Fantastic experience: I'm always happy with Megan's work, she is always friendly and good at her work. I also enjoy Dr Cummings work attention to details.

Negative experience: I was going for what I thought was my cleaning. Instead they took a bazillion unnecessary Xrays. They started off with the panoramic one where you stand. Then did the typical ones where put it in your mouth and then you have to bite down. They did that like 20 times. Then they used a pen like thing where she was clicking pictures of my teeth . Then after that they did a 3d tray of my teeth. After all that the dentist came in and did the 1,2,3,2,3,4 thing. Then goes in to tell me I need three crowns and a night guard. Never ever have I been told I need a nightmare or crowns in my life. The dentist was also pushy and wanting to start the molding of the crown right then and there. Thats where I found out I wasnt going to be getting my cleaning only because I asked about it. Then I asked about the cost and then the billing guy came in with a print out of what everything was going to be. Which totaled 3500 dollars. I said I'm not paying that. Found d out they are a chain and have to meet monthly quotas. So they were trying to as much money from me as they could. I will being going to a different dentist for a second opinion. So if you choose to go there just be prepared for them to tell you that you need unnecessary things done and they just want your money which is why she wanted to get started n the crowns because she had me in their and she thought I was just going to agree. She had time to do that but not my cleaning

Fantastic experience: I went there 3 years ago. I was apprehensive due to the poor care I got from the last dental office . From the moment I spoke to one of their staff I felt assured they would take care of me and answer any questions I had. I arrived at my appointment and was greeted by smiling faces behind the desk each acknowledging me and offering a warm welcome. They explained I would fill out paperwork and then go with a dental tech back to get some X-rays of my teeth and then the Dr, Tabatha Cummings, would visit with me and answer any questions or concerns. The office is beautiful, I was assigned to my own room where a nurse got me all set up to meet with the Dr. The nurse asked me if I would like some water or anything to drink. She showed me on a screen in my room pictures of my teeth and the condition of each. Everyone there is so nice and more than happy to stop and answer any questions. Dr Cummings then came in and spoke with me. She was so professional. This lady knows her stuff and I am proud to be her patient. This dental office will go out of their way to try to get you the outcome you are looking for with your teeth/ denture/ cleanings,as well as advised what you should do to start out then gradually will again give you her opinion of what comes next. I totally trust her and her nurses and the whole staff with my plan of care. I cannot go through getting dentures, my husband got some, my daughter got some and after going thru getting used to them, I want to keep as many teeth as I can and Dr Cummings will see to it that my plan of care is implemented by my participation. Everyone is great there! Plus you're right there by the I 49 and don't have to drive far. They're the BEST! You can also discuss payment options and see what's best. They are willing to work with you.

Fantastic experience: All of the staff are so welcome and personable! Dr. Cummings is such a supportive, encouraging person to have in your corner. All the treatment plans and estimates are throughly explained without any rushing. I’ve never had a bad experience and coming here has helped me with over coming my dental visit anxieties. 10/10 recommend!

Fantastic experience: As usual, I had great care from the moment I walked in the door. All the staff greeted me with smiles on their faces and already had my chart pulled up. Dr. Florez-DDS , I feel he is very knowledgeable and competent. He diagnoses quickly, and likes to teach the patient. The staff member with me ,(Lauri),was great and caring . ...... so I feel I really lucked out- Dr. Florez-DDS was a referral from someone. ........How awesome is that !!!

Fantastic experience: Extremely professional service and technically top-notch!!!. Kristin spent 60 minutes cleaning my teeth, taking multiple X-Ray views and cleaning hardened plaque from my internal brace. Dr. Cummings reviewed a challenging set of X-Rays to make her diagnosis. Staff was courteous and followed-up with me several times to ensure I made my first appointment in-time to complete the necessary paperwork. Coordination with insurance prior to my appointment ensured procedures were covered by insurance. Outstanding

Positive experience: The dental work seems fine, aside from one crown thats getting fixed free of charge. I was not initially notified about the potential of my payment plan being sent to a debt collector if not paid out a specific way, only let known on my last visit (which was maybe 5 or 6 at this office for me?) I was told whatever I could pay whenever would be fine and had no indication of consequences until the more senior finance person on the team told me. I'm glad he did, but it feels like I was a little misled. Doesn't exactly make me feel less anxious about going to the dentist knowing that I could just be blindsided by policies like that. Everyone seems nice and understanding, just humans trying to work out the kinks of their system like anyone else. Just make sure to double check about your payment plans if you are not as fiscally knowledgable like I am, some staff don't have up to date training it seems.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Carly Stewart is the kindest, most caring and knowledgeable dentist I have ever met. She did an excellent job preparing me for a crown on a tooth that cracked. She and her assistant Dalton explained everything very well before they did it and were very skilled and worked with great precision making the procedure as simple and painless as possible. I truly appreciate their compassion and dedication to making my experience wonderful!

