Negative experience: I had a tooth pulled by the female dentist. Worst experience of my life. I just had a tooth pulled by Dr Patel at Oral Facial.... absolutely no pain and pulled quickly

Negative experience: I've been a patient for several years. I don't have dental insurance and they have made it affordable to have my teeth cleaned in the past. I was supposed to go for a checkup and was told that I couldn't get my teeth cleaned without X-rays. I explained that I would sign a waiver. That was unacceptable and in order to have my teeth cleaned, it was going to cost over $400. Things have changed in this office with the departure of their long time employees, Teresa and Amanda. Either that or their philosophy of helping people has changed to it being about the money. Time to find a different dentist.

Negative experience: 2025: I've been seeing Dr. White for many years, and left my initial review in 2018. At that time, his services and team were certainly five-star, but over the years, I am disappointed to say that things have really gone downhill. As a patient with dental anxiety, building a relationship with my dentist and dental team who show compassion and a willingness to educate is the most important thing to me. I have left this office more than once in the last year crying because of the office's lack of care and education. If you have dental anxiety and want to feel like you're being educated, listened to, and supported, I highly recommend a different place. I feel so failed by this office. 2018: I have been absolutely TERRIFIED of the dentist for years. I would constantly schedule and cancel appointments with other dentists, to the point of a cavity almost becoming a root canal because it was 2+ years ignored by me. I have finally found my dentist! I was SO pleased with my appointment, I called a few days later to schedule a teeth cleaning. If you have serious fears of the dentist, Dr. White and his staff are PERFECT!

Fantastic experience: Our family of 4 has seen Dr. White for more than a quarter century. This in itself says everything. We have seen him when he was in Webster Groves, then we followed him to his new location in Sunset Hills. We drive across the metro area for every appointment and we pass on the way several dental offices, but we never once even contemplated checking another dental office closer to our home. After all these years we continue to be amazed at the quality of service he and his office provide. We see him at least twice a year, more like 3-4 times on average. We don't remember ever waiting more than 2-3 minutes in the cozy waiting room. His staff, from the front desk to his assistants are of the utmost courtesy and they all exhibit a very high level of professionalism. The entire operation is functioning, as the saying goes, ... like e very well oiled machine. From minor, to very complex, delicate procedures, Dr. White is at the very top of the knowledge in his field, using the latest technologies and innovations in dental care. We are taking it for granted after all these years to see, quite often, some new equipment and/or furnishings nearly every other visit and a complete overhaul every few years. Given his tremendous experience, you know you are in the best possible hands. "Golden hands", as I like to tell his assistants. We really feel guilty of not having written reviews like this after every single visit. He has done so much for us and helped us in so many ways, and we didn't even take a few minutes more often to show our appreciation. Yes, we have been very loyal customers, he knows that, yet words to express our full gratitude are hard to find. Thank you Dr. White and your entire staff! The Taranus

Fantastic experience: I have not had the best experiences with other dentist offices and try my best to stay away from dentist unless it's absolutely necessary. However, Michael White, DDS - Sunset Hills Dentist is different. They have demonstrated excellent work and a high degree of integrity. If you're looking for a dentist, look no further.

Fantastic experience: As someone who a gets very anxious going to the dentist and is scared of needles, I can say this was so far my best experience. I had to have a deep cleaning done and I was terrified for weeks awaiting that appointment. Dr White and his wife made sure I had anxiety free treatment and all I can say thank you. Laurel my hygienist had given me the most comfortable shots of my life. Yes I used comfortable and shots in the same sentence thanks to Laurel. First time I was happy and anxiety free coming and leaving the dentist office. Hope Dr.White and his staff live a long life to help us for many more years to come.

Negative experience: The staff was friendly, but the visit was confusing overall. I initially scheduled my visit for an ozone consultation. I was very interested in learning about the direct IV options. Prior to this consultation, I’d spoken with Dr. White on the phone and was told I could receive more information through a consultation. He was kind, informative, and even said people could do their first trial of ozone free. During this phone conversation, Dr. White briefly told me about the Hocott ozone sauna. I booked an appointment for ozone consultation immediately and put in my sick leave for my appointment. The appointment itself was quick and confusing. I was asked about any dental issues so I mentioned a hx of a possible cavity, but emphasized I was there to learn more about direct iv ozone services. My mouth was checked and no cavity, then after again mentioning about ozone consultation I was shown the hcott sauna, given a packet, and sent on my way. As I was paying I expressed disappointment that I was never informed about direct IV ozone services that I was there to learn about. The clerk went to go get Dr. White, but he wasn’t feeling well. I was supposed to receive a call back, but never did. My appointment was 3/26 and I still never got an explanation of direct IV ozone or the callback I was promised.

