Fantastic experience: I visited on 1/8/26. I LOVE it here! Everyone is SOOOOO friendly! The office is super clean and welcoming. Easy to do X-rays, and they play the BEST music! Makes it challenging to keep your mouth open when you're sitting in the chair dancing & singing! I'm glad I made the choice to come here for my dental care!

Negative experience: Missed appt a while back because something called life, try to set up an appointment again for an emergancy tooth ache and they won't call me back and the scheduling department says I am same day scheduling only, first off I was never informed of that, come to find out the company operates as franchises so each office has discretion to patients, I find it completely unprofessional and will be looking for a new dentist, even though I have been a patient for 8 years.

Fantastic experience: I visited Mortenson Dental on11/10/25. All the staff were very friendly and efficient . Sharol Lecates did my cleanings and X-rays. I didn’t look at my teeth until I got home. They were pearly white and felt so clean. I then visited a friend who thought I had false teeth so for my teeth to be looking as good as false teeth I was very impressed. It was kind of funny cause I had to tell my friend no these are my teeth and I was just really really impressed and satisfied with my overall experience. Thank you for doing such an excellent job.

Negative experience: I am a 62 y/o, retired, Navy RN with 45 years experience, having enlisted at 17. My specialty was surgery...of all variations: RN/BSN/CNOR/RNFA. On 10/7, I had a tooth pulled at this location. I departed under local anesthesia with no discomfort. (See Post-op pain control) I endured a very long night of pain because the provider's here are not licensed to write for narcotics . Update 10/13: My pain level continued to worsen. I developed an infection and notified the clinic on Friday, 10/10. Initially, I was told there were no appointments. Only when I insisted did they make antibiotics available to me...by calling an Rx to the pharmacy. No appointment...no concern about pain...just, a prescription. Dr. Wright will not follow his own expected complications. He knew I was taking Prednisone and prophylactic antibiotics were indicated.... I think he's a Quack! Beware! Update: 10/17 I prayed for a better outcome. The exacerbation of infection, and subsequent pain, also resulted in the loss of TWO adjacent teeth.

Fantastic experience: All the hygienist and ladies at the front desk were SO kind and friendly and really made me feel cared for and seen!

Negative experience: They shaved down my girlfriends teeth without ANY prior communication. Her front tooth is now permanently asymmetrical and its irreversible. This office violated her without consent. If you go here make sure the doctor is explaining EVERY step or you risk them disfiguring you permanently. Go here at your own risk.

Negative experience: Terrible experience with scheduling that was already very frustrating, had to cancel an appt last minute due to a family death. Trying to reschedule with their new call center resulted in being told probably 8 times that I’d get a call back in the next 24-48 hours without that ever happening so I spent an insane amount of time calling them. Then when I finally got ahold of the actual office, I was told I was on a same day only list due to cancelling the appt last minute. Bad enough, but then found out it happened because they incorrectly assumed I had Medicaid because my foster children do, which makes it so much worse. Finding a new dentist ASAP.

Fantastic experience: More than pleasantly surprised by the experience start to finish! Recent transplant to IN, picked Mortenson because they were close to my residence ,took my insurance and had an opening that wasn't months out for a new patient. Upon entry was greeted by friendly, prompt personnel and then received top notch care from Sydney, Jenna and Dr. Wright. Felt they were very thorough, skilled, kind and efficient with the entire process of my cleaning. Loved that Jenna was a "type A", detailed obsessed gal like me, she certainly left no crevice unchecked and my teeth feel awesome! Sydney was very sweet and gentle with the xrays and cleaning being very aware and conscientious of my concerns regarding the tendernous of my face that had recently had stitches. Dr. Wright was very nice and did not make me feel like he was rushing to do a quick check. He gave me adequate time to ask questions and answered all. Feel like I rolled the dice and got a pair of snake eyes!! Highly recommend!

