Fantastic experience: I got two teeth extracted yesterday at First Care Dental, it was my first time visiting their clinic. It’s very clean, staffs are very friendly. Dr Daniel was very professional. It took shorter time than I expected, bleeding not bad, moderate pain. I supposed to get extraction done 10 years ago, but I was too scared to visit dentist. I finally got it done because I couldn’t tolerate the pain. Thanks to Dr Daniel and his staffs.

Fantastic experience: My experience with this office left me feeling happy and relaxed due to the dentist being patient, welcoming, and gentle. He talk through the entire process and he made me feel comfortable the entire time.

Fantastic experience: I was in for a cleaning and the hygienist Jasmine was excellent in all respects. Taken back on the appointed time, she was friendly, sociable, and very professional. Explained each step and made sure I was not experiencing any pain. I have been going to First Care for more than 13 years and have never had anything other than excellent care including several crowns and fillings. The front desk staff are also welcoming and very helpful.

Negative experience: I was a patient for first care for 2.5 years and unfortunately I just thought the care was subpar. I would make regular appointments every 6 months and every time I was met with passive aggressiveness and little attention from the actual doctor. The 3rd appointment I had, the hygienist asked me if I remembered his name, I said oh no forgive me. He said “well I had you last time I thought you would hope to remember”. Really? I met you once for 10 minutes 6 months ago. Second, the doctor that comes in rarely spends time. Just checks and goes, and every time I left, I would always tell my wife “dang they were way too hard on my teeth”. LASTLY, I decided to switch providers and they come in and tell me I have 5 CAVITIES. I said wow. My last provider ain’t doing the work I need. 1 star. DO NOT send yourself here.

Awesome please again it was an awesome visit uninterrupted no curveballs even with a new hygienist. I was done in 40 minutes and had a great job. From initial call to the first appointment for my wife and myself yesterday, it was a great experience. My wife is neurologically disabled and the whole staff was very kind and accommodating to her. Fantastic experience: My first experience with First care dental was great. I called with a dental emergency, they were able to fit me in that day. Office staff was very friendly and helpful. The dental tech taking my X-rays was kind and gentle. The doctor took the time to talk with me and did a thorough evaluation. He clearly explained everything with me, did not belittle me or scold me for not taking better care of my teeth. He gave me a prodigy list in my treatment plan. Gave me options along with what he thought would be best.

Fantastic experience: I enjoy this office. Dr. Rigsby is very pleasant as well as his staff. He's always concerned and caring when assessing. I love the windows in the patient rooms. Its like watchibg nature on tv but not. Quite calming actually. I always get a good playlist which help redirect my focus. Overall, im glad I found this office. The service is 100% better than my previous dentist.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful folks. Great dental care. Update: I managed to break a molar the other evening and they fit me in the next morning. After an assessment, they filled it in and I was out the door 20 minutes later. Be forewarned, if you are put on hold you may be rickrolled! They were short staffed the morning I called in my emergency, so I was subjected to 10+ minutes of "Never Gonna Give You Up" by Rick Astley on endless loop. A small price to pay for immediate care, but my goodness, it was pretty weird.

Fantastic experience: Dr ‘K’ and Katie were wonderful! After seeing another dentist at another practice without any success, Dr K bonded my chipped front tooth and it looks great!!! (Yes, the other dentist let me leave that office the same as I entered!!!) Anyway, since I’m new to the area and have been searching for new everything, my dentist search is completed. Thank you Dr K, Katie and staff for your kindness, competence and, well, great dentistry!

Negative experience: I love my dental hygienist but I’m very upset that the billing folks do not seem to know what they are doing. I was recently charged a mysterious “copay” for my dental cleaning. Confirmed with my insurance that I was not supposed to pay one. Very difficult to find someone to clear it up. I’m now considering leaving my dentist of 12 years over this dishonest and incorrect billing!

Fantastic experience: I needed a new dentist after my favorite dentist retired. I tried one or two with no success until I met Dr. Sharpstein. My first visit and exam with Dr. Sharpstein at First Care Dental was wonderful. He carefully explained his assessment and his staff was equally compassionate. Well done.

Fantastic experience: I was seen quickly for a tooth extraction. All staff were very friendly. I'm horrible with names, but the dentist's assistant was amazing and answered every question I had. My dentist was Nicholas Kizirian, DMD. Everything went perfectly, and he spent the time to show me the tooth and explain why I had the abscess.

