Fantastic experience: The staff here are incredible! I recently moved back to Waco and had to do the dreaded thing of finding a new dentist after having the same one for over ten years. I have seen both dentists here and have nothing but great things to say about their demeanor and how they let you know what they’re doing before they do it! Dr. Lee recently did my first of four wisdom teeth and was incredibly patient as I am a baby with pain. Melody was also super helpful and patient and answered all of my questions I had about post op care. Both times I have gone so far I have been taken back immediately with no wait which is NEW to me with any health provider! They respect your appointment time and their estimates for how long procedures take are spot on! I was out of my wisdom tooth surgery in less than an hour, the office called to check on me a few days later, and my healing has gone so smoothly! Highly recommend! Also, they have super comfy couches

Negative experience: I had a appointment there today at 10 Let's just say I wasn't happy when I left ,I will never forget how I felt when I left there,I sat in my car and cried about 15to 20 mins , especially when he said they only deal with high in clientele

Fantastic experience: I just want to say I’m very Thankful to find Dr. Smilee’s office I was in so much pain and needing a root canal I called on a Friday and they were able to get me in Saturday morning. The office staff was very welcoming and I felt comfortable when I first stepped into the office. Im always scared going in to the dentist for a procedure but the comfort they gave me made me feel at ease. They were able to get my procedure done which was painless and they talked me through it the whole time which made it so much easier. I would definitely recommend this office and will be back to see them soon. Thank yall so much for getting me in the office!!!

Negative experience: Extremely rude and unprofessional. CALLED ME NAMES. I went to this office for an emergency appointment. I needed an extraction and they told me I had an infection and gave me antibiotics. After a week I came back but when Dr. Les went to do the extraction I couldn’t get numb. I could feel him messing with my tooth. I told him this to which he replied with “i’m not saying you’re being a SISSY but…” I rescheduled for an iv sedation. Mind you, i’m self pay. That’s another $900 on top of the $400 extraction. I took antibiotics for another week and called the office to see if he would try again with the normal anesthetic. He told me no either iv sedation or refund. I went to another office the next day and they pulled it out for less than what dr lee quoted me and without iv sedation. He’s after your money and he’s very rude.

Fantastic experience: I showed up and within 50 minutes i was checked in, pulled back, and had a tooth extracted with a bone graft- then was in the car on the way home!!! I really respect that this dentist does not waste patients time. My last dentist I called him out for overbooking his schedule and taking 6 hours for a root canal. Will return. Plus dudes hot. I could tell he has ADHD like me because of how fast paced he was. and took excellent care!!

Negative experience: I had a very poor experience at this dental office from start to finish. I scheduled my appointment online, completed the emailed forms, and even received multiple texts the day before asking me to confirm. I also received a call to verify everything, so I felt prepared for my visit. When I arrived a few minutes early, the first thing I noticed was a funky smell in the office. I could see past the front desk into what looked like the hallway for the treatment rooms, and staff were sweeping up what appeared to be a lot of dirt and debris. For a dental office—which is still a medical environment—this felt very concerning. The floors and walls also looked dirty and poorly maintained. The front desk staff member was on the phone when I walked in, and I waited 5–10 minutes before she acknowledged me. When she finally did, she told me they had been “trying to reach me all day” to reschedule my appointment. However, I never received a single phone call, text, or email about this. Overall, the office felt unprofessional, unclean, and unorganized. I left extremely disappointed and will not be returning. The 4.8-star review listed online is very misleading compared to the experience I had.

Fantastic experience: We're new patients. The process to switch was short and easy. The receptionist was extremely helpful and polite. I can hear the doctors displaying professionalism and actually enjoying their time at work. They have refreshments in the lobby to help beat the Texas heat as well as coffee to keep you up! My kids enjoyed arcade room. I am pleased we made this change and look forward to returning. Update: I just added myself as a patient. I'm extremely pleased with the services.

Negative experience: Dr Smilee refused to see my son with disabilities because he was crying too loudly. Do not see this dentist if you or your loved one have an intellectual disability that needs any accommodations. We even called ahead of time to make sure they could make the accommodations my son needed for his sensory and physical issues. They said it would be no problem. But when my son started crying loudly because he was scared when they asked him to do something that I clearly had said ahead of time he would be unable to do, they refused me service. The dentist did not even have the decency to tell me herself--I never met her. She told me through a hygienist that she would not see my son. My son has NEVER before been denied dental or medical care because he was crying. Shame on you, Smilee Dental.

Fantastic experience: I have an old root canal that was done over 15 years ago. I have an upcoming appointment with my dentist to do an implant. But as I was eating (peanuts) that I’m not supposed to eat … lol ♀️my crown popped off and of course it was the weekend so I called all around and found Dr. Smiley of Waco. Dr. Liam was wonderful and honest and patient and answered all my questions. Her staff also was very polite and understanding. Thank you so much to everyone that worked there for helping me with my emergency today. Recommend this place to anyone that lives in Waco or surrounding areas if I didn’t have a Relationship with my dentist office I would change again thank you for everyone’s help

Negative experience: My experience with this dental office was extremely disappointing. I called in advance to schedule an appointment for an extraction. However, the day before my visit, the office called to say they couldn't see me because I had recently had a cleaning—which was not the reason for my appointment. After I clarified this, they called back and gave a new excuse: they claimed my insurance wouldn't cover a new exam since I had one recently and tried to charge me an out-of-pocket fee. I called my dental insurance myself and confirmed I am 100% covered for both the exam and X-rays. When I called the office back to correct their misinformation, I was met with a complete lack of accountability. The receptionist offered no apology and simply said it was "up to me" if I still wanted to come in. The entire experience was unprofessional, filled with misinformation, and demonstrated a total lack of concern for the patient.

