Fantastic experience: Both of my boys have unfortunately had to have a few fillings, and one had to have an extraction. I was so nervous but Dr. Nash and the whole crew at Holly Tree made sure they were comfortable and cared for each of them in a way that they needed. Always a great experience here.

Fantastic experience: This dental office is 1.5 hours away from my house and I would drive even farther to take my son here. They are the only office we’ve found that ticks all the boxes. Columbia offices are reluctant to do any work on kids without IV sedation or general anesthesia. That doesn’t work for our family. This office is fast, conservative with treatment and totally lovely to interact with. My son skips into his dental appts. They also do targeted numbing, where only the tooth is numbed, not the whole side of your mouth. We LOVE this dental practice 100%.

Every experience feels like a little upcoming experience always decorated so nicely so welcoming. My daughter is always comfortable with everybody she encounters.

Positive experience: I want to say first that I’m so thankful to have found Holly Tree after being turned down by several other pediatric dentists for having Medicaid. Our first experience with them was very good. The building is beautifully decorated with a cheerful and fun ocean theme. The staff are so wonderful and kind. The ladies up front are great. I was given a tour of the office and shown several beautiful private treatment rooms with pretty wallpaper where they supposedly do the procedures and I remember thinking, wow that looks really relaxing! So of course when we had to go back for a couple fillings and my son was nervous because he had never had any dental procedures before, he was asking a lot of questions and I was reminding him of the pretty rooms we saw and telling him that’s where we’d be. Boy was I wrong! Instead of the nice treatment rooms we were lead into a small, cold, sterile looking room that was completely white with nothing on the walls except a tiny paper sized poster of a cartoon bear brushing his teeth. The tools and instruments were already laid out in the open for my son to see. I can’t imagine what my nervous child felt like walking in there, but I personally felt terrified. I’ve been to several different dentists offices throughout my life and had more than my fair share of dental procedures but I’ve never been put into a room quite that uncomfortable. I wasn’t allowed to stay with him, which I guess I can understand, and was told to wait in an empty narrow hallway with no chair to sit in and watch through a window. At one point when they started extracting a tooth I felt like I was going to pass out and had to sit on the floor. No one passing by asked if I was ok. (I was not ok) I did manage to pull myself together just as he was finishing up, though I’m sure I was still quite pale. (This could be why parents aren’t allowed to stay in the room.) My son was very brave and handled everything really well. Despite the scary room issues, I still think Holly Tree is a great place with good people. I love the fact that they use the newer pain-free electronic method of numbing! I do have a few minor suggestions though. Please make the white rooms less terrifying with a nice soothing paint color on the walls, and please consider draping a sterile bib over the instrument tray when kids first walk in. It’s a very simple way to make it less scary for them. And please also consider placing a chair in the waiting hall for us squeamish moms who might not be handling it so well, or maybe just check on us if you notice we’re on the floor. And please don’t take this in the wrong way, I’m not mad and I will keep coming back. (But seriously, what are the pretty rooms for and why is there such a night and day difference between the two types?)

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing! I called to make an emergency appointment and they were able to accommodate us right away even though we were first timers. This meant so much to us! The entire staff are so friendly and Dr. Nash was absolutely wonderful. He made the whole process easy and my daughter complied on her own. She truly liked him and we’re thankful for that. Fantastic experience: To be sitting in the office and want to leave a review shows the caliber of service received at this dentistry. Let’s start from walking in the door. Immediately greeted. I’ve been coming here almost three years and they have never not greeted us. Have never waited more than 5 mins to check in. Thorough with checking in and making sure everything is the same or giving us mommy brains an opportunity to remember something has changed. Oh you didn’t have a chance to do forms sent prior to coming in? No worries! “Here is our tablet and should make filling it out easier than on the phone”. No condescending tone or eye rolls or feeling like you just set their entire day back. They take your littles back but you’re welcome to accompany them if you like. They spend a few seconds and ask if you have anything you wanna address and off they go! They come back with their little trinket toy and you’re done . Smooth and easy experience start to finish. The ladies are welcoming from hello to goodbye. The space is so inviting!

Fantastic experience: I have 4 kids, 6-16. They have had all mannor of work done, from a regular cleaning, x-rays, to extractions. Holly Tree has gone above and beyond to make my children feel safe and comfortable. Everyone is nice, polite, professional. The facility is beautifully decorated and fun for the kids. The dr's are open and honest with you, discussing every question or concerns. Treatments are always shorter than expected. I cannot rave enough, am beyond greatful for my children had a bad dentist experience and we're afraid to go back to said dentist. You are always within sight and sound of your children. There is no uncertainty with how they are treated and acting. Wonderful office!

Staff is friendly and works well with young kids (we have a 3 year old) and older also. They were also super helpful to get us in last minute when we had a dental emergency last year and they’ve been quick to address problems and provide solutions. The entire team is always warm, welcoming, and professional. They go above and beyond to make every visit personal and comfortable — especially for my daughter. They treat her like they’ve known her forever, always remembering the little details and making her feel completely at ease. They even asked her about a vacation 6 months prior to our last visit she talked about us going on. I was so surprised because they obviously have alot of patients. Every time we go there it’s busy but I never feel rushed. It’s rare to find a place that combines skill, care, and genuine kindness so consistently. Negative experience: My son was in tears after a tooth extraction by Dr Maria Jeffcoat. He repeatedly said ouch and was ignored. My husband was not updated on repeated complaints about pain. If fact, they did not allow him on the procedure room to listen to or advocate for our child. I never want another child to go through my son’s experience. I feel terrible for taking him to Dr Jeffcoat.

Fantastic experience: I took my son to Holly Tree today for an exam so they could evaluate two teeth our general dentist had recommended treatment on. Dr. Ann was able to squeeze us in and get the treatment done the same day! We were in and out in about an hour. Dr. Ann and her staff are always so professional and friendly. One thing I really appreciated is their new numbing system—it’s top-notch! My son wasn’t numb for hours afterward, and I didn’t have to worry about him accidentally biting his tongue or lip. When we left, my 8-year-old said, “I love this office! You should give them 5 stars!” I didn’t even know he knew what that meant—he was just as impressed as I was! You can absolutely trust Holly Tree with your children’s dental care. They provide excellent treatment and a great experience every time!
