Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing experience! My son has a lot of problems with his teeth and I called really upset they got him in immediately and also did the work same day that needed to be done. My son was very nervous and the doctor was nothing but phenomenal with him. My boy left saying that was the best experience at a dentist even after having a tooth pulled and said he wants to go back to that dentist. Thank you all so much. Really helped with my anxiety as well. It’s never easy seeing your child in pain.

Fantastic experience: The VA sent me here last week since they were back logged. I have PTSD and don't do well with new places. The front office went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable, and even let me sit in a side room to avoid the waiting area. Dr Westover is hands down the best dentist I have ever been to, and I am grateful the VA sent me here. He could tell I was nervous, and was able to get me calmed down enough, and came up with with a great treatment plan. 100% recommend coming here for any dental needs.

The office is clean and comfortable, and you can tell the team truly cares for one another—it feels like a close-knit family. That sense of care and connection makes such a difference, and I always feel well taken care of here.

Negative experience: I can't remember having as much pain from any extraction ever as I had with this Dentist. I also lost one of the teeth that he haphazardly put a cheap factory fabricated crown onto for undisclosed reasons. Best to find a dentist in Frederick, MD than a local dentist in Winchester or Martinsburg but particularly stay clear of Westover. Vets, beware.

Fantastic experience: The entire staff was extremely kind, thorough and professional. I am a true scaredy-cat, but everyone put me at ease and the extraction was over and I was out the door in 30 minutes. And it did not feel rushed. It was amazing!

Fantastic experience: I must say, as someone with dental anxiety who has been avoiding going to the dentist for much longer than I should (over 10 years), my experience with this office was phenomenal. Everyone who worked with me (2 hygienists and the doctor himself) were extremely kind, professional, and considerate of my fears. The building itself is beautiful from its waiting room to its offices. The layout of the building is well-thought-out and works with the flow of appointments. My first experience there was great... I'm hoping that that will continue for years to come.

Negative experience: This review is from Louis Lumet : This was the worst expérience! I went in for a very routine semi annual cleaning. After 55 minutes in the chair, a bunch of Xrays, i finally asked how long it would be before she started cleaning my Teeth? I was then told I couldn’t get a simple cleaning (covered by my insurance) but I would need a deep cleaning ($275 not covered in my insurance). I was then lectured by the office manager who claimed it would be “Fraud” if they didn’t charge me!! About calling it extortion!!!! I refused to pay and left the chair. I was still billed for a (45 seconds) exam by a “Doctor”, but the funny part is the Hygienist was trying to sell me a sleep Study Kit because I grind my teeth. Please read all the reviews before going there!!!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Westover is a true artist. Last week I had a crown and three veneers done and I couldn't be happier with the result. Dr. Westover took great care in crafting the final product and my smile is exactly how I had hoped it would be. He and his entire staff always go out of their way to make me feel welcomed and like part of the family. I highly recommend this practice. 5 stars all the way.

Negative experience: I just called to get an idea how much it would cost to have a filling replaced after it fell out yesterday (not their filling). They told me they couldn’t give any numbers regarding that over the phone, I would have to pay for a $200 consultation just to get an estimate. So I have to pay, a substantial sum at that, to even have any idea how much I would have to pay. Absolutely mind-blowing logic. For all I know their prices could be absolutely outrageous and I will have wasted that time, and money. All while my tooth decays.

Negative experience: It breaks my heart to have to leave a 1 star review because there was definitely quality there in terms of the Hygienist. However, the treatment I have received is something that cannot be ignored. Dr. Westover recommended my son get a procedure done. My husband and I did our research and submitted all requested documents for this practice to check with the insurance to ensure the procedure would be covered. We were told that the insurance was going to completely cover the procedure so we proceeded. A couple months later I receive a bill from them for over $600. When I inquired, they told me the insurance didn't cover the procedure. I was frustrated but the office advised that as long as I was making a monthly payment, my account would be fine. So I did. At this point, the account is down to $300 and I get a phone call saying they can no longer honor that agreement (apparently the individual that told me that information no longer works for the practice). I advised them that I 100% intended to fully make the account right, however, they wanted me to pay an amount right away that I was not able to pay. Absolutely no empathy, no apologies, no nothing except sending my account to collections. Very unfortunate situation and I am extremely disappointed in the way this was handled.

