Fantastic experience: Despite my Dental Insurance not covering the full or half of the treatment plan, overall Apalachee Family Dental is phenomenal. The staff were all kind, friendly and welcoming. The Dental hygienist was gentle with my teeth and educated me in my concerns. In addition, the office was very inviting, warm and cozy.

Negative experience: I'm a cash patient here. They somehow booked 2 appointments in one day. Due to unfortunate circumstances I was not able to make the visit and called to inform them. Next thing I know I owe them $100 for not showing up, which is 25% of my next procedure with them. They have young people here who are not very experienced as well.. I experienced enough pain with one, I had to ask for someone more senior. Don't waste your time here, your just another patient and they will bill you with little regard.

Positive experience: Initially, have been coming here for 2 years and decided to give this place another chance since they are in network for me, but boy oh boy there has been some "weird" issues to say the least. First off, my last hygienist was pretty rude and so I was grateful that I politely asked to switch. The practice here tries to UPSELL you like I've seen no other. We "recommend" this antibiotic treatment that insurance doesn't cover for an extra $900 for a teeth cleaning. ANTIOBIOTICS!!! Wonder why insurance doesn't cover it if it's so important??? Should be a given to anyone something is funny. Thankfully, they didn't give me a lot of problems not doing it but they will sure try to make sure you feel stupid if you don't. Honestly, the sweet woman at the front desk checkin I think is really the MVP for the face of the practice for sure because the billing people behind her I can tell you aren't as warm and add them to the crew that will like to make sure you feel stupid if you don't do what they recommend. All in all, this place does good work but you have to be ready to stand your ground because it seems like at the end of the day they are really money driven but if you come in for a teeth cleaning or something else. I can say they will do a good job.

Fantastic experience: My experience yesterday was amazing! I had some inflammation around my crowns, they were throbbing and bled every time I brushed my teeth. Heather did my routing cleaning and I was told to use Peroxyl mouthwash by Colgate for two weeks but when I woke up this morning my gums were about 50% better already. Routine cleanings are a must have! Heather was kind and informative. Jade did my cleaning this time, she is very sweet, thorough and efficient. She cleaned my teeth like she really cared and was concerned about my inflamed gums as well.

Negative experience: Very disappointed. I asked before my appointment if I’d need to pay upfront and was told nothing. Once I was in the chair, they suddenly said I had to pay before a simple cleaning. I declined the service. Poor communication and business practice — this is why patients lose trust. Sadly when walking in, the front desk wasn’t very welcoming, they were too busy to say welcome to our practice….too deep into their conversation. The dental assistant wasn’t friendly, very straightforward, bam, bam thank you… next? Kinda person. Customer service is what keeps me going back & give business my money & share with others my great experiences. This definitely isn’t one of them. Bad practice, needless to say, chose to move on!

Negative experience: My first visit at Appalachee Dental and I’m not coming back. I came in for a deep cleaning because I’ve been dealing with gum bleeding and wanted to take care of my dental health. The front desk staff and hygienist were kind and welcoming. However, I was extremely disappointed with how the doctor handled my visit. Without my consent, they used a photo of me to create a “perfect smile” mockup and then tried to sell me on cosmetic work I NEVER ASKED FOR. When the doctor came in, instead of focusing on the reason for my appointment (gum health and possible cavities), she kept commenting on my smile and pushed for cosmetic braces. I had to interrupt her to ask about my actual dental health, and her tone completely changed after that. To make things worse, the quote for a simple deep cleaning was over $3,300, which is far higher than average. Then I was shown another quote for the cosmetic treatment I never requested ($8,800) I left feeling disrespected, uncomfortable, and honestly violated that they used my image without asking to sell me a procedure that I didn’t ask for. If you’re looking for a clinic that truly listens and prioritizes your health over sales, I’d recommend going elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Apalachee Family Dental is my favorite Dental practice! I love Dr. Uddin. They truly treat you like family! Jamie and her office staff are wonderful! All the hygienists are great, especially Heather! I can’t say enough great things about them!

Negative experience: My first visit at Appalachee Dental was good regarding the teeth cleaning service I had in June 2025. Jade was very nice, personable and thorough. But they have a problem with billing. I was a bit disturbed when an employee came to me while I was in the chair to tell me that my charge for the teeth cleeaning services (which were covered by my insurance) would cost me hundreds of dollars and would be due the day of service. I had to correct her and tell her my insurance covered the service. Jade even had to correct this young lady about it. Then a month later I received phone calls, emails and a bill for over $500 for the teeth cleaning service which was covered by my insurance. I received a phone call from Misty about this charge and she did not look into the matter any further, so I received no help from her. I called my insurance company who told me that the bill was not my responsibility because the service was covered. Appalachee Dental didn't complete the correct documents to bill the insurance company. I don't think they understand insurance billing. I've never had an experience like this. My insurance company contacted them with instructions for them to file for billing. They have since sent the correct paperwork to my insurance company which paid it. After this experience, sorry to say, but my first visit was my Last.

