Negative experience: Do yourself a favor and run very far from this practice. Went there to have veneers done and they recommended I consult with a periodontist first. Paid for work to be done and completed by the periodontist, but he said I needed additional work done. Went back to Dr. Harris for a second opinion and she told me it looked fine and they could do the veneers. Was told would have them in 3-4 weeks. Over 100 days later they finally get put in. In the meantime, multiple visits (5 or 6) to have repairs made to my temporaries, because they are not made to last in your mouth for over 100 days. Have to go back to have one of my veneers checked, sat in the waiting room over 45 minutes beyond my appointment time, go back and sit in the chair and wait another 20 minutes before walking out without being treated. I set up an appt for a cleaning and the day prior was told that Kelly refused to do my cleaning due to work still needing to be done at the periodontist. What? she cleared me for the veneers and is now refusing to treat me? Additionally, paid for veneers, mold for night guard and when I went in to get fitted, they told me I owed another $602. I walked out. Overall, great people but have no clue on how to run an office or a business. Made multiple attempts to call Dr. Harris to discuss these issues and she has someone else make the call instead. Very poor from my perspective and will take my business elsewhere.

Negative experience: Terrible customer service. Called ahead to inquire cost. They quoted $65. I get to appointment. Cost is now $280.00!! Beware of the bait and switch!

Negative experience: Made a appointment with them because my husband had a tooth infection. Welas told the would not call him in a prescription till the Dr. Saw him but couldn't see him till the following week. I had to call his primary to get a antibiotic because they were not going to help till his appointment. The day of the appointment I called to confirm a time and was told I didn't have a appointment!! They took my # to call me back and I still haven't heard back from them. Don't waste your time because your health and time isn't important here.

Fantastic experience: I love the staff here and the doctor goes out of her way to make sure you’re comfortable, I have a ton of anxiety about dentists as I have had abuse from a dentist as a child, so sedation is the only way I can get dental work but she made me so comfortable that I can do some things without sedation. Amazing office

Negative experience: I started going to Kelly a few years ago and since then she's picked up a tremendous amount of customers she's doing it all herself so the client doesn't receive the care they should I had a molar break she pulled the tooth didn't bother to notice that it wasn't all of the tooth she couldn't get socket closed properly after 3 times so it got infected which I've had for 5 months finally was able to get into a oral surgeon and finally get it taken care of. She needs to hire another dentist because she can't do it all and do it right at this point anybody that's thinking about going to her I would highly recommend finding the nearest veterinarian you would be better off !!!!! ALL ABOUT THE MONEY

Negative experience: I was surprised by a different hygienist, but it was made worse by a mix up in who was doing who. I arrived to get my hygiene with Cruze, but was surprised to find out, it was going to be Brandy today. Next a Stefanie invited me to her room not Brandy. I mentioned that, but was assured that Stefanie was going to do the job. As we were reviewing today's bill, I noticed a different patient at the top, when we realized I was indeed in the wrong room and I was shown to Brandy's room. Brandy was nice but not all hygienists are equally talented to minimize the discomfort. Unfortunately, Brandy was not living up to the standards of Aimee and Cruze.. Also, I missed feedback from Brandy on conditions of my dental conditions, which I am used to get. I find that desirable. Sorry, this was not good!

Negative experience: I can't speak to their abilities as a dental office but trying to get insurance related items worked out with this practice was an absolute nightmare. Not only did I never get the form I asked them to fill out and sign, but they sent me a request for records that had been sent in by an entirely different patient, and then sent me a bill for a different patient. Every time I called, I had to explain myself over again, messages that were left were never returned and when the form eventually was sent (to the wrong email address, might I add), whoever answered the phone for the next few days that I called had no idea that it had been sent. I managed to get this resolved myself but I will never use this practice and would caution anyone looking for anything that is not 100% covered by insurance to avoid them entirely.

Fantastic experience: I was very pleased with my dental cleaning. Stephanie was very thorough, professional and humorous. She explained the cleaning process very cleared. I commend Stephanie and Bradenton Smiles for the outstanding work.

Negative experience: Kelly is a wonderful dentist but the billing department is horrible. I was given an estimate for a new denture, talked into relining the one that was gagging me and made sure that I would not be charged any extra. I was absolutely assured that was final price, this is over a thousand dollars mind you. Well, I pay and go through the fitting and thinking I'm getting a call that it was done, but I get told I owe 800 more dollars. This literally brought me to tears and I had to cancel the whole thing cause I had already spent all my savings. They issued me a refund but deducted around 300 dollars saying it was lab fees.

