Fantastic experience: Friendly and helpful Also dentist is fast and good with the kids

Negative experience: Ive been bringing my child here for years. Looks like it all new staff and maybe a new corporate owner. waited for almost 1.5 hours just to get my daughters teeth cleaned and for a dentist to look at her. After the assistants finished with my kids cleaning, the dentist asked the assistant if he had anymore patients. "No". Dentist went in his office for 45 mins and finally returned. Nothing new was done it that 45 min time frame. I canceled her 6 month check up and will be looking for a new dentist. Plus, dont get me started on the appearance of the interior. Dentist never said hello to me or even interacted with my daughter. Old dentist use to ask questions just so she would feel more relaxed. Waiting to see if they charged my insurance for xrays that were never done.

Fantastic experience: Dr Patel was amazing and so were the dental assistants. Staff is incredible and my kids love it at Cosmic

Negative experience: Their error and I came far from across town in an uber got all the way to the door and they said they couldn’t see me because I was 15 min late their ERROR!! I took an uber for my own health issues and my son’s silver cap fell out something they put in and now he can’t be seen?? Again YOUR ERROR WHY DID IT FALL OUT?!! they should be trying their best to fix the issue but instead made an issue my son been coming here since he was 3 and never have I ever been late never have I ever gave them an issue never!! Until today I am reporting them to the Dental association and to my insurance… watch out yall because if they make a mistake they ain’t fixing it instead they will turn you away!!

Negative experience: I have been bringing both of my children to Cosmic Dental for the past four years, and Dr. Hon has always been such a pleasure to work with. Unfortunately, as of yesterday, I have decided not to return due to an unpleasant and disappointing experience with the fill-in hygienist, Mr. Patel. During our visit, the two young ladies assisting with my son’s X-rays were patient and kind. My son, who is autistic and non-verbal, was having a difficult time since it was his first experience with dental X-rays. Rather than offering understanding or support, Mr. Patel stopped working on another patient to interject, stating that he didn’t know if he would be able to work with my child because of his “combative behavior.” Mr. Patel never introduced himself, nor did he take a moment to understand why my son was struggling. He suggested we “come back another day when he has had a nap or food.” His tone, facial expressions, and overall demeanor were dismissive and unprofessional. Autism is a journey that requires patience, empathy, and understanding. Had Mr. Patel taken the time to listen or observe, he might have learned something valuable about working with children on the spectrum. Instead, he chose judgment over compassion. When I attempted to explain, he simply walked away—with an expression of disgust. At that point, I stopped the X-rays and left the office with my children. I would never allow Mr. Patel to treat my children—or anyone else’s. His behavior was not only unprofessional but a reflection of poor character and lack of empathy. I sincerely hope that Dr. Hon finds staff who embody the professionalism, patience, and compassion that his practice was once known for. This office is not autism-friendly. Parents of children with special needs should be aware—if your toddler is “combative,” “tired,” or “hungry,” as Mr. Patel put it, this may not be the right place for you. The same moment Mr. Patel chose to judge could have been an opportunity to show grace, humility, and understanding—but sadly, he did not.

Fantastic experience: Check up was quick and thorough. Staff were great, friendly and patient with my 4 year old. They even provide coffee in the waiting room & a little goodie bag for my kiddo after the routine was done. Great dentistry !

Fantastic experience: We always have nothing but good experiences here! The dentists do great with my kids whom have had bad experiences at other dental offices. They are always kind and take there time. They take the extra time to make sure you understand everything going on with your kiddos oral hygiene. They take the extra time to teach you any tips or tricks they feel will help you and your kiddos.

Fantastic experience: We love this place. Staff is always nice, the dentist does a great job of engaging the child and informing them of their teeth in a way they can understand. My kiddo mopes about going just because she doesn't want her teeth touched, but she likes the staff and dentist. They acknowledge that the staff try their best to minimize any pain or discomfort and that they are caring.

