Negative experience: Terrible customer service plus staff are very rude. You have to wait for almost 6 months to schedule an appointment, I didn’t know I was living in Canada.

Fantastic experience: The facility was clean, a lot of the reasons to bring your child to this facility were not in use due to covid, but all in all, it was a great experience for my 7 year old daughter. I would definitely recommend this practice for children. Another time: I had an emergency and Winning Smiles got me in 8am next morning, such thoughtful and kind staff, heads above the other practices I've been to throughout my life. Just had a dental emergency and they scheduled me within 4 hours, handled the issue with great care and rapidity...I honestly and sincerely recommend this practice to anyone I care about. The new sign in process is laborious and a pain.

Fantastic experience: Kid friendly for sure. They had two TV’s in the room and our hygienist explained everything to my son. We had a great experience.

Negative experience: If I could leave 0 stars, I would. I set my THREE kids up with Winning Smiles as new patients last year in November after their previous dentist closed out of nowhere. So, they had an appointment set for June. Great! NOT.....The DAY BEFORE the appointment they call me and say that the practitioner won't be in, so they'll have to reschedule until November. And remember, the appt had been set since LAST November. Aggravating, but ok, I figured there was some fluke and they legitimately just hadn't realized until that moment. Ok fine, one mistake isn't a deal-breaker. Then today, 11/25/25.....we had it all arranged, their appts were set for noon, picked each of them up from their respective schools, and we were on our way FROM LEWISTON to their location 40 MINUTES AWAY when they called me on the way there and said: 1. They "WON'T" treat my oldest because he's 17. "Well, we're a pediatric dentist, that's why." Well, someone needs to go back to school because that's ages 0-18, and in some cases, 21. 2. They "WON'T" treat my daughter because the copy of my daughter's insurance they had was expired. (No idea how they even got it as I hadn't even given them copies of any insurance at that point.) Me: "She has insurance through her father's union, and its very much active. I have the card on me and can hand it to you when we get there." Then she said "Well, you can bring it, but I'm telling you it's expired." I then told them to take my kids out of their system, and that because of their wildly unprofessional practices, I will NOT be receiving a bill. All the pathetic excuses and poor customer service is disgusting. As a business owner, I could NEVER imagine treating my clients this way. Just seems like they are lazy, irresponsible, disorganized, and careless. DON'T take your kids here. An entire year wasted just for mine to be not seen even once.

Negative experience: Made my daughters first appt. Rushed to get my other kiddos out of daycare, pick up my older daughter from school and rushing to the dentist office with 3 kids only for them to tell me they don’t see her appt. Of course I complained and then my appt was schedule for a few days away instead of weeks / months like they claimed I’d have to wait at first before I wouldn’t leave without another appt that was sooner than later. The appt went well and I thought everyone was pleasant. Wait time in the waiting area wasn’t too bad…… my daughter had a filling scheduled and that was just fine. But now again! My 2 daughters were scheduled for the same time as I guess they do with siblings. I called a week in advance to let them know my oldest had an appt close to the time of her dental appt and I may have to keep one and reschedule one. I asked in the voicemail if they’d call me with other possible me times so I could figure out which one to reschedule. Of course they just cancelled it instead of calling me back like I asked so we could figure out if I’d keep the appt or cancel it. Then called me back days later saying I’d now have to wait for 2 months to get a new appt because they already cancelled the appt. Then they didn’t even have my youngest scheduled at all so she has to wait 2 months now too. This is the second scheduling error I’ve had and they are 2 out of 3 thumbs down already. I’m currently looking for a new dentist because the red flags are already showing.

Negative experience: What a waste of time. First, 8+ months for an initial appointment, then it's at an office different from the closest location. Then, get a text to sign up for the patient portal, then they call to cancel your appointment due to insurance -indicated that we had other insurance, call back to rectify the situation and kept getting switched to the wrong office, after indicating which office it actually was. This place seems to be quite disorganized, in my opinion, and after wasting all the time and energy that I did, I have found my experience with winning smiles to be completely frustrating at this point and don't know that I'm even going to bother to proceed with them, or just find a totally different practice...

