Negative experience: I have never left a bad review, or a review in general for any business. This time I have to. I had an appointment last week that i booked 6 months ago because thats all that was available online. I showed up on time and they said oh I can see you appointment here in the old booking system but its not there in the new booking system (not my fault), but we dont have time for you today we will have to reschedule. New appointment was for today, I arrived 20 minutes early. The waiting room filled up quickly but no one was going in or out of the office. after alittle over an waiting i got up and left. this place has no respect for peoples time, so theres no reason for anyone to give them any business. I have never actually fulfilled an appointment with them to this point and i wont be going in there ever again.

Fantastic experience: I had my first appointment today and I believe that I’m in good hands!! I was pretty nervous when I came in but I realized I had nothing to worry about. The hygienist and dentist were gentle, informative and understanding. They did a great job cleaning my teeth and forming a great dental plan. The front desk was super friendly too and helpful. I have a long way to go with my smile and I’m glad I chose garden state!!

The dentist and dental assistant were amazing—attentive, kind, and really made me feel comfortable throughout the whole visit. They explained everything clearly, worked with me on exactly what I needed, and made the process quick and easy. Definitely one of the most positive dental experiences I’ve ever had!

Negative experience: I came here with severe wisdom tooth pain for an “emergency appointment.” Was told the doctor was running late , and after waiting 25 minutes for him to arrive, he looked at my x-rays, told me to take Motrin, and said I had to see an oral surgeon — nothing else was done. I explained I was in debilitating pain and couldn’t get in with an oral surgeon for weeks, but they still refused to prescribe anything to help. I left in the same pain, with a hefty bill for an appointment that offered me no relief. I went to another dentist afterward, who prescribed an antibiotic and stronger medication — my pain was gone within two days while I waited for the oral surgeon. Garden State Smiles of Brick left me suffering when another office immediately helped.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful visit. The dentist Zona was terrific and Lindsay at the desk was also very pleasant and informative. Would recommend everyone that I know to go to garden state smiles.

Fantastic experience: Coming from a person PETRIFIED of dentists, Dr. Basar gets a 10. He was professional, confident and reassuring; I knew from the beginning I was in the best hands! His whole office was awesome actually, especially Lauren. From figuring out the dental plan, finances and fears, she handled me with the kid’s gloves I needed. Kindness and understanding of my silly superstitions, she is perfect in her job. Once my procedure day arrived I was incredibly surprised how quick and painless the implant process was. Dr. Basar and Jackie continually reassured I was doing well (which was very reassuring and calming to hear). Owen was incredibly gentle and reassuring with the implants. Another Godsend for this worrywart. He’s fantastic in his job. I’m sure it was just “another day” in their world, but they made a big difference in mine. I left with a painkiller Rx in hand, but only needed one for 3 or 4 days (more out of “staying ahead of the pain). I had no bruising face like many people get, which I was thankful for. Thanks for the new smile!

Fantastic experience: Dentists and hygienists are always friendly and do a great job! The practice is run very efficiently, which allows me to get in and out promptly with very little wait time.

Negative experience: I’m not calling the office like they want me to. My first experience was ok as far the dentist and periodontal specialist. BUT THEY REALLY NEED TO FIRE THE RECEPTIONIST IN THE FRONT. She wasn’t helpful the first time at all, she practically ignored me. Wrote a review about it. So the next time I had an appointment, I was stuck in traffic and was like 5 minutes away. She told me she had to cancel my appointment bc it wouldn’t be enough time. Mind you I’m like a 30 minute away (EACH WAY) drive from this office. I left my house on time to expecting to be there before my scheduled time. So to tell me 5 minutes before arriving that they’re gonna cancel my appointment was infuriating enough. Then to add fire to the mess she was like, “BTW your insurance didn’t cover last visit so you owe us 300 something dollars.” WHERE IN HER MIND DID SHE THINK IT WAS APPROPRIATE TO BRING THAT UP WHEN IM ALREADY UPSET ABOUT YOU CANCELING MY APPOINTMENT 5 MINUTES BEFORE ARRIVING??? She’s lucky I was raised right bc I could’ve came anyway and MADE A SCENE/CUSSED HER OUT.