Negative experience: I’ve been a patient here for years, but my recent experiences have been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. After transitioning from Army Reserve to active, I informed the office of the transition (the benefits number does not change during the transition). During my visit for a routine cleaning, I was told I was “good to go” and that my insurance covered everything. Fast forward six months to my next cleaning—suddenly there’s an outstanding bill, and I’m told I have to pay a $140 co-pay before being seen. This was the first time I’d heard of any billing issue. The receptionist, who clearly lacked training and professionalism, insisted that two billing statements had been mailed, though I never received a single one (and yes, I confirmed that the address on file was correct). When I asked for proof, I was told billing is handled externally—but somehow, they were still adamant those statements had been sent. To make matters worse, when I asked about appealing the charge, the receptionist didn’t even understand the difference between a claim and an appeal—something that’s basic knowledge for anyone working in a dental office. I contacted my insurance directly, and they confirmed that the office could’ve submitted an appeal after claims were being denied, but they never did. And they made no effort to reach out to me about the situation. The lack of communication, accountability, and basic understanding of insurance processes is unacceptable. After years of trusting this office, I expected far better.

Negative experience: Everyone was nice, however I was expecting to get some kind of dental work done at a dentist rather than a referral to another dentist.

Positive experience: The assistants are wonderful, however Dr. Low doesn’t seem to want to get to know female patients. He says two words to me but will have full conversations with the man in the next room. I travel over an hour to see him and every time he sees me I always get “Because of the time” even though I show up early and have paid out of pocket for a few visits. Not to mention using days the office has been closed or he’s been out of office against me.

Negative experience: Had dentures done here and seems the doc didn't care if they fit or not first adjustment went well 2nd one didn't even stay in room had the assistance do a little adjustment but he never came back in the room 3rd adjustment still didn't fit top fall out of mouth and make me choke told believe was to long just told me to use the strongest polygrip they got because my jaw muscles to strong and tongue to wide and call back couple days to come in readjust so tried it top still makes me choke bottom hurts front of gums but now can't fit me in til the dec 30 guess they don't care about patients or just Medicaid patients. Staff was all great though. Going call insurance and let them no hopefully they don't pay for them

Negative experience: Been going here for years and the service and treatment have always been excellent. Today they polished my teeth before they cleaned them. This doesn’t sound right, it’s like waxing my car before washing it. Left feeling my teeth were not clean. Usually leave with a fresh clean feeling. Not this time. I won’t be back if this is how things are going to be done in the future.

Fantastic experience: I have cervical dystonia which causes my neck to be moving and my head to be moving constantly. It's very difficult to get through a dentist appointment but Dr. Lowe is always so patient and kind and stops very frequently for me to have breaks. So I would recommend mortensen dental office Jeffersonville as the place to go!

Fantastic experience: Everyone cares and listens....Friendly and knowledgeable!!! Treatment plans are made for the patient not for everyone. If you trust in your dentist and the order of treatment, it is safe and beneficial to you. There is a rhyme to their reason! Anyone who is not in the profession doesn't understand that there are steps to follow for the best results. This office KNOWS!! Dr. Wright is exceptional at his job and yes is sometimes stern in his voice but only so you will understand the urgency of the matter. He has been in his career and at Mortensons for over 20 years. Negative experience: Very rough and rude and don't work with single moms having to potentially bring the child. I already don't like the dentist or anything to do with teeth and the dentist got mad because I refused to look in a mirror with hin brushing my teeth and said no point in showing how to brush your teeth if your not going to look when I had already told him I don't like teeth and then went to the hygienist a few weeks later and she watched me brush my teeth and said that's exactly how you brush them the dentist was so rude and rough on my teeth.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Wright… I skipped the dentist for a few years due to a bad experience somewhere else. I decided to give Mortensons a chance when a crown came off and I was forced to go see a dentist. Dr. Wright ended up doing a full work up and gave me a treatment plan that gave me more anxiety than I could handle. I waited another year but also saved the money during that year (my insurance maxed out quick). After a year, I went back to see him and decided to trust his treatment plan. I needed some cosmetic work done as well but he wasn’t willing to do it until I completed the treatment plan. If I’m being honest, that pissed me off a little. However, I realize now that I needed him to be a little harsh. I made the commitment and now not only have I gotten all of the work completed but I have most of the cosmetic part completed as well. The journey was rough. There were times I wanted to stop going. I’ve read reviews bashing Dr. Wright but I feel like if you just listen to him, his intentions are good. He seems to truly want the best for you. Had he not told me no the cosmetic work, I would’ve never had gotten the other stuff done. Dr. Wright saved my teeth and I even saw him smile… FINALLY!