Fantastic experience: I was treated with respect and kindness by everyone I encountered from the receptionist, dental assistant, Dr. White and billing personnel. I highly recommend this professional and friendly dental team.

Fantastic experience: Dr. White and his staff are amazing. They always go the extra mile. We traveled from out of state to see Dr. White and the procedure was more extensive than anticipated. Dr. White came in the next day on his day off to wrap up the work and save us a second trip. First time my daughter has been comfortable at a dentist. Thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: Such a welcoming office! Everyone is very friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. White saw my teenage son. He was kind and explained the clear liner process to him thoroughly! Dr. White and his office can do orthodontic work, implants and regular dentistry!

Fantastic experience: No one likes going to a dentist--or should I say no one I know! But, if you HAVE to go, I simply could not recommend anyone more highly than Dr. White! The professionalism there is beyond compare. Any work which needs to be done, is done efficiently and with the greatest of care. They are very accommodating and the environment is welcoming and immaculately clean. Staff are friendly, courteous and go above and beyond to maintain patient comfort and allay any fears the patient may have. He is an absolute master at numbing any area which requires work--that alone is worth its weight in gold! He makes himself readily available should any problems arise post-procedure. As older adults, we have been to many dentists over the years but none top Dr. White. If we could give him 10 stars, we would!

I like him because he is very good at what he does and he does things that another dentist would send you to a specialist for. He also stands by his work and will guarantee his care

Fantastic experience: I am 79 years old and have a history of less than pleasant dentist visits. My experience with Michael White's office was different. It has been my experience that good hygienists are hard to find and keep. I went to Michael White's practice because my previous hygienists (from a different practice) quit to be a stay at home mom for her second child. Some hygienists have spent an inordinate amount of time telling me I need to do a better job of brushing my teeth and flossing more ..... like I have never heard that before in my 79 years. Laurel (sp??), my new hygienist, was pleasant and we worked out a treatment plan with purpose and humor with the usual shaming. Dr White was also very pleasant and I felt valued as a customer rather a patient he had to deal with. All around a wonderful and nice visit. A+.

Well your search is over because Dr. White and his staff do an amazing job at making sure you are comfortable with the treatments they will be doing, you are greeted with friendly smiles, and it doesn’t stop there the staff makes sure you are comfortable before you even see Dr. White. There is very little wait time unlike other dentist offices that you may be waiting for over an hour for your appointment while your anxiety builds. Dr. White has an excellent bed side manner and treats you with the respect you deserve your not just the next appointment to him. So if your anxiety is building just looking for a dentist and one that cares look no further than Dr. Michael White. I highly recommend Dr. Michael White in Sunset Hills !!!

She also lengthened my front teeth the way they were before a different Dr. filed them down removing my previous bonding many years ago…I am so grateful for Dr. White and Danielle!!!❤️

From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming, made me feel completely comfortable and they were all very knowledgeable. Dr. White was not only professional but also very kind and very thorough in explaining everything that I’m about to have done. It’s clear that they truly care about their patients. I left feeling very confident I'm in good hands. Highly recommend this practice!

Negative experience: I do not recommend this dental practice and I won’t be going back. Only once, have I experienced more pain than the extraction performed here. The tooth was evidently infected and the deadening agent was completely ineffective- but he moved forward anyway and the staff cheerfully advised that they could get a bridge started for merely $4,000. The pain was extreme and I had difficulty driving home. It was 3 weeks before I could stand to sleep with that side of my face on the pillow- due to significant lingering pain. No stars would better reflect my opinion. My recommendation would be to go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: Doctor White and his entire team have been outstanding. First, I had a dental emergency that he took care of that another dentist missed. Very painful. It was complicated. They took care of me well, thoroughly, and quickly. Next, my special needs sister also had a dental urgent situation. I had an urgent dental issue and they got me in quickly to evaluate whether an extraction was possible in-office or if I’d need to see an oral surgeon. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, and the dental assistant was so sweet—she even rubbed my shoulder to comfort me during the shots! Instead of referring me to an oral surgeon, which would have been much more expensive, Dr.White took care of the extraction himself. He was skilled, efficient, and put me at ease throughout the entire process. I truly appreciate their care and professionalism, and I highly recommend this office to anyone looking for top-notch dental care!