Fantastic experience: I went in for a broken tooth, fearing that I would need a root canal. I saw a doctor that wasn’t my normal doctor. The doctor did an excellent job in which I did not need a root canal, just a crown! They did a great job being understanding with my anxiety and put me at ease.

Everyone at the office is nice and helpful and always get me in if I have an issue. Fantastic experience: From start to finish this is a great place. In the last few months I have had 2 filings and a root canal. My dentist is knowledgeable and caring. Everyone, as needed, took time to explain what needed done and why. I'm on a tight budget, and to some extent, they worked with me on a payment plan. I am VERY pleased with the service I received. Update: I just moved almost an hour away and have decided to make the drive to continue with this dental office. They have a high standard of care and expertise. It is worth it to me to continue receiving this quality of service. If I could give them 10 stars, I would! I used to live a few miles from their office. I have moved about 40 minutes away through city driving. It is well worth my time to make the trip. This is the best dental care I've ever received!

Fantastic experience: Update 3 years later: I complimented my dental hygienist today as I worked with a new one this morning. She noticed part of my dental work and instead of assuming what my story was, she asked what happened. The staff at BFDC is always so caring and comforting instead of assuming and judgemental on your dental history. I love this place. They told me what I needed to hear with words I understood, while not being demeaning about it. They are also very accommodating! Thank you guys!

Only issue is that they do seem to go through dentists quite often but each new dentist does make an attempt to look through your files to become acquainted with your history. As a person on the spectrum dental visits have been difficult in the past. Dr. Cummings appointments are top notch. 5 Stars from start to finish.

Fantastic experience: The dentist and technicians were professional, courteous and friendly. Overall it was a pleasant experience. However the noise from people elsewhere in the office was very loud.

Negative experience: I called this place in advance 3 weeks prior to my appointment. I was told that they take my insurance, the front desk lady even took my insurance number before scheduling my appointment. I was told that my insurance was accepted and my appointment was set. The day of my appointment I come and am told that since I didn’t confirm my appointment no doctor is available for the appointment I scheduled, apparently they took down the wrong number, and then the lady says that I can comeback at 9:30 . After coming back and beginning the check in process I am then told that they don’t accept my insurance after all. Having to sit another month in pain finding another place that will do the procedure I need done.

Negative experience: My family had a horrible experience with Dr. Cummings. If you are thinking about getting a second opinion please do! Practice is money hungry and corporate and based on the other reviews it’s clear that they are known for recommending treatment that is not necessary for the extra money. Definitely will not be bringing my family back here.

Negative experience: Very disappointed. The care was great but they tried to push unnecessary procedures. My husband and I went in for our FREE cleaning. Neither of us got our cleaning because they wanted us to get more several different things done and come back for our free cleaning. They charged extra just to clean under our bottom retainer (which has never happened before). They told my husband that he needed to get braces again and needed his wisdom teeth removed. His wisdom teeth do not bother him and they haven’t moved his other teeth. When I went in for my cleaning they only did half of my mouth at each visit and numbed me up. At every visit I had to make a payment of $175 or more. I went to another dentist and told them about our last experience. I showed them my dental insurance portal and they looked at all the procedures they charged me for. They were doing a periodontal cleaning on me and did not tell me why. The other dentist told me what periodontal disease is and showed me what my X-rays looked likes and I did not have periodontal disease. The proceeded to show me what my X-rays would look like if I did have periodontal disease. The other dentist looked up Belton dental and told me they are corporate dentistry and they a required to meet quotas. They push all kinds of procedures and try to make patients come back for multiple unnecessary visits. We initially chose to try them because we didn’t have a regular dentist in the area and our 2.5 year old needed to go to her first appointment. They did a great job with her and we looked forward to using them however, after feeling taken advantage of, none of our family will be returning.

Fantastic experience: I had bad experiences with the dentist during my childhood so I avoided the dentist for many years. I have been a patient of Dr. Cummings for a few years now, and am impressed at how well she and her staff (along with Nitrous) are able to calm my nerves. This week, I woke up with a painful tooth and was able to get in the same morning I called. Dr. Cummings quickly confirmed I had a cracked tooth and was able to get me in a temporary crown at the same appointment. Although the dentist is still not my favorite place to go, I no longer dread going.