Fantastic experience: I got a consultation through them a couple of years ago for invisalign. I mentioned issues with crowding in the front teeth as well as an overbite. Got an appointment every 2 months and their staff is great! They informed me on the process, every step of the way. Each of the dental assistants are very friendly and Dr Acevedo is helpful and informative. I’d highly recommend them as an orthodontist

Negative experience: I took my kids out of school early, left work early, arrived at winning smiles for my children’s dental appointment and the receptionist proceeded to tell me that my children’s appointment was cancelled. She stated that the dental hygienist called off. I asked them why they didnt call me, and they stated that they did. I 100% did not receive a call. It was a major inconvenience. They then proceeded to tell me that they can’t get me in until 2026 for a 4pm appointment, I have been going there for years and ALWAYS had a 4pm appointment. Because they cancelled my appointment and did not call me, I not only used PTO, took my children out of school but now my girls cannot get a cleaning until next year. I will be leaving this practice.

Negative experience: My child has been a patient for several years, I never experienced an issue here like I did this evening. We arrived to our 4:30pm appointment 10 minutes early, we checked in. I was called up to the desk and told they called me this afternoon and because I didn't answer they couldn't confirm our appointment. I was sent a text a few days ago and I confirmed then we are coming to our appointment! I also called back 2x today after I saw a missed call and I left a vm again confirming we are coming The receptionist confirmed we are ok to be seen. We sat and waited another 20 min and a patient who walked in after us was called back, I went up to the desk to find out why we were skipped and I was told they couldn't see us The explanation was rude and inappropriate I was told because there last hygienist appt was for 4pm today So why would your place book a 4:30 and why didnt you notify me the minute I signed in I left my job an hour early today to bring my chikd to an appointment I booked 6 months ago Something didnt seem right, there was no apologies just excuses and pretty much made me feel like either book another time or oh well!! I hope Dr Mike reads these reviews because it will only hurt the practice as customers find other options And sometimes the Dr/ owners may not realize exactly how their customers are being treated until we speak up

Negative experience: we had an apt for 11/10 at 830am. We showed up only for them to tell me that my apt was cancelled because no confirmation was given, mind you the apt was set since July I showed them the message with the apt apt date and time and they still didn’t see us. I drove from Niagara Falls so it’s safe to say I wasn’t happy and she missed a day of school for no reason. The lady at the desk was very dismissive and scheduled it for another day during the week so now I have to miss out on work do to them not doing their job. I was never called or received any email regarding the apt being cancelled. Do better !!

Negative experience: From my desk, My Mom and Dad took me to Winning Smiles today to get my teeth cleaned. I agreed on the premise there would be toys and maybe a decent movie to watch while we waited to be seen. The toys were busted, the crayons were broken, all the sheets were already colored on and the movie finished and another didn’t come on. I’m 2 and I can only be so patient. I can’t tell time, but I can tell you that we were kept waiting waaaaaay too long. My Mom said I was supposed to be seen at 10:30 but it was after 11:30 before they called my name, and then once the first lady was done it was another 20 minutes before the big dentist came to see my teeth. When we got back out to the waiting room most of the people I was waiting with were still there and they looked sad that they had to wait so long too. My Dad has some things he’d like to say now. From Daddy’s desk, I can’t think of anything redeeming about our first (and last) visit to Winning Smiles, other than the hygienist being understanding with our son’s lack of patience after waiting well over an hour to be seen. This was also the third time my son’s initial visit was rescheduled going back to early July due to staffing shortages. We should’ve known better after 2nd time, but several friends have recommended Winning Smiles and we value their opinions. Come to find out, our friends have recently had sub-par experiences as well. I’m not sure who’s “running” these offices but at this rate they’ll be rapidly losing smiles and clients. We won’t be back, nor would I ever recommend anyone go here who’s looking for a pediatric dentist. Save yourself and your children time and grief and go literally anywhere else. Do better. A concerned Dad.

Negative experience: Our family were long term clients of Winning Smiles long before Dr. Mike Foley even bought these practices. The staff was wonderful at one point and the office manager whom is now gone. Now there is a high turnover of staff rate. I have seen an ABRUPT change in the customer service slowly and now it is full force. Now the balloons given are gone (my son even mentioned that to me), token coins and toys are now gone. Even the headphones with sound are GONE. Every time I ask I am told they are “working” on it. They have a new platform to confirm appointments however my son’s name would not even come up. My son had an extractions appointment on October 22, 2025 with Dr. David. And my son lost a crown yesterday. I tried telling them he had a loose tooth, but they didn’t seem to care to much. My kids love Dr David. I even had a hygienist tell me once that I should strictly see Dr. David. I had to reschedule because my son had an important field trip that I had just found out about 2 weeks ago. I was put on hold for a while and was told the soonest was March 4, 2026 at 9:00 AM. The caller told me she had only been working there for 2 weeks. She told me I could try East Amherst. I left a message on there voicemail and was called this morning stating that since we see a different doctor it would be a long time before my son could be seen. It seemed as though this woman did not care and was unapologetic. I told her I would take my business elsewhere and hung up. My son saw Dr Mike Foley many other times including at Children’s for extractions during the pandemic. But for some reason my son could NOT see him for a very long time at East Amherst. Even in July at this Buffalo location with my daughter in pain with a cavity they made us wait an ENTIRE month and she was not seen until the end of August 2025. Unfortunately we will have to discharge from this practice. It is no longer Winning Smiles. I will NEVER recommend this facility to another family! Even a pediatrician told me before that they did not like some of the procedures like all of the “tongue tied procedures” that they would do! It is to bad how Winning Smiles has gone down the tubes because we loved Dr David! But we can not wait 6 months out for my son to be seen!