Fantastic experience: The service was excellent. The practice is efficient and caring. The appointment reminders and the post appointment surveys drove me nuts though. The incessant texts have got to stop.

Negative experience: Somehow the dentist missed a dental abscess forming on a failed root canal--which I already suspected due to symptoms mirroring a prior abscess and had been complaining of recurrent symptoms for over a year. I'm seeing a new practitioner now who imaged it appropriately and interpreted results, referring me to an endodontist.....in 10 minutes. And they didn't even shake me down for money like First Care. I will be reporting to the ADA and state board for a peer review and reimbursement. Not only are they unprofessional here--they can't be trusted to do anything beyond a simple cleaning properly.

Fantastic experience: Had to leave my Dentist after 17 years due to my insurance no longer being accepted. I met the owner/dentist of First Care today. Very nice and professional! The whole place was friendly and very clean and inviting.

Fantastic experience: It is always a great experience at First Care Dental. From check in to check out. I think Care is a great explanation of what you find there. Have been a patient there for many years and have found the atmosphere and attitude of staff and doctors is every patient is special and part of their family.

Positive experience: Had my 1st appointment had to go back for deep clean of the gums, did my appointment only scheduled to do half and now can't get in for who knows when. On a will call list, I was told it was 2 hour appointment that only did half could of done the entire mouth. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Just trying to get appointment is nuts, 10/10/24 update never received a call, to see dentist here called a couple times and was rudly told cant schedule appointment we will call, so after that found new dentist and they got me in teeth fixed within 2 weeks, had to call 2 times to get xrays receptionist called 3 times to get xrays emailed over to find the new dentist need more.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Sharpstein is just amazing! He makes me, my son and daughter feel at such ease. He’s got a gentle hand, which helps a lot when you’ve got dental anxiety the way my children do. His staff is always a pleasure to work with. And Winnie, we can’t forget her; she’s the best thing about that office! I’d give more than 5 ⭐️ if I was able.

Fantastic experience: Dr Sharpstein and all the staff were great. I didn't feel like they were telling me anything or doing anything to me or for me that was not true and needed. I was grateful that they were honest about if I had any cavities and they were quick to get me an appointment even though I was a new patient and just want to get established.

Fantastic experience: I was very nervous to go to the dentist, as I hadn't been in a long time. Dr. Rigsby and his dental assistant, Tequila, were beyond kind and helpful! Tequila could tell I was nervous and gave me reassurances, even held my hand while Dr. Rigsby did the numbing on me. They had a bird feeder outside of the window which was so peaceful, and said Dr. Rigsby fills it up every morning. All around great people to see for dental care. You can tell they really care about their practice as well as their patients.

Negative experience: I was recommended this Dentist by a friend. I had to get a tooth pulled and some cavities taken care of. When I got to the back and had my exam done, I found myself asking questions about my X-Ray and my teeth to which the questions weren’t answered too well. I didn’t feel too much pain for my tooth extraction but I wish They were a bit more thorough with explaining how to take care of the area where the tooth had been extracted. I had to go to Google to do my own research on how to care for it. I was also quoted a price BUT when I got to the finances desk, I was charged an extra $100.. and I couldn’t talk because I had to bite down on gauze so I just paid for it.. The Doctor was cool but honestly, you can tell when somebody is really invested in the service they provide. I personally wouldn’t recommended anybody to this Dentist based off the fact I had to use Google to answer all my questions. I wasn’t given clear instructions on how to care for my tooth extraction and you would expect them to do a follow up to make sure it has healed properly but the front desk only mentioned me coming in for my next cleaning and not the follow up, which means the front and back staff probably doesn’t communicate too well with each other. Overall, the experience wasn’t the best. Still looking for a reliable and trust worthy Dentist in Tallahassee.

Fantastic experience: Over the weekend, I was having some gum pain near a wisdom tooth that was growing in. When I woke up this Monday morning, it was 10x worse. I called about 10 different offices in town who all told me they had no space for me to come in under such short notice. However, as soon as I called First Care Dental, they immediately got me booked for noon today and were very accommodating and reassuring. I was in and out within an hour, and everyone I interacted with was super sweet. Dr. Rigsby was so nice and reassuring. My hygienist, Tequila, was very helpful and caring to my situation. I am not from here, so they were super helpful with the whole process as I was a new patient. All in all, I am so happy to have found this dentist office. They were so prompt in getting me taken care of, which I am so very grateful! Thank you, First Care Dental! :)
