Negative experience: I can’t even review this place because I waited for 30 minutes and was never seen. Nobody told me I would be waiting that long with an appointment at that.

Negative experience: Wasted my time. I told them over the phone the reason for my visit, and they told me over the phone that that was something they could do. And I get there and they bring me back just to tell me that’s something they’re not going to be able to help me with.

Fantastic experience: I called in with a tooth ache. Never been there. Very nice folks!! Got me in that day! I have a new dentist. .

Fantastic experience: My first dental visit in the US, and it was great. Got an appointment within a week, and the doctor were great.

Negative experience: Pros- front desk staff and hygienist were thorough in explaining what they were doing and friendly, dentist was polite though rushed. Cons- building smells like a musty old motel, with broken soap dispensers and rickety patient chairs to match. They also failed to inform me that they would not be doing a cleaning when I booked the appointment. When they told me there wouldn’t be a cleaning on the day of the appt and I asked why I was not informed when I booked the appointment they said the call center I scheduled it through sometimes fails to tell people that….. This obviously affects people on certain insurances that only have X amount of visits available per year. Take your business elsewhere unless you’re happy to pay for multiple visits to cover services that other dentists are able to complete in one trip.

Fantastic experience: I am very scared of dental pain. They put me at ease with beautiful bedside manner and quality of service. My deep cleansing technician, support staff and dentist was both highly skilled and trustworthy. I will never go to any other dentist I'm hooked and would enjoy spreading the word!

Negative experience: Update 2 years later: They upsold me on filling my tooth but screwed it up. It hurts really bad inside, and when I went back for them to take a closer look, they said everything looks normal and there's nothing they can do about it. It's still not fixed till this day. Original comment as the front desk asked me to give review after my wisdom tooth removal: Great experience, no pain, cheap prices, would come again!

Negative experience: Do not recommend Life Smiles dentist at all. Made an appointment for a crown. Dentist refuses treatment to me. Said I should go to the dentist that said I needed a crown. Then said due to already having a root canal that I needed to get the crown within the first 30 days. Endodontist never said that. But instead of making a treatment plan with me to have the endodontist recheck the tooth and then going forward with scheduling the crown, he flat out refused treatment. How an in network dentist can discriminate against the patient because he just didn't want to do the crown is outrageous. I also did not see the dentist that I was supposed to see. Marion Hedges was the in network dentist I called to see and who the receptionist assume I would be seeing. Instead some man walked in. Completely unprofessional office and dentist!!!

Fantastic experience: The staff were all extremely professional, it was a very fast and straightforward visit. Very pleased with Dr and staff :) (am terrible with names, sorry) I’m glad I chose this place. To add, I was worried all of my dental work would take a year or longer to complete since I’ve got quite a bit, they’re getting it done here in 2 months.

Positive experience: Nicole the hygienist did a very good job of cleaning my teeth and reviewing my history. She has a sweet and kind personality. I enjoy her kindness.

Positive experience: The Dentist and his assistant were excellent! They calm me down so much and don’t act like I’m a problem or an interruption to their day! I appreciate this due to my high anxiety caused by going to the dentist!

Positive experience: Dentists are good. However, you need to wait additional 30-ish minutes to be checked by the doctor. Make sure to add this time to your time off if you have a job

Negative experience: Absolutely disrespectful staff, I scheduled for a cleaning and another issue and then they decided to claim that I couldn’t get a cleaning. Honestly this disrespect I heard from here was the worst quality of any kind of medical “professional” staff. Look somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: Everyone was so friendly and informative for my first time visit. They let you know prices after insurance before services and I didn’t have to schedule my appointment so far in advanced. After my initial appointment I was able to schedule a cleaning a couple days later.

Fantastic experience: I got my wisdom teeth removed last year and it was super quick and I had all my questions answered. I now go for my cleanings and the staff is always nice and fast. They get to know you on a personal level and I have never had a problem.

Negative experience: If you’re willing to wait 10-12 months for an appointment this is the place for you. I’ve been waiting months for my annual check up and cleaning appointment and now get a call the hygienist won’t be there on that day. Next available day is 10 months out. Ridiculous.

Negative experience: I've been coming here the past few years for regular dental cleanings and they're always been extremely kind. But today I had a tooth pulled and they assured me they sent over my prescriptions to my pharmacy and did not. When I asked what was prescribed they didn't even give me a solid answer, so I don't even know what to expect. I wouldn't be so upset about this if it wasn't a Friday and now I have to go all weekend without whatever medications they were going to send. I know that I was the last patient and it's easy to get too excited about the end of the workday on a Friday but there is absolutely no reason to not have sent it over or to even tell me what is being sent. Do better, I'm very disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Ive only been here a few times so far for some issues larger than just a cleaning. I always feel safe and cared for. They always make sure to tell me what’s going on and how it’ll go down. They don’t charge you completely out the wazoo, as all dentist visits are usually expensive. Seems like a fair price to me. Amy, I believe she’s a dental assistant or maybe something a little higher (don’t quote me on that) has the most amazing personality. She’s super funny and super honest. She’s also very down to earth which I like because most dentists/assistants are kind of snobby in a way. This place is the best dentist office I’ve been to!