Negative experience: My son missed half a day of school (and I missed half a day of work) to show up and be told we couldn’t be seen because we didn’t confirm the appointment and he hadn’t been seen in a year. I asked how we were supposed to confirm and she said they called or texted (neither of which we received and no message was left). This is the second time we had an appointment cancelled (after we got there and waited for several minutes) supposedly because we didn’t confirm. However we had just made this appointment a few weeks ago and my other child was seen recently without any confirmation so I think they just make that up when they were overbooked. Also she could not explain what it meant that he couldn’t be seen because he hadn’t been seen in over a year. The only reason he hadn’t been seen in a year was because they cancelled our previous appointment due to their own scheduling issues and didn’t have any sooner appointments. She just kept repeating the same thing and it made no sense. Will be finding another dentist. Don’t waste your time!

Negative experience: My son was puking and I had to cancel 8 hours before his appointment. I was charged a no show fee. This is crazy. If I didn’t show up fine, but he was sick and throwing up. Next time, I’ll make sure to get the office sick and just show up with him apparently.

Negative experience: For the fourth time I had to go back to the doctor's office to have my son's extra tooth removed, and when I thought it would be done on the scheduled day, there was no doctor in the office to do it.

Fantastic experience: The staff here is so sweet and kind. Perfect dentist office for kids!

Negative experience: We’d been going here for 10 years, but won’t be anymore after the appallingly unprofessional and disrespectful experience my wife and four kids had there today. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Also, don’t need to see the canned “we pride ourselves on service, please call us” nonsense response. My wife tried repeatedly to speak with the manager while she was there, and they ignored her. Can’t imagine poorer customer service. If you really care about losing 4 patients, a manager will call me directly to ask how you could possibly make it right. You have my number.

Negative experience: Updated 8/25/25: I was told the practice would not bill my insurance but would make me self pay and then submit a claim for reimbursement. Same insurance I’ve had for the ten years my four children have been going there. The manager didn’t even care when I asked to speak to her. Very sad that this practice has become completely robotic and does not care about the children and families it serves. Alas, we will move on to better things. Don’t bother giving me your automated canned response Winning Smiles… if you CARED you would have spoken to me in person in office today. Today was my worst experience yet, I haven’t frequently had any issues. Firstly, the front office tried to have me fill out 5 page paperwork for 4 different kids which is absurd and a waste of time. I told them nothing changed and they still wanted me to fill out things like dates of birth, addresses, and when I breastfed my 9 year old until (as if that’s changed since I first brought him at one year old!). I was so overwhelmed with paperwork I couldn’t be ‘present’ for my kids examinations. Then the dentist was not very cordial, he didn’t introduce himself, he didn’t explain things in terminology I could understand, and then he seemingly forgot to examine my other children and we waited 20 minutes on him to return! I’ve worked for a pediatric physician before annd bedside manner is extremely important. This dentist did not seem engaging to the kids, he seemed annoyed by them. I was booked almost 7 months out for cleanings that are supposed to be every six months and I feel this is because the office is overbooking which leads to poorer patient care. I sure didn’t feel like we were a priority. Hopefully next time is better or we will likely be finding a new dentist for our 4 children.

