Fantastic experience: The dentist Dr. Shah, as well as the hygienists are all willing to take time to answer my many questions, explain with visuals, etc --never seemed like they were in a rush. They also are very understanding with some difficulties I've had with my insurance company, but they are willing to work with them and me and are very patient about it! All in all, a professional and friendly office environment.

Positive experience: When I called to make an appointment I specifically explained what insurance I had and they said yes they except it. When I arrived after trying to fine a oral surgeon that would for several months, and this was an emergency, they apologized and told me cash or I could take a loan through them. Rock and a hard place. This was an emergency. All said and done the dentist did a great job.

This has been such an exemplary experience. I called yesterday afternoon for a shocking pain that radiated to my cheek bone and eye socket. They got me an appointment for the very next day, which was today. The front desk staff was very welcoming and explained each step of my intake. I walked in thinking I was going to get a temporary fix for the pain, but the team got me treated same day(: They even treated my other tooth that wasn’t hurting (yet), but it was already bad. The care I received here today was top tier- from the moment I stepped into the facility til the moment I stepped out. Everyone was so friendly, patient, and informative. Fantastic experience: Dr. Shah and Theresa were amazing. They made me feel comfortable and talked me through every step of the procedure. They got me in within 24 hours and Dr. Shah showed me my xrays and came up with a treatment plan. He even performed my procedure the same day instead of making me come back. Dr. Shah also made sure I was numb enough so that I didnt feel a thing. Theresa made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. I will 100% recommend alliance dental to all my friends.

Fantastic experience: I'm from out of town visiting family in Oglesby. I had an emergency (a temporary crown came off). I called the Alliance Dental Group and they accommodated me that afternoon. Everyone was friendly, courteous, and professional. They treated me like I had been a patient for years. My temporary crown feels better than when it was first applied. Thanks to all the staff.

Negative experience: I came here to have a tooth removed. I was in a lot of pain afterwards. The stitches came out early, my cheek was also stitched to my gums, I had something sticking up which they assured me was a bones spur and grinded it down. It’s been about two weeks of my cheek being numb and that “bone spur” came out. I suspect that it was indeed a piece of tooth that got grinded into a nerve. I now am having to see my actual doctor for the numbness. Kind staff truly, however not impressed what so ever.

Fantastic experience: I always have a WONDERFUL experience whenever I go to get my cleanings from Ellie....She is an absolute DELIGHT!!! I am so glad that she is my hygienist!!! She us always so happy, polite, jokes around and laughs with me...so nice to have that at the dentists office!!

Negative experience: I have to start by saying that the office team and hygienists at Alliance Dental Group were fantastic. My hygienist was great, and I even mentioned to her that I switched practices because I didn’t agree with the push for unnecessary treatments at my previous dentist. Unfortunately, my experience took a turn when the dentist included Invisalign in my care plan, citing it as a way to treat my teeth grinding. This felt completely unnecessary, especially given that it wasn’t a concern raised by me and certainly wasn’t something I had discussed as a priority. It was frustrating to feel like I was being upsold on treatments that I don’t need. I attempted to address these concerns privately through Facebook Messenger, hoping for a conversation about the matter. However, instead of engaging with my feedback, I was blocked. When I called the office to inquire, the manager explained that marketing—including the Invisalign offer calls and texts—was handled by a third party. I was also told that the inclusion of Invisalign as part of a dental care plan is standard, when in reality, it should be presented as an optional treatment and not part of a mandatory care plan. While the staff was friendly and professional, I am ultimately considering leaving because I wasn’t comfortable with how my care plan was handled and the lack of transparency regarding these optional treatments. I hope the main corporate office takes note of these kinds of practices, as they’re not always in the best interest of patients.

Fantastic experience: I have gone here since they opened. Everyone is super friendly and they always make sure I’m comfortable before continuing work. I used to hate going to dentists. I don’t mind going here. Hannah is very knowledgeable and patient with me. I can’t say enough.

Fantastic experience: So far so good ! I had a tooth removed a bridge put in & a crown on my back lower molar ! Dr. Shaw & his staff are great ! They have all the latest technology to use. Gia, Yaz & McCaela did a great job with me as well. They took my Humana insurance as well which not all dentists do. So rest assured they will take good care of you & make your experience as pleasant & as painful as possible !

Fantastic experience: Margarita is a wonderful Dental Hygienist. You can see her compassion, and kindness when she takes care of you. She truly cares about her patients. I have been getting cleanings for awhile now, and no one has really taken the time to provide education like she has. She gave me pointers that I will be paying more attention to. She was wonderful and a good addition to Alliance Dental.

