Fantastic experience: Our experience here today was absolutely wonderful. It’s a very classy, professional, and friendly place. Our dental hygienist Buffy and dentist Dr. Stringham were positively first rate - the very best. The receptionists and dental assistant were all great, also. This was our first visit, and we’re so pleased to have found such an outstanding dental practice. I can’t say enough good about everyone ❤️!

Negative experience: Been going to Thanksgiving point 10-15 years. I'm definitely finding a new office to start going to. Over the last 2 years I had been explaining how much pain I was in. I was able to get an appointment for a root canal and the dentist prepped the wrong tooth. After correcting the dentist, he told me nothing was wrong with the tooth I originally complained about and sent me on my way, saying it wasn't possible to do anything to help that tooth. I continued to complain about the pain increasing, and was mostly ignored. Two weeks ago the pain was unbearable, I was in the worst pain of my life. I went in, and was told my file said I flat out refused any root canal. The dentist who was prepping the wrong tooth completely lied on the file. But this time, I would need a root canal but my roots were too long and they couldn't do anything, but I just had necrotic nerves and I would be okay to wait for a specialist To their credit, they found me a specialist the next daay. However, the specialist took one look and told me my tooth was severely cracked, I had a major abscess and infection, and a great deal of bone loss in my tooth. He sent me away, saying the tooth could not be saved and I needed to find someone to pull it ASAP. We contacted thanksgiving point, and they wouldn't see me for nearly a week to pull the tooth. I found a dental surgeon that night who would pull the tooth, but at that point the infection had gone down my throat and was going to be closing my airways and risk of entering my bloodstream, and I would've needed to be hospitalized that night without getting the tooth pulled. Keep in mind, that was only the next day. I had told the thanksgiving point dentist all of my concerns with my throat swelling and throat pain, as well. The root canal specialist kept contacting to make sure I was recovering, as did the dental surgeon. Thanksgiving Point never reached out to check up.

Jackie did my cleaning and it was maybe the most painless cleaning I've ever had. The whole team was patient with me and encouraging. Fantastic experience: I recently retired and when I received the mailer from Thanksgiving Dental offering a special first visit price I jumped on it. Jackie, my hygienist, was the best and most capable that I have had in years (decades?). The dentist was cordial and didn’t seem to be in a rush at all. I had a concern about one of my molars and he spend plenty of time discussing it and offering potential courses of action. I will definitely be coming back.

Positive experience: The service was excellent, and everyone was friendly and nice. The only reason why it’s not five stars is I had originally requested that I be scheduled for a cleaning and a cavity fill so I could accomplish everything in one visit This is eliminate unnecessary time from work and unfortunately, that did not happen. I understand this may not have been doable, but I did request this And it was not communicated to me that that could not be done. However, you were able to fit me in an extremely Quickly and still got me taken care of and it’s appreciated

Negative experience: When I last came in for my 6 month check up I went through all the usual procedures and told them where I was having sensitivity (the same area for the past couple of years) and they said it looked fine. I then moved for a seasonal job in a new state and a couple weeks after my 6 month visit, my tooth broke in half while I was flossing due to decay. I had to scramble to find a place to get it fixed and they were blown away that my dentist hasn’t seen this decaying tooth and cavity just a couple weeks prior. I ended up having to get a root canal my second week of my new job which was quite stressful. The dentists I went to for the root canal said this could have been avoided if the dentists at my primary dental office would have looked more closely at the x-rays. I don’t like writing a negative review but this was a very frustrating, expensive, and likely avoidable circumstance. Everyone at Thanksgiving point is very kind, but due to this experience I will no longer be going to this office.

Fantastic experience: I love Thanksgiving point dental. The hygiene assistant Kate was great when cleaning my teeth, Dr Armstrong was kind, and Kari the hygienist was the sweetest and so gentle. Highly recommended going to thanksgiving point dental for any dental needs.

Fantastic experience: Dr Armstrong has impeccable bedside manner (if that is a term to apply to dentists) and clearly is very experienced across a range of needs. His staff is so pleasant and welcoming. Dr Armstrong explains things clearly and ensures you are comfortable but also in the know about what he has done and any options, when decisions are needed. I can’t recommend him and the office any more than 5 stars on Google, but they are a 6-star experience! Very, very pleased!