Positive experience: I am not one to leave reviews, but after multiple poor experiences, I felt one was due. Despite being one of the few decent pediatric dentists in the area, the staff lacks professionalism and communication with patients, and amongst themselves. I’ve witnessed them speak poorly to other staff members and to patients without hesitation. Holds patients to a strict 10 min late policy, but multiple times has made patients wait well beyond that for scheduled appointments with little to no communication. Most recent experience, arrived at 815 for 830 appt as they request. By 840, I noticed that people who arrived after me were going back, so inquired on if they were running behind and was told “no” by the front desk. At 845 I was then told by that same person that the room was just now being cleaned. It then took another 15 mins to be called back but was ensured the appt would take only 30 mins after they stated they spoke with the doctor. DR started actual work at 920, 50 minutes after our scheduled start time. While the doctor was working, I inquired again on timeframe of appt as a follow up from the earlier conversation, in which his response was “if you have somewhere to be feel free to leave.” I explained the previous discussions in which he stated he wasn’t aware of any issues and since he’s the only doctor, they were a little backed up. However, he did assure me he would look into the issues and make sure it’s handled properly. Another example of poor communication amongst staff. Now, I understand that things may come up, but communication and consideration goes a long way. It’s a shame when a business cannot hold themselves to the same standard and expectations that they have for their own paying customers. This industry is already plagued with having to wait months for appts, strict late and no show policies, and so much more. The least they can do is try to show their patients the same level of respect that they show to them. Appreciative for Dr. M who immediately stepped in to try to correct the issue, it just is unfortunate that it even had to get to that point.

Fantastic experience: The employees at Winning Smiles are absolutely wonderful! We always have a great experience here. Our kiddos are always treated carefully and respectfully, and they are never afraid to have an appointment at any Winning Smiles location. They truly are a piece of mind.

Positive experience: Hygienist was awesome with our son. I was disappointed to learn with the cleaning stated that there wasn’t a dentist in the office to check out his teeth and would have appreciated a call telling us that. I would have rescheduled the appointment as we had some concerns the last time we were there and would have liked to follow up on.

Fantastic experience: Winning Smiles on Linwood Ave has been great at working with my 3 year old and helping him feel comfortable with trips to the dentist. Establishing dental cleanings as a enjoyable, non-stressful, experience early on is so important, and they make that easy for our family!

Fantastic experience: Our First Visit to Winning Smiles – And We’re So Impressed! I just had to share our experience at Winning Smiles in Buffalo, NY – it was amazing from start to finish. This place is truly designed with kids in mind, and it made what can often be a stressful trip something fun and comfortable for both the kids and me! Right when you walk in, the office doesn’t feel like your typical dental clinic – it looks like a cozy house, and the inside feels just as warm and welcoming. There's even a mini movie theatre room where kids can relax and watch movies or TV before their appointment. Such a cool touch! The experience during the cleaning was just as awesome. Each dental station has a TV mounted on the ceiling so kids can watch their favorite shows while lying back in the chair. They also give them cool sunglasses to wear (not to keep, but definitely helps them feel relaxed and “cool” during their appointment). The staff let the kids choose from multiple toothpaste flavors and even more options for fluoride varnish, which made them feel like they were part of the process. There’s a play area for toddlers and an iPad game station—though the iPads were off their mounts during our visit (maybe being cleaned or replaced), the setup was clearly designed to keep kids entertained. One thing I really appreciated was their no cell phone or photos policy in the back, which is due to HIPAA regulations. It just shows how professional and respectful they are of everyone’s privacy. As a parent, that made me feel safe and valued. The office in Buffalo is pediatric-only, but they also have adult offices in Amherst and Orchard Park. Their adult locations offer everything from gentle cleanings and tooth-colored fillings to Invisalign, veneers, implants, and whitening. They even accept Fidelis Care and offer payment plans, which makes great dental care even more accessible. We got in quickly and easily as new patients, and I couldn’t be happier that I chose this dental office for my kids. The team is fast, friendly, and truly understands how to make kids (and parents!) feel at ease. If you're looking for a dentist that feels like home, looks like home, and treats you like family—Winning Smiles is it. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Dr. Mike Foley for any pediatric dentistry needs . My daughter had some dental concerns and needed an extensive treatment plan/procedure-Dr. Foley was amazing every step of the way. He took time to explain the cause, treatment and preventative plan going forward. He is always very friendly and inviting and my daughter has always felt comfortable each visit and he is great with easing nerves-for both the patient and the parent. No complaints at all and we definitely will be sticking with him.

Fantastic experience: Just wanted to share a big thank you to the team at Winning Smiles - Buffalo for the incredible care they gave my son, August. He needed to have his eye teeth extracted because his adult teeth weren’t pushing the baby teeth out like they should have. Understandably, he was nervous — but the staff did a fantastic job making him feel comfortable, calm, and safe from the moment we walked in. They explained everything clearly, kept the environment light and friendly, and most importantly, made the procedure painless for him. As a parent, there’s nothing more reassuring than seeing your child in capable, compassionate hands. Truly grateful for their professionalism and kindness throughout the whole experience. Highly recommend to any parents looking for a trustworthy pediatric dental team.

