Positive experience: The staff was so patient with my anxious one (screaming as she was) bc she wanted to pet the pup so bad however it wasn’t yet her turn. They are usually so fast to call your name not sure why it took 35 mins this time but I know things happen with appts unpredictable. However mine went into full hulk mode prior to appt & I was unable to do any snacks prior to dentist…. Lulu dog it always fun to visit & they helped my daughter so much too.

Fantastic experience: I took my almost 4 year old here and this was the best experience we’ve ever had in healthcare in general! From the moment we walked in the staff was so welcoming and friendly! The assistant and doctor were so patient, kind and caring toward my daughter. They took time to explain every detail to my daughter ensuring she was comfortable and she even left saying how fun it was! They went above and beyond by privately discussing a procedure with me to ensure I was well informed, without my daughter hearing the details. I was so so so impressed by their care and kindness, 10000% recommend!!

Fantastic experience: Love the therapy dogs, the great staff and service provided.

Negative experience: Dr. Stated that I would not need to check out. Two receptionist let me know I had a balance. Asked if I could call in later and pay since I didn't have my wallet. They side eyed each other and smirked and told me Thursday the office closes early. They made me feel stupid. Doctors are great. Receptionist not at all professional.

Fantastic experience: The front desk girls are great. The whole office is so nice!! One of my boys had Shirley as his hygenist and she was absolutely wonderful.. we'll be requesting her for all of his future visits.

Fantastic experience: We came to this office due to a recommendation from a friend and we weren’t disappointed! Dr Mike was great and my 3 year old wasn’t upset or afraid. He went back to the exam room by himself and was able to complete the exam on his own.

Fantastic experience: We have been going to GPD for 4 years now since our first kiddo started seeing a dentist. We have been working with Dr. Sally and have literally never had a bad experience. The staff at the front desk, hygienists, along with Dr. Sally are all welcoming, so friendly and wonderful to talk to. My daughters are always SO excited to go to their dentist appointments to visit LuLu and get a prize out of the 'treasure chest' once they're done with their checkup! We love our visits at GPD!

Fantastic experience: We love Grandville Pediatric Dentistry. Our girls feel relaxed at each appointment and talk positively about each experience. Our younger daughter has special needs. She is not fond of having her teeth checked (or even brushed) and Dr. Sally is amazing with her. Never pushing her, but always encouraging, with a calm, gentle approach. She has successfully compelted xrays, cleanings, and exams because my daughter calms down in reaction to her gentle demeanor. We are so thankful to have such an amazing pediatric dental practice in our area.

Fantastic experience: We absolutely love Grandville Pediatric Dentistry. My kids have been going there for check ups since they were toddlers. The staff is wonderful, and great at making my daughters feel comfortable. My oldest needed a tooth extraction last year. She was very anxious, and Dr Mike was so kind and patient. The waiting room is decorated very cute as well. We moved out of state several years ago, but continue to go back for check ups when we're back in town visiting family, because my kids are so comfortable here.

Negative experience: Avoid This Place — Deeply Unprofessional and Concerning Experience I called Grandville Pediatric Dentistry to schedule an appointment for my 3-year-old to check on an impacted tooth he had previously been seen for. Instead of addressing that concern, the office insisted he needed eight fillings under general anesthesia, totaling nearly $1,500 out-of-pocket because they refused to bill insurance. After consulting my son’s pediatrician—who advised that anesthesia for a child this age should only be used if absolutely necessary—I relayed that to Kelly at the front desk. Her response was shockingly unprofessional. She made hurtful and inappropriate comments about my child’s special needs, saying things like, “Well, my child is also special needs, but I get them the treatments they need unlike you.” Shortly after I declined the treatment plan, I received an email from Kelly and Dr. Sally Kotani stating that my son had been removed from the practice. This felt like retaliation for questioning their recommendations. I got a second opinion from another pediatric dentist, without sharing our prior experience. He did not find eight cavities and said that general anesthesia was absolutely not appropriate for my son’s care. He received a gentle cleaning and a positive experience—something this practice failed to provide. I will be reporting this to the Michigan Board of Dentistry. This office lacks professionalism, empathy, and sound clinical judgment. Keep your children away from this place.

