Fantastic experience: Been goings to RiversDental and seeing Kami as my hygienist. She is the best. Not only professional and knows her job, but gentle and straight up about her advice about the care of your teeth and gums. Years ago, always dreaded to go to my cleaning appointments, but not since seeing Kami. She does a thorough job and consider her my friend as well.

Fantastic experience: Great chair side manner! Everyone in the office is extremely helpful, respectful, and accommodating! Best dental office in Murfreesboro.

Negative experience: Unorganized and new people all over. Policy's being charged with no prior notice to patients until you arrive. Avoid

Fantastic experience: Always a great experience here with the dentists and all of the staff. I had a filling come loose and they were able to work me into the schedule in a reasonable amount of time. It was a very busy day when I was there but everyone remained friendly and kind. It was probably the best experience I’ve had getting a filling because it was so gentle. Positive experience: Dr. Williams, very unprofessionally, refused to see me after i told him I would not allow him to pull 2 of my teeth/I was given a different Dentist. Dr. Steers took over and did a good job, but referred me to an endodontist to try and save at least one of the 2, instead of treating my teeth the way i wanted, because I am paying and have to live with it. Needless to say, I did not leave happy and my mouth is still infected/hurts. Rivers dental is the only Dentist in the area that accepts my insurance, otherwise I would have gone somewhere else. The front reception tried to overcharge me $1,000 more than i was required to pay and reluctantly changed it when my insurance company called them to correct it and Rivers had the NERVE to act offended like they were doing ME a favor by overcharging me, in case my bill was bigger down the road. If you have money to burn, prefer to be walked all over, do not require major dental work, or have insurance that others won't take, this is the place for you, if not, it'll be hit or miss on the Dentist you get. Some have outstanding reviews, so that's hopeful. As far as I know I am the first to review Dr. Williams so I hate to start him out, negatively, but pulling teeth should be a last resort, and your customer matters. I will be back to finish my care plan with Dr. Steer, so let's hope they don't retaliate. Also, during my intial xrays, another lady had to finish them because the first did not know what she was doing/was new and kept hurting my mouth trying to place the piece in my mouth for the pictures. Dr. Williams also had to walk her through how to use the computer during that first visit. I let all of that go and sat patiently and agreed to see Dr. Williams, again, only to have him switch. The facility is beautiful and easy to access.

Fantastic experience: Let me start out by stating that in the past the dentist was the last place I ever wanted to go. That being said I want to say that my teeth need some work for sure. The staff at Rivers dental are amazing, from being able to get me right in as I was in pain from years of not going to the dentist. The hygienist are all awesome as well, I was very nervous but their kindness and excellent patient care skills put me right at ease. I needed a complicated procedure and Dr. Williams stepped right up and was amazing. I never even felt the first shot to numb my gums. I could go on and on about the awesome care I received. Facts are this is the Best dental practice I’ve ever been too and I highly recommend them to anyone in this area that needs to have any work done. Thank you again Dr. Williams and all your incredibly excellent staff!!

The staff Is so kind and talk to me through everything they were going to do. They offered different options for the cleaning that would make me feel more comfortable. Hollie my hygienist was extremely kind and so welcoming and was very good at her job she made my visit very fun and explained everything she was doing in a way I would understand The dentist Dr Steer was amazing he was honest and not just trying to get me to get work done like some other dentist out there this is the best dentist I’ve been to and i will definitely be returning

Positive experience: Important information was not communicated to me leading up to my appointment. When I finally arrived, the story sounded different regarding the risks of complications after replacing my crown, versus what I'd been told at my hygienist appointment as well as when I asked for clarification before scheduling this appointment. Once I was there and ready to have my old crown taken off, they suddenly sounded unsure of whether or not the new crown would be fine without any complications. I was then referred to a specialist. I wish I had started at this specialist instead of wasting three weeks of waiting on the appointment before finding all of this out. I'm giving three stars instead of lower because they eventually did tell me, versus putting on a new crown that would have potentially lead to a later root canal.

Fantastic experience: I got two of my wisdom teeth extracted on Friday. It is now Monday I have had 0 pain irritation. During the extraction my doctor and assistant were very vocal about how I’m feeling during the whole process and I felt 0 pain during and after the procedure. I’ve been going here for a year now and I am overjoyed that I found a great spot first try!

Fantastic experience: Was able to obtain an appointment quuckly. Ither offices had a waiting period of over a month. Friendly staff. PersOffice staff were very caring and doctor explained everything in detail. Waiting time was very short. After paper work was finish in less than 5 minutes I was called in. Looking forward to my next visit.

Fantastic experience: This was my first time going to this office. My experience was excellent. Everyone was very friendly and detailed oriented. You can tell they are highly customer service oriented.

