Fantastic experience: I recently switched to Ladera Dentistry. The staff is incredibly friendly. They walk you through what they are doing and how much things will cost prior to moving forward with any procedures. Every staff member is extremely kind and love interacting with their patients!

Fantastic experience: I had a deep cleaning at Ladera Dentistry and honestly couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the moment I walked in, the team made me feel welcome and totally at ease. The front desk was friendly and organized, and I barely had to wait before being taken back. The hygienist was amazing — super gentle, thorough, and constantly checked in to make sure I was comfortable. Deep cleanings can be stressful, but they explained everything clearly, took their time, and made the whole process feel smooth and manageable. I really appreciated how careful and detailed they were, without ever making me feel rushed. The dentist was just as great: professional, kind, and took the time to answer my questions and walk me through my gum health and next steps. I left feeling genuinely cared for — not just like another appointment on the schedule. If you’re nervous about dental work or need a deep cleaning, I can’t recommend Ladera Dentistry enough. Clean office, great energy, and a team that truly knows how to take care of people. I’ll definitely be coming back in FIVE weeks.

Fantastic experience: Going to the dentist has never been a fun experience per se but a good one can make it as pleasant an endeavor as possible. Ladera Dentistry is one of those places. The environment is clean, well spaced, calm. The staff is patient, inviting, and take the time to make you as comfortable as possible. For example - during a deep cleaning I was provided a neck pillow which is a small but very much appreciated act to show they are aware of their clientele needs. And they utilize modern technology to help identify, diagnose, and provide a treatment plan that make a difference. Thank you for keeping my teeth healthy and appreciate the amazing service.

She was very sweet. kept checking on me and before I knew it, she was already done - didn’t feel any pain. I have never had the cleanest teeth and the most comforting experience at a dentist office like this one. Will come again - 10/10 service.

Fantastic experience: I really enjoyed my visit to Ladera Dentistry from beginning to the end. The personal greeting after entering from Kylee was warm and welcoming. The vibe inside was not the normal boring, elevator music, forget that I’m here experience. From that point I had the pleasure of meeting Kaitlyn who gave me a personalized tour of the office from refreshments that they offered to where they sterilize all of their equipment, photos of patients. I was very impressed and felt comfortable. Thank you very much Kaitlyn. She then showed me the room where I was to sit and began with her taking X-rays. She was very thorough and thoughtful . I was then introduced to Dr Gabriella who was excellent, personable and professional. She explained what she was doing and put me at ease. I was very impressed and will definitely recommend this practice to all that I know. Having worked for the Ritz Carlton for 13 years, I know what personalized service is and how valuable of an asset it is to an establishment!! Keep up the great work, I’ll be back!!

As a 1st time patient here, they oriented me to their entire office (showed where the instruments are sterilized, etc.), introduced me to the staff, and just made me feel welcome and comfortable as a patient. They also had a welcome goodie bag for you. I’ve been to other different offices/clinics and the staff and dentist here are the kindest and most welcoming of all. They are so patient and I never felt like they are in a hurry while doing my exams or when explaining to me my plan of care. Skillwise, they are excellent! I highly recommend! I’m so glad I found this place.

Fantastic experience: Ladera Dentistry is like no other dentist office. They are always accommodating to their patients, from movie glasses to heated blankets. My 8 year old daughter needed a tooth extraction and Dr. Mai was very patient in easing her nerves and answering all her questions (there was a lot). But once the procedure started, Dr. Mai worked proficiently to remove the tooth in a timely manner. Overall, we had a great experience and the whole family now goes here.

She knew exactly what needed to be done with my teeth, and believe me, it was a lot work that needed to be done because I had held off on going to the dentist for five years. Fantastic experience: Iv been with Dr. Mai for more than 10years and all i have to say is that Dr. Mai and all of her staff always make me feel like a family and someone important. Not to mention that they always do a great job and great service. I moved 1 hour away from Ladera Ranch and up to this day I don’t mind the travel because it is worth it.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient here in Ladera Dentistry since 2018. They helped me resolved my dental issues and take care my oral health since then. All their staff including Dr. Mai are kind, very accomodating and professional. I love the quality of service that they render for their patients. The facility is very clean and well kept.

Negative experience: This is what I get for trusting Google reviews and not going by word-of-mouth. I had previously gone to a dentist in Newport, but recently moved down this way and couldn’t find a referral so just trusted the good reviews. This dental practice is bizarre. I can’t speak to the fact of whether or not they’re good dentists, I went just to get a cleaning. I was taken in for more x-rays than I’ve ever been taken at a dentist office, videos of my smiles photos, a 3-D machine. I was there two hours and they hadn’t even gotten to the cleaning. The hygienist is nice but talks so much and asks so many personal questions all trying to make you feel comfortable, but it’s honestly just weird. The dentist recommended all these crowns and cavities to be filled. I have been to the dentist every six months and have extremely healthy teeth. Haven’t had a cavity in years. I asked why my old Dentist hadn’t suggested any of this and she said she wasn’t sure. “Maybe they just weren’t up to their standards.” I finally said I have to get out of here., I’ve been here for two hours, can we just do the cleaning? she acted surprised that I wanted my teeth cleaned and recommended an $85 bacterial treatment and $40 toothpaste, which I heard them offering to every client. I had a laundry list of recommended treatments. There’s a lot of similar reviews on Yelp, but not on Google.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Ly has been my dentist for six years. I feel so fortunate to have such a great dental care professional right here in Ladera Ranch. Today, Dr. Ly and her assistant Julio spent 2.5 hours working in my mouth. They teamed up to demolish four old crowns and veneers on my front teeth that showed a concerning level of decay. Then, they provided me with a comfortable set of temporary replacement teeth. Dr. Ly used the latest Pulsed Laser Technology to remove most of the old veneers. She used a bit of “old-fashion drilling” to patch up decay and clean the base structure of the remaining teeth. Finally, Dr. Ly used state-of-the-art LIDAR (Laser) Scanning with 3D modeling to sculpt the porcelain replacements. I’ll return in 2 weeks for installation of the permanent veneers. Of course, the entire procedure was painless. Considering the amount of work involved - it seemed to go quick, too. She kept me informed by narrating the procedure while she was working. I’m very satisfied that Dr. Ly is skilled in the latest dental tech and used it efficiently to solve my problem. Best of all, the cost was reasonable.

Fantastic experience: I was very well taken care of by this great team. I usually have Dr Mai tend to all my dental needs. But Dr An did my back molar filling and the front tooth Bonding. Cosmetically, it looks amazingly. And I did not feel any pain during the numbing phase. Amazing. Amazing!

UPDATE (4/28/2025): Just finished my appointment to have my implant replaced again. Had an implant put in by Dr. Mai in 2019 after a cracked a tooth. Procedure went really smooth with no issues. However, since then, the implant has had to be replaced because of manufacturer defect. This is the 2nd time. Rest assured, Dr. Mai decided to use another manufacturer. Procesure went even more smooth as she used an ingenous way to keep the area of the implant clean/healthy while waiting for it to come in. Would like to thank Dr. Mai and the staff at Ladera Dentistry for such a superb experience.
