Fantastic experience: Haven't been to a dentist office in years. They were patient, explained everything to me of what needs to be done. Broke down my appointments into ways my insurance would work best and be more affordable. Office is always clean and front desk ladies are always smiling and professional.

Fantastic experience: I had to find a new dentist and my insurance listed Dr. Christian as a provider. Today was my first visit with this office, for a cleaning. Everyone in the office was very friendly and put me at ease. The cleaning and x-rays were very thorough and the hygienist was very good. Dr. Christian was very personable, did a good exam and did a good job explaining everything to me. Based on this first visit, I would recommend this office.

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience! From start to finish, the entire team was welcoming, professional, and incredibly thorough in explaining every step of my visit. I never once felt rushed or unsure about what was happening, which made the whole experience so much more comfortable. One of the most impressive aspects of this office is their state-of-the-art technology. The digital 3D imaging machine that creates a full model of your mouth is truly incredible. It made it so much easier to understand what was going on with my dental health, and I appreciated how precise and efficient the process was. What really stood out to me was the no-pressure approach. They explained everything clearly, gave me all my options, and never pushed unnecessary treatments. I felt fully informed and confident in my decisions, which is something I really value in a dental office. Negative experience: I do not recommend Smile & Co. While the staff were friendly, I was not informed until after my appointment that my insurance was actually out of network, which ended up costing me a significant amount of money. My husband was told he was covered, but the prices at this office were extremely expensive compared to a different office. The treatment plan I was given also seemed questionable. This experience feels misleading and unfair. I strongly urge the office to review the charges and address how they communicate insurance coverage to patients. Based on our experience, I would avoid this office.

If you've had a negative dental experience (or just looking for a dentist) and you are putting off your own dental health and wellbeing (like I was for well over 2 years), please consider at least a telephone consult with one of the team members. I personally guarantee that you will feel the peaceful nature when you walk through the door. They will authentically and consciously listening to you and your concerns to gain a deeper understanding of your needs. Couple that with the latest dental concepts, treatments and technology. They are hands down a life changer. Be well~

Negative experience: I have a long, bad review for this practice. I got fillings June 2025, during which they tried to upsell me on an UNNECESSARY crown. When I tried to have Nikki explain WHY this was necessary, she got noticeably short and angry! I refused the crown. She then said, “well, we’ll have to do it later, since you LOVE BEING NUMBED UP SO MUCH.” Excuse me ?! She said it in SUCH a snotty, snarky tone- I couldn’t believe a provider would speak to a patient this way, especially while I was in a vulnerable state and unable to better advocate for myself. I do have a voice recording of this interaction, since I knew I’d be incapacitated to some extent during this visit. It was actually shocking to hear how incredibly demeaning she was to me. I will NOT be back, obviously. I also got a second opinion on needing a crown, and of course I didn’t need it. I’ll be giving that dentist my business from now on. Furthermore, she did ~ $20k worth of unnecessary work on my 90+ year old, now deceased, grandmother. Putting bridges in that had nothing to hold onto, etc. Dr Nikki should be ashamed of herself for this unethical practice.

Fantastic experience: Called to see if they could get me in for a quick laser treatment for my horrific cold sore and they got me in the same day! They just gained a new patient.

Fantastic experience: I have severe dental anxiety and the team at Smiles and Co were absolutely amazing! Every single person was so kind, and very accommodating! They went through every single process with me, and I felt right at home! I can’t recommend them enough!!!

Fantastic experience: They fixed me. So I went to an emergency dentist out of convenience. They had to remove a tooth that came out in 14 pieces and do a bone graft on me. I was in so much pain. I was in three weeks of excruciating . My wife told me to call, Smiles and CO. In Independence. This is my wife’s dentist and her cousin‘s dentist. When I saw them, they took an x-ray and decided to pack my gums with something to help it heal. That really sped up the healing process. I bet if I would’ve just listened to my wife in the first place and went there to begin with I might’ve been in pain for a couple days. Not a total of four weeks. As everybody knows tooth pain is awful. It shoots into your head and just kind of makes you feel awful. Not to mention the lack of sleep caused by the pain. These guys are absolutely the best dentist I’ve ever been to and truthfully, I can’t wait to go back and see them. I’m actually looking forward to getting the rest of my mouth fixed now.

