Fantastic experience: I had my first appointment at this dental office and was very impressed. The staff was on time, which I truly appreciated. The dentist and dental assistant were both very professional, kind, and attentive. They took the time to explain the process and made me feel comfortable throughout the visit. It was a very positive experience, and I’m glad I chose this office.

Negative experience: I’m sure the dentists are as great as these glowing reviews, but reception is condescending and belittling. A conversation I had with one of the reception ladies was that, condescending, maybe it was because it was morning time or she hates her job, but whatever the case was, I really hope the establishment treats their workers well so that their workers can treat potential customers better. Because America won’t do anything about it, all I have is google reciews to vent my frustrations. Not a straightforward process, its not told or written at any point that insurance needs verification 73 hours prior, that your insurance would potentially disqualify you from service EVEN AFTER the website tells you youre in the clear. The reception desk texts (at least for me) requests for usually in office procedures like verifying insurance over the phone/SMS and claims that they were trying to get in touch. If that were the case, you woulda just texted me the impertinent details of the business’ insurance issue; as YOU HAVE BEEN. I called them back the same day to ask if I would be gettigg mg charged, as I had noticed there were signs inside saying they would charge for broken appts- i remember putting my billing address on the registration forms. The woman-same one i spoke to in person- wants to be, again, belittling and condescending asking if she charged me. I don’t know ma’am, I’m asking if you will..anyway. I hope this review enlightens the business even a little bit, just another jab to young adults navigating this unfair world of healthcare.

Fantastic experience: I liked my first visit. I needed a new upper denture. The doctor made suggestions which I felt were in my best interest. Since I do not have a dentist, I will go here for dental services in the future.

Positive experience: The cleaning didn't hurt this time because i flossed everyday this year to prepare. The fear of the upcoming pain bullied me into flossing, buuuuuuut now its a habit so its a good thing. I prefer the process where a hygienist conducts the cleaning so the doctor can focus the checkup and consults on clean teeth. My 2 cents

Fantastic experience: This review is based on several visits to College Park Dental. They have many patients and handle them efficiently, but the main reason for the five stars is my dentist, Dr. Haghighiyan, who meets my expectations perfectly. He is experienced, knowledgeable, skillful, and personable. The office as a whole can still improve, as some staff members can enhance their communication skills.

Negative experience: I am writing to express a concern regarding a phone call I made to your office this morning. I waited on hold for approximately eight minutes, which I did not mind. However, once my call was answered, the female staff member who picked up the phone spoke with a very unpleasant and unprofessional attitude. I was calling with the intention of scheduling an appointment, but due to the tone and attitude displayed during the call, I decided not to move forward. I understand that mornings can be busy, but patients should not be treated poorly, especially when they have done nothing wrong. Customer service is extremely important, as it reflects the professionalism of the office as a whole. I hope this feedback is taken into consideration so future callers have a better experience

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Dr. Tiwary's for the past ten years and over that time my whole family has made Dr. Tiwary their dentist. Her manner is professional and also warm and sympathetic. I've had two dental emergencies (painful tooth infection and an accident to a front tooth) and both times Dr. Tiwary's office offered me an appointment within 24 hours. She is careful, for example, when it is not absolutely clear whether a root canal is warranted before installing a crown, Dr. Tiwary has quickly referred me to an endodontist for a specialist opinion. Necessary dental work on my front teeth actually improved the appearance of those teeth. I'm happy to recommend Dr. Tiwary as an excellent dentist.

Negative experience: I was a patient with College Park Dental for many years until I had a crown put on that fell out three times in two years. The crown work was done by Dr. Majid. This resulted in talking to the practice manager. I asked to be compensated for the $1200, I paid for this crown. I was told that the dentist were not employees but instead independent contractors. They would only compensate me for the commission paid to the dentist. They offered me $400 as opposed to the $1200. My contract was not with Dr. Majid but with College Park Dental. While my dental insurance originally paid, they declined to pay to recrown a tooth when the crown fell out three times in two years. I later found out, my insurance would have covered a $400 crown instead of the $1200 that I paid. Patient Beware. The higher the service the higher the commission.

Fantastic experience: I’m really happy with my dental care by Dr. Romila Tiwart at College Park Dental. The doctor has a gental hand. All procedures, treatments, instructions and what not are explained to me as a patient. I’m really happy with her work, specially the side tooth fillings. I highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: The dental team is courteous, responsive and respectful. My dentist Dr. Majid Haghighiyan is my longtime dentist; he is very thorough and caring, and very experienced as well. He has an excellent "bedside manner" as he explains all that needs to be done. My new hygienist Yan Wei, RDH did my deep cleaning for the very first time. She was very patient and explained all the processes. She also verified my insurance copay and worked with me to resolve rescheduling so insurance could cover the required treatment. I am grateful to have such caring medical professionals, as seeing a dentist for new procedures can be very daunting. Thanks to the front office team as well for all the coordination with my insurance.