Fantastic experience: I had made an appointment with Rivers Dental a few months ago because after I had had my hip replacement I had had a filling fall out . Today of all days with it Snowing and wind blowing all over the road I managed to make it to the office . After entering the office I was greeted by one of the staff and ask to take a seat for a few minutes .. After several minutes had went by I was summoned by a woman to follow her to the working area . I sat down and was greeted by Dr. Harrelson and then he prepared me for my filling . He answered all my questions and concerns and was patient with me even though I was a little nervous and made me feel comfortable . After he had given me the numbing medication I was told to wait for about 15 minutes for it to take effect before he could start .. He came back in the room after time had passed wanted to know if the area was numb enough for him to work . It was tingling a little so he told me to wait a while long before he could start . After he started working it did not take long for him to find the problem area and prepare it for a filling .. He left for a few moments and then Cynthia had arrived to start the filling procedure . She was very good at making sure that the area which she had filled was done properly and I had no problems with my bite . She then had Dr. Harrelson come in and check her work .. He then ask me a few questions and finished the job at hand . This was my first experience with Rivers Dental ended up enjoyable for the most part and I will use them again in the future If I need to .. Thanks again to all the staff who assisted me while I was there ..

Negative experience: Do not recommend. I went in for an emergency visit. They said they would fit me in the next day for a sedated tooth extraction because I had a bad infection and my face and neck were swelling. Dr. Harris then said he didn’t have time to fit me in when I called to be scheduled. I ended up going to an oral surgeon and thank goodness I did because he said it would have been really bad if I had waited.

Fantastic experience: Overall I was satisfied with the care I received and will be going back for follow-up care. PROS: The dental staff were professional and got me taken care of as quickly as possible. The dentist was friendly and knowledgeable. I was not referred to additional dentists or Oral Surgeons for care. CONS: I was early to my appointment and had all my docs done before the appointment time. Still had to wait almost a half hour past my appointment time. Some of the equipment was old and/or in need of repair. - The leather on the arm of the chair was worn - The customer monitor to displays xrays and care plan details in the room I was in did not work... another patients seemed to work.

Positive experience: All staff were very nice & explained what was being done as they went along. Dr. Mark was very nice also.

Negative experience: I have been going to Rivers dental for years and loved the staff. They took excellent care of my teeth. But the last time I went in, I quickly realized the entire staff had changed. They sold to a new group. They immediately tried to force me into a deep cleaning And wouldn’t do the regular cleaning of my teeth. I got a second opinion and they said I absolutely did not need the deep cleaning and that many offices do this in order to make more money. I definitely won’t be going back.

The whole team is always very kind and my dental hygienist, Ryan, is always able to answer questions, provide great customer service, and does a great job of following up on any concerns or questions that came up in past appts. Very friendly and efficient! Happy to have found a good dentist in Murfreesboro.

Fantastic experience: This place is great. I’m a grown man but have a giant fear of the dentist. They knew this so put me with the sweetest person (I believe her name was Candy) and she was very kind, gentle, and through. They scheduled me in for a follow up cleaning and I insisted on seeing candy again. When I first inquired on seeing them, they got me in fast as they knew with my fear of the dentist I would change my mind and cancel so they saw me quickly and were great. Both my wife and I go here and they don’t try to overcharge and say you need additional dental work like other dentists do. I have always had bad experiences with dentists especially saying I needed work done which I didn’t need or over billing but this has not happened here for my wife or me. Cannot recommend them enough. They are honest people.

Fantastic experience: Unfortunately my dentist of 30+ years passed away and I needed a new dentist. Followed the recommendation of my mother-in-law and went to see Dr. Cho. Had a thorough examination and teeth cleaning. When a filling had come out, Dr. Cho worked me in (not a multi-week delay). I, like many, do not like visiting a dentist, but this office makes it a pleasant experience.

Fantastic experience: My daughters and I have received the best care at Rivers! Everyone in the office is so kind and caring. Dr Harrelson is gentle and kind and explains what he’s doing each step of the way.

Fantastic experience: My 1st visit with River’s Dental Care for a comprehensive exam. Everyone was friendly and thorough from check in to finish. Explained my treatment plan, giving me several options for treatment. I finally found a dentist’s office I feel comfortable with.

Negative experience: I went in to have a crown placed and the technician dropped it down my throat. This caused me a great deal of emotional distress. I feel like I should have been reimbursed for the full cost of the botched procedure.

The doctor (Mark) has a great bed side manner very patient and will go the extra mile to make sure you understand. His assistant ,I don’t remember her name, she was from Ukraine, was amazing and extremely polite. This was my initial visit. When I returned for my second appointment to have my cleaning the ladies at the front desk were still on point and truly seamed to like what they were doing and are the nicest people I have encountered in a long time!! The hygienist (sorry I didn’t get your name) was very professional, thorough,, caring and was exceptionally aware of her patients needs. Great job to everyone in the building!!!. I would say I highly recommend them but that would be an understatement. This is the only dentist to go to in Murfreesboro!! Thank you so much! You won’t be disappointed! Steven.