Fantastic experience: My son is 5 with autism, this was first dentist visit, and everyone on the staff was great. Yadira was amazing and explained everything to him so well. First he didn't want to go, now he can't wait to go back!

Fantastic experience: My three kids have been going here for about 4 years for my two older daughters and my youngest it’ll be about 3 years. I can’t believe it has been that long since we first started coming here for all of my kids dental needs. They have it all from cleanings to minor dental work like fillings to braces! The whole staff is amazing very professional and friendly and very accommodating. They work with you and your insurance to get you the most affordable and maximum coverage possible through your insurance. They even accept Medicaid. Dr. Hon and Dr. Kim (orthodontist) are the doctors my kids mainly see but if they aren’t available they have I believe 5 other doctors who are equally qualified and they all have excellent bedside manners. From the receptionist to the dental techs and the doctors you will receive outstanding care and service! The office is always clean and they decorate the front according to holidays/ seasons and they even showcase all the pictures their patients color/ draw. They also have these star pillows which fit in with the whole cosmic theme. I highly recommend this place for all your little one’s dental needs. They even try to do fun raffles during summertime for example they gave out two free tickets to Cowabunga Bay this past summer no appointment needed to join the raffle. Also Dr. Hon gives out his personal phone number in case parents have questions or need assistance with any dental emergencies that may arise. They definitely make you feel more like family instead of patients. Love this place and so do my kiddos!

Fantastic experience: I’ve seen my share of children dentist and I must say Dr. Larry Hon is by far the greatest dentist he has the patience and ability to make the dentist visit fun for the children and parents.

Dr.larry Hon explain everything about cavities and sugar etc to my kids it was a mind blowing because they learn so much now they definitely will take care more of there teeth thank to the beautiful staffs in the front office that help me so much . Fantastic experience: My 18 month old son decided to fall on his face against a coffee table prior to our morning flight to Las Vegas causing his front tooth to become out of place. There was no time to go to a pediatric dentist prior to our flight, but we found Dr. Hon. His staff was excellent with registering and getting us an appointment remotely that same afternoon. Once we were there, Dr. Hon cared for my child who wasn’t receptive about anyone looking in his mouth that day and verbalized this with his shrieks. Dr. Hon handled this and the subsequent procedure to reduce the out of place tooth with true, calm professionalism. His bedside matter with my child and explaining the situation, our options, the risks/benefits, the procedure as he was performing it, and the aftercare was exceptional. My wife and I were extremely impressed and would establish care at this office if we still lived there.

Update: My youngest daughter, who is now three years old, has also been receiving care from this dental practice. She genuinely enjoys her visits, which is a testament to the exceptional staff. Fantastic experience: I’d give 10 stars if I could!! Dr Hon is absolutely a fantastic doctor, who is clearly very passionate about his work. He started the appointment off educating me about cavities and really taught me new and helpful information I had never known before. He treated my daughter with compassion and was as gentle as possible!! The dental techs were absolute angels. Very motherly and caring and sweet towards my daughter. They made us feel very comfortable. Last but not least, the girl at the front desk Giselle. She has been so helpful and amazing and kind getting my children scheduled for ASAP appointments for concerns. The office is very well maintained and has a peaceful feeling. Very happy here!!

Fantastic experience: A few weeks ago, my daughter fell and injured her tooth. Dr. Larry took care of her and I can’t thank him enough. He was incredibly patient and answered all my questions without a hint of frustration. He was so gentle and kind with my daughter, which really helped calm her down during such a painful and scary moment. Dr. Larry also explained what to watch for in the coming days and used helpful images to guide us. He made sure we understood how to care for the injury at home. It’s clear he truly loves what he does and genuinely cares about his young patients. We’re so grateful to have found such a compassionate and trustworthy pediatric dentist!!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: I just Love Comic Kid's Dental. This place is clean comfortable, and a friendly place. The staffs is amazing with the great experience that I have through our all my appointments with my Kiddos.