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience coming here to help my baby's lip and tounge ties. Dr Foley and his staff are very knowledgeable, take the time to explain things, and have a whole-body approach. I highly recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: Our day started off horrible when we ended up at the wrong office. A phone call and 30 minutes later we finally made it for a consultation at the right location. SO glad they would still see us. The wait was extremely short, I wasn’t even done filling out the paperwork, staff was very friendly, and the provider knew what he was talking about. All our concerns were heard and validated. My 3 month old daughter ended up having an upper lip tie and a tongue tie. Most likely the root of her weight issues. Both were taken care of in the office and the office had everything prior authorized beforehand. My 2 year old had her ties done at Children’s when she was 4 months old and this was a way better experience at Winning Smiles. They even offer free consults for braces and accept Care Credit. 10/10 recommend.

Negative experience: Sadly we had an awful experience with the Dental hygienist Miss Darshina, she was extremely unprofessional and rude with my 11 year old son. She was aggressive and very disrespectful with me as a parent and didn’t care another patient was there and even the dentist was there. Very very unpleasant experience, she never apologized for her behavior and the manager didn’t apologize either.

Negative experience: I personally I had a bad experience the 2 times I went. The first appointment was for a consultation but wen I arrived they only did a cleaning on his teeth so I had to wait over a month to get a consultation but the staff reassured me at the first appointment that he will get the surgery the same day as the consultation, that was a lie after the 2nd appointment the lady sho books the appointments didn't have nothing available til next year April lol I feel like their office is a insurance scam currently seeking a honest pediatric dentist office

Fantastic experience: Had such a great experience when my son got his lip and tongue tie done. Dr Mike is so nice, genuine and efficient. He came back to check on me knowing how nervous I was. He could have totally just walked to his next patient but he took the time to comfort me and assure me my son was ok

Negative experience: I've been bringing my son to Winning smiles since his very first dentist appointment and hes now a month short of 10 years old.Dr Mike has ALWAYS been more than exceptional. Yesterday we had an appointment for cosmetic work as my son had a spot on his front tooth that needed to be fixed. After going in the room the hygienist was not confident in what was being done. She couldn't answer any question I had and told me she didn't know much of the procedure . Dr Mike came in and explained to her how to do the procedure then left to take care of other patients while this hygienist who knew nothing about the service had to work on my child. It was a tube with a topical gel that basically had to be polished onto the tooth multiple times. She was told a photo needed to be taken prior to starting and she didn't take a photo til she already started and I said she needed to do one. She then pulled her phone out and said "I'll just email it over for them to put it in the system". After 10 minutes she called to Dr Mike saying she completed what was asked. He came back to the room and said she needed to continue. She then complained about her back and how it hurts from bending over in the chair to a patients mouth. We were at this appointment for almost 2 hours. It wasn't until the last 15 minutes of the appointment that Dr Mike finally came in to do what the hygienist was directed to do. The technique Dr Mike used vs the hygienist was completely different and more of a difference was seen with the way Dr Mike did it in 15 minutes vs the hygienist work in over an hour. The gums above my sons tooth are now completely black and blue and the hygienist looked and said "it was there before he came in" I said absolutely not, she then said well its probably the gel that will need to take time to go away. Dr Mike was not satisfied with the outcome and did offer a 2nd option to finish the work. Once he walked out of the room the hygenist looked at me and said "a filling on the front tooth is never good and will need to be redone often so i think its fine how it is no need for a 2nd appointment" i told her my son will make that decision as he is the one who has to be comfortable with how he looks, however after sitting for 2 hours my sons traumatized and does not want to return. After being on laughing gas for almost 2 hours my son expressed his head was pounding and he didn't feel good and the hygienist then said "well you need to get up and look in the mirror to see if your happy , because I have another patient I need to bring in" it took for me to tell her that I will not be rushing my child to get up and she can take her patient to another room. I was very dissatisfied with how this hygenist was working with my son. Her attitude was fine and she was nice, but she was more concerned about what she ate for lunch and talking to other Co workers about how their lunch smelled good than paying attention and doing what she needed to do. She clearly was not comfortable or know how to do the procedure and she should have expressed that instead of wasting a product that she insisted on telling me was very exspensive and couldn't be wasted. I knew the cost of the appointment before hand and she kept telling me how important it was to not waste this topical. If Dr Mike would have done the procedure I believe the outcome would have been 100% completed properly in less time. Now I have to try to convince my son that the dentist is not a horrible place and probably find a new dentist because he is not happy.

