Fantastic experience: Alcovy Dental is an excellent place! The staff is very professional and knowledgeable. They use the latest techniques, and I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Fantastic experience: The friendly and welcoming staff made my first appointment, a pleasant one. My previous dentist office didn’t have an appt available for me until the 18th of December and the drive there is an hour away from Covington. So I was panicking to find me a new provider who could see me right away before my birthday! I searched my in network and local providers and came across this office, said a prayer and hoped for the best! The online website for scheduling a next day appointment is what excited and relieved me. The kiosk for signing the new patients paperwork is very advanced technology! The Christmas decorations and the complementary water refrigerator in the waiting area made me feel at home. Seeing brown ppl in office too is Keep up the excellent work!

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience. All the staff (front desk receptionist, hygienist, and denists. I was allowed to schedule my cleaning and get my cap replaced on the same day.

Positive experience: I was looking for a new dentist and tried Covington Family Dentistry, which is a sister company to Alcovy Family Dentistry. I booked a cleaning but once there I was told I was just having x-rays and an exam of the right side of mouth where I was having discomfort. They said I had to book another appointment for a cleaning. I was frustrated that I was expected to come back for a cleaning so I switched to Alcovy, not realizing they were a sister company. I got there and they explained they would do full xrays, a full exam, and then they would know if they could do a basic cleaning or if they would have to schedule me to come back for a deep cleaning. Frustrated and angry I said I was going to leave and go to another dentist. I was referred to the front desk lady who said all dentist operate this way. Since I've never heard of a "deep cleaning" at my previous dentist I decided to take the chance of having a basic cleaning at Alcovy. They took xrays and measured my gums and bone. A couple teeth scored 4's so they said I needed a deeper cleaning (surprise, surprise). I would have to make a 3rd appointment now and it would be more expensive, which insurance covered. I explained my anger and frustration to the doctor who then checked his schedule and chose to do the cleaning himself while he also did the exam. My past two dentists gave me goggles to wear when using the high pressure water, but not Alcovy. My past cleanings also included flossing and a fluoride treatment but not Alcovy. They are billing my insurance $542! I told them it wasn't my fault their sister company didn't do a full exam or full mouth xrays so I shouldn't have to pay for two exams and neither should insurance. Who knows what the future holds with insurance. The doctor explained he would have been upset too if he experienced what I did. He said I'm not the only one to be frustrated at having to come back for an actual cleaning and said he thought they should change their process to include 1.5 hrs for an initial exam, full xrays, and a cleaning. I agreed. I appreciate the doctor stepping up to clean and exam at the same time. I'm also still frustrated at this mess and having to write this review. This new practice of breaking down cleanings between basic and deep feels like a scam to get more money.

Fantastic experience: Seeking solutions for my toothpain at Alcovy was both beneficial and a pleasure. Each staff member; the receptionist, the hygienist, the dentist and the financial coordinator, all performed their tasks with friendliness, helpfulness, knowledge-in-the field and intention to please their patient in my search for dental treatment. It was my first visit and I am looking forward to my continued relationship with the dentist and other staff members at Alcovy, as this journey continues! Looking forward to experiencing one of "your" root canals, Dr. Elloway! Lol!

Fantastic experience: I’m someone who is terrified of the dentist, like panic attack on the way to, having someone hold my hand, terrified. But the staff made me feel so comfortable, talked me through everything, walked me through. Dr. Long spoke of what he was going to do before he did it, he was so nice and funny, truly the best dentist I’ve been to. Kayley (not sure of the spelling) truly amazing, she was so sweet and so reassuring. Gave me such good advice and helped me feel like I was in a safe space. I highly recommend this dentist to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I love Alcovy, my husband and I both go there. Today I had a root canal ...I can honestly say the worst part was the pinch of the needle. The dentists and the assistants are pleasant. They make it a pleasant experience every time.

Even though my procedure was a little painful, they helped to make the pain manageable.Costs are discussed up front so there are no surprises.

