Negative experience: i’ve been coming to this dental office for a couple years now. i used to love it here, as the staff were always friendly and nonjudgmental, personable and always did a good job. however on my most recent visit, i didn’t recognize any of the staff, it seemed like a whole new crew. everyone from the receptionists to the hygienists to the dentist were different. no big deal i thought, until i was treated by the new staff that were there. when i arrived my appointment was pushed back to 3 hours after the original scheduled time and i was asked to come back later. i didn’t mind as much, but as my appointment was one that required a couple hours, because it was pushed back i was there until closing. towards the end it felt like i was being rushed out of the chair and the work done on my teeth was not completed to the best of their ability. “coincidentally” they finished 3 minutes before closing. i had water dripping down my neck, air being blown all over my face, and at the end of my appointment the dentist told me she didn’t want to do more work on my teeth because my gums kept bleeding the whole time. it ruined the one thing i loved about this office: i felt judged. i was then asked to schedule another appointment to get more work done without being given a treatment plan or being told what i am even making the appointment for. while i hate to leave, this place isn’t what it used to be anymore.

For that I’m very grateful. I myself had the pleasure of having Christina she was very gentle and also explained every step. I most of all appreciate the communication the team has even though Christina did not see my son she knew everything about him as they share these important facts with each other. If you have small kiddos I do recommend.

Negative experience: My dentist relocated and I chose to visit her new location. I completed and signed a records release at my last appointment (cleaning). The new office requested records twice & got a “no”. Skymarks contacted me a few times to schedule an appointment before my benefits year ended (I did not), then to remind me of the appointment that I had scheduled (??). This is not the same Skymarks that earned my business and great reviews. I wish the new dentist(s) success but the staff won’t make it easy. <> Dr. DeBonis is “hands down” the very best dentist I have ever encountered (includes family members). She is the most demanding, skillful, professional, empathetic human being that I have known. After several years as a patient, I trust Dr. DeBonis completely. Although I have moved away from Skymarks, I travel to retain “my dentist”.

Fantastic experience: The BEST dental clinic in Jax!!! These ladies are the sweetest. From the second I walked in, Emily at the front desk was such a ray of sunshine and treated me with so much care. Kimberly my dental hygienist is such a gem!! She truly cares about you and will take such good care of you. The dentist is super sweet and explains things really good. Shary checked me out and spoke to me about my treatment plan, she was so so nice. Honestly this was the best experience I’ve ever had at a dental clinic!

Positive experience: Everybody was excellent and the hygienist spent extra time on my teeth. They looked better than I have seen them in a while. The one thing that irritates me is every time I go there I feel like I walked onto a used car lot with everyone trying to get me to have more work done. My teeth are not in bad shape and I have a lot of doctors that I’m seeing so I don’t have the time and when I get finished I’m going to need a period of relaxation. This is every time that I go and it has made me think of finding a new dentist. The plan of care are dreaded words. I will get the work done on my time frame and hate feeling pestered.

Negative experience: The communication as far as services that arent covered by your provider is non existent. I was charged for services I didnt know weren't covered after telling them i couldn't afford a procedure I was recommended that I needed to put off due to my finances at the time. This isn't the 1st time they've done this either.

Fantastic experience: From the moment I walked in, I knew that this was the dentist for me! I was kindly greeted by both ladies at the front desk. From the dental assistant, a young lady, named Erika Rodgers assisted me! She explained everything she was doing as she did it. Then Dr. Rajeev Patel filled my chipped front tooth. I can tell that he wanted to make sure that work he performed was perfect. You can't even tell that the tooth was filled!! Erika helped in choosing the color of the filling, which matched perfectly. There was no pain at all! This was my first visit at Skymarks Family Dental Care and it was flawless. I'm going to get my husband to switch over with me and anyone else I know ! I am beyond pleased!!!