Negative experience: I’ve been a regular patient at this dental office for over 15 years, coming in like clockwork for my routine six-month cleanings. At my most recent visit, I was blindsided when they told me I suddenly had severe periodontal disease. What’s even more upsetting is that I was never warned about this progressing condition during any previous visits. The dental hygienist which was very concerned about it gave me this diagnosis with the dentist (Dr Stringham) barely giving any effort or thought about it and literally said “Well, at least you don’t have cancer.” Completely inappropriate and dismissive. After requesting my records, I discovered that six months prior they had already documented 5mm pockets, which is mild periodontal disease. No one said a word to me at that time other than you should floss better, no further recommendations, no treatment options, nothing. I now have to go to a periodontist and spent lots of time and money to fix a problem I feel like they should have prevented or at least told me about sooner so it didn’t get so bad. I feel totally failed by a place I trusted for over a decade. If you care about your long-term oral health and want a provider who will actually communicate with you, I’d look elsewhere. I’m deeply disappointed and honestly feel betrayed.

I had to get fillings done a little while ago, which is not fun in general, but they did great with the procedure and helped me feel as comfortable as possible. Fantastic experience: I’ve been a customer for years, they have the best end to end patient care you could ask for...from registration to post procedure direct follow up by the Dentist they are top notch. Procedures done are solid, I’ve never had a “fixit” to repair anything done. Also, they are constantly improving and using the newest technology and procedures to make the experience “low pain” and comfortable. I met with Dr Losee today and he is just amazing, remembers and cares for me and all my family, does a great job of explaining exactly what he is seeing on X-rays and evaluations and doesn’t miss anything with my teeth. Still miss Dr V, but he and Dr Losee are an 11 out of 10 in both capability as well as bedside manner. If you are lucky enough to get an appointment and be part of the “family”, you will not regret it. Only downside is they are very very full because of their great work, but they are constantly adjusting to the growth.

Fantastic experience: I have been a dentist for 44 years and loved being in the Doctor's chair. Well, it is very different being a patient in the hot seat. I recently had my teeth crowned to repair the wear, chipping, and discoloration. Dr Valgardson did the work and was so patient and gentle. He would always stop to see how I was doing and his work is near perfection. Pat was so helpful getting me in the right spot to work around my mission. Brielle assisted and kept me comfortable with a warm blanket, pillow, and great suction techniques. I have had my teeth cleaned by the gentle team of Kari, Jackie, Bailey, and Natalie. Keep up the great work and experience. You are the best!

A dental assistant made sure they got clear x-rays did a great job of cleaning her teeth and then working with the dentist was a very good experience. Billing staff helped us understand our insurance and set our future appointments efficiently.

Positive experience: We had a issue with the amount we were quoted over the phone and the amount we were charged for a basic cleaning afterwards. However, after our review they did go beyond to fix the issue and make it right. However after so doing, they said at the end of their text “We wish the best for you and your family at the new dental office. Thank you.” Made it seem like they didn’t want us returning, even though we had two more appointments scheduled with other kids. Seemed very unprofessional, given that they also admitted that it was their error because they are training a new person. You can read it how you may.

Negative experience: They coded and charged my wife's insurance incorrectly for an x ray and charged for two different exams in one visit. The dentist didn't even look inside her mouth when she clearly had an infection. Didn't even offer her an antibiotic. Just told her to see an oral surgeon. Now we have to wait until next year or pay out of pocket because they billed us more than they should of. Shady billing and lazy dentist. Wouldn't recommend.

Fantastic experience: So far so good! I have been going to Thanksgiving Point Dental for a while now, and I've had quite a bit of dental work done by Dr. Losee (retired now), Armstrong, and Stringham. I have had several crowns, fillings, cleaning, etc. here. I am happy with the work that has been done and I feel comfortable in their office. They have all the high tech stuff (the x-ray machine that goes around your head is impressive!). They make the dental visit as easy as possible with video screens on the ceilings (your choice of a movie or photography slide show), and even a warmed blanket to put on you if you'd like (oh so nice!!). I purposely left my review of their office for after I had had a lot of work done there, so that I can give a very accurate review (a duty I take very seriously as a business owner myself, and as a level 6 Google Local Guide). I recommend their office and Dr. Armstrong and Stringham highly!! I have seen both of them. Dr. Stringham does Invisalign too, btw.

Negative experience: Since Dr Valgardson retired this place has really changed. Dr V always remembered who I was and remembered what was going on in my life. He was always conservative and offered options. The other dentists in the office that I’ve had to see since Dr V left haven’t really cared to know me. I was told I needed a crown for a chipped tooth and wasn’t given any other options. I was quoted $600+ with insurance. Luckily, I went to another office a family member recommended. She started going to this new office after having bad experiences with Thanksgiving Point Dental and they were able to give me a few options and fix my tooth for a tenth of the original price I was quoted. My husband has been having bad experiences the last few times he has had appointments too. He had a filling fixed and later was in so much pain that it was waking him up at night. He went back into the office and the dentist didn’t do anything. Just told him to take Ibuprofen. It continued to bother him and wake him up for a few more days.

