Fantastic experience: Always such a great experience for my kids during their routine checkups! From the moment we walk in, Alesha greets us with kindness, and the techs, Ava and Tristin, truly go above and beyond. They genuinely care about the kids and their teeth, and it shows. As a parent with a little dental anxiety myself, it brings me so much comfort knowing my kids are building positive experiences and won’t carry those fears into adulthood. There’s truly nowhere else I’d take them. Keep up the amazing work!

The clinic is beautifully designed, with treatment rooms that are thoughtfully decorated and equipped with televisions playing the best kids’ channels, which helps children feel comfortable right away.The waiting area is also exceptional—there are video games to keep kids entertained and complimentary coffee available for adults, creating a pleasant and stress-free environment for families.Most importantly, the staff goes above and beyond standard dental care. They are not only skilled professionals but also truly focused on patient comfort, communication, and overall experience. Without a doubt, this is one of the best pediatric dentistry offices in Washington State.

Fantastic experience: Geriana Arlett and Dr. Lucas were amazing at my son’s dental visit. He is only 2.5 and has never had a cleaning before or X-ray. Geriana provided me answers to all of my questions and was really good with getting my son used to the tools she was using for his cleaning as well as the X-rays. She was very sweet toned with him and made his experience fun instead of scary cause we all know dental visits can be scary especially for kids. She let me turn on his favorite show and even let me take pictures :). Dr. Lucas as well answered all of the questions and provided/explained my son’s X-ray results thoroughly. I recommend both of them when bringing your toddlers to this dental office.

Fantastic experience: Arlett was amazing with our kid, she was gentle and interactive with our son making his dental experience enjoyable. He used to not like going to the dentist but I’m sure after this visit he’ll be asking when we can go back. The whole team, Geriana and Dr. Lucas were all super great. We love coming to Spanaway Children’s Dentistry!

Fantastic experience: I mistakenly didnt know that my daughter's appointment was canceled because I didnt confirm, that had my old phone number on file. We showed up to the appointment, they were able to get us in with a fully booked schedule anyways. Dr. Lucas is great as always. Joana and Sherrie are amazing as usual.

Fantastic experience: Heather checked us in fast, the visit with Sophie and Dr Lucas was a comfortable and nice experience for my son and I both

Negative experience: Long story short. My sister died, I was 5mins late for my son’s 7am appointment and instead of showing any type of compassion and understating they told me I had to find a new dentist for my children. My son has an infection in his mouth and needs a tooth pulled. Instead of being decent and working with me, they completely screwed me over. The lack of compassion is mind blowing.

Fantastic experience: Ariana-dental hygienist is amazing with her patience with the children and gave some very good advice with brushing and suggesting brushing tablets that I never heard of before to help with more thorough brushing for children. Dr. Lucas-he is always so soft spoken and gentle with the children. He works thoroughly and swiftly. Heather- greeted us at the door. Kindly let me know of paperwork that needed updated and explained how to fill out the paperwork. I love this office for my children. They also have weekend hours which is convenient for how busy are lives are these days.

My 3-year-old son is autistic and nonverbal, and the entire team went above and beyond to make his experience positive and comfortable from start to finish. Dr. Lucas showed incredible patience, compassion, and skill in helping my son feel safe during the exam. Geriana and Arlett, the dental assistants, were so gentle and understanding — they spoke softly, gave him breaks when he needed them, and encouraged him with kindness and smiles the whole time. Heather at the front desk welcomed us with warmth and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. What truly stood out was how naturally the whole team worked together to meet my son where he was — respecting his sensory sensitivities, moving at his pace, and celebrating every small success. Fantastic experience: I love this place for all of my children’s dental needs! We had to address an issue with my daughter’s crown. I called at 4pm on a Thursday and they were able to get us in the following morning at 8:30. I was pleasantly surprised! Sophie, the assistant and Dr Lucas made my daughter feel very comfortable. And Joanna in the front office was super sweet too.

Fantastic experience: I came to this dentistry because i needed a second opinion on my child's teeth . The pervious dentist from lakewood pushed on removing a lot teeth out. This dentist actual listened and try's different route . The staff here is extremely nice here

Fantastic experience: 5 years later and we still love it here! Just brought my now 7 year old (toddler then) and her brothers for their routine dental visit today. The staff in the front are always so welcoming. The waiting area was clean with a keurig for a hot cup and some games and books to read for the kids. Becca and Jeriana got the kids teeth cleaned and we were done and waiting for the doctor in less than 10 minutes. I recommend Spanaway Children's Dentistry to family and friends always! The staff and Doctor were awesome! Great communication, thorough exams, and cleaning, very informative after summary visits! Mitsy was super with my toddler and both her and her 6yr old brother don't ever fear dental visits anymore lol! They didn't want to leave and now keep asking when they will be going back every week We highly recommend them if you're in the area!

