Whenever I come to this facility and I always leave in a better mood than when I came in (that's not something that can be said for any other dental facility I've ever gone to). If there were to ever be a situation that made it to where I couldn't utilize The Armstrong and Tant Dental Facility, I believe my dental care would go downhill fast, because I, or anyone, would be hard pressed to find ANY Dental Care Facility in this State, much less this town, who would do as well in EVERY ASPECT of providing the best, friendliest, and caring dental care that Armstrong and Tant and their Clinicians provide. Fantastic experience: The front staff was so friendly and courteous. Had me checked in and notified doctor that I had arrived. The assistant led me back and explained everything from the X-rays to the cleaning. So impressed. The doctor was so gentle and professional. She explained what she found and my treatment plan. The wait time was so minimal. I was taken back within minutes of arrival. The facility is clean and well lit. I would recommend this dentist to everybody

Negative experience: I brought my 6 year old in for a check/cleaning today. He had to get x-rays done which was a new experience for him and he was super nervous and started crying. The lady who had brought us back told him that if he didn’t calm down she was going to send me into the waiting room and I wouldn’t be allowed with him (I was standing in the hallway trying to talk to him to calm him down). I didn’t have an opportunity to talk with the dentist about this because she came in, counted his teeth said all is good and walked out. Very disappointed with how today went due to these factors. Usually it’s great but today was horrible.

I had an appointment at Armstrong & Tant PLLC Dentist… This was for my 6 month Cleaning… At 1008 hrs I was called in by Hygienist Cherokee, who was like a ‘Bundle of Joy’ with her energy & humor… She directed me to one of the rooms down the hallway, and had me sit & lie down to adjust the chair height etc… Then with lightning-like speed she asked ‘Alexi’ to play one of her favorite songs, all the while getting all dental instruments ready for the teeth cleaning charged with… Thus the Teeth cleaning was in progress… All went ‘Seamless’… Dr. Tant stopped in to do the overall check, to which I passed… Well Done…!!!! Kudos to All Staff @ Armstrong & Tant.. Truly All Have A ‘Spirit To Serve’… Semper Fi… F.R. Hill (USMC/DAV) To: Armstrong & Tant PLLC. Date: 5/22/25 Time:12:20pm Today my appointment was at 12:20pm… Promptly, I was checked in and escorted to a room for X’Rays… within 8 mins I was escorted to another room where I was met by Dr. Tant & Brittany (All Purpose Minion). The ‘Dynamic Duo’ then took charge of removing a decaying 40 yr old crown on the last Molar in the bottom lower right side of my mouth/jaw line… Dr. Tant like a ‘Marine Combat Engineer’ & Brittany ‘EOD’ Technician’ begin systematically in-sync grind, drill, rinse, suck-up and dislodged the decayed old Crown to perfection; removing it all in one piece… Mind you all the while I was lying tilted back with my mouth wide open & chin tilted up totally relaxed without a care in the world… I wasn’t under any Anesthesia, due too 40 yrs ago the nerve was removed during a ‘Root’ canal… I must say the ‘Dynamic Duo’ were professional, extremely knowledgeable, precision-like with steadfast surgical hands, while removing said decayed Crown to completing a Temporary new replacement Crown smoothly without issues in a timely manner… Kudos To Dr. Tant and Staff in providing excellent Dental Care to this Old Marine Disabled American Veteran & Jacksonville, Onslow County, NC Communities… Well Done…!!! ✨ Semper Fi… F.R. Hill (USMC/DAV) To: Armstrong & Tant PLLC. Today, was my first with VA outsourced Dental Care... I'd like to extend Kudos to the entire staff especially those at check in, 1/15/25 @ 0800, who greeted me with a smile in her voice, and attention to detail in getting all paperwork, ID's processed with 'Lightning-Like' speed before directing me to have a seat in the lobby/waiting area... After a brief waiting period, a young lady called out my name (clearly) and escorted me to a room where a rotating imagery of Head, Chest, Jawline, Mouth & Teeth were taken... Wthin minutes of completion I was then escorted to an examination room where the young lady (Hygienist) did all the Pre-screening, X-rays, set-up etc; prior to Dr. Tant & Hygienist (same young lady) came in and completed a full examination & cleaning of teeth/Jawline... Dr. Tant along with Hygienist assistant then discussed in detail what took place & recommended follow-up for future dental care... Dr.Tant & Hygienist conducted themselves with a 'Spirit To Serve' with their 'Can Do' attitude rather than ones who would just 'Kick Up' dust with excuses in finding a solution/care for this Old Senior Marine Disabled Veteran... Dr. Tant & Her Staff's Professionalism, Dedication, Empathy & Dental Care Brings Great Credit Upon Themselves & Team... Dr. Tant & Staff's actions were in good keeping within the highest standards of Armstrong & Tant General Dentistry within the community of Jacksonville City limits of Onslow County, North Carolina... Today I had a tooth that had cracked with a sharp point that cut into my tongue when I talked. It was quite painful and had been getting progressively worse over the course of a few days. I called Armstrong and Tant and they got me in that very same day and took care of it for me in no time at all. Fantastic experience: Having been off my long time three times a year cleaning schedule for almost 3 years, I was dreading this deep cleaning, but it was a breeze. Of course it may have helped fhat I was so numbed up that I couldn't feel the right side of my nose, but it was utterly painless during and after the numbness wore off. Hygienist Tara thoroughly impressed me with her professional competence and courtesy., kept me informed and and frequently inquired estimate well-being and comfort throughout the procedure. My usual status in the dental chair is something akin to rigor mortis, stiff as a board with legs tightly crossed at the ankles, but this was such a breeze I found myself sufficiently relaxed that I involuntarily uncrossed my legs On several occasions during the procedure, and no longer dread going back for completion of the other half.. I think about as good an experience as one could possibly hope for.