Fantastic experience: All the dentists at Thanksgiving Point Dental are stellar. We’ve been going there for a number of years and have had excellent attention and superior dental work. Many thanks to the men and women who work there. Couldn’t ask for a better team of people.

Fantastic experience: I would recommend Thanksgiving Point Dental. My experience was very pleasant ( if one can say that about dental work :) Resent procedures : Replaced broken crown Removed old bridge and replaced it with 2 crowns and implant .

Fantastic experience: I have serious trauma from dentists but felt totally comfortable with them. I just moved to the area and after skipping cleanings for about 3 years I was so afraid for my visit. My worst fear is having dentists overprescribe and interpret X-rays as showing cavities when fillings aren’t actually needed. The staff was very understanding of my traumas, they explained anything they saw clearly, and I felt no pressure to get unnecessary work done. They commented that my silver fillings might become loose in the future but said, “If it aight broke, don’t fix it.” I’ve had dentists in the past pressure me into preventative work that only caused more issues and I felt none of that pressure today. I think they’ve earned a new repeat customer. Also the tv on the ceiling was a fun surprise.

Fantastic experience: Thanksgiving Point Dental in Lehi, Utah, is seriously top-tier. My first visit was because of a sudden tooth issue, and from the get-go, they were incredible. The front desk staff, especially Pat (if I remember her name right), was super compassionate and efficient in getting me an appointment. Her warm demeanor made a stressful situation much easier. When I arrived, the welcoming vibe was immediate. Every staff member was genuinely kind and attentive, creating a comforting environment that you don’t often find in healthcare settings. The real star of my visits, though, has been Dr. Sorensen. Not only is he skilled and professional, but he’s also incredibly gentle. Every treatment I’ve had from him has been pain-free post-procedure, which speaks volumes about his expertise and gentle touch. Thanksgiving Point Dental doesn’t just offer dental services; they provide a reassuring, patient-centered experience. I would totally recommend them to anyone looking for top-notch dental care in a friendly and professional setting.

Positive experience: Got a cavity filled 3 weeks ago, my tooth is still achey and hurts. Also I wanted to get a consultation on Invisalign and had no idea I’d have to pay $200 for the consultation, was never told that once, both things are really frustrating. My cleaning was also only 15 minutes long, don’t think you can get a thorough cleaning in that timeframe.

Fantastic experience: Was looking for a new dentist I could trust when I moved to Lehi and my brother in law recommended them. Have always felt very welcome and the ladies at the front desk have always been kind. Dr. Stringham has been very helpful and thorough in his explanations. Fantastic experience: Everyone is SO good and caring! I love coming here, it's easy to set up appointments, and they give you drinks if you want or need. One time I got sick from the anesthesia and the doctor texted and called me the next day to see if I was okay. I've been coming here for a few years now and I love all the doctors and all the hygienists. The reception is great too! My crown fell out once and they got me in so quick and fixed it. These people really are the best, but I don't want to tell you that, and take all the appts, .

Fantastic experience: Full disclosure, I have not had services at this practice. But when we called, looking for a same day emergency appointment, they helped even though they didn’t have space for us. The front desk woman gave me the names and numbers for a bunch of other places to try, and we found someone! I really appreciate somebody who cares enough to make that happen. If they take care of somebody who they can’t even help in that way, I’m certain they take care of all of their patients very well. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff (particularly the dentist and hygienist — whose name escape me now ); a fun, antique design that matches the Thanksgiving style; just as high quality service as I've found anywhere (which is to say that I've always been plenty satisfied with my care); and this is the first dentist office I've ever known to offer TV to its patients while they have their dental work done (they have it up in place of one of the ceiling tiles for you to see while you're laud back — though I much prefer having personal interactions with the staff, so the display simply went through a slideshow of scenic, northern country landscapes). Overall, it was great place to be !

Fantastic experience: I was traveling in Utah from the East coast when a crown broke off late one evening. I called the office first thing the next morning; they saw me that same day and repaired my crown. From Rochelle at the front desk to Dr. Valgardson, everyone was friendly and helpful and smoothed the way for the successful resolution of a stressful situation. Living out-of-state they knew I would not be a long-term patient, but they treated me as if I would be!