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to this place for at least 2 years for my kids. Every time I come in it seems like the time to come back is even longer. The staff is very friendly. The lobby is designed for kids in mind. I do like the corner that has a couple games for kids to play. Both of my kids like the coins you get at the end of the visit to put in the machine and get a toy. Although they don't get what they wanted they still enjoy being able to get the surprise at the end. I wish they had that when I was a kid cause I hate going to the dentist. Overall this place is amazing!

Fantastic experience: The hygienist I got was Sophie. She was really nice, she accommodated to my needs, and she was good at her job. The doctor knows his stuff, he was really good with my year old brother, really patient with him. I go every six months, and every time the staff are kind, understanding, and they know what they are doing. I have had to sit up from the chair twice in total, and both times, the staff pulled away, asked if I was okay, and were really patient. (its nothing with them I just have a terrible habit of swallowing water lol). The chairs are comfortable, they have little arcade games in the waiting room, and theyre good with all ages of kids and teens as far as my experience has gone. Thank you Sophie and Lucas, you guys were awesome.

Fantastic experience: The nice, courteous staff are welcoming. My children, one toddler and one school aged child, enjoy coming to see Dr. Luke. At today’s appointment Nicole and Sunshine helped put my children at ease when cleaning their teeth. This clinic also partners with an orthodontist office, so all my children’s dental needs can be taken care of here. Updated 2025: still a great dentistry. Sophie and Dr.Luke were professional and great with kids.

Fantastic experience: My 6 year old had a dental visit and upon entering the room she was nervous, but they have little squishy toys to make them feel comfortable and calm. It totally worked and she did amazing after she was given those toys! Dr. Lucas and sophia is very informative and gave us the reassurance we needed. Such an amazing office when it comes to taking care of teeth and making sure the kids are given the best experience. My daughter left so happy!

Fantastic experience: My daughter had an accident at home that resulted in her tooth getting knocked out of place. I called and they were able to get us in that morning. Rebecca and the dentist were so patient with us and helped my daughter take the tooth out and give her such a positive experience. Could not recommend this place enough they’re fantastic!

Fantastic experience: My daughter are both neurodivergent. This office has the best staff and they really work on the anxiety the kids can experience at the dentist. Sophie C. is the best hygienist we have ever had and she is the only one that has truly made dental care accessible for our kids.

Fantastic experience: My daughter Shelby loves going to her dentist appointment. The team is so friendly and very gentle. It's the best place to bring your children as well as if they have a disability. My daughter has level 3 autism and they are fantastic with her being non-verbal. I recommend this dental clinic to every parent who has children you will love it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Negative experience: I just took my son in for an anesthesia appointment. When we arrived my son informed me that he ate 3 small bites of a licorice stick. I informed the staff immediately as soon as we walked in. The anesthesiologist then said we would have to reschedule. I had no problem with this my son took full responsibility. When we walked out to reschedule I was informed that due to " clinic policy" that my son was no longer a patient at their clinic. I had to explain to my son that is on the spectrum that because he did something that any kid would do and owned up to it that he can longer go to his favorite dentist and has to build trust and a relationship with a whole new dentist and clinic. Thank you Spanaway Dental for upsetting a kid because it is to much work to reschedule an appointment that no one but your clinic had an issue rescheduling

Fantastic experience: What a wonderful place !!! The experience for my 5 year old was wonderful. She was nervous at first, but the staff did a great job at easing her anxiety. The experience with the Xrays was amazing. They have a portable X ray gun and easy mouth shield you never even have to leave the dentist chair. We love have had issues in the past with getting X-rays so this being so easy and painless for her was a 10/10. The waiting room had arcade games for the kids and the exams rooms have a tv on the wall and ceiling for your little one. Over all I am so happy with switching over to Spanaway Kids Dental.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Lucas and Sophie made both my kids (7 year old and 5 year old) feel safe and comfortable. They have TVs on the ceiling and wall of the exam rooms and gave them little toys at the end while I talked to the receptionist. Really helped me with all the details. They've made my kids so comfortable they are excited to go to the dentist! We've now been seeing them for 3 years, and the experience has always been great, including a couple of major procedures. Highly recommended.
