Fantastic experience: Columbine Dental, and Sierra in particular, is wonderful. Everyone is genuinely kind and friendly from the moment you enter until you leave. The practice is not hectic or loud, it's very quiet and peaceful which is rare for any medical office in my experience. Sierra was my hygienist. She was so nice and calmed my anxiety by clearly explaining things and giving me the chance to ask questions. I never felt rushed and she took great care of me. Pricing and what is covered is very clearly explained and I appreciated the transparency. I never felt pressured and was able to move forward with a care plan I was comfortable with. The front desk staff is also very helpful and friendly. They helped me navigate some tricky insurance issues with patience and a true willingness to solve the problem. I will recommend this practice!

Negative experience: Been going to this office for over 30 years and my son and I loved everyone there, but these are all new people! Today we were supposed to have our teeth cleaned. but neither of us got our teeth cleaned. Because I have bone loss and they said they don't clean your teeth anymore. I just asked several dental offices, and they said that's not true. They said the tartar and stains still need to be cleaned. They didn't clean my handicapped son's teeth either. He doesn't have bone loss but said because of his gum measurements they don't clean his teeth anymore. That is also false according to several dental offices. These are all new people and none of them are ones we have worked with in the past. If several dental offices disagreed with this dental office, regarding the cleaning of your teeth, I wonder how good of dentists and hygienists they are! My son is still crying because he didn't get his teeth cleaned. They could have at least cleaned his teeth, but I think it's because he's handicapped and in a wheelchair. I even said I would pay for it, even though I have insurance. The other people that use to be there were so good to Corey and had no problem cleaning his teeth in his wheelchair. This is a terrible place now!

Negative experience: Such a disappointment… I have been a loyal patient at Columbine dental for 30 years. My entire family saw Drs. Meyers and Hobbs, and always had great experiences. Over the last couple of years, there have been countless canceled and rescheduled appointments due to lack of staff. My experience with Dr. Aleman…terrible. Went in to have an old filling replaced with a crown. A couple of days later, (he had to repeat the process twice !) the tooth became infected. That was a Saturday. When Dr. Aleman finally returned the call (24 hrs later) he clearly stated ‘they don’t anything on the weekends! He was rude and condescending. I would give this clinic 0 stars if that were available. Use at your own risk!!

Positive experience: 11.3.25 - Update, Dr Westermeier no longer there. New male Dr B hit my tooth hard with the mirror & didn’t acknowledge or apologize. Sayde was her same exceptional self. I've been going for years & have loved all of my experiences with Lan, Sadie, Soraya, and Dr. Westermeier. Sometimes the office staff who handles texting and follows up on reschedules can be sassy or fail to follow up, but I'm still willing to give 5 STARS for the 4 ladies going above and beyond every time I'm in office.

Fantastic experience: WHAT A GODSEND!!! I have always had horrible dental anxiety and wow, just wow. The front desk was kind and respectful, my hygienist, Tammy did a phenomenal job. I had two assistants who were great as well! She was gentle and efficient! As per the doctor, I couldn’t have better things to say. Dr. Victoria Rick was potentially the best dentist I have ever encountered! Dr. Rick is gentle, confident, extremely skilled and the coup de grace is Dr. Rick is so likable! In another world I could see her being a great friend! If I could give this office 10/5 stars I would!

Fantastic experience: My crown fell off last night after hours. I called in the morning and they were able to get me in immediately. They did everything they could to make my visit pleasant. They were very thorough at making sure that my tooth was not infected and in good condition before replacing the crown. I was in and out of there in 30 minutes and didn't miss any of the appointments I had scheduled for the rest of the day. I was so thankful for their flexibility and care.

Fantastic experience: Had heather as my dental technician and everything went very smooth ….. Seems more “out-of-pocket” expenses, showing up …..fluoride, and now the gum light service that apparently is not covered. This is usually endemic of large corporate ownership…. and often times about the time people start looking for alternatives…heather .made some recommendations…. I’ve been going here for several years and I’ve had no real issues so will continue to support them and would not hesitate recommending them.

The hygienist was so thorough and conscientious about doing a really good job, and didn’t zing me at all. Dr. Rick was kind and personable and professional. I felt like I was very well taken care of with them.

Negative experience: My temporary crown broke in half and fell out four days after it was put in. I called the emergency number on Saturday and the answering service said that Dr. Rick would not take my call and told me to take Advil and Tylenol until Monday. The pain of the exposed nerves was too much to even drink room temperature water. This was the level of care they provided.

Negative experience: I have been a patient for over 25+ years but noticed the new management has staff selling up on products and services. I was just sold a very expensive prescription oral fluoride rinse and should have asked if it was necessary, price, and more cost effective alternatives. Don't fall for the usual gimmicks. Hygienists should disclose upfront if this product or service is covered under insurance. Also, they keep on changing my scheduled cleaning appointments and say they don't have any hygienists in that day. Once is understandable. Several times is questionable.