Negative experience: I should’ve known the moment that I was sitting in the office for the first time waiting for my name to be called that this place was gonna be a problem. They had the TV blaring, as well as, music playing at the same time just as loud. In reference to their incompetence of submitting a dental code on my initial estimation of benefits, they submitted the code three times instead of once. Glad I caught it, or I would’ve been charged three times for that particular code of service. Then they got me for Fluoride treatment, which of course wasn’t covered by my insurance. Lastly I was told by the hygienist that I needed an immediate extraction for a tooth and be prepped for an implant. YES, A HYGIENIST, NOT A DENTIST. When I went to see a periodontist for a second opinion, he said that isn’t the case AT ALL. This practice is all about making you feel that you should be in a rush to spend your money. You've been warned.

Fantastic experience: What a great first time new patient experience. The hygienist Jade, took her time to review my history with me, and made me feel like it really was important to her. She took the time to walk me through everything we were doing as we went along. She put together a comprehensive treatment going forward. The hygienist seemed to check on each other and work together very well. And Lauren took the time to explain the front office things I needed to know concerning my treatment plan. Dr Uddin was very pleasant and informative as well. I hope to have a long history with this team. Thank you for providing me with great treatment.

Doctor Matthew Do, is just awesome with his hands, I called him ‘gifted hands’ because he’s just that great. Negative experience: Extremely Frustrating Billing Experience – Beware My experience with the Apalachee office has been incredibly frustrating due to repeated billing errors and miscommunications. It took months just to get a major dental procedure approved and scheduled, even after my insurance confirmed the procedure was fully covered. Despite having prior authorization, the office tried to bill me over $1,000 not once, but twice—before the procedure and again on the day of the appointment. To make matters worse, when I was referred to a dental specialist, I was told that Apalachee had informed them I had an unpaid balance of $2,000 and that I had maxed out my annual benefit, requiring me to pay the specialist $1,000 out of pocket. After contacting my insurance company directly, I learned this information was completely inaccurate—my benefits were not maxed out, and there was no such outstanding balance. This office’s constant errors, lack of proper communication, and inability to accurately handle insurance benefits caused unnecessary stress, delays, and confusion. I would caution anyone considering this practice to double-check all billing and insurance information before proceeding with treatment.

Fantastic experience: The most recent appointment I went to was my first one and I can already tell that this will be the best dentist I’ll ever be able to go to. All of the staff were amazing, very caring, and very patient.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Apalachee Family Dental for about 9 years now. I am very pleased with their service. I have seen different Dentists throughout the years, and they have all been wonderful. I am not sure how the Dentist rotation works, but I really appreciate that I get to see the same hygienist each time. Everyone is very friendly. The facility is very clean and modern. They give us a toothbrush, floss, and toothpaste each visit which is always a nice touch. Additionally, they gave me a referral to get my wisdom teeth removed and it turned out to be perfect place to have my wisdom teeth removed along with 4 premolars for pre-braces work. Thank you, Apalachee Family Dental!

Positive experience: Love the office and the staff however, after stating I needed a deep cleaning, to which I refused and only asked to do a normal regular cleaning, they refused to do anything further unless I scheduled a deep cleaning. I’m already apprehensive of dentists in general but, to be offered something I was refusing and not accepting that I would do just a regular cleaning, I felt like I was being forced to do something I didn’t want to do. No follow up appointment was made.

Negative experience: Made appointment to have teeth cleaned. Spent 1 hour at office for initial exam. Cost over $300.00 and did not get my teeth cleaned. Left with an estimate for just under $6k worth of work needed. Not happy!

Fantastic experience: They treat you like family! This place is the cleanest, nicest facility I have ever been to! I am a travel PT and so I’ve been all over and they went out of their way to work me in and help me with an issue with my retainers. Super grateful and good group of people! 11/10 recommend! Negative experience: Avoid this dentist if at all possible. I’ve already got anxiety when it comes to dentists and they didn’t waste an opportunity to make that worse. The moment I got local anesthetic she said “I’m just going to check this out” grabbed pliers and snatched my tooth out before the medicine even had 10 seconds to start working, which it didn’t and I felt everything even tho I was screaming and saying no I can feel everything she proceeded to dig into my gums. I will never go here again, my experience was nothing short of torture. The dentist didn’t seem bothered at all, I’ve had nightmares about this experience a few times and it was less than a month ago. Will not ever allow them to touch my mouth again.