Fantastic experience: It was our 1st visit the staff was amazing very kind. They were amazing with my son. He was very comfortable. Actually he keeps asking me when we can go back. Lol. I was very pleased w the office and the staff. Also they got us in very quickly for our 1st appointment.

Fantastic experience: We've had a really good experience with the Buffalo Winning Smiles. Generally you are in and out of appointments very quickly. The staff are super kind and engaging with the kids - they are never phased by kid behavior like squirming around and asking a million questions etc. I definitely feel like this dentist office makes my job as a parent wrangling several children to an appointment easier. Would recommend!

Fantastic experience: Dr.David is simply the BEST... My son had two extractions done by him n he did it flawlessly, my son was so worked up n by the end he said, "oh they're gone already" he was amazing along with his assistant Tanya who kept him calm n relaxed while prepping everything... They are the perfect duo, can't say enough good about them both... I only want them from now on... THANK YOU n the front desk staff can't forget them, ALL are amazing n so welcoming, ESPECIALLY the lady in the first desk at the front, you are just an amazing human...

Negative experience: The driveway was too icy. We had to walk all the way to the front with no sidewalk and cars going by. Why can't the back or side entrance be used? Negative experience: Winning smiles has been great for cleanings but this week we weren’t thrilled with the bed side manner we encountered for something bigger. Our son has a few cavities and needs an extraction related to something else. The Dr did a poor job of dealing with it in front of him. Our son was obviously anxious to begin with and the Dr talked in front of him about how hard it would be and how sedation was off the table due to timeline. He also talked as if our son wasn’t even in the room — he’s 6, he can hear everything! Needless to say we are getting another opinion and letting a dentist who has a better manner with kids deal with any dental work.

However you were sitting in the first seat as soon as you walk through the door I just want to thank you for your patience and helping me with my insurance issue for my son after being brushed off so many times about the mixup with his insurance you actually took the time to help me get to the bottom of the issue. Negative experience: Normally I have a good experience but today I was really mad as hell. I signed in my son at 7:57 right after this Puerto Rican lady and her two kids. Me and my son waited a whole hour for them to call us. The waiting area was full with parents and kids and everyone got called except for us, even people who literally only sat down for two minutes got called to the back. It took my son to say out loud when are we next mommy, it’s taking forever. As soon as he said that the next minute the receptionist asked did we signed in I said yes, I yelled out my son name and I heard the other receptionist say his appointment was at 8. Then we waited another couple of minutes and finally his name was called. Then we finally got to the back I did have attitude because I was pissed, so I did say sorry to the girl who was cleaning his teeth because I didn’t mean to take my attitude out on her because I know it wasn’t her fault, then she tells me that she saw that his appointment was at 8 and she asked someone was we out there in the waiting room and someone told her NO and that’s why we got skipped! I told her no one called his name at all I was sitting right in the front the whole time smh. This the first time I ever left Winning Smiles with no smiles just a whole attitude

Fantastic experience: We worked with Dr. Foley and his assistant, Matt, for my almost 1 yr old’s frenecotmy. My little guy had 4 oral ties. First, Matt met with us and explained what the visit would entail and answered questions, talked with us and made us feel at ease from the start. Then Dr. Foley assessed the baby’s mouth and explained what he would do during the procedure. They both were so thorough and friendly. The procedure was successful and our baby is on the mend with minimal pain or bleeding. Matt and Dr. Foley made us feel comfortable and we knew our baby was in great hands.

Fantastic experience: Had a delightful experience bringing my 9 month old here. The dentist was so friendly and patient. The office and exam rooms were clean. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly. The exam rooms were honestly so cool and beautiful. At the end, they let her pick out a rubber duck and they were so kind. My three year old has an appointment in two weeks and I’m confident it will go smoothly and be as pleasant of an experience being at the dentist could possibly be.

Unfortunately a filling fell out of my daughter’s tooth I called to make an appointment as she’s in excruciating pain…… apparently the office is closed tomorrow (and every Friday). They can not get her in until Monday at 4:30…. Absolutely unacceptable I was then told to take her to ECMC dental department. I love Dr. Dave but I believe he’s being spread thin and unfortunately children are suffering. Definitely will be pulling all of my children from this practice.

