moved to the right side, they used a protective barrier, which I appreciated, though I wish that precaution had been taken earlier.Once the numbing agent wore off, I experienced significant pain. Less than a year later, I noticed a hole where one of the fillings had been placed. I called specifically to schedule an appointment to have it repaired, but when i arrived I was told my appointment was scheduled for a cleaning only. Then I was informed that my insurance wouldn’t cover the repair for two years following the original procedure. After contacting my insurer, I was advised to ask the dental office if they’d consider repairing the filling at no charge, as some practices will stand by their work. Unfortunately, I was told the issue hadn't been brought up in time—even though I contacted them around six months after the procedure. Now, not even two years later, five of the original fillings have failed and require re-treatment. Summary: While the office staff shines, my experience with the dental procedures and follow-up care has been disappointing and costly. I hope others consider a second opinion before proceeding.

Fantastic experience: Amazing Dental is simply amazing. This was our first visit and they explained every step, reviewed options in treatment and delivery of care was exceptional. They understood the delicacy of my situation and made adjustments as needed. I highly recommend this office if you appreciate family-orientated care while maintaining C19 restrictions. Positive and warm energy.

Fantastic experience: I had a GREAT experience at the dentist today! The Whole team from the front desk to the doctor back to the back desk was exceptional. And I was super impressed with Blair, the young black man that cleaned my teeth! My heart is always full seeing my young black men walking in who God created them to be!

Negative experience: I went there when it was Amazing Dental in 2022-23. All the work they did less than two years ago has to be redone now. I went in 3 weeks after they put my front crowns on (saw a different dentist, male than who put them on, A woman) to tell them they were moving & was told they were fine & otherwise would need be removed & replaced compromising the integrity and asvised against it. I have now seen another dentist that says there is decay coming through because they have come off in the back. He will try to reseal them (An option I wasn't given at Amazing Dental) but would otherwise need to replace them. He told me that he thinks they told me this just so they didn't have to eat the cost. I was on Medicaid at the time. So now, I will have to eat the cost of their bad work, as I will be responsible for paying for what my medicare advantage plan doesn't. I wouldn't advise going here. They really aren't empathetic and run purely as a business.

Negative experience: This was my dental provider prior to the location being acquired by Dental Expressions. I went back for my cleaning and it was a very unpleasant experience. The dental cleaning was very rushed and the dental hygienist was very abrupt and just unfriendly in my opinion. I asked her if I could wipe the bottom of my chin because there was a lot of water dripping down. And she says to me “Are you soaked” i told her I was uncomfortable. It doesn’t matter how soaked I am, can I just wipe my chin. Also I did not like holding the sunction device myself. I will not be returning to this office and I do not recommend this office for dental services.

Negative experience: I had gotten free flouride done at first but then I was charged a second time I didn't pay because I didn't have to the first time the lady who cleaned my teeth also didn't calle by my name and she was a little rude when I told hery first visit I didn't have to pay the first time was th best time and if i could remember the lady who cleanedy teeth the first time I would but the second time it was okay I believe they were mad cause I didn't come when I need to also the Dr that said there was nothing wrong with my teeth lied I have three fillings won't be going back there

Fantastic experience: Love them down amazing ! I was TERRIFIED for getting my first canal and dentist offices give me anxiety anyways but I didn’t feel a thing ! They let me put on my own music and got to work , and even sang to me lol ! I felt really comfortable , and dr Sara was very informative and explained everything she was doing 10/10 !

Fantastic experience: This place is absolutely amazing!!! The staff are kind in so loving!! I went in today to get two fillings, the assistant was so comforting he was very kind and sweet, my doctor he was just amazing!! In fast I was so impressed!!! by the time I got to my car, to look at my teeth I couldn't believe I have a whole different look to my teeth!!! It don't even look like I had a feeling it look like I have a whole new tooth!!!! I love love love you thank you!!! So much this is amazing place! It felt so comfortable, and welcoming!! Negative experience: After my cleaning, I informed Dr. Aamil Patel that I had been feeling something on my tooth since getting my replacement over a year ago. I wasn't sure whether my tooth was ceramic or porcelain, so I asked if he could buff it out to smooth the surface. Dr. Patel used a tool on my tooth, but instead of simply buffing it, he removed all of the shine, leaving the surface rough and dull. To address this, he applied a bonding agent and used a blue light to cure it. However, the bonding agent has since come off twice, leaving my tooth rough, rigid, and without its original smooth finish. A professional should know better than to grind down the surface of a tooth unnecessarily. I would never recommend or return to this office. My tooth was in better condition before this visit, and now I will likely have to pay for a replacement. Fortunately, since it is a false tooth, I do have the option to replace it, but this should not have been necessary. Frankly, I feel this was done intentionally. As a dentist, Dr. Patel knew that the tool he used would grind down the surface of my tooth, yet he proceeded anyway.