Negative experience: I was able to get an emergency dentist apt. within 24 hours of asking…too good to be true, right? Upon arriving 15 minutes early of my scheduled apt., I was told they needed my insurance information. The receptionist told me that “delta dental is really hard to work with” and “hopefully she will be able to get a hold of them soon so we won’t have to reschedule for tomorrow”. Why did no one ask me for insurance information when I scheduled the apt.? After all, someone was able to send me three text reminders of my upcoming apt. The receptionist struggling to still reach my insurance company then asks if I have a phone number for them. I am able to get her the phone number for my dental insurance. When she gets off of the phone from them, she calls me back up to the desk. I am then told that my insurance company anthem, is going to take another 30 minutes to send all of the insurance information to them. She also goes on to add that since it is now 30 minutes after my scheduled apt time, I will need to come back tomorrow. I explained to her that I just drove 40 minutes to arrive 15 minutes early to a scheduled apt. and because two different insurance companies are difficult to work with, I am told I now have to reschedule? She then had the audacity to lie to me and tell me that she tried to call me earlier that morning but I sent the call to voicemail. I asked her what time she called and what number she was calling in from so I could check it against my miss calls. She told me she “she wouldn’t even know what number it would come in as”. And if I really did send her to voicemail like she says I did, why would she not have left a message explaining to me the information she was going to need? I would have gladly called her back! So my emergency visit was spent being told by the receptionist that Delta is really hard to work with, Anthem takes a half hour to compile information and none of the blame lies on her because I didn’t answer her fictitious phone call from earlier that morning. Upon writing this review, I also noticed a previous review that speaks of a similar incident. This business does not respect or value anyone else’s time but their own.

Fantastic experience: I made a new client appointment for my 87yo mother in law with dementia. She had broke a tooth and needed the roots removed to avoid infection. I was able to schedule the appointment for the next day. They completed the whole procedure during the visit and didn’t try to upsell us a bunch of other procedures for her other teeth. Positive experience: We have been going to Bradenton Smiles for years. We even left briefly for another local dentist but returned to Dr. Harris. That said, my last dental hygiene was quite different. There were no numbers given when the pockets were examined. We've been trained to gauge our dental health progress in that way. We've also been trained to expect the dentist to visit after the cleaning. That didn't happen either. Disappointed.

Positive experience: Dr. Harris is very nice but we waited 2 hours to see her for a consult. Her quote was also double what another dentist office quoted.

Fantastic experience: Had a great first visit! Got to see the dentist and met my new hydenist to get teeth cleaned at one appointment. Very thorough review and treatment plan with no surprises as they triple checked insurance plan to seek all coverage. And a goody bag with brush and toothpaste! Bonus!!

Positive experience: Every other visit was 5 star, unfortunately not this week's visit. My hygienist rushed through my cleaning. Dr. Harris did not check in after the cleaning even though a particular tooth has been on the watch list for awhile. In addition, I had a mouth sore that I wanted the dentist to look at but hygienist took it upon herself to say Dr. Harris wouldn't treat or diagnose it. Wish I had heard that from a dentist not a hurried hygienist.

Fantastic experience: Great customer service and everything went smoothly and hopefully it’ll always continue that way. I really liked the office and the staff. I did a good job all of them.

Positive experience: I was very impressed with most of my experience at Bradenton Smiles Dentistry. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. I saw one dental hygienist who was wonderful. She was very personable and did a great job communicating what she was doing. However, one person in the office (Carolyn) was horrible. She mislead me on the telephone. Then when I was in the office and found out that after spending an hour, I needed to come back to get anything done. This was after I explained my situation and desires when I made the appointment as well as the morning of my appointment. I called back to the office to provide my positive and negative feedback about my experience. My feedback regarding Carolyn was immediately dismissed. Perhaps Carolyn was having a bad day. However, once my feedback was summarily dismissed, I won't be going back to this dental office.