Fantastic experience: 7/11/25 Had a really good visit with my hygienist. She always takes the time to chat and let me know how I’m doing with my oral care at home. I’ve stepped it up and got KUDOS from my hygienist. I like GSS. I switched to this dentist office and I’m very glad I did. First off they have Saturday hours which was essential for me. Super nice staff and the Dentist is awesome. He explains everything. My hygienist today was a dream come true as she did an awesome job cleaning my teeth. I never feel pressured into having the necessary work done like at my other dental experience. Instead i am educated and can make informed decisions. Thank you for your excellent service. Update: My husband had his first appointment today with this dental office and he had a very good experience. He said everyone was extremely helpful. He had been told that he needed a procedure by his other dental office and GSS educated him that he could wait on this procedure and showed him why it wasn’t an urgent matter at all. My husband was very relieved. He has decided to change dentists. Update 3/12/24. Came in for my implant today. Everything went well. Dr. Ferraris did his magic. Didn’t feel a thing. Look forward to my 2 week post op. Love this dental office. They care about you. 8/15/25. Had lost a filling and GSS got me in right away. I met a new dentist that day Dr Elia. She was AWESOME!!! Told the receptionist to make her my primary dentist. She took the time to get to know me and any of my health issues. She also explained everything she was doing and why. She was always concerned that the process was comfortable: no pain. Very supportive. She and the Assistant worked well together. I have say all the dentists and hygienists who work there are very good and the administrative staff are kind and knowledgeable- respectful.

Fantastic experience: Cleaning was great, very knowledgeable and gentle. I worked in the civilian dental field and was in the Navy as a dental tech. Over 30 years combined. So as a result I’ve seen and had a lot of dental work. Dr. Ferraris does the best crowns I have ever had done. I wouldn’t get a crown or dental work anywhere else. The staff is wonderful, every one of them are kind and knowledgeable. PS: His shots are almost painless! Very happy!

Fantastic experience: Always anxiety when going to the dentist. This was such a wonderful visit, so different from other offices. The staff were kind and friendly. Dr. Zona and Jessica were very understanding and very comforting. They dealt with my anxiety and he was very gentle. The front Desk very helpful and friendly. I will be going back This Wednesday, I had dental work done. What can I say about this office. The front desk are very accommodating and friendly. Dr. Zona and Michelle work so well together. I have to say Dr. Zona is the best, he is very good with his patients anxiety, he just talks and puts you at ease.

Fantastic experience: My latest visit to Garden State Smiles was my fifth time at this office. As usual I was greeted at the reception desk with smiles and utmost courtesy. After just a few minutes wait I proceeded to the treatment room to have some xrays and other measurements in preparation for a bridge. Here again I was made to feel comfortable and it didn't take long to accomplish everything. Going to the dentist for some people can be a daunting and frightening experience and most people would rather be anyplace other than in the dentists chair. For me the exception to this rule is a visit to Garden State Smiles. I actually look forward to my visits there because the staff including Dr Chueiri are very amicable knowledgeable and professional. If you have ever had a bad experience at another dentist I can tell you that a visit to Garden State Smiles will have you coming back again and again. Hats off to the staff and management of Garden State Smiles you really know how to treat a Patient.

Positive experience: My hygienist was great! They never changed my insurance from my update and it was documented I had a cleaning last year that I never had. Thanks to my hygienist I had yesterday it took 20 minutes but it was corrected and the gentleman at the front desk corrected it quickly. I'm scheduled for end of August..time will tell

Fantastic experience: Look, no one really likes going to the dentist. Both my wife and I are patients of Garden State Smiles and we have always found them to be courteous, always concerned with patient safety, willing to take as much time as needed to explain things and very good with appointment times. As a patient, you know that the dentist and staff are very good when complex procedures go smoothly and do not cause much discomfort. We particularly appreciate the fact that they do a patient wellness check after a procedure. We would recommend Garden State Smiles you you for your dental needs.

Positive experience: My biggest complaint with Garden State Smiles is very hard to keep a dentist you like. As soon as they have been there for a while they move out of the practice or into another office that is no longer convenient for you to get to. And they don't care about that because when I talk to the owner, who I do like, he really doesn't seem to show any sympathy for his patients who are comfortable with their dentist and then constantly lose them and have to start with someone new. I love the dentist I am seeing right now and I hope he's there for a while. The manager, Lindsay, always tries to help in any way she can. And the young gentleman at the desk, Darien, is truly the sweetest guy and is all so very concerned for the patients.