Positive experience: Dr. Hampton corrected the issue!! Thank you!! I will update this if they resolve the issue. Here is my 2nd email to them. I am trying to reach out again and wanted to use this email since I did address my concerns immediately after having the buildups completed. When I came in for my cleaning he told me he would touch up my buildups on my appointment that I had already scheduled for the touchup after being debonded. I had X-rays done that day because I was completely debonded from my braces the day before. I waited a really long time before he was able to get to me and no touch ups were done, just polishing and my bite touched up. I pointed out to him that they were uneven, which I stated in my first email to you, and he explained that the layer was so thin that he couldn't even them up very much without being back to the original. I still had some of the material on the front of one of my teeth even after having him polish down some of the other areas. My orthodontist was not sure why the buildups were not done properly and agree that the dentist should have been more detail oriented instead of leaving me with jagged edges. I did point this out again when I was there and was told crowns would fix that and that this was temporary. First, I reached out to a three other dentist and all three said build ups can last many, many, many years with proper care. My orthodontist said the same thing after I told them what your office told me and being pushed toward crowns. Second, if my buildups can't be done properly then that terrifies me to trust you with crowns. I would like my buildups done properly and this corrected. Staff & the dentist were super kind, but he was very misleading and that is not okay. Please contact me about this issue. I attached pictures of my concerns in the email January 23, to which no one responded. I did get my ortho to send several of my scans to me since they take pictures at many of my visits and have those to compare.

Positive experience: This dentist office is so very friendly. From the very first time until now. I Only been going for a couple of weeks and very pleased with the results so far. The only thing I ask is to use jell numbness before applying the needle.

Negative experience: My first time they didn’t clarify that new patients only get photos of the mouth taken, not an actual cleaning. THEN my second appointment was canceled all because I didn’t confirm due to a number change. I was never told that if I failed to confirm that my appointment would be canceled.

Fantastic experience: A very friendly atmosphere with professional and on time service. . The service rendered were in detail and in simple terms for the patient to understand. The procedure was without pain quite enjoyable I must say.

Positive experience: The service was fine, simply wish they sent the dentist as many appointment reminders as they send me. Waiting in the chair for 30 minutes when he isn't in the building is not ideal.

Negative experience: Customer service seems nice but insurance system is slow. 2nd time rescheduling due to insurance not being verified before scheduled apt ( insurance is active but must be cleared by their office) wanted me to pay cash for my family visits. Definitely need a faster process for insurance. Scheduled my kids an apt with another dentist verified instantly

Fantastic experience: I love this practice. I’ve been a patient since 2018 and every time I’ve had a visit it makes me glad I chose this group when we moved to Covington. The office and treatment areas are nice and modern, the staff and administrative have always been courteous and helpful. They were providers for my insurance when I was working and helped also with my retirement dental care as well. Dr. Hampton and Dr.Siva take excellent care of my dental needs which in getting older have been numerous with filling replacements, crowns, as well working with the oral surgeon when needed. Highly recommend this group!

Negative experience: Being new to the area, I searched for a new dentist and was really impressed with the ratings here, so I made an appointment. My initial cleaning was fine. However, I had some minor filing work to be done and was scheduled to come back. For this 2nd visit I arrived on time and waited and waited, an entire hour goes by. This is not acceptable. I've never had this happen at a dentist in my 40+ years of dental care. I walked out and I'm not going back. Additionally, I learned they are not actually in-network with Delta Dental, so be careful when you ask if they "accept" that insurance. I guess Google review ratings are not always as they seem...