Negative experience: My mom has been here several times and never received help. She needed dentures when she first came to their practice. After three different appointments someone finally admitted they were unable to make dentures at that time but the dentist didn’t want to tell her - so those three appointments were a waste of time and money and the next one the dentist had already scheduled would also be a waste. We appreciate the honestly of that one worker very much. She was then referred out to a dentist an hour away who could actually make dentures. Fast forward 3.5 years and my mom has some pain in her mouth and wants a dentist to look at it. She’s still in the computer system at Life Smiles and lives super close to their office, so we made an appointment for them to look at what might be causing her swelling and discomfort. No problems with scheduling it, but when we arrive she is refused service. They apparently have a policy that if they had to refer you out to another clinic for any reason they can no longer see you at all. To be clear, she’s never been rude and wasn’t kicked out - she was referred out because they couldn’t make her dentures. There are so many negative reviews about this place, I would be very cautious wasting your time and money on them.

Fantastic experience: This is the best dentist I have ever been to. The staff are super nice (and funny). Additionally they are very thorough with exams and cleanings. Only downside of this place (along with anywhere else in (West) Lafayette) is that they are scheduled out fairly far out.

Negative experience: I had very high hopes when I first scheduled my new patient appointment, especially since I had to wait 6 months to get in. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing from start to finish. The office itself was old, dingy, and felt unclean. It was definitely not what I expected for a professional dental practice. During my appointment, they performed an oral cancer screening and took X-rays. The dentist then scheduled two appointments to fill cavities and a third for a cleaning. While I had already waited so long for this initial appointment, I decided to go through with it. The issues really started with my fillings. After the second one, the dentist told me they had to drill deeper and that I might experience some discomfort for a few days. However, when they filled the cavity, it was the hygienist doing the work—not the dentist—and the dentist didn’t come back to check it before I left. I didn’t think much of it at the time, but two months later during my cleaning, I was still in pain. The hygienist brushed it off as something normal and told me it would hopefully go away soon. Unfortunately, the dentist never came in during my cleaning appointment, and that lack of follow-up was concerning. Now, several weeks later, the pain is unbearable, and I can’t even sleep through the night. I’m beyond frustrated and will be seeking a new dentist to fix the issue. If you’re looking for thorough, attentive care, I would suggest finding a different office.

Fantastic experience: I recently had my wisdom teeth removed. A couple days prior to surgery, I called the facility and a dental hygienist walked me through the process and helped calm the nerve while educating me on alternative treatment options if needed. She was very compassionate, and knowledgeable. The day of surgery, the Doctor was personable and quick with extraction. Roughly 7 minutes to remove them all! This facility excels in customer service and demonstrates tremendous skill sets. I would recommend this facility to all ages for any dental concerns.

Fantastic experience: They were all very friendly. The dentist was very friendly and I had the dental hygienist today. She was super friendly and did a really good job cleaning my teeth - even though my teeth were still really pretty clean and she was overwhelmed by the fact that they were so clean and that’s what told me. That made me feel good. I do take good care of my teeth though so it wasn’t just a fib. I would absolutely tell anybody to go to this dentist because he is really good, he takes care of the most important things first. I got the first gold Crown that I’ve ever had. They say that the gold crowns can last a lifetime where the other crowns —that I have from other dentists from the past—(the porcelain ones) they ae peeling off and eventually they’ll have to be replaced. I know. But he didn’t mention that— I just figured that for myself. I would recommend this dentist to anyone that means anything to me. So I would recommend this Dennis to anybod y who is in need of a dentist. They were all very friendly and the doctor was also smart, and skilled. You could tell he knew what he was talking about and he knew what he was doing.