Fantastic experience: Once again I received Amazing Awesome Professional experience/treatment from Annie. She has a way to/ of relaxing me while I am getting through the treatment . As shewas humming "I will be home for Christmas ". I am recommending Annie to be recognized for her Outstanding Professionalism and Customer Service. Fantastic experience: I am a retired military veteran who uses the VA for my medical needs. Through Care in the Community the VA referred me to Westover Family Dentristy and I have had a wonderful experience with every visit. I have had cleanings, fillings, root canal and dental implants, and all procedures were done with care and attention to detail. The staff, from assistants, technicians and dentists are all friendly and efficient, and are always happy to see you. They have some cool improvements since my last visit including a massage-type dental chair and a TV on the ceiling, so that when you are all the way back in the chair, you can watch it and hopefully alleviate the stress or anxiety you may have. Obviously, it isn't something they had to do but Dr. Westover looks out for his patients. I could not recommend them more. They are the best.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at Westover Dental. I hadn’t been to a dentist in about 15 years and I get incredibly nervous. Everyone was very understanding of my anxiety and offered several options to help me relax. Diana was so good with my cleaning.

Negative experience: Extremely unprofessional, be careful not to ask about their incorrect over pricing after procedures. This office will cancel services with you with no prior warning, even if you have an appointment set up. They will even send you a reminder about your false appointment, wasting your time when you make an effort to attend. Common courtesy goes a long way and it does not cost anything to practice it.

Fantastic experience: Let me say , after 4 other Major brand Dentistry’s turned me away and referred me to a EXTREMELY over priced orthodontists. After a long battle with my wisdom tooth and being so close to the nerve Dr. Austin Westover walked in like a champ made the pain go away for the first time in a while then pulled it out and sent me on my way. Whole experience there as a first time customer took only about an hour. From walking in to the beautifully set up waiting area, to the only Xray I didn’t have to feel that large plastic piece every other office uses for standing X-ray. They not only took care of me but by the end of this my tooth was gone, pain is gone, now recovering and still feeling great and a now returning client switching to them permanently as my dental care specialists. They definitely take care of you here!

Fantastic experience: I had a tooth extracted and new bone inserted in the opening to get ready for an implant. It only took 15 minutes. Dr Westover is both very professional and kind. He explains everything he is going to do and why. I highly recommend him! Update 1/7/24 Just received the implant. It only took about 15 minutes and all is well. Update 4/16/24 was just measured for my crown and all is well.

The office is extremely comfortable, clean, bright and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Was provided with the amount I would owe ahead of the procedure and everything went well.

Negative experience: Staff was very nice. However, I was told that me and my wife’s fillings would be $450. Spent 20 minutes going over the plan with the front desk after my cleaning to get to that number. Come back for the filling appointments and after they tell me it’s $2,000. Cancelled my next cleaning and won’t be back. Edit: Your reply excludes a huge part of the truth. After she signed that, I went in for my cleaning and discussed both treatment plans and got a new copy that show $247 for hers and $192 for mine. Not $2,000. Edit 2: Still haven’t received a call… Edit 3: 2 weeks later and still never received that call they said they would make in their reply

Fantastic experience: I was so impressed with the team at Westover Family Dentistry, especially Dr. Westover himself. From the moment I walked through the door to the moment I left, I experienced first-class customer service. Everyone was so polite and greeted you with a smile. Dr. Westover was clearly knowledgeable, had a great sense of humor (which helps if you’re nervous about going to the Dentist) and he explained everything in great detail so that you’re able to understand. The office is modern and beautifully designed and decorated, which I love. The waiting area has a special section specifically designed for young children and the exam rooms are neat and clean with TV’s mounted on the ceiling for your viewing pleasure while you’re getting treatment. I was thoroughly impressed with my entire experience at this office and you will be too!