Thank You Julia!❤️ Update (changed from 5 stars to 3) Though I loved the hygienists and the Dentist. Practices from the office staff pushed me to leave. My appointment was cancelled back in June because I couldn’t be reached by phone (I was in the hospital). I received a message early Friday morning (out of hospital by then) before my Monday’s appointment that it was cancelled. Also by the way phone number that comes up on caller ID at that time did not show “Alcovy Family and Cosmetic Dentistry”. I called right after the call and the person that answered the phone said my appointment probably was already taken. She kept me on hold for a long time never came back. I hung up called back only for someone to tell me I can get my appointment back. I didn’t take it because I was upset how everything happened. I told them to cancel all 5 of my families appointments cleanings and filings. I asked for records but only could get pictures of my families teeth that was taken. The office staff didn’t show empathy, didn’t not try to retain me as a patient or that they cared about me leaving. This is the staff that was there in June don’t know if they are still there. This will not be the first time front office staff spoiled my experience and caused me not to want to patronize a business. I see where other comments mention the office staff. The dentist there is so nice I hope he tighten up his front office.

Negative experience: My appointment today was good as far as the dental care I received. However, the office people there need improvements in their people skills and general office practices. They had me wait 15 mins after I was finished for no reason. Also, they don’t answer the phone. The dental staff deserves a better run office.

Negative experience: Had a tooth pulled this afternoon and was sent home without any pain meds that they said they would call in. As office meds wore off became incredibly painful and swollen. Called twice to ask them to call the some meds in because of extreme pain and never heard back from either on call doctor. Will not be returning.

Negative experience: They haven’t been able to keep a dentist. On my last visit the dental hygienist told the newest temporary dentist that my wisdom tooth needed to be removed, the dentist taped on my tooth and wrote me up a order to have it removed by someone else. Then the hygienist suggested that I have the top and bottom teeth removed. That’s not even the tooth that was hurting me. Fixing to (getting ready to) for the non southern folks, find a new dentist !!!

Negative experience: It was a disaster. Would not do my scheduled cleaning because I did not have a doctor's release. It would have helped if they told me I needed a release. Everything has changed and not for the better. Communication is lacking.

Fantastic experience: From the first call and speaking with the front office, I knew this was the right place. The workers here are so friendly and genuine. Dr. Hampton is very personable and helpful. I was very thankful that they had the medication that I needed in office, so I did not have to go to the pharmacy after my appointment. I fully recommend this practice!

Fantastic experience: Great experience. Went in with tooth pain following a root canal done by another provider. They filed down my crowns and corrected my bite and it immediately felt better. Going back to them for a filling for a tooth that the other dentist wanted to put a crown on and talked about it needing extensive work. I feel like Alcovy Dental is not just out to make a bunch of money off me but actually wants to just provide good solid dental care.

Fantastic experience: After almost 10 years with this crew, I still can say I’ve never had a better dentist or staff. These folks are incredible and professional and all around make going to the dentist a real pleasure… Well, except when it hurts. I’ve had significant work done, as well as just the routine stuff we all need to keep up with. Dr Hampton, Dr Siva, and each member of the staff make it all so easy and I couldn’t possibly be more happy. Aside from Dr. Hampton’s occasional singing rock-n-roll while he’s working, I’d say it’s the best dental experience I’ve ever had. And his singin ain’t that bad You will not regret making this your first and last stop in a search for a dentist. P.S., I’m still trying to get them to put a Margarita machine in the lobby. Gotta be a win-win.

Fantastic experience: Emily cleaned my teeth and did a wonderful job. Probably the most attentive cleaning I have had. I have been going to Alcovy for years and the dentists do a great job. The best overall dental experience of any of the places I have been to.