Negative experience: Came in for a swollen infected wisdom tooth and, needing antibiotics because I was feeling like absolute trash from it. After taking rays, and a quick look. Doctor says I can pull all four wisdom teeth, I'm no professional but I assumed maybe they would prescribe me antibiotics and after I get the infection under control come back and see about taking them out. So I decided to let him take out my top wisdom teeth, the ones giving me the troubles. Pretty quick and painless, but was sent home With no antibiotics, I figured they new what they were doing, well two days later still feeling like crap from the infection, I called the office around 2:00p.m to have antibiotics called in for me. At 8:00p.m missed a call from the doctor because I was sleeping. Got a text saying he called in prescription. I called the pharmacy all day Saturday to check my prescription and nothing, all day Sunday nothing, after calling the office Monday I guess they called them in finally. So finally 6 miserable days later , I finally got some much needed antibiotics. Still feels like part of my wisdom tooth is still in there. I'm definitely not returning, but after I get another xray from another dentist, I'm gonna update this review and let you know if he left part of my wisdom tooth in there. Because the doctors words were " I got it 100%"

Negative experience: The dentist, Fred Wright, is incredibly rude. Most all staff here are kind and cordial however he is not, he will enter the room without saying anything and begin working on your mouth without permission. He orders his hygienists around like minions which made me uncomfortable, and he acted mildly perturbed I had previously missed my appointment on account of my busy school/work schedule. He also insisted I needed care for 10 separate fillings, which my insurance would not cover, and was not interested in discussing, explaining or resolving my issue, just wanted me to make an appointment as soon as possible. Come to find out from another dentist this was not at all necessary, and I am apparently not the only person pressured into unnecessary procedures here. Overall extremely unprofessional. You can at least say “Hi” and “Have a nice day” before leaping up and leaving the room as the words left my mouth. Hey, I get it, patience for patients isn’t always easy, but I am not one to give anyone a hard time on the clock. He simply has a terrible attitude and no respect for patient time or money. Not sure what his issue was but I am sorry I wasted my time getting my teeth cleaned here.

Negative experience: This (Jeffersonville, IN) dental office is absolutely the worst incompetent and unprofessional team I have EVER worked with. I will not return! Starting with the dentist, Fred Wright, who was absolutely rude after I declined “a quick” cavity fill (from an xray). I was prepared to receive my scheduled routine cleaning. With that said, I must prepare for needles however big or small the procedure is going to be. At the end of my cleaning I scheduled my cavity filling appointmen, Two weeks out. The day of my appointment. On the day of my cavity filling appointment, I check in at the front desk at (12:07pm). I was then greeted in the lobby by the dental assistant a minute or two later. The dental assistant, placed me in my room and prepped me for the procedure. The dentist arrives, says NOTHING, he then aggressively grabs my upper lip and gives me my first numbing shot. I immediately said “OUCH! I’m not numb” he then gives a couple more shots. The procedure starts shortly thereafter, I feel unusual pressure and felt like I needed brace myself for a nerve he could/would hit because there seemed to be a lack of care and attention. He leaves the room, returns a few minutes later. While work in my mouth the tools he used were dropped (or placed very very loosely) on my lower teeth….enough for me to jerk my head instinctively. The procedure is over, he exists the room. This arrogant God-complexed dentist leaves without saying ONE WORD! The assistance tells me the numbing medicine will last from 1 - 3 hours. I leave to the front desk to check out and pay. I look down at my watch, the time is 12:47pm. Is anyone catch the time I was in and out? Around 6pm my numbing started to diminish, as it did my mouth wS met with throbbing pain where he packed the filling. I grew increasingly uneasy and upset with my office visit. Fast forward, after several calls to the answering service and the front desk the office manager finally calls me back. When I requested a meeting with her the Denist and the assistant, Theresa Reed, the office manager, tells me, she is will not schedule an appointment just for me to tell him my thoughts, instead what she would do was give me another doctor. ABSOLUTELY NOT! The dentist doesn’t get to act unprofessional and assault me and not receive my feedback on how (I, the uncomfortable patient) felt. This dentist, and his bruised ego, his company, has NO PLACE in my MOUTH! DO BETTER!

The Staff was so Nice, Friendly, Patient, Caring, Welcoming and Prompt/Professional! The Dentist was Amazing, He made sure that I was comfortable and understood everything! I would definitely recommend! Even though they didn't take My insurance they still took great care of Me!

