Fantastic experience: Not only is this place absolutely beautiful, but the staff and the doctor met the eloquent decor. Everyone was extremely friendly from the time I entered the door. I appreciate the varied options and the demonstrated example. Examples used to help better understand those options. What a great touch! I am looking forward to the dental improvement. I believe I will receive. This was my first visit and I know that there will be at least 3 to 4 visits to follow overtime. Fantastic experience: Got referred by Yomaly. It was my first time visiting a dentist office in a long time and it was such a wonderful experience. From checking in to meeting with Brooke and the doctor after, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The environment was awesome and I loved it. I’m definitely coming back and I’d recommend it for anyone trying to get any dental work done.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Jivraj is an extremely talented and knowledgeable prosthodontist who obviously loves the work he does. He really cares for the whole patient and bases his recommendations on what will be best for that patient even if it means recommending that work does not need to be done at the time or at all. His quality is outstanding and he warranties his work. He will never try to upsell you and will take whatever time is needed to explain the options to you. Dr. Jivraj works with patience, passion and integrity. He is completely trustworthy. Our family was very lucky to find him many years ago.

Fantastic experience: I had been considering implants for a long time. I prerty much watched every Dental Ad or short video . Until my husband came across the ad on his social media page (Imstagram). He wstched the short video and googled Anacapa Dental. He was very impressed with the information provided. He told me he found the perfect match for me. Immediately following made the appointment. Staff is amazing. Very friendly. The place is well kept, clean and state of the art. I was impressed with the imaging done. Dr. Saj Jivraj was beyond clear and helpful while he explained the process and my treatment plan. I am very excited to get my smile back soon.

Fantastic experience: I visited Anacapa Dental Art Institute a few months ago, but I was so afraid of dentists and surgeons that I started doubting all of them. Today, October 29, 2025, I needed urgent help with my dental issues. I have a very large cavity, and Doctor Jivraj was incredibly gentle and kind. He took me in as an emergency patient and began addressing my issues right away. On Monday, I will have a root canal at his office, followed by a crown. The entire staff is very kind and helpful—Alexandra is especially pleasant and welcoming. Thank you so much, Doctor Jivraj and Alexandra, for your care and kindness!

Negative experience: I was extremely happy with Anacapa Dental Institute. From the time I walked in until I left all of the Staff and Doctor were so helpful and nice. They worked with me on my financing and, the Doctor explained everything he was going to do step by step which made me feel so much better. I have never given Anacapa Dental institute a review I am not sure who wrote this but it was not me I was told I could get implants on my bottom teeth for 5666 I believed that was going to get implants completely around my mouth on bottom after they stabilize my bone I assumed I would still Get implants around my bottom jaw.Dr J on the last day of fitting my mouth with my plate it was hurting so bad I can’t even eat anymore.He knew I wasn’t coming back because I was moving out of state. So he put 2 very small implants in front of the of the bottom jaw .He told me he couldn’t put any implants in back of my plate because I did not have enough bone he knew that the X-ray shows He never bothered telling that before hand. . I told him the back of plate was flipping and flopping he told me put two small amount dental paste on the back of the plate on each side. My mouth is so sore I can’t even eat all do is cry because I can’t eat and it hurts so bad.I told the manager what was wrong but she hung up on me . I wanted my money back I felt like I deserved it I would never recommend anyone one to go there for implants.

I was extremely nervous about moving forward with my implant, but she made me feel extremely at ease and confident about the movements that we’re going to be taking place. The scaling I had today was totally painless. Update: Other visit. I asked for an emergency appointment yesterday morning , and I was seen the same day, even though the office was just on its first day of reopening and had a big back up. Excellent service as usual. All the staff there do their best to make you comfortable. Update in 2021: I went in for my dental cleaning today, and as always, was greeted by name as soon as I went through the door. You can tell that the hygienist totally loves her job and is a perfectionist 2022 December update: today I had my new hygienist. Amber, who was wonderful. She gave a lot of details on the procedures, was very meticulous and attentive to my comfort. 2023, April update: I am still very satisfied with the excellent work Amber, the hygienist, does. She is so meticulous! The staff in the office are also very friendly. I live a one-hour drive away, but it is totally worth it, as the service is so superior to what I experienced in my home town. Update September 2025: the gentleman at the reception who had been here a few months is super nice! Great addition to their team.