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to Dr. Valgardson at Thanksgiving Point Dental for many years. I have always received excellent care. Dr. Valgardson is one of the most knowledgeable, meticulous and fastidious dentists practicing today. Because of his extensive examinations he has identified issues and taken steps to help resolve problems with my teeth well in advance of pain or discomfort set in or extensive procedures are needed. Whenever I have questions or concerns he thoroughly explains and goes over my examinations in order to provide answers and possible next steps. I fully trust I am in good hands and I am so grateful to have found Thanksgiving Point Dental. The other dentists and the wonderful staff are always so friendly and professional. Thank you!!

Fantastic experience: This office is amazing! I woke up with the left side of my face swollen from a bad tooth, called them and they asked me to come in right away. I spoke with 5 other offices before this one and none of them could get me in the same day! They were all so welcoming and friendly. I truly appreciated how comfortable they made me feel. I’m from Phoenix, just here for a few months working. This office made me not dread going to the dentist. I will be going back while I’m in town. I recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I hate going to the dentist, but this place is nice. I never feel too anxious. The ladies at the desk are very nice and friendly and have been flexible with payments when times have been tough. Dr. Armstrong is very nice and explains everything well.

Positive experience: Usually this is a very good dental experience. Today I wasn't treated very well. I told the dentist that saw me, that I wanted implants (instead of replacing a crown) and he agreed that would be the best situation for me. When I checked out and tried to set up an appointment I was rudely told that I would have to find someone else to do an implant because they don't do implants. I have had 2 implants from this office and it clearly states implants on the business card that they gave me. I don't know why the office person was so curt with me. Left me wondering if I need to find a new dentist.

Fantastic experience: I love thanksgiving point dental. I’ve always had a great experience, all of the staff is so friendly and kind. The office is clean and well maintained. I highly recommend!

Negative experience: I want to start with, the staff is all so friendly and kind. I am pretty disappointed in my experience though. I went in July of 2022 and was told I had 5 cavities that needed to be filled. That seemed super strange considering my good dental history. I was pregnant at the time so I scheduled my appointment for 6 months later to get a cleaning/the fillings done. The day of my appointment I decided to get the cleaning but no filling cause I didn’t feel good about it. This last week I decided to get a second opinion. I have zero cavities and perfect teeth. I can’t believe that Thanksgiving Point Dental would have put me through unnecessary dental work. I’m super disappointed. Im glad I trusted my gut and found a new dentist. Get your teeth cleaned here sure, but definitely get a second opinion if they say you need dental work. I will never come back.

Fantastic experience: WOW! Felt like family received me and took care of me in every way. Communication was so considerate and the sincerity in every single person was felt. I live in Colorado and am seriously considering flying into Utah just to have them be my dentist. This is your dentist, stop looking!

Fantastic experience: Such a great place! I’ve had bad experiences with the dentist in the past but, they’re amazing! From the receptionist and assistants to the actual dentists, everyone is happy to help and amazing at their jobs! I had to get shots and barely felt them!

Positive experience: We've been going here for years and while the care has been mostly good, I was disappointed at the lack of communication with patients that the entire office would be changing with the leaving and hiring of a new team of dentists. I've seen about 5 different dentists in a relatively short time frame. My visits are mostly pleasant with a few long waits here and there.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Thanksgiving Point Dental for five years now. It's always been a good experience. I've had to do nine crowns with them and multiple feelings. They are dental kind and respectful of my time. I never have to wait in the waiting room for very long. I love how after I have major dental work done, the dentist calls me that night personally to check and see how I am doing. The quality of their work is exceptional! I will never go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: Love this Dentist office. I have been coming for about 10 years now. They are always very professional and have extra kindnesses like warm blankets and tvs in the ceiling for comfort while you’re in the chair. I have always felt comfortable with my hygienists and dentists. In fact after certain procedures the Dr.s themselves will give me a call to check on me which felt very personalized.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going here for 6-7 years. One of the best dental practices I’ve been to. They do great work. Very friendly, great staff, awesome dentists (Dr Valgardsen has done almost all of my checkups, fillings and a crown for me). Dr V has from time to time after bigger procedures even called personally to ask how things are feeling - not sure if they still do that, but it was something that I recall thinking, “Wow, that’s not your typical care. That must take a ton of extra time to go to that level.” They do take the time to get it right, even on the rare occasion that I’ve needed to go back and have a minor adjustment to some little nit-picky thing that bugs me.
