It's the holiday so the rooms are decorated which made me joyful and smiley. My teeth are clean, healthy and feel great! An exceptional team, very friendly and professional. Fantastic experience: We have been going here over a year and it is always a warm, caring, and conscientious atmosphere. The facility is beautiful and well though out. Kids have the option of shows to watch, with headphones, while getting teeth cleaned. I typically opt out of shows since I enjoy talking to the staff. My person is Morgan and she is great with me and with my kids. Dr Temi goes out of her way everytime we have been there to take care of us and our kids in the chaos of getting 5 people taken care of at the same time. I have had a lot of dental work in my past and have had 2 crowns done here. It is good work and done same day which is very nice. I have even popped in for a quick sharp spot I noticed days later with a very quick resolve. I highly recommend if looking for a dentist to come to 161 Dental Studio. Best dental experience I have had in my 40 years.

Fantastic experience: My husband FINALLY went to the dentist!!!! Now mind you he dreads going to the dentist, after a bad past experience in his teenage years. Long Story, he bites down on a drill. NOW fast forward to 2024, his tooth is broken and is causing A LOT of pain. Taking TOO much pain pills. In pain. face swollen, can't eat, can't drink. 24/7 pain. I finally had enough and said, I AM CALLING, DR. TEMI and you are going to the dentist. He was nervous but was in enough pain, that he just wanted the tooth out and pain eliminated. He was tough to numb, but Dr. Temi numbed him up good and started to town. I think he slipped into the "upside down world" for a moment. LOL!! Time past, tooth was out, and he was NOT in his normal pain. He was gifted his tooth and actually hugged Dr. Temi and said thank you. Guess what he said. I WILL BE BACK!! You have our family for LIFE!! Now it is MY TURN!! Thank you, Dr. Temi and the 161 Dentist Studio staff, for your amazing customer service skills. Enjoying Dentistry to the fullest and it shows. Fantastic experience: I’m someone who dealt with a lot of dental fear bc of past experiences in dental offices. I started going to 161 dental almost 4 years ago and they have completely changed my anxiety and fears around dental work. I started taking my daughter around 3 and she is now 7. My 3 year old has been going since he was 2 and they both love the whole office. From the TV’s mounted to the ceiling to watch their favorite shows while getting serviced to the blankets and goodie bags. I am also able to schedule appointments and get the 3 of us in and out. The staff is amazing with kids. So much so that now my kids go into their own rooms with zero hiccups which makes appointments a breeze.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Temi and her staff are amazing professionals, and I feel blessed to have stumbled across her practice. I’ve been a patient for nearly three years. The office is posh and very clean. They offer beverages in the waiting room. Each patient room has a tv you can watch (Hulu, Netflix, etc) during your cleaning with headphones. They also offer pillows and blankets for the upmost comfort. I have had a number of procedures (cleanings, fillings, root canal with crown, and a dental implant). Dr. Temi always calls or texts to check on me—which is something I’ve never experienced before elsewhere…even with major surgeries. Anyhow, I don’t think I could say enough nice things about 161 Dental. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I was looking for a black-owned dentist that my mother and I could go to for our dental needs. A Google search led us to 161 Dental Studio. We lived our first visit. The location was nice and the staff were very friendly and professional. They took the time to converse with us and thoroughly go over our exam, point out issues with our teeth and recommend solutions. The front desk had estimates if the costs for the needed work before we left and took the time to discuss all options with us. The owner of the shop also took the time to come in, go over our exam and explain what needed to be done! The staff took the time to ask us personal questions to get to know us better! Also, while they are cleaning your teeth, there are tv’s in the ceiling and you have the option to watch something on Netflix or Hulu! Nice atmosphere! Give them a try!

Fantastic experience: …..there aren’t enough Emojis to express my LOVE & LOYALTY and how IMPRESSED I AM with 161 Dental Studio!!!! The second I opened (literally) the door I was immediately at ease and I had not even approached the Front Desk…….❤️❤️❤️❤️ I felt that I needed to refresh my bank account to make sure I was at the correct Dentist!!!! I was immediately welcomed i didn’t even give my name and The Angels at the Front desk knew exactly who I was! Next thing I knew I was deciding what I wanted to watch on HULU or NETFLIX….exactly, I was asked what would you like to Enjoy HULU OR NETFLIX….as if they knew I been wanting to finish where I left off on OR been wanting to see a movie that wa only available on that one one streaming service that I didn’t havefor real for real!!! My Hygienist. I believe is a long lost family member because she knew Exactly what I needed from comfort, answers to my questions and why our Yorkies are so Dramatic ❤️❤️! Dr. B. Waters I swear is my “Mommy” from another life….she got to know me before we even discussed why I was even sitting in the chair!!!!! Again, she got to know me before we discussed anything about my lack of pearly whites!!!! Dr. B. Waters was honest with me and still allowed me to decide what I NEEDED to do to correct my lack of care for my 32’s !!!! I felt supported!!!!!! Fast forward to the money/insurance side I was given my quote for future services and also made aware that this or that may change due to other services I may need…..that allowed me grace to understand I cost my be less or more than quoted, the transparency was appreciated, I think I may have gotten on “ Marnie’s” nerves with MY calls because I wanted to make sure I did what I needed to do to accomplish WHAT I KNOW I NEEDED FOR THE SMILE I was looking for ….let me just say “ 161 Dental is upfront, honest and give you TIME!!! Negative experience: Beware !!!! these folks will try to upsell you every visit. Be particularly wary of a deep gum clean. They recommend that to everyone. I’ve gone to the dentist twice a year for 60 years with nothing but good check up and reviews. My wife also all of a sudden needed the same procedure . This is simply their way of getting extra $

