With somewhat of an emergency and over 500 miles from home, Cornerstone staff did everything they could to help, fitting me in the next day to reattach a crown that had come off. From the front desk all the way to the back, it was a pleasant experience. I’ve already recommended them to someone in this area who needs to establish with a new dentist. Dr D was fantastic.

Fantastic experience: I was seen by Dr. Ott yesterday for a consultation for restorative dental care and she was excellent with her explanation of what she could offer and what she could not provide, which I appreciate greatly. I have been “ shopping” for the best possible solution and the best price for my dental work because restorative dentistry is quite expensive. She is the only professional of four, who has given me various scenarios of care that fit my need for a fixed implant with a gradual restoration, which could save some of my natural teeth. Her demeanor and ease with her approach appeared honest with a regard for my cost and value of aesthetics and health. I feel comfortable with her and hopefully my search is done and I can get my smile back again.

Fantastic experience: I have had nothing but great experiences with cornerstone dental group. When I first came in I hadn’t seen a dentist in 5 years because of previous bad experiences elsewhere and overall fear. Dr.Ott and all of the dental tech team I have met with have been friendly and comforting. Their space is clean and really pretty and bright natural light so it doesn’t feel cold. The biggest sign they’re amazing - I’ve kept my reoccurring 6 month visits up thanks to their affordable private pay subscription plan.

Fantastic experience: My lifelong dentist retired several years ago. I have been getting my teeth cleaned every six months by numerous dentist and this by far is my favorite. Being a new patient, this was the best experience I’ve had in a dentist office in very long time. The equipment is state of the art and very clean and sanitary. My hygienist was professional, knowledgeable, friendly and did a wonderful job cleaning my teeth. My dentist was also professional, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to meet. Everything was lovely!

Jane (hygienist) took very good care of me. I trust her wisdom and advice on how best to care for my teeth and mouth. She is very confident and she made me feel comfortable. Great job of cleaning my teeth, I didn’t have to wait, billing was easy to understand, the ladies in the office are great and welcoming, doctors care for their patients…great experience.

Negative experience: If you look the reviews you will see a pattern that most of the bad reviews are about their billing practices. I thought I was going for a regular cleaning but without any consultation or my consent about treatment, they put them through the insurance as perio maintenance. In two visits I have spent more than I would have in 5 years at my previous dentist before I moved here. I was never charged perio for cleanings before and I don’t think moving from Michigan made my gums suddenly worse. I spoke to someone who said she would look into and call me back. Of course, no call back. Anyone know a good dentist? I won’t be going back to Cornerstone.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Ott is the BEST dentist. She's very gentle and she cares about her patients.My hygienist Mary Ann is great! Everyone who works there are so helpful. Ms. Linda is excellent at what she does . I appreciate all that she's done for me. I hugely recommend this office.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Cornerstone Dental Group for more than 15 years. Now I live 30 minutes away but still commute for my bi-annual visits. The people are friendly, organized, and professional.

Negative experience: I’ve had 4 appointments with this company. For 3 of those visits, they have sent me a follow up bill, basically charging me more than they originally quoted me. This last time was the final straw so I called them and asked for an explanation. I spoke with Jess and she basically said it was my insurance’s fault - which didn’t make sense so I probed a bit further. I asked why it would be difficult to have an accurate estimate for a cavity filling (which presumably they do all the time) for a patient with Cigna insurance (one of the 10 largest health insurance providers in the country. Jess responded that they don’t do cavity estimates very often - which completely caught me off guard because I would imagine that a dental office fixes plenty of cavities each year (and thus, provides price estimates for those procedures. Anyway, I paid the extra amount that they charged me and told them to cancel any upcoming appointments I had. The search for a new dental provider begins - I will go out of my way to tell everyone I know to avoid this place at all costs and you should too!

Fantastic experience: I am an absolute basket case at the dentist. It's a completely irrational fear from a prior bad experience (not at Cornerstone). I usually have to bribe myself to go. Jane has cleaned my teeth twice and I didn't even need my typical shopping spree at Rookwood afterward. Jane, you're a hero!

