Fantastic experience: I was very impressed with Lost Mountain Dental and Dr. Molly Johnson and her associates. They were excellent in their recommendation for solving my jaw tooth problem. I would say anyone would be impressed.

Fantastic experience: I had an appointment today 6/15/23 to have a crown sealed. Prior to that Dr. Mulkey had recommended a root canal to preserve the tooth which had been a troublesome tooth. Dr. Mulkey and staff always makes sure I am comfortable and understands the procedure he will do. It went quite well. I have been a patient of Dr. Mulkey for close to 30 years and he has done a remarkable job of keeping my teeth healthy and functional. He and his staff are a welcoming group, professional, caring, with a good sense of humor. I would highly recommend this practice for pain free, anxiety free, superb dental care. 9/21/23 Routine appointment for dental cleaning. Haley did a great job of cleaning my teeth and Dr. Mulkey did a thorough exam of my teeth and oral cavity. As is his custom approach Dr. Mulkey explained everything he saw and did in my treatment plan. Dr. Mulkey and staff are always welcoming, kind, empathetic, & professional and they go above and beyond to make each visit comfortable and stress free. Excellent dental practice and team. 12/18/25 Was seen for a routine cleaning appointment and Haley did a great job cleaning my teeth and I was examined by Dr. Johnson who noted some bone loss around one of my implants and referred me to an periodontist to evaluate the tooth. My appointment was professional, efficient, and I was well pleased with the appointment and it was pain free. Great practice.

Negative experience: Strange interaction with front office staff. Just tried to reschedule and appt and got laughs and giggles at me trying to see next available times. They even cut me off when I had to explain why I was asking the questions that I did. This place has changed a lot under the new team

Negative experience: Unacceptable Customer Service - Total Lack of Professionalism I had such a poor experience with the front office staff that I felt compelled to walk out before receiving any treatment. I arrived five minutes late due to unexpected traffic. Two minutes after my appointment time, the office called me about the required paperwork. I informed them, as I had via a text message earlier that morning, that the link they sent for the pre-appointment forms was broken/non-functional on their end, which is why I hadn't completed them. Upon arrival, the front desk employee's attitude was overtly annoyed and passive-aggressive. She immediately gave me eye rolls and made comments under her breath about the time, making me feel deeply disrespected. She then called other patients to push back their appointments, explicitly stating it was because of a patient being late—a completely unprofessional thing to discuss in front of a waiting patient. A subsequent patient who was also late did not receive this same level of hostile treatment. I have spent over 30 years in customer-facing roles. I understand the importance of making customers feel respected, especially in a healthcare setting. The atmosphere this employee created was so uncomfortable and hostile that I decided I absolutely would not feel comfortable receiving dental care here. Customer service is a reflection of the entire practice, and this experience was a complete failure. I urge this office to retrain their front-facing staff on basic professionalism and respect for patients. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Negative experience: I like the dentist here. I would give them 5 stars. When I called this morning to reschedule an appointment I had, the woman that answered the phone was incredibly condescending. I had a work emergency come up and had to cancel 20 minutes before my appointment. I don't like canceling with so little notice because I like to keep appointments and I know I'm going to have to pay a fee. When I rescheduled my appointment for next week, the woman on the phone said, "and you are going to be able to make this appointment?" I had just told her I had a work emergency come up. She then told me, "We are going to confirm this appointment with you." They confirm every appointment. Her attitude towards customers gives you the feeling that they don't value their customers. I have been going to this dentist for over 5 years and live within walking distance, but I am now considering going to a different dentist.

Fantastic experience: I called for a last minute appointment due to tooth pain and they were able to get me in that same day! Brandi and Dr Johnson were super friendly and professional. An overall great experience!

The young lady who treated me was very cordial, very professional n took time to point out certain things to improve my dental health. Negative experience: Lost Mountain Dental I have been visiting this clinic for some time and have been seeing it slip more every time I go. What used to be a pleasant experience has become a dreaded commitment. My recent experience was with a hygienist named Candice. Not friendly, not welcoming nor pleasant to be around. One could say you go there to get your teeth cleaned not make friends, but THIS IS COMMON, NORMAL AND PROPER SOCIAL BEHAVIOR TO BE FRIENDLY, TO BE ENGAGING, TO BE WELCOMING especially when we are customers. Final note, had a colleague telling the same story about the SAME PRACTICE! Then I read another online review about the same behavior…. Management these are clues that some of your staff need to be nudged to be better trained, more professional and provide some positive energy around there.