Positive experience: I appreciate the opportunity to leave a honest review. It was my first time coming to this office and I must say decore, cleanliness and most staff seemed wonderful upon first entry. I came in defeated but hopeful by being rescheduled 3 times at a previous location with no connections to this one by the way. I called this place this morning and they took me in same day awesome! I truly appreciated that I was pulled back extremely fast and I loved that fact. The young lady who did my xray was pleasant and made me feel very comfortable as I was sitting and experiencing extreme pain. I saw the dentist I think he took a look in my mouth tapped the tooth that was in pain with something metal and stated I needed amoxicillan and motrin and sent me on my way to get paper work from front. Again this would be now the 4th time I'm being handed the same amoxicillan to take and wait to see a orthodonics within a month and a half span. I guess they stocking me up because they know the run around is about to commence. By this point I'm still in visible pain and full of just feeling like why do I have to keep wasting my time with this same issue over and over I work in Healthcare myself and it is hard to get days off so I'm in pain and missing money from doing the job that make me happy the issue is still here. I returned to front and was asked was I done by the previous staff member that checked me with the beautiful tattoos by the way. I stated I guess so I was told to come to the front. I'm new here so I really don't know the routine so she got up and asked another young lady which was much appreciated and I sat down cause I could here the staff she asked about me say she will print the ref and rx's and to have a seat. So I did just that, I sat down and began to pray that God give me the strength to get through this pain. I got back up and stated excuse me and before I could say anything I felt as if the front office staff was irritated because she immediately stated have a seat she will let you know! I didn't even get a chance to ask the question that's a big negative for me. It's customer service one on one so I said I was asking if I would receive a copy of my xrays since I'm being referred out for the first time from you all and the technically the 4th for me I don't want anything else to hold me up from making the next steps smooth as possible. So if you just would have allowed me the patient to ask my question first especially when they are visibly in pain from simply opening my mouth to talk, I'm sure that patient would feel like they matter even if you really dont care deep down but if u dont maybe this profession is no longer for you. Burnt out is real! I was aware of the look you gave to your co worker and what you wispered to her as well the one that was sitting out of my view next to you with the curly hair as if I said something wrong. I just wanted you to know judging your customers and or displaying such complete disregard for your patients concerns damage your owners business and the hurt patients feelings and or cause them become aggressive. I just pray you don't do that to someone else because it don't feel nice and you never know peoples mental status or the way they react to your actions. The point is you are suppose to be the professional IN THE PROFESSIONAL setting do better! IM A NURSE TOO DEALING WITH DIRECT PATIENT CARE SO RESPECTFULLY DO BETTER. when patients are in pain they are in a more vulnerable state. ITS usually the time they need a little more compassion. Disrespect and respect are both earned. Perception is everything. Practice treating others how u want to be treated and no I do not believe customers are always right but I left feeling In pain and dismissed and I was never rude to you. I would still recommend this place overall this was my experience it may not be yours. I'm not mad at the young lady who made me feel like she could care less about my concerns because I work with nurses like this all day long so it is what it is. No hard feelings just wanted to tell my full experience

Fantastic experience: Julia was great! I gave her a hard time at first because it’s been hard to find a good dentist office. She still took care of me and took the time to walk me through everything. I even scheduled a follow up. Then the filling man was nice too. The front desk was great.

Fantastic experience: I have been with Alcovy Dental for over 3 years. And the service is wonderful. The staff is always friendly and organized and Dr. Travesty truly cares about his patients. He goes above and beyond to offer great care. I highly recommend this dentist to everyone. I drive over 15 miles and over three county lines to get there so Yes it is the Best!***Update*** It's 2024 seven years since being a patient at Alcovey and I have no regrets. I had my crown come loose and they handle it with excellent customer service and efficiency. Dr. Travis Hampton is still the best with his dental expertise.

These people go above and beyond what is expected. They are ALWAYS polite and professional. The office is warm, inviting and most importantly clean. Fantastic experience: This is one of the best dentist I have ever been to! I like the way Julia And Dr. Siva explained everything to me. The equipment is more modern than what I’ve been used to. They were really through with everything and that is what we need! I absolutely love it here! They took their time instead of rushing through everything! They will set up a dental plan and get me back on track! It’s great! I love it here and can’t wait to come back‼️❤️

Great service and they were clear on procedures, pricing, needs and options. Julia is wonderful and good at explaining what steps and exams were happening and needed. Fantastic experience: Love thisnplace. Staff is always pleasant, friendly, and engaging. Every hygienist I have had clean my teeth, professional, light handed, and personable. Dr. Hampton is great, friendly, and listens to any concerns. The environment is professional, clean and wait times are very minimal, if there are any wait times. Definitely recommend this practice.