Fantastic experience: I was in search of a new dentist and a friend recommended Garden State Smiles. From the moment I made my first appointment I was thrilled with my experience. I was able to get an appointment right away. On appointment days there was little to no waiting room time. The dentist and staff made me feel comfortable even through a root canal! My new crown was created digitally without the horrible cement molding goop…and feels like my natural teeth! I’m always nervous about dentist visits and Garden State Smiles in Brick made each visit easy and pain free!

All too often I read reviews that merely reflect a first impression, rather than a recounting of actual experiences collected over a meaningful amount of time. To begin, my very first visit to Garden State Smiles was routine, I felt heard, and was seen on time. Since then I have had quite a few procedures and every appointment followed the example set on the first visit. There is a quality of care here that is exemplary. It is not cliche to state that I feel like family due to the friendly attitude and thoroughness of everyone in the office. I have had a few occasions where there was a pressing need for a rapid response, and I not only received the response impressively quick, it never felt like it was a bother or inconvenience. That builds the kind of loyalty any business desires. To be sure, I have never had a "bad dentist", but I have never had THIS level of personal satisfaction either. I offer without any reservation my very highest recommendation.

Fantastic experience: It was my first time there. I moved from Hunterdon county. Maria was my dental hygienist. She was very pleasant and kind. She made sure I was ok at every step and explained what she was doing throughout the whole cleaning process. I saw Dr Jay( sorry don’t know the correct spelling) for an exam. She also was pleasant even though she was there for a few minutes.

Fantastic experience: Amazing staff and treatment. The brick office is the most courteous and helpful dental office I have ever been. There is so much to think and worry about during the implant process but Dr. Ferraris and the entire staff can guide you easily through it all. I cant recommend or give enough praise to Graden State Smile of Brick.

Positive experience: I always feel welcome once I walk in the door. The staff are courteous and friendly. Lindsey my hygienist is great. Makes you feel calm and her process in your mouth is gentle. The Dentist unfortunately does not seem to be very friendly just matter of fact. This gives me anxiety about having him work in my mouth. That’s the only reason I didn’t give the place 5 stars.

Negative experience: The office provided false info regarding insurance coverage which caused me to pay what should have been fully covered in network. This is also not so big of a dental office in a not so big of town, and it is suspicious to have so many google reviews. Likely fraudulent.

Fantastic experience: Each time I visit this office, the staff is pleasant and welcoming. Scheduling is flexible and quick but efficient in office time. Most importantly, hygienist and dentist have been gentle and supportive during each of my procedures. Most recently, I finally addressed a cosmetic issue with one of my front teeth and let me tell you, not only did he exceed my expectations but I could have napped during the process. Dr. Chueiri is the best!

Fantastic experience: Excellent visit, Lindsay, who did my cleaning was super nice and patient and helped me get through the x-rays which I’m gagger and it’s not always pleasant!! The doctor also is very thorough and very informant. And Lindsay at the desk gave a lot of information on the procedures that I have coming up and the cost.

We really liked Dr Ferraris, who gave us clear and complete information, and answered all the questions we had plus others we hadn’t thought to ask! Highly recommended this practice.

Negative experience: Dr referred me to their oral surgeon who works one day a month and will not call me back to schedule the tooth pull and dentist has yet to return any of the 4 messages I left them. Still in pain still need a tooth pulled

Fantastic experience: I scheduled an appointment as a "new patient" for a cleaning and treatment plan. Not only was I able to get my appointment scheduled within a few days, the office/desk staff was very friendly, accommodating and informative about my insurance benefits. Upon arrival, I went right in, and met the hygienist who was equally as personable as the other employees. She was very thorough and did a wonderful job with my cleaning. The dentist was also friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. He explained everything in a way I could easily understand. I felt very comfortable there. This was a great dental experience.

Fantastic experience: Accommodating and super nice staff and dentist, I was treated by Dr. Zona he was excellent and helped me as an emergency patient on a Saturday no less! Definitely going back to him!!