Fantastic experience: Great people with patience that make you feel at home and even when having a procedure it will be the best part of your day! I wished I knew the young ladies names that helped me but all the staff is awesome! Thank you!

Negative experience: This is the most unprofessional incompetent dental office I have ever dealt with. I am still dealing with a billing issue from over 1 year ago. I am constantly told this will be taken care of by two different supervisors just to get me off the phone. They switched over from Amazing Dental to Great expressions and have not submitted my services to insurance. Every month I receive a bill and now I am receiving calls from their collection department. I am now calling to see why when I’m constantly told this is taken care of and they are dodging my calls. Supervisors are always in meetings and never call me back when I call. This is very frustrating and the people who answers the phone thinks this is a joke. To save yourself the headache, please go somewhere else.

Negative experience: Does anyone know where Dr Saleem is practicing now this place has gone down since he left, and I had to get with one of the female doctors' assistants when I got there, he was rude, and I had to let him know to stay in his place I was talking to the doctor not him. Negative experience: When I received the call to reschedule, I would have wanted to have been informed that the rescheduled appointment was for a teeth cleaning. So when I came in , not much was accomplished because I was not prepared to be serviced.

Negative experience: Made an appointment, arrived, got checked-in, got my ID verified, sat in the waiting room for an hour past my appointment time, went and asked how much longer will i need to wait and got told my appointment was canceled because I didn’t answer their call the day before. NOW WHY couldn’t no one inform me of that when I checked in I sat there in the waiting room for an hour for NO REASON. Use to love this place because they use to express care for their customers, but now I don’t. What a horrible experience and a waste of my valuable time.

Negative experience: Yesterday was not a pleasant visit at your office, I was very disappointed because every visit that I have had was great and I even shared that with family and friends. While I can understand that sometimes things happen beyond your control, but what up set me was the fact that I live in Sterling Heights and had to take an uber so I would not miss my appointment, now what would have solved this issue is if the office knew that the tech was going to unavailable and an replacement was going to be called in . Someone from your office could have. Allen me and informed me of the situation and given me an option, like we are short staffed so you may have a longer wait but we will take care of you Or would you rather reschedule for another day that is all that was needed to be done. Fantastic experience: Dr. Patel was truly amazing, we talked everything over he answered my questions and was so fast when it came to pulling my wisdom’s out. I felt no pain, we laughed and went about our day! The assistant was great as well though I didn’t catch her name. I love it here and look forward to the next appointment!

Positive experience: I thought the hygienist was very good and she was very nice. But I didn't appreciate being told they were running on time when I specifically asked if they were. my cleaning wasn't even started until an hr after my scheduled appointment time. I would just appreciate honestly and updates if they are running behind.

Negative experience: Now they are under new management. I was hesitant about continuing treatment with them. The dentist visit went horribly. They cleaned only half of my teeth. The drill was used on my gums rather than my teeth. She hardly flossed and neglected my teeth while watching Meet the Browns by Tyler Perry. If she asked if I wanted to watch tv just for her to watch it instead I would've said no. They were too focused on the chipped tooth and the hole in another tooth. Despite my request to avoid tapping on it due to the pain, the doctor continued. Recent visits have been disappointing and wasteful. I dislike this place now. Such a disservice. Saying I couldn’t return was suppose to hurt my feelings when I wasn’t planning on coming back anyways.

Negative experience: This dentist office individually deserves no stars. They lie and present false x-rays, procedures, and unnecessary exams. I will never, ever recommend this dentist office to anyone. They have a lack of communication with speaking with other specialists. This is the second time I had to rate a dental office with 0 stars. They are money hungry.

Negative experience: Made me wait over an hour without acknowledging me. Had a 12pm app. Showed up at 1150. Walked out at 1pm. Take your business elsewhere they have no customer service or decency here.

Fantastic experience: I love this dentist office. This location is further away from my home, and there are some offices much closer to my home. At my first visit they made me feel at home. All the assistants and front office staff were very kind and helpful with any questions or concerns I may have had about my future impending visits to follow. So I would refer and recommend this office all the time..