Fantastic experience: This place was so perfect for me when I needed a dentist in a hurry. Late at night, I lost a crown. I didn’t have a dentist. I frantically searched for one who could get me in asap and as a new patient. Well I found Dr Christian on a Google search that night. I went on the website and scheduled an appointment for the very next day. I cannot put into words how different and good it felt being there. Just walking in I felt good about this place. When I met the doctor and team I felt like I was meant to be here and it was going to be okay. Dr Christian was professional and easy to understand her plan to help me. Her team and associate made it possible to feel comfortable and safe. This was by far the best dentist experience I have had over my lifetime. I can’t wait for my new crown and to see what my happier dental smile and bite future holds.

Negative experience: This office is completely money-driven and has zero accountability for their lack of communication. I scheduled a new patient exam, cleaning, and x-rays, uploaded my insurance card, filled out their forms, and even received a scheduling call — yet not once did they mention they are out of network. Only after my appointment and services were done did they tell me “insurance pays 80% and you pay 20%” and that they would keep my card on file to charge later. When I followed up, I was casually told, “This usually happens when they’re out of network,” as if it was no big deal. That was the first time anyone disclosed it. I understand it is my responsibility as a member to know my benefits, but if I don’t, it is still standard ethical practice for any dental office to verify and clearly inform a new patient of their network status before treatment. They deliberately skipped that and put their profits before the patient’s best interest. They do not care about transparency, and they certainly do not put patients first.

Fantastic experience: Great experience. They got me in right away. The staff is very friendly and thorough. The front office people helped me understand how my insurance worked with my visit. Both doctors are awesome.

Fantastic experience: My experience at Smiles & Co. was about as good as it gets. The staff is great at what they do. It is obvious that they prioritize the concerns and needs of the patient. I like that they are very informative about whatever work needs to be done. I was impressed with the way they keep all your information in their files so they can identify and compare any changes. The hygienist actually comes out to the checkout desk to confirm what was done during your visit so the charges get billed accurately. I love this place and I would recommend them to anyone who needs to find a dentist.

She clearly explained my options and made a recommendation, suggesting I contact my previous dentist to rectify the issue, which would be cost-effective. Fantastic experience: Today was my first appointment. It exceeded all my expectations and I came in hesitant because I am interested in holistic health practices. To my surprise they were able to accommodate my request for non-fluoride products AND on top of that the staff is amazing. Literally, every person was kind, caring and knowledgeable. I loved that Rachel explained, as she cleaned my teeth, what she was doing and why. Also, Megan did the same as she took my x-rays. I also felt relaxed and comfortable as I was wrapped up in a warm plush blanket and given some cool sunglasses during my visit. My plan was to shop around for a new dentist, but I’m sold after 1 visit. Even, the insurance lady was incredibly nice. I made out of the norm requests for details on products they use and no one flinched a bit. Thanks Dr. Nikki and team for making this an exceptional visit. Fantastic experience: Kind and gentle with dental anxiety patients! I have major dental anxiety and one of the quickest ways to get me upset is to make me feel ashamed about my oral hygiene. Shea (I think spelling) was incredibly friendly, and transparent about what she was doing and why. She also informed me that my dental issues were not at all due to my own hygiene, but simply due to the position of my bite. She was careful and kind. All of the staff made me feel comfortable and confident in the process. I highly recommend and will definitely continue my care here.

Fantastic experience: One of my young sons saw Bre and Dr.Christian for two fillings. This was his first time having to get one and he was a bit nervous. She was wonderful in ensuring his comfort, both emotionally and physically! All of our children have received great care here.