Fantastic experience: Great experience! Dr. Hon and his team are friendly , caring and patient which is extremely important with little kids. My two small daughters were scared of getting xrays and getting their teeth brushed and Dr. Hon and their team were patient and went at my kids pace to ensure the xrays and teeth brushing still got done. Dr. Hon went the extra mile to show you and explain in detail as to educate you on why your child needs dental treatment and how to try to help keep their teeth healthy without sounding condescending. The team made sure the girls felt comfortable and happy in their appointment. My girls liked his magic trick. They got a little toothbrush pack at the end of their visit along with a coin to get a toy from their toy machine. He made their experience a positive one and they can't wait to go back. He makes sure he is available whenever your kid needs dental treatment.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Hon is amazing, knowledgeable and very welcoming. Definitely makes me and my kids feel comfortable. He’s doesn’t pass out anesthesia like candy either and I love that most about his office.

Negative experience: If I could give a negative star I would. Terrible customer service and awful communication. The Dr. made my daughter cry multiple times by yelling at her about her braces when in fact it was the way they were bonded rather than any fault of her own. The one assistant admitted this and was wonderful yet is no longer working there for good reason I’m sure. The Dr. suggested my daughter basically go on a liquid diet so the braces don’t fall off. Sick. Also the office is always dirty, doors on cabinets falling off, and broken equipment.

Negative experience: If I could give one star I would. The amount of times we’ve been scheduled for an ortho appointment for 1+ months out just to be texted that it needs to be rescheduled. I call and the next appointment isn’t for another month away. Unacceptable when brackets are broken and not fixed for months on end. Take your kids anywhere else but here. There is no legit dental care happening and it’s all for cash. Edited to add after the response. I called the day before the reschedule was needed to confirm the appointment and set up a normal cleaning for my other children. When calling today to reschedule the appointment due to the text and explaining the frustration to the girl who answered the phone. She somehow was able to “fit me in” an hour before my already scheduled appointment… The first reason given was doc was going to be out of office.. How does an orthodontist personally schedule the next appointment day, a month previously at our appointment but then Need to reschedule 4 days before, after it’s already confirmed by the front desk staff. At our last appointment 4 weeks ago, no broken brackets were fixed nor were wires tightened. We were also not seen by the actual ortho. Just an assistant. I’m concerned about the amount of brackets my child has broken. Only so many broken brackets are covered by insurance. We’ve only had the braces for 4 months and my child has already gone through the allotted amount of replacements from insurance . I now have to pay out of pocket for them to be replaced at 35.00 a piece. I’m currently looking at spending more than 150 at the next visit.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love this office, he explains things so well, and actually teaches the parents how to care for teeth properly. I have had a few different dentists for my children and will never be switching dentists again. Every person in this office is so incredibly kind!

Negative experience: The doctors are great. However the front desk staff or whomever it is that checks the insurance companies is awful. I just finished speaking to Giselle and she was rude and not helpful at all. She keeps stating that my daughter has a different primary insurance when she clearly doesn’t . I haven’t worked at that job for over a year. I even did a three way call with her and my insurance and she still stated that she has to follow what the website states even though my insurance company told her that I don’t have any other plans besides them. She stated that since I’ve had this on going issue for over 6 months now that I’m more than welcome to find a different dental office. Which at this point I will. The incompetence in this young lady was ridiculous. I would NOT recommend cosmic dental purely because of the staff!

Fantastic experience: Our little has been a patient here for a couple of years. We loved our experience here every time. The staff and doc are not only knowledgeable but so very kind and patient. Our kid always felt comfortable and the doc even helped us with a knarly tooth situation haha. We moved 45 minutes away and tried a new dentist. That was a big mistake. Not was that office over priced, and rude (nothing like this office/doc) but the treatment plan they wanted to sell us was medically unnecessary. So happy we are back under this doctor’s care. I cannot recommend him enough. THE LIVE HE HAS FOR HIS CRAFT AND PRACTICE IS OBVIOUS. we are here until our little ages out of pediatric dental care.