Fantastic experience: Doctor Tiwary has been my dentist at College Park Dental for many years. She has a gentle touch. Take it from someone who used to avoid dentists because of the needles. I am 68 and have been less than perfect on maintenance. Doctor Tiwary and College Park Dental always find a reasonable solution to any issue, the people in the office are great and always explain all of the details to me and even give me a printout. They have always gotten me in fast whenever I had an urgent issue.

Fifteen year no more deteriation in fact improvement, great doctor manner and always the most economical solution. I believe his dental work will outlive both of us.

Fantastic experience: This was my third visit to This practice. It was for a cleaning, which was badly needed. My insurance company would not authorize all of the work that was required in one visit, so I had two cleaning visits. I was impressed with everyone, from the office staff to the professional staff. It was a very positive experience and for the first time in my life I am actually looking forward to another dental visit.

Negative experience: Quality of service is mixed and billing practices are error-prone and predatory. Service: I've had an evaluation, two cleanings, and exam, a tooth extraction and a crown. The extraction was quick and painless but they did not follow up as they said they would nor did they return my calls asking about next steps. The cleanings did not seem thorough, the exam was cursory, they did not do perio charting or say much about my x-rays. Billing: For the extraction, they charged me in full for a procedure that staff said insurance didn't cover. When I got my EOB and saw the procedure was covered, I emailed the office requesting a correction and refund, got not reply for weeks, called and sorted thing out, then waited for the refund. 2. For a cleaning, they charged my insurance for a service they did not perform, never replied to my email stating that I didn't get the service, redid the claim incorrectly again after I reported the error to insurance then billed me for that service. For the crown, they bill a $500 "lab fee" separate from the actual crown, and insurance covers only the crown. My EOB said I should have to pay the $500 fee because it is included with the crown, so I appealed to my insurer to get the $500 back that I paid to CPD. Insurance reported back that CPD says the $500 is a upgrade to the actual crown, which was never conveyed to me and is not what CPD told me (that it is an in-house lab fee). Now I have to appeal to the state. I should have walked away after the smaller billing errors. Stay away. On top of this, they levy a surcharge for credit/debit cards, which I've not seen at any other dental office and adds up for dental procedures. Their reply to my review is disingenuous given that they don't reply to emails and calling the office doesn't reliably get a response or a correction.

Fantastic experience: Going to the dentist is never fun but your staff makes it as smooth and painfree as possible. And quick! I love Dr. Majid. He is so careful and makes my checkup and cleaning very tolerable and gives you a chance for a break if you need it. He gives good advice, too, on how to take care of your teeth.

Negative experience: I’ve been going to this dental office for almost 20 years, and I’ve recently had a few bad experiences. Today, I came into my appointment and I was told that they called me several times to confirm my appointment, and since I didn’t confirm they cancelled my appointment. How can you just cancel if someone doesn’t call back to confirm? If I missed the appointment, I would have been charged. I made the original appointment - so I clearly know that my appointment is scheduled. In addition to that, I updated my paperwork through the link they sent - in which they persisted to say that I didn’t. I figured that this was also a confirmation of my appointment. They made me wait over an hour to be seen; and saw other patients that arrived after me. The dental assistant even expressed that she didn’t understand why they made me wait…and mentioned it to the doctor. I didn’t appreciate the customer service that I received. After 20 years of this being a great dental practice - it has gone downhill within the past 3+ years. I will be taking my business elsewhere - a place that has much better customer service, people skills and a claims department.

Fantastic experience: Once again, I felt welcoming by the relaxing music vs. some offices who lazily put insulting nonsense on their TV at maximum volume. And as always, Dr. Majid was exceptional in his demeanor and clear instructions about my dental choices.

Negative experience: Cancelled my appointment without notification or call prior and frontdesk person claimed she called me when she never did.. I recieved a text to the paperwork this morning which I was going to do but she never called me. I made the appointment through zocdoc so I was only recieving reminders from them. I called to see why my appointment was cancelled because I already had reserved space at work to come in but she was not accomadating and I asked to speak to her manager and her manager never called me. I will take my business else where.