Negative experience: My husband was seen in February 2023 and had extensive work done at Bradenton Smiles. He had to pay cash until our insurance paid the claim. They called us in September 2023 to say that after the insurance paid, we were due a refund. Husband asked if he could get a cleaning to use up the credit. They said no, because first he would have to get ANOTHER full set of xrays and another exam, all of which would cost several hundred more dollars. So we said, ok just give us the refund. They said it would have to be mailed. I offered to come in and pick it up. No, can't do that because it has to go through their OUT OF STATE billing office. I asked when to expect it. Was told sometime in May!! Well, here we are in August 2024 and we still have not received a cent! I called today and was first told it was mailed 7/25/2024. As I pressed for more information, then she (Ashley J.) admitted she didn't know if it was mailed or not and had no way to confirm that. I asked for a phone number for this billing office and she didn't have one! I asked where it was and she said "Heartland". I said where is that? She said "Effington, Ohio". I tried googling it and she lied, it's in Illinois. Regardless, there's no way to contact them either. I know one thing, if I owed THEM money all this time, I'd be sent to a collection agency! But it's OK for them to rob us! I'm not yet sure where to go from here, but this is my first step. And I will spread our story to as many people as I can.

Fantastic experience: Wow! I hadn't been to a dentist in quite sometime. Trying to find one that could see me this century was also a challenge. Then I stumbled upon Bradenton Smiles on Facebook. I immediately got an appointment. The office is lovely, the staff is incredibly kind, and they talked me through every cost, procdure, etc. I dread xrays, because those plastic pieces can be painful. My technician did everything she could to make it gentle and pain free! I even got a next day appointment for my cleaning and for my filling. My filling was done with such care and I loved Dr. Harris. She was patient and I think finally fixed a filling that was done terribly years ago. This place is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Everything that could go wrong did electronically, but it was fixed without any problems and even though I had not done my part prior to my appointment (my bad) I was still seen and my cleaning could be set up along with other work that needs to be done. Fantastic experience: Dr Harris is awesome. She gave me a new smile. I was not an invisiline candidate due to an overbite. It was advised to go to an oral surgeon to change my jaw, and then to an orthodontist for conventional braces before any cosmetic work. Dr Harris gave me a new bite with my new smile. I couldn’t be happier. Instead of years of treatment and surgery she was able to give me a stable bite with crowns and veneers.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing facility and staff! Highly recommend for cutting edge dentistry. My husband and I were referred to this office because they offer sedation dentistry. My husband, who has a fear of needles and the dentist, was made to feel comfortable and well taken care of. They were patient with us as we worked through treatment planning, and the sedation procedure got all of his main restorative work taken care of wonderfully. We are still in the middle of his treatment plan and moving on to the next steps, but I am excited for the end product when he has his full smile! Also, for my own appointment I learned that they offer a product that is new in the industry and helps to actually remineralize your enamel if you catch things early enough. While I did not have cavities, I had spots to keep an eye on, so this product (I cannot recall the name of it) was amazing to have offered.

Fantastic experience: As a lifelong “hate going to the dentist” person this was maybe the best experience and office I’ve experienced. Dr Harris was tremendous, the staff is friendly, and genuinely happy to be there, and most of all they really make sure you are comfortable in every facet of the visit, from the procedure to pricing to the overall experience. And special praise to Hannah the assistant who couldn’t be better at her job. 5 stars and closer to 6 than 4.

Positive experience: Overall good. Dental assistant was nice, but I didn't enjoy being questioned why I hadn't been there in over a year like I was a criminal. That was annoying! The hygienist was a bit rude. She jabbed my gums with the sharp instrument, then had the nerve to get sassy when I flinched. I definitely said something to her. I like the dentist, she's always nice and professional.

Fantastic experience: Have always had a great experience at this Dental practice and my recent visit was no different. I even had a “temp” hygienist, however she was top notch! I was in and out, on time and LOVE that I can book my own appointments online!

Fantastic experience: One late afternoon, while eating, my upper canine tooth just broke off (due to an apparent hairline fracture I was not aware of). I called the dentist office 5 minutes prior to closing; asking that they see me as soon as possible. Despite a full schedule, the staff & Dr. did see me the following day, and extracted the now broken tooth. With followup appointments set to replace the extracted tooth. Simply outstanding support for my dental emergency.

Fantastic experience: I recently had a root canal procedure, and it went flawlessly. This was the only root canal I have ever gotten, and I was concerned it would be a painful experience. The whole process went much better than I expected. They were able to perform the root canal the same day we discovered I needed one. I experienced no pain during the procedure, and Dr. Harris explained what she was doing throughout the process. She was very thorough, and took her time to make sure everything was done perfectly. I will continue to go to Bradenton Smiles Dentistry, and I have referred several friends and family members to them since my last visit.
