Fantastic experience: A very welcoming dental practice, from the receptionist to my dental hygienist, Lauren and Doctor Omar. Great care and a comprehensive examination. My wife was treated by Dr Omar (first name) and she was extremely pleased. Thankfully we selected this practice as our new dental professionals. My visit yesterday, 9/15/2022 was for a cleaning and because of some shoulder/neck issues I was going to cancel however after discussing this the technician, she did a great job and insured I was comfortable during the procedure and I was so I am once again impressed by the care and professionalism of this practice. Visit on Dec 8th, Loren (spelling) absolutely a great dental hygienist. Took her time and did a great job. The admin staff professional and very pleasant. Great visit. Had a visit with Dr. Omar Hasham today August 29, 2023, and he adjusted a temporary crown for me, excellent work an explanation of what he did, I have total confidence in this doctor. 12/12/2023 Cleaning by Molly, she did an outstanding job. 8/6/2024 Clean quiet comfortable office, excellent office staff, accommodating, professional, and proficient. Dental hygienist Molly, a professional caring technician who always does an outstanding job. 4/15/2025 This is a terrific dental practice. This is my 3rd year going to them. The office personnel are so welcoming, and it is a sincere caring that is shown for each patient. Anna and Whitney could not have been more accommodating in assisting me. Molly was my dental technician and she is always as today, very professional and always very thorough in her work. Thank you ladies for another great visit. Dec 17, 2025 The ladies who take care of billing checking schedules are always extremely nice and caring, and Molly, dental hygienist did a superb job again, and I always appreciate her expertise and effort to keep me, my teeth in great shape, again thanks to a great team at the Williamsburg Family Dental practice.

Fantastic experience: Being treated at Williamsburg Family Dentistry went very well from a timely appointment, minimal wait time in the office, a terrific experience with Megan, the hygienist, and review with the dentist, Dr. Rubin, who provided thoughtful assessment of my dental needs and preventive follow-up recommendations. Fantastic experience: Dr Rubin and his team are fantastic. This is only my second time in the office and both times they actually took me ahead of my appointment by 10 min or so. What other Dr office can say that? This appointment was to have my permanent crown put on after a recent root canal. It was quick, painless and feels great. I would highly recommend Dr Rubin at Williamsburg Family Dentistry.

Fantastic experience: Had an occult molar abcess for six months necessitating the removal of the tooth. The extraction was nearly* completely painless. It didn't hurt at all when the drill cut the tooth into pieces, while the smoke, that smelled of burning hamburgers on a grill, drifted up out of my mouth. It didn't hurt when the blood and pus spattered on his glasses and face. It didn't hurt when he grindingly carved out the diseased bone with a curette. I was aware that you can't block the smell and sounds of dentistry short of general anesthesia and this procedure did not warrant the risk of the possible serious (i.e. deadly) complications and greatly increased cost (for the anesthetist). The local did just fine. As long as you realize that the sounds and odors you experience are not associated with any pain, you can tolerate a great deal of clunking, grinding, and whizzing without anxiety. *the only pain was the initial local anesthetic injection and that was only a couple of seconds. Even that first sharp needle stick was numbed by that mint gel stuff. He's good. Piece of cake. I actually wondered why he was taking a break when I realized he was done. Dr. Dunnill was competent and reassuring before and throughout the procedure fully explaining what was going to happen and afterwards what happened and what to expect in the coming days. I am about two weeks out and doing just fine; no complications. Would I have him do it again? Well, actually I'd rather like to keep my teeth, and I expect to keep the rest of them for the duration of my time here one earth. BUT, if in the future, by some very untoward circumstance, I need another tooth removal, I would return to him for the procedure.

Positive experience: Aside from the doctor running 35-40 minutes behind, the procedure itself was relatively painless. The temporary crown feels like it was carved out of a porous rock. Being without a good dental insurance, checkout was a bit painful.

They work efficiently in respect to my time and that of their other patients. They are warm, informative and always asking if I’m comfortable as they work. The team always picks up where we left off—asking (by name!) about the kids, work, etc., whether it’s Anna at the front of the team in the back. And it isn't just cosmetic. Dr. Rubin has taken excellent care of my once-again pearly whites for many years now. He's a busy guy with many patients, but he's always friendly & welcoming, & he always, always takes the time to do the job right.

Negative experience: No longer doing business with this office as they failed to notify us that they no longer take our insurance until the day before the appointment. They claimed they sent an email but we have no record. We were left to seek out another provider. The WFD Office had no answer leaving us out of service for 9 months. Their poor response overshadows the previous review. We have moved on. Previous review: Everyone at Williamsburg Family Denistry is professional and caring. I highly recommend this dental office.

The next day I called the office to ask them to send x-rays to an office in Richmond and they called me back in 5 minutes and had already done it!! I was so grateful for good expedient service

Fantastic experience: This dentistry was recommended to me by the best pediatric dentist dr. B… and I loved it from the doctors to the staff everyone is friendly and wonderful but the most important thing is the service and the work that they do is terrific I seven convinced my wife to go there and that’s not an easy feat. She’s terrified of dental work and have huge anxiety, well after only one visit she is exited to go back and that’s tell you something they are just wonderful. Update: My original review still stands and so far I have done an implant tooth that was very complicated to do that five years ago would be impossible to do, crown and multiple fillings and cleaning. Me and my wife can’t recommend enough this family dentistry it’s a joy to be there no matter how difficult the procedures are it’s always done with care and professionalism. Best practice in our area hands down 2/26/2025 did my cleaning done today and it was wonderful. Just everything is perfect from the doctors to the stuff and most importantly my oral health has never been better in the last 20 or so years ☺️