Negative experience: do not recommend them, please read the comments and do not believe many of those who give them 4 or 5 stars. They do everything because the office itself recommends it to you in order to obtain a 15% discount or more on the next visits. I have been in this office for several years and the treatments they have completed for me have always left me with discomfort, but as a constant state with my routine visits, I have always had problems because it was always a problem even for my vocal cleansing. The last thing that got me outraged was a charge for a visit 9 months later that by mistake they did not confirm the numbers with the insurance. Well, my response was how is it possible that you mention this all this time when it has always been verified with the insurance before proceeding with a filling or a dental crown. They have always paid them what is owed to me. If they made this mistake, today that they come out negative, they are charging me. And I also told them if that error of that bill happened now, I wonder how many extra charges you have charged me all this time ago, isn't it that you Do they owe me money? Did you ask the receptionist and the manager? On my last visit, I told them I had a lingering pain from the crown replacement. I demanded an appointment soon, which they never gave me, and that they didn't have time, and they did have appointments for 5 months later, which caused me to leave this place. Curiously, since I'm no longer in their office, they came up with this bill and this problem of sending me to collections without sending the bill to my property. They are abusive because they didn't call me, much less comply with my requests to send me a copy to my property. The truth is, I don't recommend them, but is you own decisions. It's just that many of us, when we warn you and the reports that we summited are real, we don't get pay to warn you, etc.

Fantastic experience: Went in for a new paitient appointment for x-rays and a cleaning. Was in and out very fast with a great job being done by both the assistant and doctor. As former RDA (registered dental assistant) id recommended this place to my family and friends. No upsell on any treatment or service. Great job guys!!!

Negative experience: My first visit to this Dental was something else. First and foremost, I called them to schedule for wisdom teeth removal, I had insurance to make sure my bills will be covered, before the procedure, I was told to paid deducted of $190, which I did, after two days I received email stating I am owing $65, Then I went back after two months for regular checkup to make sure everything was ok with the removal of the wisdom teeth, on arrival I asked them if my insurance covers the cost, they said yes and gave me a paperwork that shows the bill was covered 100%. Then after the procedure I was told that I need deep cleaning and I have to pay $900 out of pocket, I said no am not coming for their deep cleaning, since then it has been one threatening calls or messages with debt collection, saying I owns $180 because I refuse to accept their deep cleaning. Be careful of this location, even with your insurance, all they want is to milk your money out of your pocket.

Negative experience: UPDATE August 2025: Patients should not be penalized for an office’s administrative errors! It took months of calling them and calling my insurance to first learn that they never submitted my claim to my insurance. Then they said they would fax it over. I called my insurance again, because they kept sending me a bill for $458 for the routine cleaning, My insurance said they received the fax but they spelled my name wrong! I call the dental office again to have them correct this issue AND on top of that I started receiving emails from collections. Why would anything go to collections when my claim isn't properly submitted by the fault of this office? I was told it was being handled—and that there was a note on my account that collections wouldn’t be an issue due to the claim never being sent properly in the first place. Now, months later, the claim has finally been processed in June (I've been calling since February) and paid in full by my insurance, my insurance even tells me that the patient has no responsibility. And yet I’m being billed $114 for a collections recovery fee—for their mistake. My bill jumped from $458 to $572 for no valid reason. This is completely unacceptable. The office mismanaged my info, delayed the claim, sent me to collections despite knowing it was unresolved on their end, and now expects me to cover the cost. Terrible experience. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Would not recommend. They're disorganized here. I call for an an appointment to put in beginning of January of 2025. They asked if my insurance info changed and I provided them with my new insurance info to confirm they take the insurance. Come in for my appointment in January, they didn't have my new information on file. Why ask for it when I called to put in the appointment and not make record of it is the first red flag. So instead of me getting in the chair on time for my appointment they had to get my insurance information again and call while I was waiting to confirm the insurance company can cover the cleaning. I had to work shortly after so I was getting anxious. After waiting with the manager being on the phone with my insurance company they said everything is ok and I proceeded to get my teeth cleaned. My insurance covers annual cleaning. Why am I getting bills in the mail for this? When I called in February the young lady stated the insurance company never received my claim and I confirmed with my insurance company and they stated they never received anything. They sent the bill again this month and I called my insurance again... they never recieved a claim. What is happening at this establishment? The cleanings are nice and I was going to recommend to my friends but causing unnecessary financial stress simply because they fail to submit claims I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Negative experience: EXTREMELY RUDE front desk. As a new patient, I didn't make it back to see a dentist, I just left after only a couple minutes dealing with the front desk. ZERO STARS. I will find a different practice.

Fantastic experience: My favorite dental clinic. Good customer service. Excellent dentists. My teeth look and feel wonderful after cleaning. Highly recommend College Park Dental.