Fantastic experience: I had my teeth cleaned by a friendly and very skilled hygienist (Hannah or Hailey?) and an exam from Dr Johnson. I’m 67 years old, started coming to Lost Mountain Dental 9 years ago with yellowing teeth, bleeding gums, and poor dental hygiene habits. That’s all changed. Now I’m in and out of the chair in less than 45 minutes with a healthy report. I’m grateful for the quality care and encouragement provided by each hygienist & dentist I’ve seen over the years. They’ve made a huge difference.

Fantastic experience: My family has been going to Dr. Mulkey for over a decade for our dental health. I never have liked going to the dentist, but Dr. Mulkey and his team make sure that I am relaxed and know exactly what is going on. He is very comforting and listens to me and his whole practice team is top notch. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: My mom and I moved to Cartersville a year ago and were looking for a dentist who accepted our federal dental insurance (MetLife Federal). There are a few dentists who accept our insurance in Cartersville (although most don’t) but I wasn’t satisfied with the reviews. Mom and I both have significant dental anxiety so I spent dozens of hours researching dental practices and reading reviews because I wanted the best of the best for us. I found Lost Mountain Dental on Google Maps and the reviews were fantastic so I called to see if they accepted our insurance. Lo and behold, they did, so I scheduled our appointments for October 30, 2024. It’s almost an hour drive for us each way but it’s totally worth it. The practice has 3 dentists and 5 hygienists. Mom and I each had a different dentist and different hygienist and we absolutely loved all of them. Mom had Dr. Michael Yang and Candace; I had Dr. Molly Johnson and Carolyn. They were all very knowledgeable, personable, and non-judgmental (my last dentist in Suwanee spent our entire first appointment lecturing me about how my bottom teeth wouldn’t be crooked if I had worn my retainer after I got my braces taken off. I had braces like 33 years ago!!! I don’t even know if I had a retainer much less what happened to it!). The dentists and hygienists all made us feel very safe and comfortable. They didn’t try to talk us into anything we didn’t need and they actually had a patient come in with a minor emergency and managed to fit him in that same day. Apparently that’s their policy. Our old dentist in Virginia made Mom wait 2 weeks when she had a really, really bad toothache several years ago, so this was a very refreshing change. If you’re ever looking for a dentist in Marietta or Kennesaw or any of the surrounding areas, Lost Mountain Dental is totally worth checking out! We both got x-rays, teeth cleaning/polishing, and a clean bill of health and have our next appointments set up for May 2025 and we’re actually not dreading it! (And if we were, they offer sedation dentistry as well.) 10/10 would totally recommend them!

This office is top notch.Pristine clean gorgeous designed office with comfortable dental chairs.I was called back each time with hardly any wait and even early which is great! The hygienist I see is an asset to the company and the best professional hygienist in the dental industry I have experienced with cleanings. Both Doctors are highly knowledgeable, personable, kind and excellent with their care to patients.I have personally seen both, one being the owner. They also offer a great reasonable in house dental plan for those with no dental insurance. Great for families.

Fantastic experience: Went for my first visit and was impressed from the start. After I checked in, I only waited a few minutes before called back. The hygienist welcomed me and then told me what she was going to do, X-rays and pictures, and was very efficient. She asked if I had any concerns and relayed them to Dr. Johnson. When Dr.Johnson came in, we talked about my concerns and she laid out a plan and recommended an orthodontist to consult. Although I do have work that needs to be done, a crown, I like that she suggested to get the other concern, my bite, taken care of first to ensure it didn’t damage the crown when placed. Highly professional, efficient and very nice staff.

