I especially love Miss Prophy - She does such a great job on my cleanings and makes sure I'm comfortable the whole time. There are no high pressure sales (I've actually been shocked by not getting "recommendations" for things that other local offices pushed over and over and over!), cleanings are comfortable and not rushed, visits with Dr. Bennett are quick and not scary. Highly recommend this office!!

The courteous atmosphere was through out the entire building, added bonus they understood my nervousness about the dentist even as an adult so took extra care explaining every step and relaxing my fears. Negative experience: I had a terrible experience with Janet, the hygienist. When I walked in, I told her I was nervous because my teeth are very sensitive; she didn’t respond. When I repeated it, she said, “I heard you the first time”. I almost walked out, but I gave her the grace of having a bad day. She was very rude and scolded me for not flossing after every meal. She said, “you eat every day, don’t you?” I finally asked her if she scolds her mother like this; she did say, no. It was an awful & uncomfortable experience. Furthermore, our dental coverage enables us three cleanings a year, but this practice doesn’t have enough openings to accommodate us for those three cleanings therefore, we can’t use all our insurance benefits. Needless to say, we’re finding a new dentist.

Fantastic experience: Both my husband and I are patients. Luckily I didn't need more than the usual x-rays and cleaning. My husband wasn't that lucky. He needed root canal, crown and filling. Dr. Bennett sent us next door, to Dr. Cheng. Bobby said it was the most painless procedures, he's ever had. Our thanks and recommendations.

Fantastic experience: My spouse and myself having going to Dr. Bennett for five years. He has done a lot of procedures from crowns, fillings, and implants. All is work has been exceptional. He is extremely fussy about his work and if crowns are not what he expects them to be he sends them back till he is satisfied with the workmanship. We have no complaints. All his staff have been respectful and very helpful. They are the best staff of any doctor we have been to. Elizabeth the hygienist is just fantastic.

Negative experience: NO STARS! If I could have given no stars I would have, but it wouldn’t let me post! THUMBS DOWN! Bad Bad Bad Choice Lost my entire top teeth because I wanted a nice smile and chose to get veneers. He put my veneers too close to the bone and I end up with 7 accessed teeth out of 8. Ended up going to a new dentist and had have all my top teeth pulled and now have removable dentures. Definitely do not recommend. Need a dentist? Find someone else!

Positive experience: I was in dire need of an extraction and they couldn't do it because I was told it had to be surgically removed! I was very disappointed that I left there the same way I came there but thats OK later on when I got home the tooth fell out on its own!!! Goes to show don't believe everything you hear...

Negative experience: I had a 15 minute cleaning after having not had a cleaning in 1.5 yr. The previous cleaning took about 20 min. Compared to other hygienist, this seems inadequate.

Fantastic experience: Unfortunately, I don’t remember the hygienist name, but she is the full-time. The other one is part-time. She was so gentle with the sensitive teeth that I had and explained the x-rays to me and switched her method of cleaning because I couldn’t stand the cold water on my right side. She really knows her stuff and adjust according to my needs along with being very gentle. I apologize for not identifying her by name.

Fantastic experience: Everyone in this dental practice is top notch! Makes going to the dentist far more pleasant, as they gently work with those of us ( especially baby boomers ) traumatized by dentistry in our youth. And you would be hard pressed to find a more honest dentist ( becoming a rarity, as most tend to push ‘deep cleanings’ & other expensive procedures ), plus also enjoy his sense of humor. I have gladly recommended him to many.

Fantastic experience: I have an appointment to become a new patient of Herb’s but before I could do that I lost part of a tooth. So I just went in the following morning and the very nice receptionist was able to find me a spot in the schedule. I was taken back by a very nice assistant, she took the x rays and got Herb to take a look. Well I needed a crown but I was very impressed with everyone I met and how they could take care of my issue for me. I’m looking forward to being a regular patient of Herb’s practice!!

Negative experience: Elizabeth dental hygienist was very gentle and thorough! Since I refused X-rays they told me they could no longer do my cleanings. Not happy with this and I feel that they should make exceptions. I prefer to take responsibility for my own health. X-rays are not always necessary.

Fantastic experience: I tried 2 dentists in Ocala who wanted the get the most money possible from me while providing subpar service. I drove 45 minutes to see Dr. Bennett and it was so worth it. Everyone was super nice. The doctor didn’t try and scam me and allowed me to get a cleaning covered by my insurance. The hygienist Elizabeth was gentle and communicative.