She hasn't had the best experience before and after switching to them she felt very comfortable and is even looking forward to the next visit! Fantastic experience: The entire staff is helpful, kind and caring! They are great about communicating concerns, solutions and finances prior to treatment. Dr. Sally goes above and beyond with my daughter, and makes it an anxiety free experience! Their therapy dog is also a bonus! Even though they are out of network for us, we choose to go back because of their attention to detail and genuine passion for what they do. I would highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Grandville Pediatric Dentistry enough. My daughter unfortunately had to have a tooth pulled today. Upon arriving, they had Evelyn pick out her favorite show “Moana” and they did a great job making her feel comfortable. After her procedure, She STILL came out saying she loved the dentist and “couldn’t even feel it”. She even told my mom how cool the dental office was and then continued to tell us all about their dog . As a parent, I’m so thankful for how thorough they are in explaining the details of what they are looking at and I was so relieved to see my 5 year old running around and asking to go shopping with me (in all smiles) within 3 hours of her appointment . Very thankful we found this dental office!!

The staff makes him feel welcome from the second he walks in which is a big deal when you’re three and a half. I appreciate how calm Dr. Demeter is with him and how well he explains everything to us! Fantastic experience: We had our first appointment today. It’s was quick and informative. It didn’t feel like they were trying to sell me anything and they weren’t being fake friendly. When they talked with my kid, it wasn’t patronizing. After reading the negative reviews, it’s apparent people don’t actually read the policies and paperwork they sign.

Fantastic experience: Brought two little boys to a new office for a first visit- which I pictured being chaotic and tearful. It couldn’t have gone smoother! Not only the office itself but the staff were so kid friendly and welcoming. My kids actually had fun at the dentist. Recommend!!!!

Fantastic experience: My son started having tooth pain on Fri night so we called that next Mon am. Not only were they able to get us in same day, they were also able to fix the tooth. This was amazing so we didn't have to pull him out of school and me leave work again. The staff and dentists are very friendly and the office always clean.

We will definitely be back! The office is clean and the staff is so friendly. They even have therapy dogs which was the best part for me and my kids! Positive experience: My kids love going to the dentist, thanks to Grandville Pediatric Dentistry! Update: Be aware that it is their policy that parents don't go back with their kids; even if it is a procedure and the child is nervous. We just changed dentists because of this policy.

Fantastic experience: Very nice staff, clean, kid friendly environment. My struggling son was not able to get an X-ray at his regular dentist, so we were looking for a pediatric dentist. First appointment in, they got the X-rays, they also made him feel comfortable enough to fill a cavity. I’m really happy that we chose Grandville Pediatrics Dentistry!

Fantastic experience: I have been taking my daughters to Grandville Pediatrics for 3 years now and everytime we go my daughters get excited! This says so much about the staff usually the dentist isn’t something a child gets excited for from the decor to the way the staff handles the children you can tell they love their jobs and do it right always nice and friendly. I always recommend Grandville Pediatrics dentist to anyone I know with kids it really is the best place to go.

Fantastic experience: It was our little one’s very first visit and between the staff, dentist, and general welcoming and fun environment, it was an absolute pleasure and overall great experience for our family. Our little one, since this was her first visit was a bit scared and did get upset, but everyone there made it go as smoothly as could be. We didn’t get all the way through her exam, but we are definitely going to keep trying until she’s comfortable and willing to come back because it was such a positive and friendly environment. No one there made her feel bad for being upset and they made us feel great throughout the whole process. I really recommend Grandville Pediatric Dentistry because they know what they’re doing and how to interact with children whether they do well or maybe could do better next time. We left on a positive note and feeling good with all smiles.