Fantastic experience: I did not like going to the dentist as a child, but things have sure changed since then! Lost Mountain makes you feel comfortable, and cared for. The entire staff is fabulous—the dentists, the hygienists, and the office staff. I really like Danielle and Dr. Johnson. They’re my favorite team! I don’t not mind going to the dentist, now.

Negative experience: The suction machine overheated at the start of our visit so the appointment started over an hour later than scheduled. I am not really sure what would've happened if the suction machine overheated in the middle of my daughter having a cavity filled. We were told that "this happens sometimes" but they never know if it will be fixed in 10 minutes or several hours. In addition to this issue, I have experienced staff being rude over the phone when scheduling appointments. It's disappointing, most of the staff we have encountered in person are actually super personable & kind! Our most recent experience was just not great. Hopefully they are replacing the broken machine.

Fantastic experience: Everyone from the office staff, to the dental hygienists, to the dentists are great and very friendly! My family and I see Dr. Johnson, and we absolutely love her. I have major dental anxiety, but the staff always makes me feel relaxed and calm. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

Negative experience: Recently visited, I am not a new patient. I’ve been here before and have had way better experiences. The women helping Dr. Mulkey was extremely rude. She barely addressed me, responded with much irritation. To the point where I considered simply asking for someone else. I thought she was having a bad day until I heard her perk up once Dr Mulkey came in. I automatically assume she had profiled me and never wanted to have me as a client from the moment she seen me. It’s unfortunate as I’ve never had an issue here before. My experience was disturbing and I will not be returning.

My previous dentist always felt like they were giving a sales pitch and more concerned with money than my oral health. It turned me off to going altogether. Fantastic experience: I've been going to this dentist for years. However, for the past few years I haven't been able to use this dentist, due to my insurance not being in-network. Alas, now that I have obtained insurance that is in-scope, I was back today, to get a cleaning. And, as they always have, they didn't disappoint. Candace did a good job with the cleaning and overall review of my teeth. PS: A shame that insurance is not always in-scope, no matter the service provider that you choose...

Fantastic experience: I had a dental emergency on a Friday afternoon after the office had closed and Dr Johnson was the dentist on call and readily met me at the office after hours Friday afternoon and provided a temporary solution that allowed me to continue activities over the weekend until she could see me before lunch on Monday morning for a more lasting solution. Dr Johnson did an outstanding job and made the on call service a very pleasant experience and made it a priority to ensure she was able to finish a more lasting solution. Her dental assistant, Tracy, was amazing at performing the tasks required to support Dr Johnson in the dental support required. Tracy was required to create a temporary dental bridge and the results were very high quality. Many that saw the result of her work thought the quality was so good that they thought it was the final product. Our family has been going to Lost Mountain Dental for 30 years and have never had a disappointing experience.

Fantastic experience: Had a dental appointment recently with Doctor Johnson and Debbie. The staff were super friendly and made me feel comfortable right away. Doctor Johnson is always knowledgeable and explains everything so well. The office is always clean, which was reassuring. Best part? It didn't hurt at all! Dental Hygienist Danielle was terrific: professional, engaging, informative, and careful to ensure I was comfortable. Dr. Mulkey not only spent time laying out my treatment options and making recommendations on a path forward, he spent time getting to know ME. Unexpected, and greatly appreciated.

He and his staff perform exams, x-rays, and cleanings with excellent technical skills and are very welcoming, professional, reassuring, and gentle. My hygienist went over areas that I need to pay particular attention to. Great visit. Pleasant experience.

Fantastic experience: From the front desk receptionist to the Dental Assistant everyone in the office was sweet, kind and helpful. They got me in for an emergency procedure and I didn't have to wait all day either. Dr. Mulkey was very personable, explained the whole procedure to me and did it in no time. I am VERY impressed with the entire staff!!

Negative experience: Poor experience with the front office desk. Very argumentative about a billing concern. My wife recently encountered a very curt hygienist who berated her about being a few minutes late to her appointment (which we informed the front office ahead of time). I'm not sure what type of "notes" they keep, but the hygienist seemed to use that as additional leverage towards my wife.