Fantastic experience: Spoke with a young woman over the phone yesterday named Emily. I called to try to become a new patient and get more information about the office. She was incredibly patient and sweet to me and showed overwhelming professionalism. Any office should be considered lucky to have someone like her. I’ve dealt with so many offices in the past and she’s made my experience one of the best I’ve had in years and I will certainly be bringing myself and my family here because of it. If she is a reflection of the culture of this office then I have high hopes I’ll be taken care of the right way

I called to set up an appointment and they squeezed me into their schedule, the next day, to be seen. My recent 2nd visit was also a great experience with Megan. Fantastic experience: My dental appointment was great! The dental hygienist is very thorough. She listened to my issues and informed the dentist of my problems. A treatment plan was provided and my next appointment has been scheduled along with a referral for a periodontist.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to a few dental practices in the city and they are by far the most professional.

Negative experience: Would not recommend!! The front desk has zero customer service skills. My kid was there with my mom today, she was upset due to hearing the work that was needed at $1500.00. She stated she would call and pay the $80 dollars for the exam and a clerk came out knocking on the window to pay now!! She was a patient for a long time and no debt to them. I hope you are happy doing that infront of my child too!!

Negative experience: First off I have to say that I am not a hostile patient. The truth being that I am very dissatisfied with the treatment. Every person I have dealt with at Skymarks Family Dental Care has been very polite and I do appreciate that. My issue is that I went there because I was in severe pain. I am disabled and live in pain everyday but I can't take the teeth pain. I went in January 26th and today is February 10th. The dentist referred me out to get multiple teeth removed. It will be another month before I can get anything done. I have 1 tooth in particular that is causing me to suffer severely. I requested the dentist pull the 1 tooth and was told no. She wants me to get 18 or 20 teeth removed at 1 time. She has shown me NO compassion at all. Leaving me in this kind of pain is not proper treatment. I am disabled and can barely keep groceries in my home. Much the less go pay an out of network or emergency dentist. May the God in heaven bless you Kristen DeBonis. I already have and will continue to pray that you never have to suffer in pain as you have left me. I have really tried to stay a patient but not sure about that now. Nor am I sure about referring customers. Thank you for allowing me to give a review.

Fantastic experience: My dental hygenist is LaWanda who does a fine job keeping up with my teeth and is considerate of me when I visit her. The team always keeps me informed about the cost and accommodates me when I need to schedule an appointment. My former dental provider closed his business upon his death, who I had seen for many years and trusted. It took more than a year but I have found my new trusted dental provider at Skymarks Family Dental Care.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Kristen DeBonis & Staff are exemplary of why I have been with this practice since relocating to Jacksonville in 2013!! I also drive a minimum of 45 minutes one way for my appointments no matter how many I have! Dr. Kristen takes her time with each patient & never leaves you with questions of any kind!! The caring, friendly, professional and targeted treatment, warm responsivity to patients and follow up is to be commended! I will continue to recommend Dr. D to anyone that’s in need of a phenomenal practice for sure!!

Fantastic experience: I love this office! The staff is friendly and professional. Today I had a different hygienist, Jessica, she was fabulous. Dr. DeBonis is always so welcoming and her charm is shared amongst all of her staff. It seems like they all love working there and that makes it so much easier when visiting the office.

Positive experience: Just called for a new patient appt for a cleaning and was told first available is Dec 5th, six months out. I proceeded to schedule for December and hope the wait is worth it for this dental provider. I will update my review based on additional experience. UPDATE: Have been here now for two cleanings and they are wonderful. The only issue still is that they have taken on so many patients that even when trying to book your next 6 month cleaning they are already booked. They had to book me farther out and put me on a wait list for a sooner appt which is kinda crazy.

Fantastic experience: I'd highly recommend if you go in for your service you request Myeka. She was friendly and extremely detail oriented to ensure my teeth looked as good as possible before leaving. While going over all of my options for what I wanted completed.

Positive experience: I love this dentist office. The hygienist I recently had I’m not too thrilled with. I initially was scheduled for a cleaning I was only able to get X-rays done and an exam. She explained to me I needed a more in depth cleaning so she scheduled me for a later date. I would have liked to get a service performed the of my appointment.
