Fantastic experience: Diamond Braces is my local orthodontics office and one of my favorites because of their service. The customer service and reception here are very efficient and polite. Their director Katie deSouza was also very helpful and respectful to me and my daughter when we visited for her braces appointment. They made me and my daughter’s experience very smooth and provided us with more than enough information about my daughter’s braces and the payment plans. Diamond Braces provides a great community overall and is the best orthodontics office in Brooklyn.

Negative experience: They promised to put an iron bar behind my daughter’s teeth to fix the gap, but later refused and told her to keep wearing a retainer instead. She has worn it for a year, but if she misses even one day, the gap opens again. We were charged again and are very disappointed. Not recommended.

People travel from other states to specifically be seen by Dr. Arkhipov, because he is very knowledgeable in his field, professional, speaks English and Russian, and takes good care of each patient. Fantastic experience: At the beginning, wearing braces was painful and uncomfortable, especially during the first few days because I felt a lot of pressure on my teeth and had trouble eating. I also had to get used to a stricter cleaning routine and be careful with the foods I ate. Over time, I adapted and started to notice changes in my smile. In the end, all the effort was worth it because I really liked the result—my teeth are more aligned and I feel more confident when I smile.

Negative experience: I had a very disappointing experience on the second time. I was given what I was told was a locked-in price during the consultation, and I scheduled the service based on that quote. But when we came on the appointment day, they raised the price significantly, saying that their prices had increased. it completely contradicted the “locked” price, very unprofessional and wasting time!

Negative experience: I had one of the most disappointing and distressing experiences at this location. My usual office had no doctors available, so after confirming by phone that this location could meet my needs, I came two hours to be seen. When I arrived, I was not greeted. Shortly after, a staff member approached me with visible discomfort and called me to the desk. I requested to speak privately to protect my confidentiality—something that has always been standard practice at other locations. Instead of professionalism, I was met with a dismissive and prejudiced attitude. Throughout the conversation, I remained calm and respectful, yet I felt as though I was being judged not by my words or actions, but by the color of my skin. This was extremely uncomfortable and made me feel unsafe in a setting where patients should feel respected and cared for. The manager joined the conversation and displayed the same dismissive energy, while the staff member looked fearful. When I asked for documentation of the agreement I had confirmed by phone, I was refused. When I requested the manager’s name and contact information, that too was denied. I have never experienced this at any other location, but this visit was traumatizing and unacceptable. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and ensures proper training so that no other patient is made to feel the way I did

Negative experience: Very unprofessional front desk. I didn’t realize there were two businesses at this address, and stood infront of the Diamond Braces receptionist instead of pediatrics. She completely ignored me and my child. She didn't even look at us. She carried on a conversation with others and never asked if I had an appointment or needed help, nor did she say I think you're at the wrong place or direct me to pediatrics. That lack of courtesy alone is enough for me not to patronize or recommend this place.

Liana provided us with information relevant to our needs, while Dr. Wong was friendly and made my teens feel that they were in good hands. I would definitely recommend this place. They are upfront about how insurance can affect you if the information on my end is not correct. Additionally, the fact that they offer support in multiple languages is great.

Negative experience: The front staff was really nice when I interacted with them. I first came in on the day I originally scheduled for but the office had some sort of a chemical odor, so they had to close early. It would make sense to give a quick call to your remaining patients or just leave them a message. It was late in the day so it couldn't have been too bad to let the rest of them know as a formality and keep it professional. I let that slide, so I rescheduled to another day. However, some reviewers have said that there may be some predisposed beliefs towards certain races. While that may or may not be true, it does kind of raise that question while I was being taken care of. Why did I have to wait almost two hours to be seen? Other patients have come and gone after I arrived and checked in. I was about to leave until they decided to call my name. It's a red flag if an office doesn't seem like they're taking care of their patients. It could be because they aren't paid to do the consultation, but the talking time with the doctor was maximum 5 minutes and another 5 with the head front desk, so it is a bit weird. I'd say to be safe, you should see a different ortho office, unless you're Russian, Georgian, Ukrainian, etc from that general area.
