Negative experience: Dirty, dingy and unprofessional. The doctor has such a nice profile picture but is the complete opposite in person. I went there once and never been back since.

Negative experience: do not allow them to do any services until you confirm what your insurance covers!! i waited over an hour even though i had an appointment and sat in a chair for almost twenty minutes without a single doctor seeing me

Fantastic experience: My son had his wisdom teeth removed. He was scared beforehand, but the doctor's calm and trustworthy explanation put him at ease. The entire staff was friendly, and we felt safe throughout the process.

Negative experience: DO NOT COME HERE‼️‼️‼️ if I could give 0 stars I would. They will charge you but will not explain anything until after you waste your money. So if you want to save your money and time go somewhere else

Fantastic experience: I was very scared to get my wisdom tooth extracted. The staff were great and very calming, as was, of course, Dr. Datson. The entire procedure was quick, painless, and efficient. This is my second extraction at this oral surgeon and I cannot recommend the office enough!

Negative experience: BEWARE - THEY ASK YOU TO POST A POSITIVE REVIEW BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE EXAM CHAIR AND WILL EVEN CHECK TO MAKE SURE YOU'VE DONE SO. I would avoid this place (BK office) if possible; I've had the most frustrating experience, now spanning 4 months of back and forth. To summarize, I had a procedure done in April that is fully covered by my insurance. They made me PAY OUT OF POCKET and ensured me they would submit a claim to my insurance so I can be reimbursed if it is covered. I followed up with them for at least 2 months NUMEROUS times regarding the claim - they said they sent it out via mail but my insurance told me they never received anything. I also have access to my insurance patient portal and was able to see no claim was filed. I have emails and letters as proof. When I reached out with info from my insurance stating they didn't receive anything and that claims can be submitted online by the dental office, lo and behold - a few days later, a claim (with the wrong procedure date no less) popped up under my name on the website. However an OLD PROCEDURE CODE was used and when I reached out ONCE AGAIN telling them that MY INSURANCE CONFIRMED THEY WERE USING AN OLD CODE, I got the runaround that it is the right code and if the doctor doesn't want to change it, there's nothing they can do. I was even told I should've denied receiving the procedure if I couldn't afford it. At this point, it wasn't even about being reimbursed; it's the principal. I had no issue paying for it but NO patient should have to chase a dental office to do their job - at the end of the day, I WASN'T SUPPOSED TO PAY. I fear for any patient who doesn't know their rights and/or full benefits and can be duped by this office - thankfully, I work in billing and their lack of knowing that was their biggest mistake. Please weed through the reviews - there are others who have stated they will make you pay out of pocket for things that are covered by insurance. 1 star for the procedure being quick and his kind medical assistant despite the lack of post op instructions.

Negative experience: the fact that they don’t take Medicaid is ridiculous being that the location of the office it’s in a low income area it’s a discriminatory practice and should be investigated!

Fantastic experience: First off stating the obvious, the appearance is a bit dinky. The neighborhood as well as appearance of the entrance, waiting room, and 1 operating room I was in was dinky. But I was moved to a better looking one. Make sure you ask for a room with a window, you’ll feel better seeing some sunlight. Aside from that, everyone was very courteous during my procedure and overall visit. Susan at the front desk was very pleasant, Marie who does your X-rays was also friendly, and Toya the assistant who is in the room during the procedure. All very courteous which made my visit more pleasant, because I was on the fence after arriving. Never having any oral problems until needing my wisdom teeth pulled, I was terrified of having any form of surgery. But Dr. Datson explained the procedure to me. And I was sedated with an IV in my hand, and also numbing injections in my mouth. All the videos I’ve seen of wisdom teeth removals were of people receiving laughing gas and going to sleep. Which is what I expected, so I was sad about that. But I barely felt anything except the pressure of the tooth being pulled. Nonetheless, it was a terrifying experience for me personally being how scared I was. I believe the surgery was done within 30 mins, and I felt better around day 4 following the procedure. Just follow the after care instructions and you’ll be good. Also, even though you have insurance, you will need to pay for your X-rays out of pocket, it costs $150. You will need to pay before the X-rays are done, so plan your visit accordingly. Note; they also have a Manhattan location, which I definitely prefer.

Fantastic experience: Everyone was very kind and the doctor made sure he explained everything to me before the extraction. The extraction itself was quick and painless and you are given instructions to make sure your recovery goes well. The wait time wasn't long either.

NOT TO MENTION EVEN WHEN YOUR INSURANCE COVERS EVERYTHING THEY STILL WANT YOU TO PAY OUTTA POCKET

Negative experience: Place is very old and outdated. The X-Ray machine did not work and I had to go next door to get it taken. The chair was also malfunctioning and I had to switch rooms twice. I went in for two wisdom tooth extractions and a root canal and instead of taking out the 2 teeth and doing the root canal, he just removed all 3 of my teeth. I was very upset because I did not ask him to do that. The staff were nice but not very professional in my opinion. I was pressured to leave a review and give it 5 stars before I even received my procedure. Which is why I am editing it now to this. I am in so much pain which of course I would be, but almost immediately after I received the procedure I am in pain. They definitely did not give me enough pain meds. Also the elevator is out of order and you have to climb A LOT of steps to get to the office. I would not recommend this place at all.

Fantastic experience: I am an LPN and currently in school for my RN. I am scared of dentist. I had to do wisdom extraction procedure by a surgeon at this place chooses randomly because of good reviews. I received the best care possible in this place. Usually, i don’t do reviews . I don’t get any special prize to do reviews either. But believe it or not i got 3 wisdom teeth extractions in less than 15 mn Free of pain. I hade this procedure elsewhere before and i know what pain feels like.The staff are very nice and kind. The doctor as a professional he does know how to make connection with his patients because being able to create great interactions with your patient is important. Being able to also put your patient at ease, communicate with open ended questions, able to listen without making them feel like they are just the « NEXT » called IN, is pricelessWe don’t need caregiver that just give care because that’s what they do but we need caregiver that willing to share compassion and empathy and what he does. The staff are very nice and focus on their duty . If you have any type of oral surgery go there. You health matter.

Negative experience: A hurry type procedure + the wait time is hectic. Recommend that a personal goes to sleep before doing any extraction than just doing the gum injection for no pain.

Fantastic experience: The doctor moves quickly, but he is also knowledgeable and effective. When my tooth was pulled, I felt no needle or pain. There is no pain!!! Of course, there was some soreness as a result of the treatment, but no problems. The office personnel is also courteous!

However be aware of scanning the QR code, unbeknown to me, my cell was used by one of the Aide and she scan the QR code and gave 5 star rating...If your review was, " The service was good" 5 starts, that was probably done by one of the staff; Also i went in for issue with my gums thats causing discomfort; The Surgeon mention other things he found, not what i came there for, and he didnt even prescribe or suggest anything for the pain i was having. Paid $81 just for all of this.
