Negative experience: I’m updating my review because my recent visit was very different from my first experience last year, which had been positive and is why I previously rated this office 5 stars. During this visit, I raised questions about routine dental X-rays and was told they were required, that the dentist could lose her license, or that I could sue her if X-rays were not taken, and that this requirement came from the Wyoming Dental Board. After reviewing Wyoming Board rules and ADA guidelines, I could not find any requirement for routine or annual X-rays for asymptomatic adult patients. The standards emphasize individualized, risk-based clinical judgment and informed consent — not fixed schedules. When I asked for the specific rule, none could be cited. I was also given comparisons (stating sunlight radiation and cell phone radiation which both emit non-ionizing radiation are worse than x-rays that emit ionizing radiation that have potential to cause DNA damage) that did not address the actual issue, which was whether the imaging was legally required versus an office policy or clinical recommendation. My concern is not about the safety of dental X-rays themselves. It is about being pressured to consent using incorrect legal claims rather than clear disclosure and transparent reasoning. Because of this change in communication and approach compared to my prior visit, I felt it was appropriate to lower my rating.

Fantastic experience: All of the staff at Sunlight Dental are absolutely wonderful! As someone who was overdue for a dentist visit, I couldn’t have asked for a more positive experience. Vanessa made me feel so comfortable during my cleaning and took the time to thoroughly explain my X-rays, answering all of my questions with patience and care. She was also a joy to talk to! Dr. John addressed all of my concerns and was incredibly friendly and reassuring. I highly recommend Sunlight Dental!

Fantastic experience: The front desk was super welcoming the second I walked in. Vanessa did an awesome job with my cleaning — really easy to talk to and explained everything without any pressure. And Dr. Chad is great too — super friendly, easy to chat with, and makes the whole visit feel relaxed. An all-around awesome team and experience.

Fantastic experience: I have had great service from great professionals from sunlight. I recently had to go thru the process of full dentures and have had great service in a time that was tough. Felicia has worked me in the schedule every time that I have called even in what im sure is a busy time during the holidays. Jacky has been very knowledgeable and helpful in all aspects of this new denture journey. Dr.Chad has always been great and straight forward with me with everything regarding my family's dental health. Dani has worked so well with my small children and really has a gift for working with children. Overall, I would highly recommend this buisiness to anyone in need of dental care.

Fantastic experience: I grew up with Extreme dental phobia after a bad experience as a youngster. Seriously couldn’t even get my teeth cleaned without the ‘gas’. I am totally over that now. Sunlight Dental and everyone there are simply wonderful!!

Fantastic experience: I had tooth pain that was keeping me up at night. As a result, the following morning I made a appointment with Dr Chad, and he was able to get me the same day. We went over the issue in my tooth and he did a handful of tests in order to find the problem. He explained what he was doing so I knew he was diagnosing me correctly. It made me feel confident in his decision. He then did a same day root canal, and temporary crown. Im extremely thankful, and highly recommend him. Shout out to Kim also, great job and service. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Working in town on business and developed a toothache that needed to be looked at by a dentist. Called several and was referred by another clinic to try this one. They accepted me even though out of network, looked at my tooth and found the issue, set me up for bi-annual cleaning and also set me to repair the problem of a cracked tooth. Danie the hygienist was top notch!! Super kind, sweet, and compassionate. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Such a joyful person.

Dr. Chad and Dr. John are kind and genuinely strive to do what is in the best interest of their patients. Today was my first visit at the new office. Fantastic experience: Sunlight dental is great, they strive to get their patients the best most cost effective treatment. Went in for an exam on an infected tooth and they had it checked out, created a treatment plan and pulled the tooth in an hour. Great service and great customer care!

Fantastic experience: Dr. John and Dr .Chad are amazing. Dr. John helped me out after a 30 year trauma and removed my wisdom tooth that broke this morning. Dr.Chad helped my husband out so much with his oral issue. They really are amazing as for a dentists. The hygienist Vanessa is so wonderful too. She helped me get through it all. I very grateful for the service and understanding of our family. We will be coming back that is for sure

Fantastic experience: It was a day like any other day, another dentist appointment. How I dread the dentist, with their weapons of destruction poking and prodding and whirring tools. No, indeed it's never a good time to be had. I sit in the waiting room for my name to be called, nervously playing on my cell phone. I just want to get this over with. Then! Here comes Danni all bubbly and smiles, just talking like we have been life long friends. Ok seriously though Danni makes the appointment and time at the dentist not so unpleasant. YAY for Danni

Fantastic experience: I’m not crazy about going to the dentist (who is?) but the entire staff from first phone call to check out made me feel comfortable and at ease. I even received a follow up call after my visit to check that I was doing okay.

Negative experience: I wanted so badly to have Sunlight as my regular dentist - they do a great job, it's clean, and they're friendly. But they lied to me and told me my insurance would be accepted without a copay. Stupid me, I should have checked to make sure it actually was in network instead of taking their word for it. I went for a routine cleaning in June, and then just got a surprise bill in the mail for $217. My insurance only partially covered it, and they didn't cover any of the $184 x-rays. When I was at my appointment, they asked if I sent my x-rays from my previous dentist. I did not, so the dentist checked with the front desk to ask if it would be covered. She was told it would be, so she went ahead and did new x-rays. Don't make the same mistake I did - I was lied to and it cost me over $200 for a regular cleaning.

Fantastic experience: I had a broken tooth and called the emergency number on the weekend. They got me right in on Monday and got a temporary crown on that day. The staff was friendly and helpful and took great care of me. Dr. Chad was great and their music in the office is excellent! (very important when dentists make you anxious!)

Fantastic experience: I was really impressed with the folks at Sunlight Dental. While at Cheyenne Frontier Days, I broke a crown. Being from Coastal Georgia, it was going to be close to 2 weeks before I would be home to see my dentist. Fearing a cracked root, I went to Sunlight on the recommendation of the manager of our Airbnb. They worked me in quickly and after X-rays and an exam, we decided it would be fine until I could get home for a new crown. Thank You for calming my fears of having to have a tooth pulled while on vacation!!

Fantastic experience: I had to have one tooth pulled as an emergency situation. They then decided that I needed another pulled after I explained what was happening. They were very understanding and took care of me with care. Every staff member I met was very courteous and friendly. I will definitely be going back for any future dental needs. 6/26/25: Once again I needed to be seen for an emergency situation. They once again treated me with courtesy and respect. I was told what was going on with my tooth and what the best plan of action would be to treat it. I highly recommend Sunlight Dental for any of your dental needs.

I felt that Tayler did a good job cleaning and explaining the full mouth x-rays and what she was doing at every point.She was very friendly, has a good personality, and was very thorough and professional. Fantastic experience: I have been a frequent patient of Sunlight Dental. Im not one that enjoys going to the dentist at all. My last visit was an emergency dental visit. The staff got me in same day. I have much anxiety, they completed an emergency root canal and worked through thier lunch. I can't be more grateful for a team on Doctors and staff that constantly reassured me, made sure I was okay, and fixed my tooth.