Negative experience: My regular dentist retired, so I started shopping around. I went in for my new patient appointment and was told that my teeth are horrible, and I need at least 9 crowns (also told that they don't do gold crowns, even though they do). Weird, since my dentist of 6 years never said I needed any more crowns. They also told me I had to pay for the fluoride treament....weird since the next dentist I went to said that my insurance covers one. So, I went and got a second opinion and was told that my teeth aren't that bad, and I did not need any crowns. Same company owns both locations, apparently.

Any questions I had were answered and tips for dental care were given without judgment. And I got a cavity filled the same day! This is the first time I’ve gone to the dentist where I felt relaxed and not anxious. Definitely recommend them for anyone who has had a bad dentist experience before, they’re great.

Natalie was so sweet and answered all my questions, she was very genuine and did great at explaining everything to me. I never felt rushed. Dr Patel was also very friendly and professional! I’m 28 and have never had an oral cancer screening and they did one at my first appointment here. Honestly the best experience I’ve had at the dentist! They all know that when I come in the only they can do without laughing gas is talk to me. Such a great place. Only dentist that has ever seen me more than once every 3-4 years. Now I go every 6 months. That says a lot in my case.

Fantastic experience: I was extremely impressed with the kindness and communication of each staff member I interacted with. They were careful to ask me frequently how I was doing during my X-Rays and the extraction procedure. The staff was all so friendly and helped me through financing, a treatment plan, and worked me into a same day appointment when they realized I needed an extraction. I highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Listen, Belton Family Dental Care is the best dentist I've been to. Maybe all the dentists have this technology, but I love the 3D imaging cameras they use to see your teeth. It's so cool and shows so much! All the women who work there are also tremendous; very friendly, thoughtful, and patient. I cannot just call out the dentist herself, but the staff as a whole, from check in to check out is great. The pictures, imaging, and work they did on my teeth, as much as I hated it, was very smooth.

Negative experience: The billing is NEVER what they claim it to be. They tell you to pay this amount today and you're good... just to get a bill a few weeks later asking for more. Staff always claims they are new and don't know why it was more... also told me they can't give me my records when I requested. Dental staff is amazing, but the billing and front desk staff are clueless. I do medical billing for a living and I can't imagine what else they are doing wrong. Definitely will NOT be back.

Fantastic experience: I’ve got to say that Dr Cummings is amazing. And all the staff at Belton Family Dental care are very professional to say the least. I had a broken tooth that became infected and needed to be extracted immediately. I was in an aweful amount of pain that was excruciating and I couldn’t of made it another hour. It was a tough tooth to get pulled and Dr Cummings was amazing and did a great job especially with me in being in so much pain. . I’m a journeyman lineman and my job is very dangerous and requires a lot of skill and nerve, but is no comparison to what she does. I have great respect for what she deals with everyday and no way I could ever do what she does. Thank You So Much..Jsmes Sharp

Fantastic experience: I had an infected wisdom tooth and I had not found a dentist in KC yet. I was able to be seen the same day I called. I got a prescription and a referral for an oral surgeon. I cannot stress this enough, the whole staff was friendly and welcoming. I get a little nervous for dentists and I felt completely comfortable here. Once I get my wisdom teeth taken care of I plan to return for my ongoing dental care. Thanks team!

Fantastic experience: I waited to write my review until after my 2nd cleaning so I could really gauge my experience as a returning patient. Dr. Cummings now treats my husband and kids as well! It had been a journey to get my teeth back in shape. I have had two cleaning appointments and 3+ appointments for fillings. I had to have more visits for fillings because i was pregnant at the time. Every visit I've had has been quick and painless. The front desk ladies are always friendly. Each dental assistant I have had has been gentle and thorough, and Dr. Cummings has always been so personable and has consistently done a great job. It had been 4 years since I have been able to chew food on the left side of my mouth due to pain. I am finally pain free! Dr. Cummings and her team have been fantastic, and I would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: Megan and Dr. Cummings always make sure I am comfortable and make every visit great! I love how straightforward they are and don’t try to scam you like a lot of people have witnessed previously. I love chatting with Megan she makes it feel like we’ve known each other for years!

Fantastic experience: The staff was amazing not only for myself but also my son. Getting a nine year old to feel so comfortable doesn't come easy, but they did great! I've had some dental trauma and they were so patient with me. Thank you for being so compassionate and understanding!