Positive experience: Overall, it was a very positive experience as a new patient here especially for those who are not the most fond of visiting the dentist. I cannot speak more highly of my dental hygienist, Laxmi. The dentist after the cleaning seemed about half way out the door while checking in which I understand the patient to dentist ratio isn’t the most the manageable most times. I ended up doing the sealant which I didn’t necessarily want to do, but Laxmi was great and I figured she’d get some time of commission or recognition from her boss for adding on that additional service. The sealant ending up all over my lips though which led to a burning sensation and at the time of making this I wanted to wait a full 24 hours to give honest feedback and it made my lips extremely chapped and started to peel and i can still taste the citrus like chemical almost on my lips. After this the dentist did check back in and ask how it was which i told her and she did appear more genuine invested in the well being how my lips were doing. I would still give this office a strong recommendation to those looking for a new dental practice.

Fantastic experience: They made sure I felt nothing but comfort during my visit! Laxmi did an amazing job with my x-rays and cleaning. She was very gentle, and always explained what she was going to do before she did it. Dr. Temi was vivacious and welcoming! I've already recommended 161 Dental to several of my friends :) Update after getting a couple of fillings: I went in for my appointment on the tail end of a migraine. All of the staff did their best to make me comfortable. I was given applesauce and they turned the lights off to help me. The procedure took less than 30 minutes and I didn't feel a thing! Dr. Temi and team were fantastic.

Fantastic experience: I broke one of my crowns last night and Dr. Temi and her amazing staff got me in right away today…not to mention, I left with a brand new crown! Jaime warmly greeted me, Aryahna painlessly numbed me, Queonna and Stacey had the BEST bedside manner during the entire appointment, and Dr. Temi was absolutely amazing with her caring and bubbly personality which made me feel completely comfortable during the entire procedure. Negative experience: The owner of this business does not take feedback well at all. The moment you raise any concerns, it’s clear she can’t handle criticism without it affecting her ego. She will go so far as to personally call you, not to resolve the issue, but to argue about why her business deserves a five-star rating. She will interrupt you throughout the conversation, and if you try to ask her to stop, she’ll condescendingly remind you that she’s older, as if that somehow validates her behavior. Additionally, she admitted to taking her employees’ side without investigating complaints. If her staff reports an issue with a patient, she won’t bother to look into it and will automatically side with them. If you visit, be aware that any disagreement over pricing or services could lead to you being labeled “difficult” or “rude,” and potentially even banned. It’s shocking to me that simply standing up for yourself could result in being dismissed as a customer. I’ve never worked in a place where pushback alone led to someone being written off.

Negative experience: **update** I would give zero stars if Google allowed. After this review, the owner of the practice called me almost right away, asking if I wanted to leave the practice because she didn’t feel the review accurately reflects her practice when I was simply documenting my experience. She cut me off several times throughout the call and eventually I spoke up about that and told her she was not catching my verbal cues that she keeps cutting me off, to which she responded that she’s “actually older than me sooo” At that point I ended the call and told her I would be present for my two appointments in September. They quoted me one price and had me sign off on it & said it was based off my insurance and then after my first appointment in September, they told me that actually it was going to be a lot more money and they actually didn’t get the exact insurance numbers. Throughout all my encounters with them, I expressed how certain situations makes me feel. I provide constructive criticism or feedback. It seems the owner isn’t used to someone who gives pushback and ask questions and is constantly advocating for themselves. Today the owner dismissed me from the practice and says that I’m rude to her and her employees. I have never been rude or raised my voice but have always provided feedback and expressed dissatisfaction if necessary. She also admitted to favoritism when it comes to the employees, so I obviously have no chance at defending myself. She is sadly mistaken if she thinks people are always going to be satisfied and not speak up for themselves. The owner dismissed me out of clear retaliation since I documented my first experience back in July. *original review from August* Overall, the employees are pleasant and professional. They offer you a blanket and different streaming services during your service. However, the capability of providing the service is more important than aesthetics. My husband and I began at the office in July and I made them aware of needing a deep cleaning and they made me aware of some cavities. The initial appointment was just a regular cleaning and evaluation but they are unable to get me back in for the deep cleaning and cavities for two months! That's unreasonable. My teeth will continue to get worse as time goes on. They put me on the cancellation list but it's been a month and they still aren't able to get me in sooner. I feel I am a pretty reasonable person but I imagine the fact that they only have 2 doctors and are only open 4 days a week isn't helping their availability. After my hygienist did my cleaning, I had to wait an extended period of time for the dentist to come in and look at my teeth and that's when they told me about the cavities. I also don't like how there is an opening in the wall between patients and I have to hear the entire conversation of the patient in the next room. Lastly, our last dentist office covered the cost of our visits every 3 months, this location does not and now we are stuck with an unexpected bill of almost $100.

Fantastic experience: The staff were friendly. My hygienist was amazing and made me feel comfortable for a person who has major anxiety about dentistry. My dentist was wonderful, approachable and spoke about plans that met my needs. Definitely will be a loyal patient to this practice.

It makes you feel seen and welcomed! In addition to that, there is NEVER an extensive wait time! Fantastic experience: My son and I were recently seen as new patients. The office staff were nice and helpful. Dr Adesanya was professional and made sure to explain everything from A-Z about my treatment and options. I loved atmosphere, they really made you feel welcomed and comfortable. I especially loved the added touch of our names being displayed on the screen in our room. I feel good that I made the choice to come this practice for my dental needs.