Fantastic experience: I have had a wonderful experience here. I interviewed 6 different dentists before coming to see Dr. J. The moment I walked in, I felt comfortable. I was immediately greeted by friendly front staff Pedro, who welcomed me, and gave me a tour. I'm big on customer service, and Pedro does not disappoint. Pedro has been there for me every step of the way. I felt supported and cared for. I needed a full bar of upper teeth. I was also happy to learn that everything is done in house, in one building. Dr. J and his assistant were professional and kind. He has a very calming accent and way about him. He is gentle and patient. I am now 5 months from surgery, and very happy with my experience here. Everyone in this office is fantastic. Definitely a 5 star review from me. Im looking forward to my final result. So excited.

Negative experience: After an hr.drive to oxnard,find out the price was 4 times higher then if I wanted to do from A to Z, on my mouth ,they coded me $ 70,000,00 dollars just to make me 2 complete arch. Not with implant ,just for the teeth, And further more, they didn't even sell me Tempbond, for making me comfortable, wow. Another money graber for us.

Fantastic experience: I can't emphasize enough, how grateful I am to be a patient of Dr. Jivraj. I will never forget the first time I saw his commercials as a teen. That marked moment solidified his knowledge and years of practice. We really trust just ANY dentist with our teeth. Dr. Jivraj is so meticulous and mindful of the teeth, health and one's bone structure. I myself, am incredibly critical of guest service, price scaling and results. I hoped for the best and prepared myself for mere adequacy. Never in my life, did I think Dr. Jivraj would not just blow my "best expectations" out of the water, but erase the need for further cosmetic procedures I anticipated needing from loss of bone! With pictures from my youth, he was able to create the prosthetics to sit in a place that almost erased the recession in my top lip/bone that would have required lip filler. I genuinely hope I'm explaining this correctly, as I am immensely amazed with Dr. Jivraj and his wondrous talent and skill. He not only made teeth mimicking my teeth as a young adult, he far exceeded the health and beautiful appearance of them. These teeth are nicer and more beautiful than when I removed my braces as a teen. It sounds crazy, but I never thought I'd love all on four dentures MORE than my adult teeth at their best. I ESPECIALLY appreciate the experience that lends his staff the professionalism and empathy I needed so desperately at the time. I had gone a couple of years with most of my teeth missing and ill fitting dentures I was promised would be worth pulling all my teeth for. I was depressed, hopeless and in a negative place. Alexandria, the office manager was kind and ready for my fear and at times, hostility. I feel like she is and was knowledgeable of the emotional strife that drastically impacts a person's disposition when they face a toothless existence at a young( ish) age. I can't express enough gratitude for their tolerance. I was scared and fearing results similar to that which I had been experiencing with many other dentists and surgeons. Alexandria has always been incredibly kind and immensely helpful. It wouldn't have happened without her care and work. She has been like a friend in this process and has earned my avid respect. Dr. Jivraj and his staff are the best thing that has happened to me. For health and beautiful results! Alexandria worked with me in thoughtfulness to attain the cost of everything. I feel that great results matter as much as profit ( if not more sometimes) and helping me pay for the best results ( more work done) was the goal. Negative experience: I came to Anacapa Dental for sleep Apena oral appliance with the chip for data. After two visits and several pics. End result the don’t add the chip for data!

Negative experience: Expensive!! My dentist referred me here, so I automatically trusted going here and didn't research it. The people I talked to were nice and I don't doubt the quality of the work they do, but I just needed an implant crown tightened and they wanted to charge me $750. In a different state at my old dentist it would cost $189. Here's what I found when I asked Google: "To re-screw a loose implant crown in California, the cost can vary depending on several factors: Simple tightening of an abutment screw: This typically costs between $150 and $400. Re-cementing the crown: If the crown has become loose but is still in good condition, re-cementing it might cost between $200 and $350" Just be aware of what you're getting into.

Fantastic experience: I am so happy with the veneers on my 4 top front teeth. It has been quite a journey for me with Dr. Jivraj and the staff. We started with many of my front teeth needing to be rebuilt after throat cancer and ended with veneers on 4 and bonding on the rest. Dr. J and all of the staff have been wonderful. Even though I live 2 hours away I even go there to get my teeth cleaned!

Fantastic experience: I must start off by saying, I have only had a consultation because I am unable to afford the extensive work that I need done but after Pedro taking his time to get to know me, and going out of his way to try and make this as easy and cost effective as possible, taking the time to fully explain to me what needs to be done, how it would be done and why it should be done and after going through the worst pain I have ever experienced due to the extensive infection. He prescribed me some antibiotics, I'm here 5 days later and I can’t even think about going anywhere else to have this done. Even though the thought of having this procedure done scares me to my bone, multiple people have told me great things about anacapa and I don't ever want to go through that pain again. I am going to do what I have too to have this done. I highly recommend going to them for at least a consultation at this point and I will update my review after my mouth is worked on.
