Fantastic experience: Love this place—- staff and doc— highly recommend!

Negative experience: This is one of those price gouging dentists that are the reason people have to go to Mexico to be able to afford dental care. They were going to charge me almost double because I had insurance, but then my insurance was only gonna cover half but then when I said, I was gonna pay it out-of-pocket all of a sudden the price changed again. Every time they came in with a price and I agreed to it they all of a sudden come in with another higher price. This was an emergency situation and the whole thing just seemed really scammy. I definitely would not recommend going to this dentist office.

I had to get a crown and I was stressed as I had previously had very painful procedures overseas and had reservations. The dentist and his assistant were awesome and everything went smoothly and painlessly. I feel silly now and will go to the dentist regularly.

Fantastic experience: I was very satisfied with the care and concern I received at my appointment. I received a thorough cleaning. I have also noticed a flexible policy with regard to X-rays required, which I appreciate due to a condition I have. Updated:03/23/2023: Just went for a cleaning today and I was due for Xrays. I reminded the technician about my condition and they quickly put it off till next visit and would use an alternate Xray method to accommodate my situation. My cleaning was excellent. Adam has a gentle , firm hand, but is very thorough. He also answers my questions and provides useful information too. I highly recommend Santa Fe Family Dentistry. Update: 11/21/2024 Went for a cleaning and Adam does a gentle, thorough cleaning. Highly recommended. Had a new Dr inspect my teeth and he was very quick and thorough. Still highly recommend Santa Fe Family Dentistry. Update: 11/21/2025 I went for a cleaning with Adam who did a great gentle job. Highly recommended. It was time for an X-ray and they did a quick professional job. I Had a new Dr inspect my teeth and she was very quick and thorough. Still highly recommend Santa Fe Family Dentistry.

Negative experience: Waited over an hour and a half from my SCHEDULED appointment time was never informed they were running behind. Finally I walked up the desk of statues to ask what was going on. Was told another 15 minutes (was more like 25) and was asked if I would like to reschedule or wait Then waited another 15 minutes to see the doctor who talked to me for a whole 10 minutes before having the tech setup for something he barley explained. If you value your time and health go elsewhere

Fantastic experience: Had an implant done. It was an upper rear molar. Tough place to get at. Justin Nylund did the procedure. He has a great manner and took the time to explain the process. He did a great job and I'm happy with the result. I've also been pleased with the routine dental care I get there

Fantastic experience: Appointments start right on time, ie. Minimum waiting. The dental hygienist is thorough and knowledgeable, giving helpful information on how to improve one’s home care. This office replaced a crown, again no issues with wait time or deficient service. They clearly have it together on how to run a modern dental office

Fantastic experience: Dr Chen was very professional and understanding when I mentioned the need to avoid getting water in my nostrils as doing so would trigger my dry eye. In addition, Adam is a very good hygienist and was also understanding when I mentioned the dry eye issue. Overall, a very good cleaning and positive experience.

Fantastic experience: I was establishing new service as well as having a tooth ache investigated. I was addressed immediately upon arrival. As I finished my paperwork I was taken back for X-rays by a competent dental assistant. Dr Wang, very pleasant and professional, evaluated my situation and X-rays. She immediately noticed a condition that needed referral to a specialist endodontist. I look forward to having all future dental services performed here.

Negative experience: The person who did the extraction for my tooth was good.. really good I don’t know if he was a doctor or not though I did ask how much it is going to cost me to extract my tooth and they told me it is $260 however while I’m on the chair every few minutes they bring paper to me and they tell me oh it is going to be $350 and after the extraction, they added other expenses, and my bill ended up $504.09 Right after I did go to CVS to get my medication and I found out that my bank account was wiped out and my balance is a zero When I called my bank, I found out that they charged me Again for the very last penny in my bank account How did they know how much is left in my bank account and they did go and they charged my card for that very exact amount I called them and they corrected the charge But that was very…… I will never trust going there again I felt like I was conned while I was very sick And I was called twice

Negative experience: I had an appointment with Dr. WANG in July. She misdiagnosed my problem leaving me in pain for weeks with a huge infection under my tooth. When I saw a competent dentist/endodontist my tooth had to be extracted and the infection had to be scraped down to the bone. The great endodontist who ultimately helped me said anyone (even a first year dental student) should have seen the cracks on two faces of my molar and the puss coming out of my gum. I strongly recommend against relying on this dental group!

He provided helpful information. The dentist came in next and performed the exam. They accepted my insurance. I am pleased with everything and will continue to come here.

Positive experience: I've been going here for about 15 years. I've had a couple of serious dental problems in that time and in the past, they've taken good care of me. The ownership has changed because Dr Pacheco retired, but the quality service and comfortable atmosphere has remained until recently. Good hygienist, Becky, noted early periodontal disease this time. I need 2 appts within 2 weeks and they could not find 2 spots in the next 3 months before I travel. In the meantime, she didn't do the normal cleaning I was there for. Reading other people's experiences, I think they have taken on too many patients and can't give us the services we need in a timely manner. After all, it's significant healthcare, not a nail or hair appt.

The office staff are always so friendly and will go the extra mile to research insurance coverage etc. The dental assistants are consistently friendly, reassuring and skilled.
