Fantastic experience: The staff were all very friendly and courteous. I arrived very early because my wife had an earlier appointment and they called me in before my appointment time. The dental assistant got right to work and I didn't have a lot of waiting time. She was very proficient. And the office is very attractive and clean.

Fantastic experience: I always request Jody for my twice a year check up and cleaning. She is so pleasant and knows how to keep you relaxed and at ease. I had to cancel my appt due to illness, so I knew it would be difficult to get another appt so quickly. However the Dental center put me on the cancelation list should an opening come up. within a weeks time their office called to say there was a cancelation and I took it. They kept track and had me scheduled quickly. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

I immediately called to see if I could schedule an appointment and/or be worked in… Chuck was polite and his level of professionalism far exceeded my expectations! He gathered my information and called me back within minutes to schedule an appointment on Thursday. Lynchburg Dental Center always goes above and beyond to meet their patients needs. Not only are the staff knowledgeable and personable; the dentists offer/provide a welcoming environment for their patients, as well.

Positive experience: I really enjoy this office and appreciate how accommodating, kind, and gentle the dentist is with my care. The only challenge I’ve experienced is that my insurance is not accepted, which means there is typically a small out-of-pocket cost for services that were previously fully covered, such as cleanings. Additionally, I have had some difficulty during the checkout process. The receptionist who handles this part of the visit can come across as a bit intimidating for payment and communication in those moments feels less approachable than the rest of my experience.

Fantastic experience: I love Lynchburg Dental Center, Dr. Lentz, and his dental assistant. I have extreme anxiety when it comes to the dentist and they offer all the options to make me more comfortable so that I can get the dental care that I need. Only problem I had this past time was the nitrous running out but they assured me this would not happen next visit.

Fantastic experience: Friendly atmosphere! Dr. Lentz is such a nice doctor! Seems like he cares about his patients and wants to know about what’s going on in their lives! I would highly recommend setting up an appointment with them.

Negative experience: Front staff has been rude numerous times. Act like they cant understand what i wanted and that theres something wrong with needing dentures or different numbing medication. One office staff didn't seem to understand when I told her I had an appointment I was going into and continually called me over and over and left a rude voice mail. The whole time I felt like this was definitely a place that if you could pay a big amount out of pocket immediately and if I had looked that part, they would have been much friendlier. For some reason they bill me and my husband together under my name and no detailed billing. I had to ask for one to be sent.

Negative experience: They changed their insurance billing practices without notice, so although my dental insurance covers everything, they wouldn't cover anything because the business will not bill my medical insurance first. I think when you make a fundamental change like that, you should tell your customers before they get billed as though they have no insurance.

Fantastic experience: Everyone from the receptionist to the oral hygienist to Dr. Lentz are courteous and helpful in many ways. They always give constructive ways to improve my oral health care.

Positive experience: Was was told when I got there that I had been there just 4 months ago and appointment shouldn't have been scheduled so soon. I did not set the appointment. I was then informed that the dentist was not there that day. Was given the choice of either going back home or having a cleaning . since I was already there I opted for a cleaning.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Crawford performed the implant procedure (one more step of crown procedure remained) efficiently and explained each step; addressing all concerns. The entire process, from consultation to the implant, felt seamless and well managed. He is skilled and has a caring demeanor that made the process comfortable. As always, the front desk staff are respectful and greet me with warm smiles.

Fantastic experience: Not only was the procedure painless, I experienced no discomfort later. My expectation of needing to take a painkiller for the expected throbbing after the numbing needle injection wore off - NOT! ANOTHER excellent experience with this professional group of wonderworking medical caregivers.

Negative experience: Love the dentists but front office staff leave a lot to be desired. Our son made appointment for cleaning and referral. They charged us for a panoramic x-ray that was not requested. Then they acted like we should have known that anthem no longer covered this. I read an article that greatly shroud whether panoramic x rays should be done in addition to serial x rays. The article I read says panoramic images are prone to distortion and artifacts. It also stated that the amount of pathology discovered with panoramic vs serial xrays was negligible. The front office people were definitely not nice. Be sure when you book that you are clear what you want and ask them to let you know if they will be upcharging.

Fantastic experience: 05/22/25 I had the pleasure of receiving dental care from Dr Lentz at Lynchburg Dental Center. It was easy as pie for him to reattach a 20 yr old crown that had fallen out. Of course, with the understanding that it might come loose in 6-12 months. Heck, I was ready to pay for a replacement now. But, what a CONTRAST to the other dental offices I called. Those who answered the phone at the other offices were having me jump thru hoops. Almost telling me it would be an impossible task because their dentist had done the initial treatment. Well if you live long enough, you move and 20+ years could pass and you don't even recall the dentist name. Will be following up with Lynchburg Dental Care with routine care.

Fantastic experience: I moved here from another state and had been with the same dentist for many years. I had some trepidation about starting over, I was referred to Lynchburg Dental Center. It was a bit of a wait to get in but well worth the wait. A beautiful clean office and the staff were great from beginning to end. The receptionist, the hygienist, the dentist and the check out personnel. You can tell when staff are treated well because it reflects back to patient care. I’m so pleased I found my new dental office. I highly recommend Lynchburg Dental Center.

Fantastic experience: I left a message on Friday after the office had closed for the weekend. I had a tooth that had split while eating dinner and it was painful. I received a call this morning and was told they would call me back after giving the message to my doctor. He asked if I could come right in and i did. He pulled my tooth today without a sign of impatience for me being a workin. Dr Lentz and all of his staff are so friendly while being professional and caring of their patients. I would recommend Lynchburg Dental Center to everyone.

Fantastic experience: Doctor Crawford’s follow up was thorough, and his chair side demeanor was pleasant. I truly felt like they were happy to have me there, from the moment I stepped into the office until I left. Doctor Kenny, my regular Dentist, saved my life. In 2019, I went in for a routine cleaning, which I almost canceled. During her follow up exam she noticed something abnormal with my tonsil. It turned out to be cancer. Doctor Kenny ensured that her office staff called the ENT clinic, and set me up an appointment immediately. My oncologist told me that since it was discovered in its early stages, I had a 100% chance of a full recovery. Here I am to testify … God is great and greatly to be Praised. And, Doctor Kenny is an exceptional Dentist, and I thank God for bringing her into my life! On my most recent visit, Doctor Kenny, and Michelle were such a good team. Working together to provide exceptional Dental care. I had a very short wait to be seen. My procedure was accomplished efficiently, and was virtually painless. The entire staff at Lynchburg Dental is pleasant, and professional. Chuck did an excellent job explaining my insurance coverage, and got me out the door, ready ro face the rest of my day, with a smile on my face! Every time I visit Lynchburg Dental Center the entire staff is so kind, and courteous. They truly make you feel welcome, and that they are genuinely glad to meet your needs. There is no other dental office that I would want to do business with, to handle my dental health! Today’s visit was excellent as usual. Dr. Kenny and Michelle make a great team. They always make sure I am comfortable, and painless as possible. They are perfectionists and that is just the kind of person taking care of my dental needs. Top shelf, class act; start to finish!

Fantastic experience: Objectively, this is THE BEST dental office in Lynchburg. I have experienced 4 other local dental practices and knew I had arrived at a practice that would be right for all my family’s needs. There is a courteous and friendly office staff, great hygienists and an excellent dentist in Dr. Crawford. You will likely need to book out into the future so accept it. Good things come to those who wait.