Positive experience: Hygienist was great. Dr tried to get a night guard they made for me to fit. So tight on a protruding tooth that it gave me a terrible headache. Decided finally it wouldn't work. Offered me a cheezy bendble plastic one and said first one free second cost, every 6 months. I would like a refund on my very expensive night guard that didn't work otherwise it feels like I got ripped off. I will be changing dentist unless rectified

Fantastic experience: I am new to the area and needed dental services. I have a lot of anxiety and fear of dentist from past experiences. When I called Martha was my first contact. She was professional and very kind. She listened to my story and my fears and found a way to fit me in on the same day. When I arrived, 10 minute wait then off to the back with Yasmine, my Dental assistant. She was the kindest person, genuinely concerned and very personable. She did a thorough examination along with exrays. Lots of exrays. I was then shown all of the x-rays and explained about the procedures that needed to be done on every single problem that I had. I was explained financial responsibility in detail between my insurance and myself. During this visit, it was determined by Dr. Shah that I should have a tooth extracted today. I have to tell you I was terrified and was not happy, but I was treated so wonderfully. They were truly caring and very supportive of me as I , a 66 year old woman cried like a baby when the Dr was trying to numb me. (Yes, totally embarrassed) The reason for such a long post is because I have found my new dentist. From the time I walked into the office until my appointment was over, I was treated like I was the only person there. Every person I had contact with went above and beyond to help me and keep me calm. I am so grateful for the staff here and encourage anyone who is terrified about going to the dentist to call Alliance. Thank you Martha, Yaz, Kelly and Dr Shah for taking care of me.

Something I have put off for many years is coming to an end with just a couple more appointments. I Couldn't have made this goal if not for the Care and Compassion of the entire Staff. Negative experience: Very disappointed. Due to various reasons we had to cancel some appointments. We asked if there was a cancellation fee and was told no. Two days ago (8/5/24) my husband called with a question and confirmed today’s appointment. He arrived ten minutes early today (8/7/24) and was told that Dr Shah would not be seeing him due to missed appointments. No mention of this two days ago. Sounds like retaliation. Because of this Alliance Dental has lost both my husband and I as patients. We are not at all happy. Apparently they do not realize that going to a dentist can be very stressful.

Fantastic experience: McKenzie was amazing!! I cannot say enough good things about her. She saw my 5 year old the other day for a cleaning/exam for kindergarten. My daughter had an awful experience at a local children’s dentist last year and was terrified to ever go back. As soon as McKenzie got us from the waiting room, she put my daughter at ease. She explained what she was doing in a way my daughter could understand. She involved her by showing her the pano of her teeth and tell her how cool it was. She engaged in conversation with my daughter the whole time, keeping my daughter from even having time to think about being scared. She’s friendly, bubbly, easy to talk to, and really treated my daughter with such care. My daughter said she’s no longer afraid as long as she can see McKenzie every time. The doctor she saw was awesome too. He immediately gave her a high five. He was making jokes with her and I could tell she was calm in their presence. A++ job to both of them!! That visit went how you would expect a pediatric dental office to behave, however McKenzie and the doctor far exceeded what we experienced with the children’s dentist we previously saw. Thank you for the stellar care!

Fantastic experience: I feel like the staff actually enjoys the work they do. I've been to several dentists that just seemed to hate their jobs and it make for a bad experience, but the people here are personable and happy to educate you on dental health. Negative experience: Dentist is wonderful! Billing is awful!! They told me I had an over charge of $100, sold me a toothbrush then turned around and said they I owed $100 months later! I will not be returning.

Fantastic experience: Having not been to the dentist office in many, many years I had a dental emergency with a major tooth ache, I called and was told there was an opening that day. Office personal were very friendly and understanding. I went not knowing what to expect and had a great dental assistant Chantel that explained everything very well. After my exam and x rays it was determined to wait a week with medication since there was infection. A week later I had my extractions by Dr. Joseph and finally had relief. Everything went very well. Thank you!

Negative experience: They xrayed my sons mouth 18 times and when the price for a dental cleaning was thousands of dollars more than other places i asked for them to forward the xrays to my new dentist...they kept saying they were sent but werent when finally on the 3rd try after i went in person what they sent over to my new dentist was "smudged" so badly i had to get the entire xrays over again :( i want a refund and this is such a shady thing for you guys to do...it speaks volumes...

Fantastic experience: Great experience getting my dentures with Dr. Joseph. They look like the teeth they pulled out. Don't know how he did it but I love my dentures. He did a wonderful job and I'm extremely grateful.