Negative experience: Dysfunctional scheduling. They asked me to confirm my appointment 5 times by text, email and phone. Then they cancelled on me on the day of my appointment! Then they said they couldn’t get me in for another six months! I declined. So naturally I have a new dentist now, but Lifesmiles continues to contact me asking me to confirm appointments that asked them not to make. Either someone there is pranking me lol or they have some real problems with scheduling

Fantastic experience: Scheduling was super easy! I got in the next day for a consultation. When I got there I was nervous because of how long it’s been since I’ve been to the dentist. This is the most comfortable and nice place and staff I’ve been to. There’s another review about things not being updated and dingy but in person it’s normal wear and tare. Very clean. Very friendly. Very efficient. Can’t wait for my next appointments! :)

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough about my appreciation of this practice. In times of need they work you in. If there is something they cant do because of time constraints ,they refer your case. I never go for the referral as i want all of my care centralized at LifeSmiles

Fantastic experience: Absolutely wonderful! I needed to get my mouth xrayed ASAP because I have cancer and my doctor wants to put me on a medication that could cause problems with my jaw. I have been putting this off for awhile but when I explained the situation to the receptionist she scheduled me for the next day. They dentist was fantastic along with the staff. The weirdest thing was that my insurance would not cover the cost but Life Smiles covered the cost of the xrays and and the dentist. They also set me up with a consultation with a oral surgeon for next week to see what my options are. YES I would definitely recommend this practice. Everyone there is fantastic.

Fantastic experience: The staff and doctor were beyond amazing with a dental emergency I experienced. I had flossed a filling and chipped it, and was suffering pretty moderate pain. They fit me into the schedule the same day, and then also filled it for me that same appointment to avoid unnecessary pain all weekend! I am beyond grateful for their care and consideration with a fully booked day! Thank you so much!!

Negative experience: The dentist is extremely cold and not personable, he glanced at my teeth for 2 minutes then walked away and said have a good day, I didn’t even get the chance to ask any questions. It always seems like he doesn’t care about patient interactions. Will definitely look for a new dentist. This was also after spending majority of my time there waiting, I was there for an hour and spent about 40 of those minutes waiting around.

Fantastic experience: My absolute favorite dentist office experience. Everyone in this office seems to enjoy their work. They're great at getting the job done, but also have fun at the same time.

Negative experience: Left feeling uncared for after an extraction. Had to ask for gauze because they didn’t give me any, the receptionist was helpful with that. I wasn’t explained what medications I was being prescribed or how to take them, and needed a prior authorization for one medication but was the last patient of the day so wasn’t able to get that. The doctor who comes to do the extractions wasn’t personable, didn’t use any topical, I wouldn’t have another extraction here.

Negative experience: Waited 40 minutes to be seen, and finally had to leave because my exam hadn’t started. I read the review about long wait times. The vibe is dirty, dingy, and slow. I’ll find another practice.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this Dentist. I have been going to Life Smiles Dentistry for more than almost 1 year and overall every time my experiences have been very positive. I do not usually right reviews, but i wanted to share my recent experience. Recently i have been struggling with some health issues that I have been trying to see an IU health doctor or specialist for head/mouth/nose for more than 2 months. Unfortunately i was not successful with IU health, and was struggling to determine my next steps. Today i had my regular cleaning and once I shared my concerns with the dentist (relevant for dentist evaluation) him and his team were very supportive . They made time, promptly made an assessment to address my concerns, and were able to provide guidance and refer me to a specialist in Indi. Thank you for the time, support, and care!

Fantastic experience: The absolute best team! Professional atmosphere and cleanliness you would hope for in a dentist office, but the staff really make this place shine! Super kind, caring, and easy going.It is amazing to see how effortlessly they all move as a team without missing a beat. The dental team is so informative and explain everything as they are doing it, which is very comforting for someone like me who gets nervous. My kids love them too!!

Fantastic experience: 2 years ago I was not a fan of the dentist. Honestly terrified to go and put off for many years. My first time at Life Smiles the Dentist made me feel comfortable and heard, he took the time needed to answer questions and ensure I knew each step. The hygienist was gentle and caring. Same continues as I return for general cleanings. I actually look forward to going now! The hygienist is amazing and you can tell with her schedule. It’s hard to get in every 6 months on time. (But worth the wait)

Fantastic experience: Everyone was absolutely amazing here! Olivia was so kind and made me feel comfortable during my xrays. The doctor and the woman who helped him (did paperwork and scheduling also) were also very kind and answered all my questions and addressed my concerns. They made sure I knew exactly what I needed done, and that I knew exactly how much each procedure would cost. They are completely non-judgemental, which is one of my main anxieties regarding going to the dentist. Nicole the hygienist was so dang perfect too! I can't wait to come here forever. Negative experience: Came here because I'm a Purdue student and thus couldn't go to the dentist in my hometown. I've never had an issue with getting x-rays taken but I gagged at least 10 times to the point where my eyes started watering. I don't even know how the hygienist managed to trigger my gag reflex that much, but it was so uncomfortable. Not to mention that at points, parts of the object they put in my mouth for the x-rays stabbed the inside of my mouth. The dentist himself was very nice and knowledgeable, but I had to wait nearly 45 minutes after x-rays to see him. The x-ray experience alone made me regret coming. Edit: Forgot to mention that the hygienist called me a "huge gagger" to another hygienist within my earshot, very unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: Amazing. The West Lafayette office staff is outstanding. The hygienist was wonderful and so was the dentist. This was just the exam/treatment plan part. I’ll circle back on my experience for the work that is being done next week. But so far so GREAT!