Fantastic experience: Jack, the hygienist, was over the top good. My first impression of Dr Westover was I immediately liked him. Of course he hasn’t done any drilling on me yet so we’ll see if my impression stays positive. The office is beautiful and well decorated. The cool looking round chandelier in the waiting area has two burned out bulbs. l notice things like that. The entire staff was extremely friendly and very professional and knowledgeable. I have an appointment next week to fill two cavities so we’ll see how it goes. Update: Monday - I had my appointment this morning to fix two cavities. They were actually able to take me a few minutes early. This was my first experience with laser drilling if drilling is even the right word. Anyway no needles no numbing required. It was great, fast and easy for me anyway. I love the new technology but thought the price was a little high so I asked my previous dentist who told me the price was in the ball park. I guess it has been a while since I had my last filling. Again everyone was very friendly. They didn’t have the ladder and light bulbs ready for me to change the burned out lights in the chandelier so I can only charge them a service call. I knocked off a little since they were to provide the ladder and bulbs. I wonder if they will pay me as fast as I paid them???

Fantastic experience: Wonderful experience getting my crown from previous dentist replaced by Dr Westover today. Pain free procedure!!! AMAZING because I did receive a shot to numb which I did not feel because he numbed me with a topical first! This was such an huge relief especially when I have to bring my child in, no fears because I felt ZERO pain! Secondly, the crown looks FANTASTIC. Dr. Westover is super skilled and has a keen eye for aesthetics, I was very nervous because it was a front tooth and I’m very hard to please and I am beyond grateful! He’s the BEST without a doubt and I love his staff they are super supportive! This is DEFINITELY the place to go for all your dental needs! Kudos to Dr Westover Thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: Wow! Excellent care & speedy emergency service. Lost a large filling from a molar at about 7:30 am, called the office well before 9:00 & was given an 11:10 appointment. Had the tooth cleaned up, a partial crown designed, milled, & fit within 90 minutes for a permanent fix.

Although I could have written a review about my experience with them soon after my initial visit, I thought it would be more meaningful if I write this review after 1 year that I’ve been a patient at Westover Family Dentistry. Firstly, there are not enough superlatives I can find in praising my dentist, Dr. Bryant Ash. His professionalism, knowledge, and kindness are second to none. His “patient-first” approach is evident in each and every visit that I’ve had with him, and he seems to have an innate ability to calm his patients’ fears and anxiety from simply being in a dental office. Secondly, each dental staff whom I interacted with over the past year is absolutely wonderful!! Everyone is professional, courteous, pleasant and with welcoming smiles . . . . starting with Christine (office manager), Anne (office administration), Lexi (front desk), Kim, Sam, Melissa, Christy, Chuck (dental assistants), Anita (hygienist), as well as others whom I’ve not yet had the pleasure of meeting. Thirdly, the office facility is simply gorgeous, the best-looking dental office I’ve seen, atypical of other offices because it looks more like a model home, with bright, cozy and comfortable waiting area; the exam rooms are state-of-the-art. Overall, my impressions and positive experience as a patient at Westover Family Dentistry over the past year, I believe, is a reflection of the exemplary leadership of Dr. Austin Westover and his associate, Dr. Bryant Ash. I very highly recommend Westover Family Dentistry!

Fantastic experience: I’ve loved Westover Family Dentistry for a while! My friend needed an emergency visit and they were the ones who could get him in the fastest. They were both amazing and fixed him right up! And this was when they were in their old building. I finally have an insurance that allows me to be seen there, and I too needed a visit as soon as possible as I cracked a tooth. I was able to book online for the visit, and it was super smooth. I got text message reminders too! The visit itself was great. Charles was the Assistant and his personality was superb. I then saw Dr. Ash. He was nice, and to the point. And gave me my options. My tooth is able to be saved with just a crown. Yay! The office is beautiful, and in a great location as well. I recommend to everyone I know.

Fantastic experience: Check in is friendly quick and easy. Anita- my hygienist makes me feel so comfortable and takes all the nerves and uneasiness away. She is so gentle and professional. Dr. Westover is kind and takes the time to make sure you are ok. Had 2 fillings replaced today and this team was like a well oiled machine. REALLY love this dentist in comparison to all the years of going to the dentist growing up.