Fantastic experience: I’ll start by just saying this: COME HERE. I have had an innumerable amount of problems with my teeth, and no matter what the issue, this office took every care to meet my needs and to take care of the situation. Not to mention, they are the most caring and patient group of people I’ve ever encountered working in medical, and I myself work in healthcare. They are efficient, caring (genuinely). No one will ever embarrass you or making you feel like your questions are too silly. They will do everything to be thorough and to resolve any issues as best possible, and I can testify that they’ll help you understand the process of any work done along the way. 5 stars, not just for one date of service but literally every single time I’ve had to come. If you’re looking for a dentist office, this would be the one.

Fantastic experience: I went to get some fillings with Dr. Lowe and I must say the procedure went as smooth as he said it would go. I appreciate his patience and professionalism. He was polite, he took his time, he smelled amazing and I left feeling reassured with having Mortenson Family dentist as my dental home. Dr. Wright did my extractions like someone pissed in his cereal. I requested another dentist after he told me I had to deal with the pain of him pulling my teeth and to stop screaming because he had other patients . He never injected me with more numbing or anything. You could tell he was not in the mood and I’d never let him near my mouth again. The staff is very professional, Dr. Lowe and his assistants were absolutely great.

Fantastic experience: Mortenson dental is always on time attentive and friendly. They fixed my broken tooth this morning in 40 minutes. I am so pleased with their care!

Negative experience: Please note my review is only for Dr. F. Wright. I’ve never had any issues with any of the other staff prior. I had this Dr twice on 5/1 & 5/22. My antennas were up when I first met him. I figured maybe he just had an off day. On 5/22 I went in for a fill in on 2 teeth on both sides. I was instantly triggered when he aggressively jammed the local anesthetic in the left side of my jaw. I raised my hand and I told him to give me a minute before numbing the other side. I told him how painful it was and he instantly dismissed it saying it was psychological. I have anxiety. I’ve had bad bad experiences previously with dentists. I’ve been going to this dentist for a couple of years. I thought that I had finally found a great place to go but this guy is a bad seed. Once he left, I asked the dental assistant if I could get my head phones so I could calm myself because I have anxiety. She agreed. The dental assistant was kind to me. When the dr came back, it was like dealing with a dark cloud all over again. After numbing the other side, he started filling it in again aggressively, I raised my hand again for him to stop because it was painful. He complained saying he was almost done and asked if I could just get through it. I told him no. So he numbed my gums some more. Afterwards, the dental assistant was having me tap and grind my teeth and I expressed my concerns saying that I didn’t think I was giving a proper bite because I was biting my jaws. I was concerned about her drilling too low. She was like ok. When the doctor comes back I’ll have him look at it. The dr comes back, I expressed my concerns. He invalidated what I said and then Complimented the dental assistant for doing a great job. When he got to the other side I could feel him pushing my jaw out the way. This experience was horrifying. He was too aggressive in my mouth and he didn’t care about me at all. He invalidated the pain I was experiencing and he made it worse by being overly aggressive while working on my teeth. Since that experience I can only chew soft foods on one side. I did tell the front desk that I never wanted him again. They were nice about it. But this man needs to go. He needs to retire and find something else to do. I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone.

Fantastic experience: I love Mortenson Family Dental. It is bright and clean. They are well connected technologically. You can efficiently schedule appointments and receive updates and reminders via text. The staff is friendly. LOL - AND, in addition, my dental needs have been well taken care of - cleanings and cavities that have arisen.

Negative experience: Filled a cavity on a tooth, didn't work. Crown on the same tooth, didn't work. I called for a referral for a root canal, have to be seen by the doctor. It's a 45 minute drive in for me .. 5 minutes before my appointment time (was literally pulling in parking lot), got a call and was told I don't need to come in... that the doctor had reviewed the chart and approved a referral. When I expressed frustration with that ....didn't even get an apology. Got an apathetic "well, the doctor can't give a referral until he reviews the chart". I guess the Dr reviewing the chart a day or 2 before the appointment is a mind blowing concept. Disrepectful of patient time and apathetic. Won't be back.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient for many years here and have always had great service and they are always as gentle as they can be. usually a short wake but apologize if something has came up too.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Wright and his assistant were awesome! He always makes sure, I feel comfortable with the work done on my teeth before I leave his chair!