Fantastic experience: We have had an amazing experience at this office! We originally met them because we wanted a second opinion on my son's teeth. They worked so well with my son that we switched his care to their office. My son was almost 3 when they first met him, and he is very fearful of dentists and doctors offices. They were all very patient and kind to him. He responded well to them and did not put as much of a fuss as he usually does. Dr. Sally was amazing and thorough. She was able to get a good exam of his teeth, and was able to show and explain everything to me. They really help put my mind at ease. I recommend their office to everyone I know with a toddler.

Fantastic experience: My 4 year old had his 1st dentist visit today and the staff was absolutely amazing. They were very patient when he didn't want to sit and he was nervous. The therapy dog Lulu helped calm him while waiting for his turn and the dentist explained everything she was doing which helped him a lot. Ever since the first couple of appointments they feel comfortable in the office and with staff who are friendly and always willing to help! Fantastic experience: We love Grandville Pediatric Dentistry! After being patients here since about 2007, we recently tried switching to a new dentist that is much closer to home (Grandville is about 40 minutes away). We gave the new one a fair shot...and it wasn't a terrible experience, but it also wasn't the same. We just got back from GPD, and we all remembered why we loved to go there in the first place! An extra half hour drive is well worth the warm atmosphere and friendly faces at Grandville Pediatric Dentistry!

Fantastic experience: My youngest daughter just had her final visit here as she has now aged out of the pediatrics. She was so sad that it was her last time. The staff has always been so kind and made her feel right at home. We truly wish she could just keep going here and never age out!

She was, also, very thorough in explaining her evaluation and recommendations to me at the end of her appointment. The hygienist working with Dr. Sally was so sweet and bubbly and helped my daughter feel comfortable and safe since she was pretty scared. Very thankful for this team! Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Best pediatric dentist! All three dentists take the time to personally come and talk with me after my sons appointment. The support staff is great, identifying costs ahead of time, verifying what is and isnt covered by our insurance plan. All five of my kids love going to the dentist because of their kind compassionate care.

Fantastic experience: My children have gone to Grandville Pediatric Dentistry for over 10 years. They are efficient in scheduling; we rarely have to wait before our appointment and the whole staff is very friendly. Their communication is also excellent both in-person and through text. They text and email about upcoming appointments, contests, and even birthday wishes! My kids never have qualms about going to the dentist!

Fantastic experience: We absolutely LOVE Grandville Pediatric Dentistry! My daughter always feels so comfortable with the warm and welcoming staff that treat her so well when she’s having her cleaning done. They are always right on time, we’ve never had to wait long, and my daughter is disappointed because she always wants to play in the jungle themed waiting area! So fun if you have to bring other littles with you. The care they provide and the expertise in their field are both outstanding. Fantastic experience: Taking an autistic & sensory child is worry free and an incredible experience with Dr Agata LeFere. She is so gentle, kind and calming for my daughter. She has done cavity fills and even a ‘princess crown’ on my daughters teeth and both experiences have been smooth during and after the appointment. I genuinely appreciate the extra time she takes to calm my daughter and also involve her, to calm her fears. I truly appreciate you Dr Agata, your talent and demeanor are EXCEPTIONAL!

Fantastic experience: Our child had the most wonderful 1st dentist appointment here. We were greeted by wonderful front office staff and were promptly checked in. During our brief time in the waiting room, there were lots of things to play with. The dentist, Dr. Agata, and the hygienist were excellent with our child and provided great information about keeping healthy teeth. We will come here for as long as we can.

Fantastic experience: This was my 2 year olds first experience with the dentist. It was very welcoming with toys and fun decorations in the lobby and the rooms. Everyone was so kind and welcoming. Dr. Agata was the best at calming me(the mom) in a not so great situation. She was also stellar with my toddler- no tears! Highly recommend!

Positive experience: This was our first dentist visit ever for my daughter and it was good. The dental hygienist was fantastic at explaining everything to her and the stress ball helped. I wish the staff could wait to put in a mask, so she could see a smiling face. I do know if we will come back because I do not like the policy that child will go back for their cleaning without the parent.

