It’s rare to find someone who combines such high technical skill with a great communication skills. The reception staff always makes clients feel at home. I truly miss Dr Hoffman, who is a wonderful dentist and was so personable, making the entire visit a positive experience from start to finish.. Sorry to see her leave the staff.

At her former pediatric dentist, she could not get x-rays done, but here she did it no problem. My whole family loves the providers in this office.

Fantastic experience: Everyone here is SO nice and accommodating...they act like they are truly happy ro see you, and want to make you as comfortable as possible! Dr. SMILEY is especially kind and gentle, asking regularly if you are OK or need a break. I am so happy I found this place my kids and I both love it! (I saw that the 1 negative review said that these were obviously paid reviews...well, that's just sour grapes. I got a text asking politely for a review, and happily gave it because of the great service. Nothing was given to me for my review.)

Fantastic experience: UPDATE I have, since my first review had a bunch of work done on my teeth at West Springfield Dental Arts and honestly I have lost my fear of dentists. Dr. Swayne is the BEST dentist ever and everyone at the office is just AMAZING! LAST YEAR’S REVIEW I am a very nervous dental patient. However, my experience with West Springfield dental arts was excellent. I had a chipped tooth and needed urgent assistance. I immediately got an appointment, and when I got to the office, the staff was wonderful, respectful and kind. My doctor, Doctor Swayne and her assistant were considerate and wonderful. I needed numbing to get the tooth fixed. Amazingly, the shot and the dental work were pain free. Best dental visit. I will be going back for more work. Hopefully every appointment is like the first one!!

Fantastic experience: for years I have relied on you to remind me of my appointment. this has not happened the last two times and I have paid $50 fines. when I called for a re appointment I asked that I have my regular hygienist. I got the impression that that had been done since I had to accept an 8 am appointment. that was not the case

Fantastic experience: My husband and I have been patients of West Springfield Dental Arts (WSDA) for many years specifically because of the high caliber of their care, the caring and friendly manner of their staff, and their willingness to go the extra mile in an emergency. As an example, I broke a temporary crown recently. I called WSDA, and they scheduled me that very morning to have my temporary crown replaced. Tracie, the very talented and kind dental technician, made and installed my new temporary crown, and in 30 minutes I was on my way. Dr. Neal Charaipotra is my WSDA dentist, and he is also outstanding in his skill and his kindness.

Positive experience: Dental experience was fine, however they will give you treatments that are not covered by your insurance without consultation. They lack communication and transparency to make money.

Negative experience: I would be cautious of this place. I have been going for almost 2 years, and never in my life have I had so many dental issues (habits and health have not changed). They’ve managed to siphon over $3000 out of my own pocket. I’ve seen some of the reviews online and it’s obvious that they’re money driven. I had an entire root canal and crown done because they told me I needed to do that to get rid of my sensitivity. I had a suspicion it was something else causing the sensitivity, and a crown, root canal, and $1200 later… turns out I was correct. I went to another dentist to get a second opinion, and now it’s clear they’ve got their priorities a bit mixed up!

Fantastic experience: The warmest group of people that make every visit a personal experience. I have never had a bad experience. I feel they go out of their way to make you feel the most comfortable you can possibly be in a dental office- and that's saying something!

Fantastic experience: All I can do is echo the positive reviews already posted. I retired in 2021 and lost my inexpensive corporate dental plan. As a result, I've let professional cleanings and check-ups slide. I lost the top of a crown a couple of weeks ago (Note to self: AVOID Salt Water Taffy!) and the same day received a New Patient advert in the mail, promising a full cleaning and exam at a great price. WSDA was able to see me on fairly short notice and I was thoroughly impressed by every aspect of the practice. Ellie, the Hygenist, was terrific, and Dr. Hoffman did an excellent job of laying out (and prioritizing) the work that my aging teeth would require. (Despite a lifetime of good dental care, nuthin' lasts forever...) Included were realistic cost estimates. As many retirees will appreciate, most private dental insurance plans are pricy and don't cover all that much. WSDA offers its own BlueDental insurance plan with discounts that range from 15-25%. Count me among WSDA's MANY satisfied clients, and I look forward to a long term relationship.

He went out of his way to fit me in for a much-needed deep cleaning, and during the visit, he also discovered a chipped tooth that required a root canal. He made sure I was scheduled quickly before the issue got worse. What really stood out to me was how thoughtful Dr. Charaipotra was in recommending the most cost-effective treatment plan. Too many dentists try to upsell unnecessary procedures, but here, I genuinely felt they were looking out for my health and my wallet. After two pediatric dentist consults and being told it was nothing, Dr. Smiley took his pain seriously. Also noteworthy is the front office staff who are consistently welcoming and efficient, along with the dentist's clinical assistants and dental hygienists. In particular, dental assistant, Chaunte, has been with the practice for 5+ years, and her experience and ability to make patients comfortable and valued is an asset to the practice. Ashley has been my dental hygienist for a long time and going to her for cleanings is a delightful experience. I consider myself lucky to have been with this practice over the years and am grateful for the complex work they've done to keep my mouth as healthy as possible. I've been treated by several other dentists in the practice along the way and they're all top notch.

He's very knowledgeable, takes his time with the patiant, discusses alternatives and is conservative in his approach to dental medicine, which I particularly like. You should offer him an opportunity to permanently join the practice that he cannot refuse!

Fantastic experience: The entire staff is wonderful! The doctors take their time with the patients and dont rush through appointments. I've been a patient for over 20 years now and have always had great care. Also love that over the 20+ years they keep up technologically, both with text/email reminders/communications and with the office equipment. The office always looks newly renovated and everything is spotless too!

Fantastic experience: I just had my teeth cleaned. Calvin was my dental hygienist. It was absolutely the best dental experience I have ever had. I am 60, so perhaps in 54 years. Also, Dr. Hoffman has taken care of my dental health for many years, and I trust her 100 percent - not only in her recommendations, but also in the quality of her craftsmanship. I want to end with, Calvin is the absolute best dental hygienist I have ever encountered!!