Fantastic experience: WE LOVE WINNING SMILES. 10/10 the top pediatric dentist in Buffalo. I have two (very different) kids ages 9 & 5. One is a wild child who told the dentist he looked like a gargantuan rabbit that smelled like sausage and the other is a much more cautious, highly sensitive, inquisitive kiddo who generally loathes going to medical anything. The needs of BOTH kids were met SO beautifully here. Everyone from the receptionists to the hygienists to the assistants to the dentist could not have been kinder, more patient, and more open to meeting each kid where they were at. They laughed along with my wild one, and explained calmly and in detail every question my cautious one had. Nothing felt rushed, everything went well—from the standard cleaning to a cavity being filled. Kids left excited to brush. No one felt shamed. Waiting room is great. Parking on Linwood is easy. Only complaint I have is that we are moving out of town and they refused to move the practice out of state for us. Take your kids to Winning Smiles!

Fantastic experience: I called first thing this morning because my son hit his mouth and the playground and they got me right away! We were prepared to wait because they squeezed us in but they took us right back and examined him right away! They were patient and talked to my 3yr old when he had his own questions! Sooooo very happy with our experience today. The tech also told him the xray gun was a space blaster and he thought that was the greatest thing ever!

Positive experience: Beautiful and well maintained waiting room with a theater room for kids (no movies playing today) and a complimentary Keurig machine available for parents (but no K-cups, so bring your own). The staff is friendly and patient with the kids, and good patients are rewarded with tokens they can cash in at a fun vending machine after their visit. Removing a star because we checked in at 11:12 for an 11:30 appointment, but as of 12:27 we still have not been called back, so you will need to account for extra waiting time if you are taking your kids out of school or need to get back to work.

Negative experience: For the second time in a row I signed in on the clipboard and was completely ignored for 20 minutes. People who came in after me were checked in (without signing in on the clipboard) and subsequently taken before us. This happened with about 5-6 patients before they finally looked at the clipboard and called me up to check-in. I signed in at 3:49pm and checked in by the receptionist at around 4:13 for a 4pm appt. and was not taken until after 4:20pm. I understand the hygienist may get backed up and we have to wait but that is not at all my gripe. My discontent is 100% with the office staff and their lack of following their own protocols and being unorganized. I am truly thinking of switching dentists offices because of this. First time this happened I let it go, but now I see this is normal for them but completely unacceptable.

Dentist told my son he could fix 2 small chips in his front teeth in '10 seconds" by just filingbthem down, then proceeded to say he didn't have time and it will cost $430!!...for 10 seconds of work? Really?..."it's not covered by insurance". Then tried to tell me 2 cavities would be $100. What?! I've never had to pay for my kids fillings ever. I'm so irritated. Been coming here awhile. Not coming back.

Fantastic experience: I brought my 5yo son here for the first time (although not his first dental appt) and he had a great time. Odd to say he had fun at the dentist but he did! Even while they numbed and gassed him up to do what they needed to do. There was a TV above his head to watch cartoons & a prize at the end! The doctor (Dr Mike) was amazing. Friendly & thorough. Negative experience: If you have any sort of dental emergency, don't bother with this business. Six weeks to get an emergency dental appointment at a pediatric dental practice is ridiculous. They also recently cancelled my child's appointment for a routine visit, because there would be no dentist at the office that day, and then could not give us another appointment for two months, despite the fact that the scheduling error was theirs. I gave 2 stars because we have been happy with the service we receive, but the issues that we have had regarding appointments is unacceptable.

Positive experience: This is the first time that we’ve had a bad experience with Winning Smiles. The hygienist was super unfriendly. Did not make any conversation with my daughter. She wanted to talk to her neighboring hygienist about her weekend instead, I find that inappropriate. And unprofessional. Stella is Special needs and kept waving. Hello and trying to talk to the hygienist and she did not respond. We are long time clients/patients of Winning Smiles. We would prefer not to see hygienist again.

I called and left a message for the office manager. It was out of control. I have three children and they were in awe of it. BUT i DID NOT receive ANY phone call/email to ask confirmation. So there nothing they can do beside to reschedule, and no apology cause she said “ they don’t know why but the appointment is been hold back.”