One intake staff person is not very kind or helpful, which is why only four stars—she’s still there and I think people need to know what to expect. Fantastic experience: I had a semi annual visit this week at Cornerstone. I had the pleasure and luck ti have my teeth cleaned and evaluated by Jane a newish dental hygienist. Wow. All I can say is that she has a gentle bu firm touch and really took care if my mouth and teeth. I also saw Dr. Angela Ott who always makes sure to check the health of my tongue (botg sides) as well as my teeth and gums for the bog picture of my oral healtlh. I have been a patient for more than 36 years and the care continues to improve!

The actual dentist did not stay with me nearly long enough to establish a patient to doctor relationship to feel comfortable with what he was referring me for. The dental hygienist did great at reassuring me of my concerns as to what the outcome could be but I wasn’t sure if medical advice was in her scope. I appreciated all she did though.

Negative experience: My sister had a horrible experience with the front desk. She has been going there for over 40 years and for some reason she was denied dental care. Would not even honor her standing appointment.

Negative experience: Do NOT book your appointment here! I am writing after several bad experiences with this dental group. I went in a few years ago to get a fake tooth made and paid nearly $1200. It was uncomfortable to chew with and the tooth underneath was very sensitive. I could feel a gap that was not properly sealed where liquid was seeping into. Within a couple months the fake tooth fell off and I had to go back to get it reattached. Although they said they would fix it without charge, they proceeded to try and send me a bill anyway. Fast forward to today, the fake tooth fell off for a second time. I do not recommend Dr. Angela Ott, and I will never step foot in cornerstone dental again. Since I first visited, all they have done is create more problems with my dental health. At my own expense. I hope they take their practice more seriously when it comes to being responsible for others health.

He gave me the information and options I need to make an informed decision moving forward. They were also very quick to fit me into their busy day. Negative experience: Have had many issues with the front desk staff belittling me for small mistakes I have made. I brought my paperwork printed out my first visit and was laughed at by most of the desk staff. They have been unwelcoming and unkind at every visit. I am officially switching dentists after my recent experience because I apparently had mistakenly switched a number when typing my phone number in during intake and was not able to confirm my appointment in time. They cancelled my appointment due to not confirming online and hostilely told me this was all my fault and I couldn’t not get in for another 8 months. No apologies, no willingness to cooperate, and overall rude and belittling. I understand it was my fault that the number was incorrect but I have never heard of an office cancelling your appointment if you do not confirm it in time. ( I did 3 days prior over email but I guess that wasn’t soon enough) All this has been incredibly upsetting because the check-out staff and dentists themselves are very nice and helpful. This only applies to the check-in staff. As someone who works the exact same job at a different medical office, you need to do better.

Fantastic experience: As someone who is embarrassed by their smile due to missing teeth, I always fear seeing a new dentist and being judged. Dr. Dowty did no such thing. I’ve only seen him twice as I’m new to the area but he was friendly and I felt no judgement. The office staff were also friendly and helpful. It never takes long to be seen and I felt heard both times I saw Dr Dowty.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Cornerstone Dental! I’ve always dreaded going to the dentist (let’s be honest, I still do) but Cornerstone helps ease the fear. Dr. Ott is the first dentist I’ve genuinely trusted. She’s personable, patient, and professional. The hygienists are super nice and the front desk staff are extremely kind and helpful, too!

Negative experience: Dr. Ott was super nice but the office administration uses unclear billing practices such as allowing you to see a hygienist or doctor who is not covered by your insurance without telling you first, then relying on the financial responsibility form you sign as a patient instead of working with you to resolve the payment issue. They sent me to collections for the bill, which doubled the amount of the initial visit cost. It wasn’t until I talked to my insurance that I discovered that I had seen a hygienist/doctor who wasn’t covered by my insurance, even though I was not informed that they were not covered prior to my receiving their services. It’s a shame that their lack of transparency ended up costing me double what the visit cost and I had to resolve the issue with a collection agency.

Fantastic experience: Had permanent crown "installed" . No Pain and was completed amazingly fast. Staff had to "squeeze me in" since the new crown was ready and my original appointment was cancelled. Dr. OTT and assistant did a great job.

Positive experience: The staff and everyone is very nice. Had several techs and the dentist remember that I had a baby a few months before my appointment and ask about said baby. Did have a tooth chip and they fixed it, but had to have it redone several months later because it didn’t last. That is the reason I’m giving 4 stars.