Negative experience: I have been going to Rivers Dental Murfreesboro for years. I have always paid my bill with my Flexible Spending Account. I have always been notified of my appointments by phone and email. I just received a text from a collection company stating I owe the dental office 37.00 plus a collection fee of 9.95. I did not receive any notifications. Since I had been a regular customer and always paid. I was told there was nothing they could do. I politely asked them to lose my number and my business.

Fantastic experience: Fast friendly service. Very short wait time in the waiting room, and friendly and personable hygienist staff. Very thorough as it comes to your dental care and plan. They treat you as individuals and not as objects.

Fantastic experience: I am new to the boro and I was looking for a good dental place for myself and my family when I came across Rivers Dental on Facebook so I looked up the reviews. They were wonderful. They didn’t lie when I went. The staff is amazing professional kind, sweet welcoming and the doctor was told that I was feeling very apprehensive and nervous he had a conversation with his dental hygienist the whole time while working on me and he says I’m normally not a talker and I looked at him and thought are you kidding me and we both laughed but he said I’m doing it for your sake because I know you’re nervous. Who does that?! Dr Mark is one of the best, the dental hygienist and the front desk administrator Susan was so helpful and kind and the sweetest ever. If you need dental work come here

Fantastic experience: This is our first visit at River dental due to my daughter’s dental emergency. The doctor is very well experienced and considerate. We are happy and plan to switch our whole family’s dental care to here.

Negative experience: They will not work with you if you have to change an appointment. I had a work issue come up and they told me that I could either make my appointment or I would have to wait a 3 weeks. The appointment was to check my invisalign so I would have had the same invisalign in for 5 weeks if I had missed. I am happy that they are successful but once my invisalign are done they will not get any more business from me. Update- even though they assured me that there would be a one time payment for the Invisalign, a year later called and said that I owed a $645 bill for the Invisalign. I would not trust this dentist office.

Fantastic experience: Ryan was fantastic!!! The entire staff , from the front desk , to the dentist was great. Will definitely return for my next cleaning.

Negative experience: The dentist did not discuss any of the major concerns with me as though I wasn’t sitting in the room and as if they weren’t talking about my teeth. He only addressed the hygienist who preformed the perio charting and exam. The dentist looked in my mouth with seemingly zero effort of a dentist’s perspective, only to okay hygenist’s treatment plan without one explanation to me. I’ve never been to a healthcare appointment where the provider did not discuss the concern or treatment with me. I brought up my concern & asked a question Dr. JH continued to address the hygenist continuing to completely disregarding me. Again, the hygenist had MAJOR concerns and Dr. JH DID NOT DICUSS ONE CONCERN WITH ME. I left that appointment incredibly unsettled, regarding the dentist’s treatment towards me, and zero answers from the provider. The unsettling presence from the dentist over rode the good service from the hygenist.

Fantastic experience: Very positive experience. Everyone at this office is super friendly and takes her time explaining what they are doing. The dentist the performed my procedure was super friendly, patient and made sure I was taken care of.

Fantastic experience: I have severe anxiety with going to the dentist, River's dental has been so amazing, and I now enjoy going into the dentist office. Dr. Brett Harrelson and his assistant Tonya have gone over and beyond to make me feel comfortable and less anxious. They make sure I have no questions before I leave and make sure I know everything they are doing before they do anything. I am so grateful for both of them!

Positive experience: New patient here. My temporary crown fell off the next day and they were not able to get me which was disappointing. I drive from nashville and my appointment was schedule for 4. Needless to say , I was running a little late. The staff was extremely kind to get me in when I arrived to get another temp on. Truly am appreciative

Positive experience: Every time I’m there I’ve got a different hygienist, each one tells me something differently each time, idk why I can’t have the same hygienist for each visit, 1 said buy a water pick, and don’t floss so i do, another says don’t use water-pick for a month,floss only so who am I supposed to listen to? Maybe if I can have the same hygienists I wouldn’t be having issues , I don’t need a phone call and text message within 10 minutes of each other telling me about my appointment

Fantastic experience: Been seeing Dr Choe for a least 6 or 7 years very knowledgeable doctor had a fair amount of work done never had any pain never needed anything for pain. They stay on top of things you need to have done.

Positive experience: #1 it takes almost a month to be seen. #2 After I was seen another appointment was set almost another month later. #3 Called to try and get in to be seen sooner or cancel the existing appointment. #4 One hour later I get a text message about the same existing appointment. #5 Can’t stand going to any professional facility and the employees are incompetent. #6 This dental office is a joke highly NOT recommended