Negative experience: I've been a patient here for over 4 years. I've always had a pleasant experience with my dentist. But I have grown super tired of the front staff and how rude they can be. You never know if you're going to catch one in a good mood because it's mostly bad. I've also have had issues with rude hygienists. One who accused me of potentially harming my unborn baby because I had trouble flossing around my permanent retainer. They call to reschedule appointments but are completely rude when you need to reschedule yours. To top it off my last filing they left some sort of residue on my tooth that has now caused a cavity and sensitivity, dislocated my jaw from having it open up so long and they had the nerve to want to charge me over $300 for a mouth guard from a problem they caused. It's so difficult to find quality, friendly dental offices these days.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful people! Great care! Been going to Columbine dental and team for probably 30 years. The original dentists retired about 5 years ago, and I was a little nervous but the current dentists and other staff have been wonderful, caring and good. I drive about a half hour from where I live and will continue because of the great care and pleasant atmosphere.

Great communication all around. The Dr was and his staff are awesome, so personable, detailed, out of the box suggestions and always assures the most helpful solution options in minimizing pain.

She was friendly, empathetic, and non-judgemental. In addition, she incorporated a couple tricks of the trade which I'd never experienced and found highly beneficial.

My dental hygenist really helped me with some issues today and I was in and out in a shorter time than I thought. The staff is friendly and lets me know where they are going to do before they do it and the Dentists are friendly and knowledgeable.

Negative experience: I was a patient in this office for 27 years until Dr. Meyer retired. Since the new owners arrived, I've had 2 cleanings with their hygienist, Sierra, who was outstanding. Unfortunately the last time I was scheduled for a cleaning appointment with Sierra I arrived at the office and they put me in a room with another hygienist, Jane and gave no explanation. It was the most Barbaric dental cleaning by a hygienist that I have EVER had in my whole life. I told the staff that fact when I checked out, I called 2 days later and left a message for Dr. Aleman about it, and I wrote 2 complaint letters to him too. NO RESPONSE. Unfortunately, with that type of disregard for a long-term patient, I decided to change dentists. Even a little courtesy call from Dr. Aleman would have been appreciated.

Negative experience: The only thing I will say its not Ok to be lectured when visiting the dentist. I have been going to this dentist office for close to 20 years and never had this happen until recently.

Not only is the staff one of the friendliest group of individuals I’ve ever encountered at a dentist office, they are actually equipped for those with severe anxiety. I haven’t been this relaxed at a dentist office in a long time. 10/10 would recommend.

Fantastic experience: This is the best dental practice I have ever experienced. The doctors and hygienists are top notch while maintaining a friendly, respectful, gentle and caring environment. Never had any problems! They listen and made me feel well taken care of. Excellent all the way around, and I have been going for about 15 years or so.

Negative experience: Several bad experiences here and will be looking for a new dentist. They are not clear or transparents about costs. They try to make me do x-rays every 6 months at my cleaning appointments and can never tell me whether it will be covered by my insurance or not. My hygeinst was judgemental and lectured me when a year passed between my visits instead of 6 months. I did not appreciate being shamed (expecially when I have zero cavities or dental issues! I take good care of my teeth). Lastly their scheduling is absurd. They called me 4 times in a row while I was teaching a class and couldn't answer my phone--all to confirm an appointment I confirmed online. They then cancelled my appointment (despite me confirming online!) because I couldn't stop teaching to answer the phone in the middle of the workday. I feel they are just trying to make money off of people with unecessary services, and they are rude. I even had one of the women in the front office tell me my insurance "isn't very good" (who says that to someone?) even though I was only there for a cleaning and AGAIN, had zero issues with my teeth.

Fantastic experience: Sierra is simply the best dental hygienist I’ve ever worked with - period. It’s not often I say that kind of thing or that I find someone who I feel genuinely cares about their patients in the health care industry anymore. Sierra is an absolute perfectionist on top of all of that and so good at what she does! I don’t love going to the dentist but I do love working with her! Dr. Rick, AKA Victoria is a top notch dentist also and was very thorough in her explanation of my dental needs. Can’t wait to work with her more in the future. They both get 5 stars from me! This office came highly recommended and they do not disappoint!

