Fantastic experience: Amazing dental hygienists, dentists and reception staff. They explain things well and make sure I’m aware of all of my options. I always feel welcome and they make sure all of my questions are answered. Highly recommended!

Negative experience: Did not have a good experience here. My son had an emergency appt for a broken molar. They informed me he would need an endodontist referral, and then a crown. Crowns are not covered by my insurance for kids, so they told me it would be around $1200 but there’s a chance it wouldn’t stay and he would end up losing the whole tooth and possibly some gum tissue. Or he could have the tooth extracted by an oral surgeon. They also only looked at the one tooth meaning only took X-rays of that tooth and nothing else. They kept telling me it’s always best to the save the tooth, even the front desk staff was telling me to save the tooth and gave me financial information for care credit and another one that was a QR code with no other information on it. I got a second opinion from a pediatric dentist today. I was told absolutely to not do a crown. The tooth needs to be extracted. This dentist also got both my boys in, did full X-rays, cleanings and pulled their loose teeth all in one visit. So not only were they wanting $1200 and to do a not covered crown, but also send him to an endodontist which isn’t needed either. We were also treated like we were poor/didn’t have money/didn’t fit in with their office. I was considering setting both of my children up to have this office be their dentist but i would much rather drive 30 mins for a dentist appt to where my boys feel comfortable than trying to stick local. Save your money and go somewhere else. :)

Fantastic experience: I went for a cleaning at a different practice and found out I needed a filling replaced and capped. I also found out they went out of network. Highland family Dintistry is in network and was recommended by two of my daughter's so I called and they were able to get me in within a couple of days and started the work the first day, this was at the end of November and I am scheduled to get it finished in mid December at in network price.The staff is very professional , and Dr Miller did a great job . I would definitely recommend them.

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit . I was very pleased with the professionalism of the entire staff.The equipment (x-ray ) is very good. Most importantly my dental hygienist Brittany did a great job explaining what I needed and then accomplishing it painlessly. As an aside, this office is not the chaotic mess that I have witnessed at other medical offices.

Fantastic experience: I called Monday past and told them my upper denture was cracked and pinching me in the mouth. I got in right away and they examined me and took care of my situation. Next Monday I have an appointment to get my dentures back fixed and ready to smile! That is the best service I have ever recieved.

Dr Stephanie Long is my new dentist after 40 years with my first dentist. She has totally exceeded my expectations. Choosing Dr Long was the best decision ever, I have never been a fan of the dentist. Without any type of sedation she makes sitting in the dental chair, almost enjoyable. I was blown away with the technology they used and how informative the visit was. There was no scolding about not flossing enough, just the facts of what they saw and some great action plans to change my smile for the better.

Fantastic experience: I needed a bridge for a tooth that was extracted. Dr. Miller and his staff at Highland Family Dentisty all were professional and kind. He and his staff explained everything they were going to do and always made sure I was doing OK and as comfortable as possible during the procedure. They even gave a blanket because I was cold. Great place if you need to go to the dentist.

Negative experience: They will cancel your appointment regardless on if you are a patient that has never missed an appointment and regardless on how long you have been with them. I tried to confirm my appointment on Friday for Monday afternoon and was told it was canceled.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Miller and his assistant working with him on my care were AMAZING. Gave me great breath coaching, gave me time between each procedure, and constantly made sure I was ok. Anyone with high dental anxiety, you will leave without any anxiety. The team had me so relaxed I was actually humming and toe tapping to my music while they worked away. I was a wreck going in, and upon finishing, I was actually shedding tears of gratitude for their compassion, care, and patience. I will never go anywhere else and am suggesting them to anyone I hear needs a new dentist. I just can't say enough amazing things from someone who hasn't been to a dentist in 7 years due to fear.

Negative experience: This office is a joke. Drove 45 minutes for an appointment and was told once I was in the chair that they don’t take our insurance anymore. Wanted me to pay $1100 out of pocket to fix my tooth. So I ask how much just to pull it because I was in severe pain and they said they don’t pull them there I’d have to see someone else. I would never recommend this place

Fantastic experience: Just finished my second Appointment for phases of the dental work I needed. Dr. Miller is great, doesn’t do anything not needed. Both of my appointments he didn’t have to do what was expected, less was needed. Very happy with the office all around!!!

Negative experience: Used them for a set of dentures. They were never able to get the bottom ones adjusted properly. I couldn't keep them in longer than 1 hour before the irritation became unbearable. Their solution was to sell me implants for my bottom teeth. They had me pull all my bottom teeth and have 4 posts implanted. The new teeth that attached to the posts wouldn't stay in initially. They were adjusted by changing just 2 of the clips that attached to the posts. I was told if that didn't work they would change the other 2. When I got my final bill, it included a charge for the bottom denture that they never got right. When I complained about the charge, they would only give me partial credit for those. Under Illinois implied warranty law, I shouldn't have been charged anything since they never delivered a useful denture. So, I refused to pay for them. Since I didn't pay for the faulty denture, they refused to adjust my implant. The implant will not stay in when I eat and irritates my tongue if left in to long. I have spent over $25,000 to fix my teeth and they refuse to finish the job. Now I have to find a new dentist to fix what they refuse to do. Be careful using them. If they don't get it right, they may charge you anyway or refuse to fix what the got wrong, and won't follow the law.

Fantastic experience: This is the best office I’ve ever been to, and I’ve had a lot of work over my life unfortunately. They’re so gentle and use nothing but the best and newest tech to make the process quick and as painless as possible. They give breaks so you don’t have too much pain from holding your mouth open and talk you through every step. Also great radio and a calming office environment. It was the staff here that offered to let me where the lead best to act as a weighted blanket for anxiety. And the front desk staff is also amazing. Everyone is so kind and helpful. They aren’t about getting every penny from someone either. They give you every option and let you pick what is best for you and I’ve never felt and judgement for my options. I recommend them to everyone. Edit to add. I stumbled on this office because it was the only office willing to squeeze me in for an emergency broken molar 2 days before Thanksgiving. Dr. Miller went above and beyond to make sure I’d be comfortable over the holiday weekend.

Fantastic experience: I am a full-time retired RV'er from Florida traveling the country 9 months out of the year... And I'll have to say Dr Drew Miller is not only one of the best dentist I have encountered... But is very professional and courteous... And the office staff is wonderful... Anyone who lives in this area who would try to find anyone better I'd have to say good luck to them because it's probably not going to happen... Thanks Dr Drew for an excellent painless experience

Negative experience: *****BUYER BEWARE**** PLEASE get a 2nd opinion. Took both of my kids and was told daughter had 6 cavities and son had 4. Then took them to Plaza Dental in Highland and found out my daughter had 1 Cavity that was so small she didn't even need a shot and son has 2 cavities. No clue as to where 6 and 4 would when come from as it sounds like they are trying to create work for them to get paid. Shameless.

Fantastic experience: First and foremost, everyone I encountered was professional and courteous. Dr. Miller was personable and listened to my concerns. He fixed the problem I was having. The pricing is also reasonable. I'm happy with them and they are now my new dental group.

A Long Time Ago I Had 1 Tooth Pulled & They Physically Put Paper's In My Mouth Witch In Turn Made Me Sick. I Would Highly recommend Dr. Stephanie Long To All Of My Friend's & Family.