I have the redhead resistance to novocaine thing and Dr White is the first one to have ever actually addressed it. I've had three procedures. Fantastic experience: I had a great experience here. My check-up and tooth cleaning went smoothly and Dr. White and the dental hygienist were both very friendly and helpful. They took my insurance with no issues, and the check-up and teeth cleaning was totally free. I have awful dental anxiety and don't have perfect teeth due to a decade of smoking and drinking coffee, but I did not feel judged at all. I don't feel any anxiety about returning in 6 months for my next cleaning either :)

Fantastic experience: Dr.White removed 2 of my teeth last year. I was finding it was hard to chew on my right side of mouth because of the missing teeth. So I decided to go ahead and get a bridge abutment. I was there for an hour and half. I will be going back in 2 weeks to get the bridge set. I felt comfortable with every procedure that Dr white did and also his assistances. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Dr. White is an expert in his profession! I had an amalgam filling removed, and the procedure he uses in top notch! My husband and both my children go to him too, all transferring from somewhere else. My husband is happier with Dr. White and has recommended him to his family. My children get better dental care than with their old pediatric dentist. He is caring and wants you to have a good experience.

Fantastic experience: I went to Dr. White after chipping my front teeth. Him and his staff were able to quickly take scans and impressions, talk me through the various options, and ultimately replace my chipped teeth with empress crowns. They did a terrific job and were very friendly and informative throughout the entire process.

Fantastic experience: Everyone was friendly and helpful. At the checkout they told me of a plan I could get a certain percentage off for that paid for different office visits and anything else. You just pay very little & the Dentist was friendly and professional. It’s a good place to get all your dental needs taken care of!

Fantastic experience: I am a Multiple Sclerosis (MS) patient. I had all my amalgams removed to avoid any further toxin exposure to my body. I needed 4 implants, and I choose Cera-root because I don’t want metal implants in my jaw. We prayed for God’s Guidence to find a dentist who could do the work at a reasonable cost. In Atlanta (near where we live) prices are impossible. We found Dr. White on the Cera-root website and his office gave us a very reasonable estimate for the four implants. We decided to traveled from GA to St. Louis to have Dr. White do the work. Now that four ceramic implants and crowns have been completed, I can say without reservation that we feel God directed us to Dr. White, and feel bless to have found him. He is a very knowledgeable dentist, who explained the process each step of the way, which helped me understand and be at peace at each step. All his staff are A+, they are sweet, professional, kind and helpful, making the whole process goes smoothly. Thank you. I am very grateful for Dr. White’s expert care, which he provides with patience and humility. Thank you Dr. White, for your help in the process of perusing a healthier life via ceramic implants. Positive experience: My experience was just ok, I did the anti anxiety pills, they did not work well for me. I will take then again next week to see if anything changes. On the other side Dr. White and my hygienist where wonderful.

Positive experience: I would recommend Dr. White as far as bedside manner. He is kind and thorough and doesn't make you feel unimportant by rushing through your appointment like most doctors do. I was a little disappointed when I got charged twice to fix my bite (from work that a different dentist did). After my first visit I called to tell them it was still hitting a tiny bit. She said I could come right back and be seen that day. Because of my busy work schedule, we had to schedule it for 3 days out. At that visit they charged me the full price again ($132) to grind the tooth for about 30 seconds. I explained why that made no sense but they didn't budge.

Fantastic experience: I had a consultation with Dr. White. He was very willing to listen to all of my concerns. I have an issue and have been to many different specialists. I don’t know if he will be able to help but he is sure going to try. Gave me a couple of tips as well as saying he will run this by a few of his very smart colleagues to see if they have any suggestions. I really appreciate that! The office staff is very friendly as well. It was a very comfortable environment.

Fantastic experience: My 1ST visit to Dr. White's office was amazing! I have extreme dental anxiety and medications usually don't work that is why I chose this office since they offer sedation dentistry. I went for a cleaning today without sedation and the hygienist did an amazing job that I didn't even flinch. I do need some work done that I will need sedation for, but Dr. White was very encouraging. Grateful! Sue

Fantastic experience: This place treated me with such kindness and care. I very highly recommend this business. Not just the dentist but the whole staff are completely helpful, kind, gentle, and caring. I had been traumatized by a dentist in the past and Dr. Michael and his staff completely restored my faith in dental healthcare. They are also very informative on how our mouth biome contributes to our overall health.