Fantastic experience: I have been through a lifetime of dental problems and issues and had yet to find the right Doctor and office to help me WANT to have a beautiful smile. That was until last week when I was blessed with a team of genuinely amazing tooth fairies. Erika was my assistant and made my anxiety evaporate before I was even in the chair. She’s a ROCKSTAR. Then getting to meet Dr. Westover made my entire mindset change to really wanting a healthy smile. I couldn’t be happier with their service, their gentle demeanors, and most of all, their sense of humor. This dental team takes pride in their field of work, and it shows. So lucky I found you ❤️

Fantastic experience: Had my first periodontal cleaning and needless to say I was more than reluctant and nervous especially after all the horror stories of how painful that cleaning can be but Jak was awesome!! She was very gentle and reassuring. She showed sincere caring as she continuously asked me if I was doing ok and to let her know if I felt anything throughout the cleaning. After the cleaning and the topical medication wearing off, I did not experience any discomfort!! I actually went for my second exam and touch up cleaning today without ANY hesitation or anxiety!!! Once again, Jak was awesome!!!

Fantastic experience: The facility it’s absolutely beautiful in addition to being one of the most cleanly places I have ever been to. I have never had such a genuinely pleasant experience with such patience with answering my questions. I recommend Doctor Westover and her colleagues to anyone. Fantastic experience: First time at Westover Family Dentistry as an emergency visit. First, the office is so clean and so cute! Second, everyone is so nice there. Dr. Ash was my dentist and he was quick, efficient, nice and straight to the point. Instead of going the easy route and suggesting removal of a tooth he did a thorough exam and we did a filling with a cap scheduled. My appointment was just a little over an hour which also was super great. The dental hygienist was also super nice and explained everything for me as well. For someone who has seem multiple dentists, I was super impressed!

Positive experience: Fast and good work. On the customer service part (as someone who also works with people) I know you can have bad days. However, it would nice if the intake/receptionists would at least smile back when doing intake or payment. Also the dentist (while did smile and tried to be nice) while working on my teeth said: "Oh I love your pink hair! I wish I could have pink hair, but I have to look professional." Yeah, not a great comment to make to anyone. Again, he tried to back paddle without apologizing (would have been the right thing to do), but a bit more focus on communication and interpersonal skills would be a great addition to the practice.

Fantastic experience: Great service. They worked me in to a very busy schedule to replace a crown that had fallen out. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Dr Westover was very professional and provided great dental care.

Fantastic experience: I was not an established patient. I will be though. They were able to give me an appointment to take care of a bad tooth quickly! Very friendly and professional. Written estimate that was adjusted lower because the procedure went quickly. Very concerned about my comfort level during the procedure. Day after the removal, the only discomfort I am experiencing is at the novocaine injection sites. This was expected. I would recommend.

Fantastic experience: I go to Westover Dentistry because they care about my dental problems and my concerns. They explain everything and give you your options. They know I am very nervous about shots so with the help of the nitros oxide and their patience I am in a much better place when I have dental work done. Their receptionists and dental assistants are very polite and friendly and assist you in whatever you need. I see children there and myself, I am in my 80's, so I would recommend them to anyone looking for comprehensive and caring dentistry.

Fantastic experience: Great first visit for my special needs young man. Everyone was kind, friendly, and patient. Beautiful modern office and equipment. We will be back for more care and have the convenience of sedation as needed. Five stars for sure!

Fantastic experience: Best dentist in town! The staff are friendly and polite. They offer things for anxious patients like massage chairs, tv’s on ceilings, and music. The whole experience is very homey and pleasant.

Fantastic experience: Excellent customer service from the call to schedule my appointment through my check out after my appointment! The office is very welcoming and they have the most comfortable chairs I’ve ever sat in at a dentist office! Everyone was super nice and explained things thoroughly!! Fantastic experience: Dr Austin Westover and staff are great. They know what they are doing and inform you of all the details of what they are doing including letting you know what to expect at home. Everyone who has been with Dr Westover as long as I've been coming says hello and calls you by name. Anita is a wonderful higentist. The new office is so beautiful. They seem to always be on time and by the way, massage treatment chairs and tv screens on the ceiling. ☺️