Negative experience: We have used this dental office for many years and were extremely satisfied with their service and cost. Unfortunately, there have been several changes - including the cost of their services which have become over the top. To have to come out of pocket $1.3K after insurance for one root canal is unbelievable. In addition, they provided a detailed report when first diagnosed that indicate the cost would be $1k (which is still way to high after insurance), but when my son went in for the service they brought out another form that showed the cost would increase an additional $300. They actually only complete the crown part. We had to go to another dr for them to do the actual root canal because they couldn’t provide the service and then had us come back for the crown. This is clearly a way for them to cover all of their cost that they lost because they could complete the full service. Very disappointed and will be looking for a new provider immediately

Positive experience: I gave them a 4 stars because I didn't rcvd the paper work before my appointment. I arrived 15min early just to find the door locked. Needless to say I spent 30 minutes filling out paperwork. So I was there 30min longer than planned. Otherwise, very clean office, very detailed hygiene and very friendly staff. I recommend Apalachicola family dental.

Fantastic experience: My experience with Danielle - the nice lady taking my radiographs, and Heather - my hygienist, were great! Danielle made what could be an uncomfortable experience very quick and as tolerable as possible. Heather was extremely thorough in cleaning my teeth and I could feel how clean they are days after - obsessed. She had a lot of good pointers and tips for me as far as home care and I'm extremely grateful. Thank you to these two amazing staff members! I'll definitely be back to see them again for routine cleanings.

Negative experience: I was unhappy with the front desk persons attitude when I was surprised with a $2000+ bill to be paid immediately. I should have been contacted before arrival and was not. Then she showed an attitude about getting my additional insurance information which I know could be done on line since my daughter works with medical billing. She had the nerve to say you know insurance companies are not open at this time. The other person was nice, but the front desk person was not. I was not happy at all.

Negative experience: Paid them 4600 for some dental work. Had a bridge in the top front of my mouth after they cut my open my gum to remove old crown work. When it was said and done I have a hole in my gum that I can blow air thru out the front of my mouth. Now I have to make sure the opening is clean all the time with a water pic. And after all that money she says I owe more. And she’ll send me to a gum specialist later! They told me if I wasn’t completely satisfied I should say something. Well I did and all they want is more money! These people are crazy her 20 yrs experience left a hole in the front of my mouth!

Negative experience: I broke my tooth during my pregnancy and had a temporary crown done here. My temp crown broke while my delivery/hospital stay so I called to make an appointment to have my official crown put on as soon as possible. Unfortunately I was back in the hospital the day of my appointment so I called and rescheduled. When I finally went in for my crown, the assistant and dentist were annoyed with me because the crown didn’t fit since I had gone a week and a half without the temp crown. They told me next time this happens I need to call and come in as soon as possible. As a previous dental assistant I know this but I had no control of being in the hospital. I wish they would of asked what happened then to assume that I didn’t do my part on trying to come in sooner.

Fantastic experience: I HATE going to see the dentist, but I love this dentist office. The staff is wonderful, professional, and courteous. I love to see smiling faces and a pleasant attitude. Thanks Aliyah, Heather, Melissa and Dr. Uddin. Melissa checked me in promptly and got everything she needed for billing purposes. Aliyah and Heather did a great job with getting my x-rays. Dr. Uddin didn’t waste any time. She examined my teeth and looked at my x-rays and suggested a plan of treatment. The visit was pleasant from the beginning until the end. I’m bringing my family to Apalachee Family Dental and recommend you do the same if you want a staff that’s patient, caring, and knowledgeable.

Negative experience: Terrible! The dental assistants are good, but the doctor needs to take some courses to learn how to be more human when she talks to her patients. Last September, the doctor put a new crown and left an opening, causing a cavity under the crown. Thank goodness, I found a better dentist and now everything is fixed.