Negative experience: Avoid at all cost! Should be 0 stars. I Have been a loyal patient of this office since the 90's as a child. Since Dr. Meyer and Dr. Hobbs retired and are no longer running the practice it is not the same. Never have had problems with Columbine dental until recently. If you have questions about billing they give you a run around. Went in today to try and get some more answers and was told to wait so they could clock back in from lunch and they would pull my account up and discuss. Waited about 10 minutes and was told they needed to help someone else and they would get back to me. It feels like service costs have gone up, insurance covers less and ive been misquoted by a significant a less put of pocket than true cost. After multiple visits, payments made by myself and insurance to the practice I was never informed of a balance that had been carrying over since July 2023. Instead of getting that balanced cleared up at any point after multiple visits for different services for myself and kids they continued to let it sit until I was told I owed almost $1000 four months shy of the 2 year mark since the balance was $0

Negative experience: If you’re looking for a crash course in medieval dentistry, look no further than Dr. Aleman’s office! I came in for a *completely pain-free* chipped tooth, only to leave with the kind of sensitivity that could double as a live wire. They eagerly suggested a crown, placed a temporary one, and sent me on my way—no issues until the anesthesia wore off and my tooth felt like it had been personally offended by the procedure. Turns out, my discomfort wasn’t just “new dental work settling in.” No, it was bits of temporary material *left behind* under the crown, pressing into my gums like tiny, sinister dental landmines. When I pointed this out, Dr. Aleman waved it off and instead fast-tracked me for a root canal—no attempt to fix or even *address* the issue. Instead of following that questionable recommendation, I went to another dentist who prescribed steroids, which actually helped. Fast forward to the installation of the permanent crown: I casually mentioned that my tooth was sensitive when messed with. The dental assistant heard this and took it as a challenge. She popped off the crown without warning, numbing, or even the slightest nod to my impending doom. Surprise, surprise—more rogue dental material was found underneath! At this point, I should have been given a frequent flyer card for unnecessary suffering. The doctor’s only response? “You might feel some zings.” Zings? Try excruciating lightning bolts straight to my soul. I left the office *in tears*. Not a follow-up call. Not a concern for my well-being. Just a statement with an additional balance owed—because apparently, agony comes with a price tag. If you enjoy feeling like you’re part of a bizarre dental horror movie, this is the place for you. Otherwise, I suggest running in the opposite direction—preferably with all your teeth still intact.

Fantastic experience: I did not have to wait in the waiting area for very long. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The dental assistant was pleasant, informative, and efficient.

Fantastic experience: This was my son's first visit and I was so impressed!! From the check-in process to the hygienist, to the dentist, and then to our checkout, everything was so seamless. I am a clinic manager of a medical practice, and I would be so happy to have my office be so kind, welcoming, and well run. Thank you for all you did to make my teenager feel comfortable and well cared for!

Negative experience: Unprofessional with appointments made. I intentionally make a 4:00pm appointment due work. They constantly call to try and move up my appointment to an earlier time. Today when I didn’t answer my phone because I was at work they left a message asking if I could come in at 3. I couldn’t so I just came in at 3:36 for my 4:00 appointment and was notified they canceled it due to someone calling out. They said I needed to reschedule and the next available 4:00 appointment wasn’t available for another month and a half out. I have been going to this office since I was a child over 30 years and I have never had an issue with my appointment being canceled. I am highly disappointed.

Negative experience: My family has been going to Columbine Dental for over 20 years. I needed 3 crowns but decided to get 2 done before the end of 2024. They checked with my insurance and they said I had enough with my "maximum allowed" to cover it. They also said I needed the permanent crowns in before the 2025. I get it done and as I'm leaving the front desk says "oh, looks like Delta Dental didn't cover as much as we thought. You owe $788" They specifically checked before I agreed to the treatment. They said "well you signed the form saying it was an estimate" The estimate was based on them calling my insurance. The manager called me later that day and was extremely rude. I'm baffled how little they cared about patients that had been so loyal. We're done with them.

She explains everything she's doing, provides great dental hygiene recommendations and answers any questions you have. Dr.s Aleman and Westermeier are very thorough, friendly and professional. Negative experience: My family and I have been going here for over 14 years. I have been on the fence about finding a new Dental practice to go to for many reasons concerning the front office. For my 6-month cleaning I requested Sierra as my hygienist since I have been going to her for the past few times. She is very thorough and does a great job. They said she was booked out really far. I said that was fine I was in no hurry. We scheduled it and then a few weeks later they called and cancelled my apt without explanation. When I rebooked, I said I wanted the same hygienist (Sierra) and was scheduled. When I showed up for my apt., someone I had never met before took me back. When I asked who she was she said she was Jane and would be cleaning my teeth. Fine, so Jane cleaned my teeth in under 30 minutes including the fluoride treatment not at all the same thoroughness I usually receive. I had a cleaning and a fluoride treatment. That is all I had done, no x-rays or any other fluff. There was no doctor in, so no oral checkup done. Went to pay and they said that it was going to be approx. 175.00! I said that can't be right. One of the front office ladies looked at my last visit and said "well, that's what you paid last visit." When I questioned them about that being too high, one of the other front desk ladies shrugged her shoulders and said, "everything has gone up". What? Then they said they would have the hygienist come up and "explain it to me". Turns out I was being overcharged by $52.00. May not seem like a big deal but I knew I was being overcharged! They adjusted it but looked perturbed that they were in the wrong. No an apology or anything. I am really disappointed in the attitude of the front desk!!! They were all friendly and cheery when I walked in and then the atmosphere completely changed when I questioned being overcharged. I wonder how many times I may have been overcharged because I just paid it without question.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to cColumbine Dental for over 20 years and although it has been recentlee purchased and the original doctors have retired. The new staff is amazing and customer service is always number one.