Fantastic experience: I agree with a previous review....this place is AMAZING! I called and was able to get a new patient appointment the next day! Wait time to be assisted was about 5 minutes! The staff is wonderful...kudos to the reception staff (so friendly and personable) especially Victoria.....she went over everything including pricing before checkout. Tineshia(?), Tamia (?) (sorry if I didn't get your correct names) and Dr. Kachi was great, explained in detail and answered my questions in detail. I haven't been to the Dentist in forever and was very afraid about the treatment I was going to receive. They calmed my nerves and I found out my teeth were not as bad as I thought they would be be. If you're looking for a new Dentist, this is the place!

Positive experience: It was noticeably dirty in the hygienist area on the floors. And extremely cold throughout the facility. As usual the staff was pleasant and professional but the building not so much.

Fantastic experience: I only had one issue since I been going here. They forgot to book my appointment so I had to reschedule. But they got me in the very next day. I was due for a root canal and Dr Kesto was amazing. He did good work took his time. He made sure I knew every thing that was going on. The staff is always very friendly with me and my children. My kids have had dental work here too. They love the pediatric doc Basam. My kids are no longer afraid of the dentist thanks to this place. I am truly grateful for the services they provided me and my family. I would highly recommend them. Don’t let the bad reviews steer you away they are good ppl.

Negative experience: Was treated horrible. I was told that they needed a medical release form so I could get my teeth pulled. I am also in pain and they knew that,but refused to take my teeth out. They had the medical release form,but still refused to pull out my teeth. I am hard of hearing and I told them that, but they yelled at me and treated me horrible. I don’t need an oral surgeon to pull my teeth. They are easy to remove. I would NOT recommend this place!!!! Go somewhere else. You are waaaay better off!!!

Negative experience: So I called to cancel an appt. I was told the internet was down and call back in 30 minutes. Didn't understand why it couldn't be written down and canceled when the system came back up but whatever. I wait an hour and a half to call back and get put on hold 8 1/2 minutes to literally spend 15 seconds saying cancel my appt. That's absolutely ridiculous. There are usually several people up front working the desk. I'm sure they each have different responsibilities but surely they can all help answer the phones for the sake of professionalism.

Negative experience: This USED to be a wonderful practice UNTIL Great Expressions took over. Now even some of the staff is taking on the mentality of GE. I just had a call to the office and had to ask many times for the name of the person I was speaking with - finally said her name was FRAN. She was extremely dismissive to the reason why I was calling and was actually laughing at me and speaking over me so I could barely get my info across!!! WOW! I HAD been with Amazing Dental for 2+ years with no issues. I went to them after a prior issue with Great Expressions. Then unfortunately for me they bought out Amazing Dental. So now I have to find a new dentist as I will NEVER return to another Great Expressions again!!! They are the WORST!!!

Fantastic experience: This was the best experience I have ever had at a Dental clinic. The office is very clean. The customer service from All the staff is over and beyond!!! Everything was explained step by step and made you feel that you were in good hands. Kudos to the Human Resources department for hiring such a great staff. Dr. D and Lexi are AMAZING!!! Fantastic experience: I can no longer stand by my initial 5 star review. I'll let it sit up here because I'm a nice person.. BUT IN NO WAY IS THIS OFFICE 5 STAR CARE. I am a same day appointment because I've missed a couple and that's understandable. However, I was reassured that after being all point for the last couple appointments, I would not have that issue any longer. The second from my last appointments they told me I couldn't be seen because their systems were down. Ok. Things happen. Then on my next appointment someone called a few days before to tell me my insurance was not active and I couldn't be seen. That wasn't too accurate btw. But, Ok. I call today to make an appointment and now they're back on that, "Oh, you're same day appointments only". BUT THEY CANCELED ON ME TWICE! Then she said, well there are no notes in your file. So again, its MY fault no one is taking notes?! The staff is very nice but some seem incompetent and it's the reason I'm going else where. It's just too unprofessional to deal with. no other dentist office acts like this. .I expressed this to the young lady and she honestly didn't care so here it is on Google. Someone teach the staff retention. What did Red Fox say? Lol. IYKYK

Fantastic experience: Wow!! I just got done with a cleaning and wisdom tooth pulled. I was nervous as can be, but I’m so glad I got through all of it. Dr. A is amazing. Love her personality. Laid back, good music for people. All around feeling relieved

Negative experience: This dentist office is incredibly unprofessional. The front desk workers’ treatment to me has been rude and inattentive in person and over the phone. Any time I call, I’ve been put on hold for minutes. I had a request to transfer x-rays to a new office and not only were they short and sounded annoyed over the phone, but then lost my signed release form in their email inbox, and took more than 3 weeks to send it out. It was sent out only after I sat at my new dentist’s office and was on the phone with them for a good 15 minutes (most of that time on hold). This is the usual treatment I get. Not only that but the dentists usually stroll in, talk to you for one minute, have a weird attitude of superiority and then leave in less than 3 minutes. Would not recommend going here.

