My hygienist today was Tori. She is very sweet, gentle, and easy to talk with and explained everything very well. I really like Dr. Switzer. She is so friendly, and she also explains things well. Love her bubbly personality!

Fantastic experience: I cannot give enough complimentary phrases to describe Kirchner Dental Practice in Jeffersonville. It is indeed an up to date state of the arts practice in every way. The staff is so very caring and empathetic. In particular, I want to single out, Dr Jennifer Wright. She is so professional and knowledgeable. I feel comfortable leaving my oral care in her hands. I highly recommend this fine group of dental advocates.

Negative experience: I must express my disappointment with Dr. Anah Switzer services. As a patient of hers for the past couple years, I have experienced significant tooth loss, with two teeth compromised after her treatment and potentially a third. Her bedside manner is severely lacking, as she rarely engages in direct conversation with patients, instead opting to communicate solely with her assistant. This lack of communication results in patients being uninformed about their treatment. I have experienced this issue repeatedly. A recent incident involved excruciating pain following the placement of two crowns, necessitating an additional visit. Dr. Switzer then informed me that I would require two root canals on the teeth she had just treated. I have also had to undergo multiple adjustments for a partial denture, which was also her work. I strongly advise against Dr. Switzer and her practice, based on my personal experience. I have incurred substantial financial losses, and my insurance benefits have been exhausted annually. I caution others against using this practice, as I suspect they may create additional problems to generate more business. This was the final incident that led me to seek alternative care.

Negative experience: Was informed that my insurance would cover all my expenses. I informed them that was great because thats why I pay for insurance and I can't afford any extra expenses. Set me for oral surgery for 5 days away while im in extreme pain then informed me I had to have several hundred bucks out of pocket. Insurance is a scam and doctors should be ashamed of the prices that they charge people its things like this why people dont take care of their health. Its simply not affordable. At least not for a single father of 2.

Negative experience: Booked me for an extraction and canceled, rebooked and got there and they ended up not doing it again due too my clotting issues. I. Had explained all of it prior. Got physician ok and referred me after I was in chair and numbed up. Incompettent

Positive experience: Very professional and kind. My mouth is still bleeding 3 days later and I have the headache from he—. I’ve been taking my ibuprofen and Tylenol. I’m not a fan of more stronger drugs at all but 4 broken teeth cut out of my mouth is very painful. Plus I am running a low fever. Every patient is different.

Negative experience: Today I was stuck like 9 times in my mouth and at one point I felt the needle go in my gum and I screamed the Dr proceeded to tell me that I can’t be yelling as it will alarm the other patients. Immediately following after I was told they would refer me to another dentist due to not being able to numb me. Now my issue is how was you not able to numb me after injecting me 9 times and I only really felt it once. Then being completely rude and for the second time not completing the procedure of extracting my wisdom teeth. Mouth numb as all get out I’m sitting awaiting a manager that never comes then the assistant arrives with a paper informing me about the referral. This leads to my misunderstanding of why in the new patient paperwork work does it ask about your level of dental anxiety and fear if it’s not going to be taken into consideration when performing dental work on patients. The level of discomfort and disrespect I received in the two days of visiting this office has been unbearable. I was told to keep taking the antibiotics as it should give some relief and I will receive a refund for the payment that was made yesterday for services I didn’t receive. They say there with smirks on their faces as I’m in distress crying because I was completely overwhelmed and not at one moment did I feel an ounce of compassion or sympathy. I appreciate the manager for trying but ensuring that my procedure was completed today would have been the best solution.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Wright and Amanda were both very kind and reassuring and kept me involved in their communication throughout the whole appointment. I was very appreciative of them answering all my questions, providing in depth explanations, and making sure I was comfortable. It was a great first visit and I’m glad that I found my dental office!

Fantastic experience: I had a crown replaced by Dr. Wright this morning, and I was so thankful to get to hang out with Teddy Roosevelt during the procedure. He completely took my mind off of the actual work being done in my mouth. Dr. Wright is by far the best dentist I have been to in the last 10 years, and I am no longer paralyzed with anxiety during my appointments. I highly recommend Kirchner Dental, and Dr. Wright.

Fantastic experience: I had already completed all of my pre visit medical and dental history so I only had to check in at the desk. In a matter of a few minutes I was taken back for the initial xrays then I was taken into an exam/ treatment area. Dr Alwan came in and introduced herself and then talked about my plan of care. Everyone I encountered was pleasant and professional. I would highly recommend them if you’re looking for dental care. On a personal note- I am a Vietnam veteran. The VA provides my care because I have a 100% disability rating due to health issues related to my service. I have been unable to get the dental care I need at the VA hospital due to lack of staffing. I was approved to go outside the VA for my dental work and am so grateful that Kirchner Dental is contracted and could take care of me. I was initially told that I would have to drive to a practice 1 1/2 hours north of Indianapolis for that care but thankfully Kirchner can take care of me now. Much thanks

Positive experience: Went in to pull 2 teeth. Informed dr kirchner doesnt pull teeth after I got there. Made plaster of uppers and refered to another dentist to remove teeth. Wish they had let me know upfront that they were not pulling my teeth. However they are great in all dental needs just don't pull teeth .

Fantastic experience: I broke a tooth Sunday night, called them Monday morning and they got me in by 10. VERY nice people from Dana, who I initially talked to on the phone, to the doctor herself, Dr. Switzer. Doctor was very confident, very nice, excellent bedside manner. I may have just found a new dentist. My appointment was at 10 and less than three hours later, I had a new crown on my tooth. I love em. Thank you all again, very much. Negative experience: I thought I loved this dentist until I took my son here. The lady that cleaned my son's teeth came to me concerned about my son being on an autistic spectrum just because he was humming a song while we chatted about his teeth and the fact he was a little frightened about being at the dentist. It was his second time ever in life. We will never be back!! I've cancelled all future appointments even for myself. If you want your kid to be treated like a human go somewhere else.

I found Kirchner by Googling oral surgeon and called Wednesday afternoon. Was able to get in the today at the Jeffersonville office. My entire experience, even with a throbbing tooth, was wonderful. Everything is explained thoroughly , the procedure and payment needed. Dr Switzer performed the extraction and was efficient, kind and knowledgeable. Susan was my technician throughout the morning and couldn’t have been kinder. She reassured me and took my mind off the impending extraction. My appointment was at 10 and I left at 12:30. And pain free. I HIGHLY recommend Kirchner Dental. This is my new dental group.