Negative experience: DO NOT GO HERE! The staff is rude, they do not help, they have no customer service skills and the last 2 times I went in they all had very unprofessional appearances. We have been patients here for a while and it’s upsetting that we will have to find a new dentist now. Dr Lee was always good as far as her dental work for my kids and husband but I cannot get past the off putting staff. I was refused service over a new policy that was just put into place this year that I had no knowledge of. I was also never made aware that I had missed appointments from years ago that would prevent me from being seen. All of that should have been explained to me today in a professional way with a warning that the new policies were now in place and if I missed the appointment I needed to schedule today they would be enforced. If you’re looking for a professional, friendly and caring dentist office this just isn’t the place!

Fantastic experience: I never write reviews but Dr. Smilee deserves it! Dr. Lim is incredible- so thorough, gentle, and kind. I came into the office because of excruciating pain on a tooth I recently had a filling done on by another dentist. After a thorough exam, she decided a root canal was needed. I have terrible dental anxiety, but I was willing to do anything to stop the pain. She is so easy going, gentle, and makes the process feel quick and painless. I feel completely back to normal now and I’m so thankful for her professional demeanor and guidance throughout the process. Amazing office!!

Fantastic experience: I just visited Dr. Lee for my first visit. I had broken a crown while traveling for business and they were able to fit me in the day I got back. Not only did they fix my crown, but they were able to also do a cleaning; which I had needed for quite a while due to my poor experience with other dentists in the area. I was visiting a dentist most recently near Central Texas marketplace and when I would call and leave a voicemail for scheduling, I would not receive a return call they would take Online appointments for brand new Customers, but not existing and this caused me to have several cleanings that went too long between them. I literally had to go into their office to schedule a follow up appointments. The straw that broke the camels back was when they lied and told me about a Texas law That requires x-rays even though I had them 13 months ago. When I first moved to Texas I had visited a few other dentists and it always seemed. They were trying to upsell cross cell push you into doing things. None of this occurred at Dr. Lee’s office. His staff was friendly. They were very accommodating, not only from my short notice appointment, but in order to make sure my forms and everything were done and get me in quickly. When I was at the appointment, I was greeted friendly and taking care of quickly. I told you I had broke my crown. They didn’t even try to tell me I needed it replaced, but were able to fix it in the same appointment and fit me in for that overdue cleaning. Negative experience: I will never go back to this place again. I went without any pain or discomfort in my teeth, they did x-rays and told me they had to do 12 crowns, as I am not a dentist I trusted what they told me. They did 5 crowns on one side and 4 on the other and I have never eaten in peace without pain. I asked the doctor when the sensitivity would go away and he told me it would take several weeks, I waited 3 months and the pain was still getting worse. I made an appointment and he told me that it was normal to use sensodine. I bought the sensodine and I have been using it for 3 months and the sensation in my teeth is horrible. Please do not go to that place.

Negative experience: I was able to get an appointment quickly, which I appreciated, and the staff was friendly. The appointment started off fine, but it took a turn after I mentioned that I grind my teeth at night. After my cleaning, Dr. Lee pointed out that I have large masseter muscles from grinding and suggested Botox to help. While I understand there are medical reasons for this, he went beyond that to comment that it would make my face look slimmer instead of masculine and that I’d be “pretty for a selfie.” I found these comments completely unnecessary and unprofessional. It felt like my appearance was being degraded to sell me a cosmetic procedure, which insurance doesn’t even cover. On top of that, the office itself was not very clean—there was mud on the floors, and it just felt dingy overall. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be returning, as this experience left me feeling uncomfortable and disappointed.

Negative experience: Dr Lee is not an skilled and experienced dentist in dental implant which began september 2023. During the process of my implant the following issues occurred: the stiches of my gum, after installing the titanium post, became loosened. New stiches done. The abutment came off while eating. No explanation given. Crown installed march 2024 loosened and twisted on june 2024. it was tighten. Crown loosened and fell off in October. Scheduled appointment october 12 to fix it. He cancelled the appointment. Then I just decided to switch dentist. Additional information about my experience: last payment went up 1200 to 1900 dollars. Blame insurance. Not valid point. Customer service is very low: for the above issues an appointment was required. I must say he performed well while pulling the tooth where he installed the implant.

Positive experience: Dr. Lim is a really good dentist. She is kind, friendly, and compassionate. I had cavities filled and she did a good job. My only problem was that one of their dental assistants (maybe new) just needed some more training on slowing down to let people spit when having teeth cleaned or cavities filled. The staff were all kind and professional. The office has a fun arcade. They do need to fix head rest of dental chairs or invest in a new bigger head rest, so it doesn’t fall down and hurt neck during dental work.

Fantastic experience: Super nice people! Very efficient and fast as well. The dental assistant was very nice, making sure I was okay all the way through, and Dr. Lim was super nice as well and would explain what she was doing. Front office lady was very kind too! I don't like doctor appointments in general but everyone here were so nice and kind! It eased my anxiety quite a bit. Also they have a small arcade in the waiting area, and that's just super cool! Everything about them is very welcoming and nice.

Negative experience: Staff was very rude on the phone tried to charge me a fee for cancelling my appointment from back in 2023 Do not go here . Just looking for extra money. I'm sorry because my husband really likes them.

Fantastic experience: New patient and the experience was great. The facility is very nice, the staff are friendly and the doctor very knowledgable and so patient with my dental anxiety. Had to have 2 teeth extracted and a bone graft and it went smoothly (besides my own dental anxiety ). Will definitely be an ongoing patient. Highly recommend!!