Negative experience: My parents were very miss informed by this practice and ended up with a $1000. My parents tried to make sure before ever scheduling an appointment that they, one took their insurance, and two that their insurance would cover the work they needed done. They were assured they "took" the plan they had. Then when they came in to discuss all treatments needed they stated they verified insurance and it would be covered. They had a total of 3-4 appointments and assured every time that it would be covered. Now they have a bill for $1000 because they are not a preferred providers with their insurance. Which again was asked before ever making an appt. Called insurance and was told had they went to a preferred provider it would have been. I then called to help sort out what happened got told by 2 diff front desk people that something was messed up went over all info with me but told I would need to speak with a manager. Who seems to NEVER be in-office. Called every day for 4 days getting told she is not in but they would leave her a note. Never got a call back. Manager finally called my parents back to be told they can't talk to me due to HIPAA. To bad your front desk staff broke that the 4 times I called before that and went over all details of his care/bill. Manager was rude and couldn't answer basic questions they tried to asked them. She stated my Front desk staff can answers these questions. However your staff I talked with agreed I needed to speak with a manager. Manager got frustrated and hung up on my parents. I have ALWAYS been able to get straight up front costs before ever having treatment done at ANY dental office. My parents should not have had a $1000 bill. Wasn't even offered a self pay discount since insurance would not cover. Would NOT recommend this practice to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Had an appointment for deep cleaning today and the experience was great. I usually feel anxious with dental appointments but the hygienist Tammy made it less anxious because she’s great with patient care, takes her time and makes sure you’re satisfied. Definitely recommend getting your cleaning done with her.

Fantastic experience: All the newest latest and greatest equipment, extremely thorough and detailed. My teeth, have not felt this good and clean in years. The staff is extremely friendly and proficient, and the prices are way less than other dentist in the area.

Negative experience: The teeth cleaning was great, friendly hygienist. Felt the front desk staff needed some fluffing. They called a customer for being 4 minutes late.

Fantastic experience: My hygienist Sierra is the best I ever had. All of the people I have interacted with have been courteous and respectful. My other family members have different hygienists, and they have all been great as well.

Fantastic experience: I am so happy that Sierra is now my hygienist. Two years ago I had a horrible experience with a different hygienist there. I almost left the dental practice after that after 30 years, but found Sierra. She has a calm demeanor and is very thorough. I also like all of the dentists.

Negative experience: Just getting progressively more frustrated with this office. I have been going here for a couple of years and have never missed an appointment. This morning I over slept and missed my 7am. I called to apologize and reschedule and was guilted so bad. Basically told that these are their most popular times and that they need a heads up next time and that I need to call ahead so I don’t get a fee. I get it, it was an honest mistake. Life happens. All you could say is, “hey life happens, just try to make it next time to avoid a fee.” It would be one thing if I missed multiple times, but this was once. Not to mention that they have cancelled appointments on me and my husband 3 times and we never made them feel bad. And I often get miscommunication about my appointment times. And the first time I came in I was very rudely told that they had been trying to get a hold of me all day to confirm my appointment. I had zero calls or texts. Time to move on.

Positive experience: Been going here for about 15 years if not more. Change of ownership really made an impact. I like most of the staff and the Dr Alleman is nice but, I miss the old team but they are all gone. I don’t care much for the front desk staff. They can come across as rude at times. Depends on the day. Costs have increased significantly. Unfortunately I’ll be leaving and going elsewhere. I can’t find a solution to the issue I’ve been dealing with for over a year.

Fantastic experience: Columbine Dental has always been very professional and caring for patient needs. I met Dr. Aleman this week and liked him very much. Also my hygenist, Sariah (sp) was very very good and did an excellent job.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming here for a couple years now. I absolutely love it! Jane cleans my teeth and she is the BEST! I just finished my Invisalign because like every other adult, I didn’t wear my retainer. My teeth are so beautiful and I feel so confident! The dentist also fixed my chip in the front and I am beyond grateful! I definitely will be coming here forever ❤️