Fantastic experience: We took our three children to the dentist yesterday for their 11, 11:30 & 12 o'clock appointments, and wow! Did they all do exceptionally well! Dr. Mike is such a great fit for us! The last time we spoke we came up with a treatment plan for our youngest, who is just shy of 19 months, and it was something I worried about because naturally the idea of anesthesia frightens anyone. The plan was to bring Arrow in for surgery to cap a few teeth, and originally, I was going to pay out of pocket the $1,400 to have it done in the office instead of the hospital, that way Arrow would be given less of the stuff it takes to sleep and he'd wake up faster and unlike the hospital we would be able to sit with him while the anesthesia was ministered. But yesterday, because of the condition of Arrow's teeth, Dr. Mike said, "I got one better, I can take these today." I was surprised! You mean, no more pain for him, and waiting in worry for me? Let's do it! So, with a needle to numb his gums and me there to hold his hands, four of Arrow's teeth were removed without having to fuss with the idea of surgery. Dr. Mike helped walk me through each step, and said, "I tell parents all the time, I can do it here, but they want the hospital." Not me, not us. If we can avoid going to that big, bright, money milking, facility we will. And it didn't cost me anything! Vaddy did very well, too! Laying back and allowing the hygienist to brush and floss his teeth. Aleena has always been good for the dentist, but I still feel proud of her, proud of them all. I may not be a fan of the medical industry, but if there's one thing I take seriously, it's dentistry. I learned a while ago how there are microscopic tubes of energy in each root that leads to specific organs, and if not treated properly, could be the cause of diseases like heart disease and even, breast cancer! Don't believe me, watch "Root Cause" on Bitchute. Our mouths are a dumpster for toxicity, and keeping them clean is so important to our health, so of course we make sure to keep up with our appointments to see Dr. Mike! I'm feeling so relieved. Arrow is doing better! And have I mentioned, the staff? How wonderful they all are! I mean anyone who asks for my consent to treat or decline x-rays and fluoride is doing their job the way it's suppose to be done. They never incline, nor force a suggestion, explaining each scenario and giving me the right to decide the care I want for my children. That's a huge deal for us! The office is adorable for the kids, too - catering to their imagination. I mean, coming from a place like UPD where there wasn't a splash of color on the wall, nor anything to help interact with children, clogged lines and unanswered messages. I can say that, we're much happier here! The kids can run to the theater room to catch a movie, stop by the counter for a page of coloring, or they can play train while waiting. And plus, the phone lines are always open during their business hours. I'm very pleased with Winning Smiles, Dr. Mike, the staff and the entire practice! Who doesn't appreciate their greeting, "Welcome to Winning Smiles! How may we help you smile?"

Negative experience: Every 6 months for my sons cleaning, we wait an absurd amount of time in the waiting room and then proceed to wait an absurd amount of time waiting for the dentist to check my sons teeth after the hygienist is done. For a pediatricians office you think they’d be more efficient. This practice is completely overbooked and the care is subpar. We will be leaving this practice.

Negative experience: The facility is so slow and takes so much time. Once I was late 5 mins for my appointment they rescheduled it, and last time I went they had me waiting for 40 mins to take my daughter inside. And again another 30 min wait for the head dentist guy to come take a look at her teeth after the nurse cleaned it. That too he comes only after the next two beds are ready with other patients. To check them all together!!‍♀️

Negative experience: You should never bring a patient back into a room and administer laughing gas without verifying insurance. You had the information at 12:15pm. If you were unable to verify before my 4pm appointment, you should have called to reschedule. I got my kids of out school early. I took time off of work. You give her the laughing gas and then proceed to tell me you haven't verified the insurance and then tell me I will have to pay $450 out of my own pocket?! Get out of here with that. AND THEN I have to wait even longer for you to give my child oxygen to bring her back down. I cannot believe you let this happen. This was THE WORST experience we've ever had. We've been bringing our kids there for at least 5-6 years. But never again. I will never bring my children to your practice again. I will never recommend anyone bring their children there. You need to do better. I hope this never happens to anyone else.

Fantastic experience: The Buffalo location is stellar! We left the Southtowns location, and love to hear. The customer service is so personable and the staff always make the schedule fit our needs. The manager follows up and is as good as her word, and the dental staff are all superb. My kids and I love going there!

Negative experience: I’ve been bringing my kids to your practice since they had teeth and have always had an amazing experience. My daughter’s experience with the tech yesterday was absolutely horrible. She didn’t engage in conversation with my daughter once, acted like we were unconvincing her by being there. She never guided us to our room and we were left in the hallway to try and find our tech. At one point during the cleaning, she said “it’s time for X-rays.” Got up quick and left the room and never guided my daughter there. My daughter stood in the room almost in tears because she didn’t know where the X-ray room was and where the tech was and was too afraid to go find her. The tech was also super aggressive while cleaning her teeth, like she was taking her aggression out on an 11 year old girl, which is absolutely unacceptable. My daughter complained all evening that her mouth was in a lot of pain and says she NEVER wants to go back to the dentist office ever again. The second we got up from our chair, the tech greeted another patient and was bubbly and friendly. She was a completely different person. It’s like she was upset with only us, which made this situation even worse. This was hands down the worst interaction I’ve ever had in medical facility.