Fantastic experience: Upon entering the office the front staff was professional, engaging and friendly. They answered any question I had and explained what needed to be filled out as well. When I was taken back for x-rays and exam the assistants were courteous and took the time to answer ALL of my questions. Dr Uddin took time with me to explain possible options of treatment I may have. She did not rush through my appointment and made sure I understood my dental treatment plan. Negative experience: They sent us a $25 coupon for teeth cleaning. I have gone to a few times since moving to dacula the wife mentioned. The wife mentioned the $25 coupon setting appointment for simple teeth cleaning. She said the appointment for the following day they never mentioned to bring the coupon in you think they would have a record of it. They sent the coupon to current clients.. when they were telling me my out-of-pocket with insurance is $160 seemed a bit high for teeth cleaning. I mentioned the coupon they said I had to bring it in. I had to have a hard copy of it. I told her this was not mention when the appointment was set and they were told about the coupon. I said then I'll have to come another time or find another Dentist she said OK fine bye so as I left I said I've decided that I will find another dentist as I exited. They do not seem to value their clients. very poor customer service at the front desk unable to make common sense decisions for the business and their clients. My experience in the back of the house has been good. I'll give the back to the house at three or four front of the house 0-1 It's hard to find a good dentist anymore. It seems to just come and respect in general courtesy, and customer service has been forgotten about. As a note Without insurance, the cost of a routine dental cleaning could range from $75 to $200, with an average cost of around $125. And they were trying to charge me $160 with insurance kind of insane pricing

Negative experience: Horrible customer service! When having an appointment made 6 months in advance they cancel the appointment due to staffing or staff meeting. They have done this three times now to myself and my husband. On top of THEM canceling the appointment they also send a $25 missed appointment fee to be paid that they caused!! They said it’s still considered a missed appointment even though THEY cancelled it. When calling to speak to someone it’s always the same lady on the phone and when put on hold she will hang up on you and then send an email instead about “trying to reach you”. I do NOT recommend them due to their front desk clerks. Maybe find some personable people to be the face of the company that your clients are to deal with prior to seeing the dentist.

Negative experience: This place has really bad service! I was there for a molar to take it out. Off course they want to get all my teeth fixed .. so the Doctor start digging in my teeth with the scoop and she broke one of my tooth resins.. this tooth was fine until she broke the resin and then she said that I need a root canal in that tooth.. when my tooth was fine! I refused to do it because my tooth doesn’t hurts son I went to another Doctor because she doesn’t wants to put my resin back .. and the other Doctor put me the resin and said that I don’t need a root canal! It was very dishonest for this Doctor name Monira Uddin in this place! This was really unethical. My insurance has to paid for this appointment also RX and more.. and nobody help me with this problem. They just want to money for the insurance and mine íbice my dental Health!

Fantastic experience: Came to Apalachee family dental after a bad experience with a subpar dentist office. Jade was my hygienist and was absolutely phenomenal! After having over 30 years of dental work and issues, it’s extremely important to me to be able to trust who will be doing the work on my smile!

I appreciated the fact that she took the time to explain everything and was careful not to cause me any discomfort. The dentist was fast in completing the examination, but thorough. I felt well taken care of throughout my visit.

All of the staff was very welcoming, courteous and efficient.They greeted me with smiles. Shanice took care of my x-rays and my pictures She seem to be very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions and continued to ask me if there was anything else that I needed. Negative experience: Where do I start, well I scheduled a deep cleaning with Heather, got to my appointment which was last week Thursday and Heather had to evaluate my gum lines before she could start the deep cleaning since it was almost 3 years since I've last seen her and to get a new treatment plan pricing. I noticed that most of her measurement were 4,5, & 6 but I was wondering how did she get 6 if she wasn't poking hard at my gums like the other dentist's do to get their measurements. Then the dentist came in to "look around in my mouth" she's new, she rough and has no patience or people skills, she was poking at fillings that I've had for a few years now saying I have cavities, THEY WERE FILLED ALREADY, then she says I have a tooth that needs to come out and I ask her which tooth and why, she said I wasn't talking to you I was talking to Heather, let me finish what I'm doing, "****, it's my mouth I can ask questions, the nerve of her, that alone left a bad taste in my mouth, not to mention the treatment plan pricing they came to show me, they wanted to put antibiotics on 22 of my teeth on the treatment plan bring the price up to $630.00 per quad. I told Heather I don't need all those antibiotics, she said the dentist says I need them all, NO I don't. they are overcharging patients for what they don't need. That's why I don't like going to strip mall dentist's they are a rip-off. I wont be going back ever again. I had went to another dentist 2 months ago and they only listed 3 antibiotics per quad and they offer better options and pricing.

Fantastic experience: A bit bumpy in the beginning due to an online glitch and some confusion over insurance on my part. The exam and evaluation is high tech Star Wars style gadgetry. Loved it. I'm all prevention and this place has it all. The 3D scanner is awesome and ny hygienist evaluated each tooth and gum. We moved here from PA and the difference of examination went from a 3 to a 10! Friendly staff and in depth dental care. Fabulous.