They do a wonderful job in making sure he is doing okay but still getting the job done! Fantastic experience: Kathy that cleaned my daughters teeth was excellent. Lori at the front who chastised me for being 1 minute late in an unexpected April snow storm at 8:45 in the morning, not such a great way to start our visit. She needs to work on that.

Fantastic experience: We love Grandville Pediatric Dentistry. They are AMAZING with both our girls (6 and 3). We love Dr. Agata and the girls are so excited for their visits! Who knew going to the dentist could be exciting?!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Mike took care of our son with the gentlest of hands, but the most ease and expertise in the field. Our sweet, yet terrified, boy needed a molar removed, and after three attempts with our wonderful general dentist we simply could not put him through the experience again and needed to seek a pediatric specialist. Within days of our consultation, our special needs seven year old was giving a fist bump to Dr. Mike after he had extracted an infected molar while he calmly watched the Lion King. Miracle? Sorcery? Planets aligned? Whatever you want to believe in, go ahead. I will call it as I see it: extreme patient care and rapport building from the start - trust, exceptional skill and wonderful patient-parent-office interactions. Grandville Pediatric Dentistry gained three new patients (our son + his two sisters); my husband and I could not be happier or more relieved. Some people truly have a gift for what they do in life and Dr. Mike is one of those people; we are fortunate to have chosen his office.

Fantastic experience: They were able to get us in within the month and we didn't have to wait months to get our kids seen! They've been wonderful with our boys and they feel so at ease going there. We have to travel a ways to get there and it's well worth the drive for us.

Fantastic experience: We love this place!!! I wanted a dentist that could change the common conception of "not liking going to the dentist" for my kiddo. The jungle theme, the treehouse office and a corner of toys and coloring pages, the ladies behind the desk are so patient and kind and the Dentist is very thorough in procedure and explanation. Fantastic experience: It is a little hard not going back into the room with your child during the cleaning even though I do understand their reasonings. With Dr. Ataga, she takes a conservative approach with treatment plans, is super gentle with the kids, and I trust her opinion and the treatment. My kiddo loves going to the dentist. :)

Fantastic experience: Dr. Agatha was so patience and kind with my sensory processing disorder son. She was slow and fully explained everything she was doing to him and also allowed me to take his own blanket to calm him during the cleaning and X-rays. He walked away loving the dentist even more! Positive experience: My daughter recently had an appointment and stated the doctor was rough with her and brushed her lip with the polishing tool. She stated overall, the visit was not enjoyable and would prefer to no return unless she sees Dr. Sally. Additionally, she stated it took a while for the hygienist to start her appointment after taking her back due to talking with a coworker. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a great experience in the clinic but a good one with the admin office. As they don’t allow parents back with with children, I can only go based on what my child has shared. She’s 10 years old.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely incredible from start to finish! The compassion and empathy the staff showed to myself and my son was overwhelming. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and very informative. I left feeling relieved to finally be in good hands! My 6 year old son said it was a great experience as well! ( He is 6 and developed a strong fear of the dentist due to bad experiences)I highly recommend Grandville Pediatric Dentistry! Thank you for all you do!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Agata is amazing! She puts my kids at ease! She’s great at explaining things and making them feel comfortable. Very happy with our experiences with her. Very friendly office.

Fantastic experience: We had the most amazing experience today. My son was absolutely terrified for his first dental appt. The dr was so patient with him and brought out a lap buddy so the exam could be done on my lap. She constantly reassured me his teeth were okay and I was doing a great job with him despite our constant battles with sensory issues. Every staff member we encountered had a smile on their face and was so nice to us. I never leave reviews but this place far exceeded my expectations.

Fantastic experience: The staff is always very patient and friendly. They provide great details when discussing treatment for my children and Best of all when we visit my kids are not scared to head right back. They enjoy the atmosphere and of course picking a prize! I would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: A warm and kid friendly environment. The staff and doctors are very professional. They took time to answer questions and concerns. The office was in communication with phone calls and texts leading up to our appointment. One of my kiddos that has always been anxious about the dentist. They are no longer afraid and doesn't have the anxiety that they had before at a family dentist.