Negative experience: I'm a Purdue student. I will 0 star and won't come this dental clinic anymore. Today I had a terrible experience there and wasted me an hour! The service was pathetic, especially the woman with very long false eyelashes! I took X-rays half a year ago. They asked me to take a new one to run out of my insurance. What's more, when I asked what's the price for my two dental insurances, they couldn't answer and chose the Delta insurance for me without permission!

Fantastic experience: The people there are very friendly and doctor is fast about my wisdom tooth extraction. Knowing that I don’t like pain, he even offer to extra numb the region before performing the surgery. Recommend! One downside is the queue in this place is kinda long, need to schedule way ahead of time.

Fantastic experience: I have nothing but love for life smiles! All of the staff is amazing from being checked in to being checked out. They really know how to take care of special situations and don't make you feel judged for any reason. I have one hygienist that I truly love. She takes the time to make each visit personable and gets to know you and actually remembers things you've talked about in previous visits. I will forever be a returning customer.

Negative experience: I Did not have a good experience with this office. I made an appt in august as a new patient, the opening they had was in December. Once the appointment came they said it will be exam only since you are a new patient but dental cleaning will be in February!!!! So they did dental exam with no dental cleaning. And charged $140.00 for dental exam without any cleaning. That is wrong. I should have been notified of this the day the appointment was made. They should have shared this in August when I made the appointment. To wait 4 months to get teeth cleaned and then not get teeth cleaned and now the next appointment for teeth cleaning is in February!!! That is insane!!! Very disappointed! This was handled so unprofessionally!

Fantastic experience: I hate the dentist. Plain and simple. However, the people over at LifeSmiles Dentistry managed to make visit enjoyable. I felt safe and secure in the hands of my dental hygienist. With her, everything was picture perfect! Not to mention the front desk lady was attractive. Cougar?

Negative experience: Appointment scheduled for 8:10 later changed to 8:50. I arrived at 8:45 and was taken back at 9:10. The doctor came in to check on me and administer a shot at 9:40, saying that would need five minutes to take effect. At 10:05 work began and at 12:05 I was finished. Any question in anybody's mind about what I think of the service today?

Fantastic experience: Wonderful hygienist! I'm a huge baby and Nicole always makes me feel so much better. My blood pressure literally drops when she takes it, she's that reassuring with her patients. She goes out of her way to make sure I'm comfortable the entire time she's cleaning. (I've had brutal cleanings before in other offices so I'm pretty sensitive.) I highly recommend this office for Nicole alone. The dentist is nice too, but I've only spent a few moments with him. The hygienist does all the work IMO. The other reviews mentioning schedules, the front office people are fantastic. Just tell them if you have a schedule and they'll work with you. They are busy because they are good. I'd rather know they are extra careful considering they have serious equipment going into your mouth. Bring a book.

Negative experience: The appointment was at 1pm. They said running 30 mins late. Ok can wait. 1 hour passed and still waiting no communication letting us know it would be longer. Could have asked that they were running longer and ask if we could wait instead of just letting us sit there. Had to leave and not get services.

Fantastic experience: Everyone is super friendly. On time so there was no wait. Very gentle with injections and fillings too. I would definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: The receptionist who checked me in was so nice and friendly. Nicole who did my cleaning was also extremely social and easy to talk to- we were laughing while I was getting cleaned! She was very gentle/ considerate- she kept asking if I was ok and very thorough and kind. She wasn’t judgemental like some hygienists are and tell you what you’re doing wrong. I really liked the receptionist and hygienist they made it a great experience for me!

Fantastic experience: Amanda did an amazing job on my teeth compared to other dentists. My other dentist didn’t do my fillings correctly but life smiles got me in, redid the entire surface of some of my teeth and I’m smiling again. I cannot explain how happy I am.

Fantastic experience: I have been to a lot of dentist in the area…. They are by far the best because of the staff and skilled technicians. The girls up front and the technicians were so kind and sweet and both of the dentist I saw were so informative and helpful. I have been trying for 4 years to get my wisdom teeth pulled and my insurance wouldn’t… they got it all worked out for me and even got it scheduled for the very next day! I was terrified and the girls at the front desk talked with me all about it and told me there personal experience having the same thing done and it helped so much, then the dental surgeon was hands down the nicest man I’ve ever met! He had me talking so much and asking about my job to keep me distracted and telling me stories so it was done before I knew it! They had a really thorough set up for my after care and gave me antibiotics and way more meds than the place my best friend got hers done. They also helped my nine year old a few weeks ago and we’re amazing with him as well! We won’t be going anywhere else from now on! They’re the best!