Fantastic experience: Great! The whole staff is very professional and accommodating. Beautiful office, nice modern equipment, my hygienist, Danielle, is a master of her craft. If you are looking for a new dentist I highly recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: I had an emergency (fractured tooth). Saw Dr Mulkey for the first time. He worked me in within 2 hrs and had me out of pain in no time. Administered nitrous oxide per my request due to anxiety. This was the best dental experience of my life and I'm 69. I'll tell my friends and family about you. Fantastic experience: This is the dentist I was looking for a long time I had many before and I had to quit because I was overcharged and did not had a good feeling about the dentist. Not only Dr Mulkey but everybody else who worked there is very polite and know if you have a question about anything. Fantastic experience: There’s a reason I go to Dr. Mulky: he’s very professional, & VERY experienced. I may be 67 yo, but I’m a child when it comes to needles & pain! Don’t know how he does it, but I barely know he has numbed me. That’s experience! Today he replaced fillings I’ve had as a child; so PRETTY OLD!! I was hesitant bc a prior associate did the same, but drilled to the nerve. I ended up in a lot of pain & a ROOT CANAL!!! It’s the end of the day, I feel GREAT & it’s all bc Dr. Mulky is a GREAT dentist!

Fantastic experience: Today was my second visit with Dr Johnson and staff. I am not a big fan of any procedure at the dentist but they did everything possible to make me comfortable and less afraid. They are kind and easy to talk to, gentle and very considerate.

Fantastic experience: Every visit at Lost Mountain is a positive experience. My hygienist, Hannah always seats me on time. She never hurts me, but is very thorough and pleasant. Everyone else on staff is also always friendly. I find the office to be neat and clean and I highly recommend this office to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I have been going here for over 10 years, and I have literally always had a great experience. Dr. Mulkey is a magician - he has given me root canals, fillings, even pulled a tooth - I never feel a thing during the procedure, and if I have any soreness later, it's nothing an ibuprofen can't knock out. I swear, even the shots don't hurt. I've never had complications afterwards, either! The staff is kind and professional (and fun)! They make sure I get every benefit my dental insurance offers and their billing is straightforward and easy. When finances are tight, they adjust my treatment plan and have set me up with financing. Even the referrals to oral surgeons and pediatric dentists have been excellent. Dr. Mulkey even met me on a Saturday once for an emergency. I have had dentists from Seattle to Germany, (and a few really terrible experiences), and I have never had a dentist so skilled as Dr. Mulkey. He is the reason I am happy to go to the dentist after decades of feeling scared. He doesn't push unnecessary work, never tries to sell me on extras. (There's nothing worse than someone with a drill in your mouth promoting some expensive new whatever!) I think that's everything important to me in a dental office - happy and efficient staff, pain-free treatment, ethical in treating and billing, consistent and high quality work. And nitrous on request.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Dr Mulkey for 20+ years. I had to cancel my cleaning appointment and LMD was able to put me on the wait list and called me about a week later. Hygienist was so nice and I also got to meet Dr Mulkey’s partner, Dr Johnson. Also very nice.

Fantastic experience: I love my dentist. Dr. Kennedy makes it feel more like a spa day than getting a filling. A pillow for under my neck? Moistening my lips so my lips don't dry out during the procedure? a blanket when I got chilly? Music or dish TV channel of my choice? What? And a warm towelette to wipe your face at the end! My dental work was exquisitely done too. Near painless shots, friends!!!! Not only are they great and competent dental professionals but their attention to detail, comfort, and cleanliness is amazing. Just the best dental experience ever. Love love love Dr Kennedy and her hygienist, Haley, at Lost Mountain Dental! Hailey loves her job and it shows. She’s thorough and careful. And such a sweet girl. It’s important that your dental Professionals be competent, but these two ladies are also very kind and patient. They have anticipated every need and they just like to keep patients happy. Dr Kennedy is very competent and conservative in her approach. If you have any phobias about dentists or if you just like being pampered you need to go see Dr Melissa Kennedy.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to this office for a long time. The staff are welcoming and they connected me with a great orthodontist for Invisalign which has helped me tremendously. My last visit my dental hygienist even gave me some restaurant recommendations for my upcoming vacation all while getting my teeth cleaned! Can't say enough good things about this office.