Fantastic experience: This was my second appointment with Dr. White and his staff. Thus as my second review I am pleased to report consistant, excellent care from Dr. White and his professional staff. The purpose of the appointment was for assessment. Dr. White presented my options and I agreed to the Bridge. My immediate decision prompted Dr. White and his efficient staff to instantly offer me the option to initiate the Bridge preparation with the promise of completion the following morning. Mission accomplished. I walked out of the Dr. White's office at 9:35 am. I did not have to rebook. I did not have to fly back to my home state and return for the actual work. The Bridge was virtually created in house and overnight fabricated at their office. So impressed by each of the individuals who made the extra effort to support Dr. White to create the immediate option to perform the Bridge and significantly minimize my dental care logisitics. I need to emphasize that the dentistry was exceptional. From now on, I will make Dr. White my primary dentist and travel once a year for one of my two annual cleaning appointments. This dental office staff is exemplary with their unified, patient focussed goal and a mind to work!!

Fantastic experience: Very nice office staff friendly, courteous and try to work you in if you're having a problem. Dr. White is nice, friendly and professional. Dr. White solved two different dental issues that no one else was able to diagnose and treat including an Endodontist. I have great faith in Dr. White, he is brilliant. Had my implant placed today. Painless. Perfect. Dr. White and staff are all awesome. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: Husband had to have fillings redone 2 times. Also office staff did not resubmit my dental claim with insurance from last year. Which then called and said we owed. Insurance company said it was on the office for not submitting the claim. Secretary on the phone was very rude and talked over me tried to argue. Will not recommend or go back here again.

Fantastic experience: As a new patient I was so impressed that the office was willing to work me in (toothache) right away. It made me feel like they really care, which you don’t always find these days. I felt my care was spot on.

Positive experience: Dr. White is great! He made me feel comfortable during a difficult procedure. Was disappointed in communication from one person. Visiting from another country and no phone service so was discussing appointments by email. The staff seemed super helpful. Then out of no where "Connie" replied stating "we don't make appointments by email, call the office" then proceeded to ignore any follow-up emails I sent explaining the situation. Really unprofessional and not inclusive.

Fantastic experience: I found Dr. White (and his fantastic team) on a "dentist grades" site and, when I couldn't find anything less than 5 stars, I went in for a long overdue appointment. I later found out my buddy is also a patient and loves this office! They gave me detailed estimates for work needed and helped me work with insurance deductibles and maximum benefits, etc. Any anxiety about my visits completely vanished at my appointments. They're primary concern is your comfort and satisfaction, and I couldn't be happier I found Dr. White!

Fantastic experience: I'd had previous complications with a crown installed about a year ago. A few weeks ago the nerve began to flare up. I wasn't willing to face that pain again and sought out a new dentist. Dr. Michael White offered an anxiety-free procedure that was a lifesaver. I took two pills at bed time the previous night and one the morning of the procedure. I felt absolutely no pain and have no memory of the procedure other than walking into the office that morning. after my wife drove me home, I slept soundly until 8pm that evening and felt very little residual pain. I would 100% recommend Dr. White and his staff to everyone.

Fantastic experience: recently visited the dental clinic, Dr. Michael A White in Sunset Hills. I found Dr. Michael White is a well skilled dentist and as do other doctors who work with him. Not only that, all the staff are very kind, I am quite impressed. My bridged teeth are more beautiful than the original. They are comfortable as well. Thanks to the good doctors, I can eat what I want to.

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough about Dr. White and his staff! I broke my wisdom tooth on Wednesday evening. I called and left a message on the after hours voicemail. At 6:45 am on Thursday I had a text message telling me to call them. I was sitting in an exam room by 7:30 am! They were able to save my wisdom tooth and put a crown on it! Thank you so much for your kind and caring attention to my situation!

Fantastic experience: Did cavitation surgery in two old wisdom teeth areas. I could not be more pleased. Dr White listens, explains everything extremely well, and I’m in nearly no pain. The last time I had a cavitation surgery ( different surgeon) I was in excruciating pain for days. It’s early so I’m hoping for great results in terms of infection elimination. But I could not be more happy thus far.