Negative experience: Came here a year ago and it was the best dentist I have ever had!! fast forward to today and it is not the same place anymore this place has went downhill and is just horrible only thing good about this place is “Doctor A” and she’s always booked up and for good reason, everyone else sucks smh

Negative experience: The dentist work was by far the worst experience of my life. Four days later I called to let the dentist know I was still in pain around 10am no never called me back until I had to call them back around 3pm to let me know nothing and to just wait out the pain. I had two teeth pulled and a root canal done. That’s a lot of pain. Will Not be Going back There Again. And the dentist never called me back to speak to me l left the office in tears. Never checked up on me this how you get treated when u don’t have good insurance my thoughts because I have had dental services before but this one was the Worst Experience Ever!!

Fantastic experience: This dental office is absolutely amazing! Dr Bassam and his team are great with pediatric patients like my children. I have two toddlers that needed some major dental work done and Dr Bassam took such great care of them he’s so patient and super friendly. He gets on their level of understanding as far as being kids. He explains everything thoroughly, he’s on point. My children and I felt welcomed and we definitely were in good hands! Negative experience: Been going to this office since 2020, that's when my last x-rays were done... It's been 3 years of me going to this place and no one said anything. Anyways, I have to get my wisdom teeth pulled since I have a cavity and had to pay out of pocket for that because I haven't had x-rays since my first visit. Most positive reviews are from employees!!!

Negative experience: If I could get zero stars, I would there’s no way to even explain how rude and unprofessional the staff is every single time that I’ve been there or called the office. They have been completely so rude and unprofessional. It’s unbelievable to me. I believe this is my second review because that’s how much it upsets me, and it’s so sad because I don’t wanna just keep hopping around a different dentist call because they’re don’t know how to treat people the dentist there. It was very nice and amazing but the staff was not… and the saddest thing is like there’s never any type of like call back or anything. I asked you with the manager and I’m not getting anywhere.!

Fantastic experience: Toni and her Angels 5 Stars . Professional Courteous Caring . I was so afraid to go to the Dentist. Never again the entire staff was efficient effective and worked together as a team. It was giving excellence. I will recommend. I’ll be getting my smile together one step at a time . The treatment plan was also explained. That visit was amazing. In addition Day 2 the extraction and fill ins . I always felt anxiety stress during dental visits . This dentist ain’t having it the only thing I felt was the chair rising up and down . Looking forward to my next visit .

Fantastic experience: Great dental office. Very well run. They get you to the back pretty close to your appointment time. But ive never had to wait longer then 10 minutes in the lobby. Everyone has been nice as well in the office. Toni and the others at the front desk always makes sure my appointment went OK and they are all friendly as well. I definitely would recommend this office to anyone looking for a good dentist or hygienist. I'm happy with the services they have provided me so far!

Negative experience: I scheduled a dentist appt 2 weeks in advance and the office never sent over the link for the paperwork but sent me confirmation links and phone calls, then when I get there before my appt they tell me that they would have to reschedule me because I didn’t submit the paperwork (they never sent) and they don’t have paper copies…that’s really and inconvenience because I took off work, when the receptionist called me the day prior they could’ve advised the paperwork was needed, so now they want me to take off work again. I wouldn’t recommend them to anybody

Fantastic experience: Doctor Saline is better than any other dentist. He appreciates time and tries to complete the work as accurate and doesn’t delay treatment. . Good appreciation of the patient’s quality of life. Cleaning was perfect as the dental cleaner is so nice and professional and takes her time even if the place is packed and its the end of the day.. Overall front desk is always available and put their best to meet insurance quotes and help patients. Overall very comfortable very functional. Wouldnt go anywhere else

Negative experience: The only thing I can say is they have an excellent and very friendly receptionist staff. Let me explain the 3 things that has happened to me. The first time I got my teeth cleaned the person cleaning my teeth didn’t even look at my teeth. She was literally looking into the next room listening to a conversation. Only glancing down at my teeth for a few brief moment when cleaning. The second time I got my teeth cleaned it seemed as if she was in a rush. She took the suctioning tube out my mouth so fast several times. I had to tell her I still had fluid in my mouth. The third interaction was another day after a cleaning the Dentist came to speak with me. He urged me to get dental work done that was needed. I was not agreeing to have the work done immediately so the Dentist decided to demonstrate why I needed the work done by using a cleaning tool (used to clean my teeth) and jammed it into a sensitive area in my tooth. Was that needed? No. I know the sensitive areas of my teeth and I don’t need someone inflicting pain on me trying to force me into getting a procedure.
